Lake's Lawn & Landscape in Waterford Twp

Saw a guy in his early twenties driving a company truck swerving on the road and when we beeped at him he flipped us off. Not a good look for the company.

Even though their prices seemed very high at $65/hour for each person for a four-man crew to work in my garden at my home and office, I loved the work that Becky and her team did, so I continued using them and was willing to pay it. I made sure though that I kept track of how many hours they worked and paid my statements right away. Things were going well up until that point. Then three months later, in September 2023, I get a bill for $1170.00 for work that they said they did at my office on a particular day in June 2023. I told them that I don’t understand where this bill came from because I always paid my bills right away and why was this invoice coming three months after the fact. One of the managers , Koda, said no, that they knew they had done the work and that they had the tracking on GPS and that the bill was correct. I started to pay the bill even though I didn’t feel that I owed it, but I decided to wait to talk to Becky at her next visit to do work at my home. She said that she specifically remembered that on the day they were billing me for, that her crew had gone to my office building by mistake when they should’ve come to my home instead to plant about 20 flats of flowers that I had purchased for my garden at home. However, on that day she said she couldn’t come to my house at that point because they had another customer right after that so they couldn’t come to my home as they should have. But she said that they did not spend more than a half an hour at my office so I did not owe over $1000 for the bill. And my office really was not in need of service on that day. She said she would talk to the manager and tell him what happened and that he would call me and let me know that I did not owe that bill and probably apologize for the mixup. He never did call me and today I called him, because I love Becky and her honesty and work ethic to give them another chance and hire them again this year. But Koda told me that they were all booked up for the whole year and could not service me at all. I feel like, first of all, Koda never did call me and tell me that he knew that I didn’t owe that bill. He did, however, knowledge today that I did not owe anything on my account. But I feel that he’s punishing me for their mistake by telling me that they will not be available to service me again. I really liked Becky and her team that actually did the work, but the office staff are as many of their bad reviews state, very unprofessional and tries to get you to pay bills that you don’t owe and seems to try purposely to rip you off. Instead of apologizing if it was an honest mistake. It’s hard to expect that any company would be perfect, however, I would highly recommend that you thoroughly check your invoices if you decide to use this company.

Becky and her crew did an outstanding job of raking my lawn and removing the massive amount of nuts, twigs, leaves, and debris that covered our lawn. For 45 years I spent weeks slowly raking my lawn hoping this would be the year my body didn't ache. I decided I needed help this year, and fortune smiled down on me. My husband found this outstanding company, I am beyond pleased. Kota answered every phone call and patiently answered all my endless questions. Lakes Lawn and Landscape Company is a premier company. This business does excellent work on my yard and landscaping. Their prices can't be beat. I won't say who I was with previously but Lakes landscape crew made my yard beyond beautiful and the lawn crew is top notch in maintaining my yard to my high standards. Highly recommend this company.

I would highly recommend you NOT use this service. Not sure what happened but since the ownership change things have gone downhill. I hired them to move some bushes and replant some trees. They planted with the wrong grasses and overcharged. They were also inconsistent when they cut my grass (going 11-12 days between cuts) despite paying them upfront for the year for weekly cuts. My grass would consistently be overgrown. Argumentative on the phone citing (labor shortages) and incorrect tracking (said they cut my lawn on a completely different day). A real shame because they did a good job. Now I have to figure out how to cut my grass the rest of the season.

Lakes Lawn and Landscape did a tremendous job for my family in Michigan. We ordered their service as a gift for our extended family in the area, and it was well received, because the work was top-notch and the staff professional. Highly recommend!

Lakes Lawn and Landscaping sold their business to Team Shares, based out of New York. The President is Kevin Greene. Chuck who is in billing, from this new company, blasted me with a invoice that I was not suppose to pay. After a conversation with him on the phone he had me in tears and said I don’t need to pay it. He submitted another invoice at 0 balance and told me they will not service us anymore. He also sent me a nasty e mail too. Since they now have new employees doing the billing, etc., their attitudes towards the customers is appalling. These new employees, not the workers, need to learn how to treat customers with kindness and respect. These type of attitudes do not need to be in customer service since we, the customers are the ones that keep businesses going. Chuck is hot headed, and if you receive an invoice, you need to go over it very carefully because he will charge you way above of what should be paid. Also, he threw accusations at me because I called him out on that invoice and because of that, he didn’t want to do business with us anymore. We have been with this company for over 10 years..
