This is my 2nd year with Lawn Doctor. The first year with the 6 visit service program was great. My lawn looked lush and green. This year is/was not the same. The first service of the year they failed to spray for weeds and the service summary stated they did with a detailed amount of chemical used. I know they didn’t spray because I spoke to the technician who performed the service and he stated it was too cold and the chemical would freeze and harm the lawn. I pursued this with my account rep and he said it was too cold and that weeds were not active yet so they didn’t spray. Then why was I charged in full for the service?. At the current time, my lawn is 50% dead due to a fungus or disease. I am the only one who uses Lawn Doctor in the neighborhood and the ONLY one showing this. The lawn has been dying all season and I first thought it was due to the heat waves and lack of rain and hoped it would come back by now like everyone else. Wrong! I don’t know how I got this fungus or if it might have been tracked from their equipment from somebody else’s lawn. At no time did my technician make an observation or comment on the service summary about this fungus/disease as they are supposed to do so it could be addressed before it got to the current state. My account rep came out and said core aeration/overseeing would fix the problem as well as the season change. Anything to get you spend more on services instead of addressing the problem with fungicide. Big problem is that with no rain, the end of the growing season and leaves falling on my now one acre of dirt, I can’t water that much due to the size of my property and having a well. I also observed that their service summary states how many pounds of chemical were used. I doubt that this is accurate but is just a guess based upon their machine setting and amount of coverage. Again, the cost is based upon these amounts of fertilizer/weed control used. Just a warning. Watch what they do. You are better off with DIY. They will not be back next year as I will have to start rebuilding my lawn. 11/2024. Just another update. DO NOT USE LAWN DOCTOR, IMO! The remaining lawn continues to die, not go dormant due to the ongoing drought as they have stated. I have cancelled my contract with them and will go with Tru-Green for fungicide treatments next year. I am completely unsatisfied with the services that were provided. The grass seed that was spread is still laying on the dirt after 6 weeks. Make sure you can water everywhere after services are performed.
The absolute definition of a scam. We paid to get service done and a tech claimed to have completed the work. We have cameras on every angle of our property…and no one showed up. When we followed up with the owner, they started to gaslight us. We invited them to come review the Ring camera footage and of course they made excuses. Point is they are obviously doing this to unsuspecting customers…making you pay for doing nothing to your lawn. Avoid at all costs unless you like to get scammed.
They can’t even simply grow the grass. They blame Mother Nature and the soil… but don’t want be hold accountable… they just want to charge for each visit without guaranteeing on anything… free recall service is a scam
I was serviced by young person on 5/31/24. He sprayed weed control on my flower garden. My flowers that was growing well are all dead. He was not supposed to spray a 5’ radius of my vegetable-raised garden because of chemical issues, he sprayed all around the garden. I am very upset by sending a non-trained person to my yard to destroy all the gardens that I worked for the last 3 months. I’ve never experienced this kind of disappointment.
I have requested several services with Lawn Doctor of Warren - for lawn treatments I am never sure if all treatments were completed - we are now in June and the lawn has only been treated once - Garden treatments seem to be performed. The first several times the technician had chemicals all over walkway and lawn - a sloppy rushed job. When I brought this up to L Dr. The next treatment they barely treated the gardens and I have more weeds now than I ever had. This will be my last season with Lawn Doctor of Warren
Nothing but great things to say about Lawn Dr. of Warren, however my lush, thick green lawn says it all. Employees are diligent and don't race through the applications to get to another customer. I used a different company years ago and my lawn suffered from chemical leaks that burned the grass and received no response from their manager on why. I told them to never come back.
We have been using Lawn Doctor for years and they are doing a great job for us at a competitive price. They are nice people to do business with.. We get at least a couple compliments a season on how nice the lawn looks. Thank u Lawn Doctor.
I have been using The Lawn Doctor of Warren for a few years now. my lawn has never been better. wish I had switched to them years ago. Mother deer even trust leaving their babies in my front yard.

Warren and his lawn crew doing outstanding job. They were excellent to me when I was a customer, however we ran into a billing issue following year and their office manager was just awful to deal with, being stubborn and unwilling to work with me. I took care of the issue down the road, and their customer service was still terrible and they treated me like a pariah. As much as I would want to deal with them for their terrific Lawn Care, the office staff, and/or billing department, are terrible when it comes to customer service. Its a shame because I really like Warren, who goes the extra mile. If you deal with them, pray you dont have any type of a billing misunderstanding or discrepancy. SMH

I was all ready to set up services with this branch and was told I had to give a credit card to be billed automatically every month. I told the gentleman I dont ever pay any bills on automatic and I would need a paper bill so that I can pay them every month. He told me they do not do that for any customer. I asked to speak to someone higher up and he told me they said they cant talk to me and that automatic payment is the only method of payment they will accept. To boot, I come to find out a family friend uses them for years and they get a paper bill in their mailbox with every visit and their credit card is not on file. Perhaps because they were speaking to woman they decided to treat me as such? Definitely will not recommend them and am going to be using their competitor instead.

We had the 6 step program with lawn doctor. We noticed that our grass seems to pull up very easily and that despite having numerous weed control service with them we started seeing some weeds coming back out front. I emailed Mason who is our contact and told him of the issues. We did have them do a grub service as well but never ever have we seen any grubs so we were concerned there is a turf issue. I explained to Mason that I want someone to come out when I am home which is 3 days a week plus weekends so I can walk with them and show them where the problems are. Today one of my work days they show up and left me a paper saying everything looks great. I called and spoke with Mason and conveyed how upset I was since I told him to please come when I am home. He insisted he sent me several emails saying he could not guarantee he could do that yet I have no emails to that affect. Now I have all his other emails he sent me but not those??? How convenient on their part. He said there is absolutely nothing wrong with our lawn. I said you weren t out back he said I looked over the gate and saw nothing and the grass is green. I said yes the grass is very green that s not my concern. At that point he was disrespectful and kept saying there s nothing wrong and we only come out for service calls at no charge if there is a problem and there s not. He then said if you have some bald spots you need seeding. Hint hint I guess for their aeration and seeding. I said what s good if we seed if there is turf issues he just kept fighting me on why he didn t see anything when he looked. You can t see the areas of you are not in the back yard but he didn t want to hear it. We are discontinuing their services and would highly NOT recommend them especially if it s in Masons territory. They are nothing but a chain who could care less and won t satisfy the customer. I wanted him to come back at some point so I could show him but NOPE!!!! They are a rip off!!!!!

I have been using Lawn Doctor for the past 3 years. I have seen excellent results only lawn. If I have any concerns, Lawn Doctor is always quick to receive my call and respond. They have done site visits, met with me and discussed solutions.

I have my lawn cared for by Lawn Doctor, so far I have not seen great results. I had power seeding aeration and seeding done and fertilizer and weed control. The weeds are minimized, but they offer other services called Yard Armour that reduces spiders, crickets, centipedes, ants, fleas and ticks for additional cost. Also they offer tree and shrub care and soil enrichment, lime applications, grub prevention for additional cost. I received a flyer in the mail for a $52.78 charge for my lawn only. Yet they are charging me more than $70. I spoke with them about the disparity but they said that the price works out to be the same. Huh? I will have to wait a few months to see if my lawn looks improved. I have tried other lawn companies with poor results. I apply lime intermittently to green up my lawn but I see grubs in the lawn and they told me they dont do grub control until summer as that is when they feed. But on the bag of Spectrazide it says it can be applied in May to control insects and grubs. I dont want to wait until grubs have had a chance to start feeding and destroying my lawn!
We renovated our home back in 2018 and have been using Lawn Doctor to grow and re-work our entire yard. We have received to get so many compliments and so many people on our street now use them. We cannot thank them enough for the best grass and best care. We love letting our kids run around on our grass knowing how well it is cared for!

I started using Lawn Doctor about 5 years ago. Even though I was putting down all the chemicals and fertilizer my lawn had crabgrass and grubs issues. Since using Lawn Doctor no more crab grass or grub issues. My grass has never looked so good.

Lawn Doctor applies weed and feed and whatever nutrients it needs for growth and color. They always apply on schedule and leave a list of work done at my door. Since we live in a woodland area, we have the warm weather monthly insect sprays. We never are bothered by ticks and other insects. It s so much easier than our buying and applying the products. Ive tried several competitors but these guys get the best results. It isnt just price. Even after returning for touch ups or spot treatments, for some reason the other guys just never get as good results as Lawn Doctor. Thorough and complete weed control and fertilizing. Prompt, courteous service. Highly recommended.

I reach out to these folks when I have questions or issues and I should and am doing the same here and now when I have nothing but compliments!!! Went thru the spring with literally no dandelions and now when every neighbor is sporting crab grass and clover and I am proudly sporting nothing but green grass across two acres. Lawn is not perfect (but that is on us because of the type of grass seed chosen) but it significantly better than anyone else in the area. I thank you folks for your excellent service!!!
The service provided on the lawn was good. The problem was if you had a question you spoke to Mason and Tyrel the customer service team. If you call with an issue they will attack you verbally and even hang up. The last time i called when I was confused about a 300.00 service when my service was 150.00. I called and spoke with Mason for a 2nd time yelled at me and threatened to cancel my account. I told him i do not want to cancel just dont understand the double charge. I was shocked how easily he was willing to lose a 1800.00 account for a business he was paid to represent. I said this is a bad business decision does the owner know a simple phone call generates cancelation of service. You are the customer service Manager, and then he hung up on me. I thought it was just a bad day for him but sure enough after I paid the bill he deleted my account.
These guys are a joke. I have decent size lawn and they just left me a bill saying that they watered it to a depth of 6 to 8 inches, their company was here for less than 5 minutes! It would take at least 2 hours to water it to 1 inch. Don t waste your money.
Most satisfied! I switched from a major competitor to Lawn Doctor last season largely due to the competitors sales tactics. I love Lawn Doctors passive suggestions for additional services that are left to me to choose on my own timeline. Im also pleasantly surprised that my lawn appears greener than my neighbors who is still with said competitor. Thank you Lawn Doctor!

I have been using this company the past two years and my lawn has looked increasingly better. There is less moss on the lawn and they did an excellent job in controlling weeds - specifically dandelions which were pervasive the year before I started using them. They also call to let me know the day before providing the scheduled service.
What impressed me the most was Lawn Doctor even sponsored a golf event for a student of mine who died of cancer. They support community.

I have been using Lawn Doctor for about 20 years as they do a great job! I have received many compliments on my lawn and it is because of Lawn Doctor! They are there are for the services that I request and they do not pressure me to do more. Over the years, they have provided helpful solutions for issues like grubs that do not come out every year, but when they you do, just one treatment from Lawn Doctor and they are gone for many, many years. Their workers are always polite and they always call the day before coming so if I need to change the date of the service, I can do that. I find them consistent and reliable and will stay with them!

Been using them for a few years and I am happy with the results. However I questioned if my last the last aeration and seeding was done and I was told it was but I saw no evidence of it. I spoke with them and was assured that it was completed and I didnt see the evidence because it was a few weeks after they performed the service. I will have to wait until the Spring to see the results.

Turned my lawn around in a little over a year. My lawn consisted of weeds and brown spots. Now it is dense, weed free and deep green. Neighbors have told me I have the best looking lawn on the street. I receive notice a couple days in advance of an upcoming treatment. Rescheduling is never a problem and knowing that my lawn service comes at the end of the week, treatments are scheduled for the beginning of the week. This service is knowledgeable and reliable. I cant say enough great things about Lawn Doctor! We have been using their services for about 2 years now. Our lawn used to have a lot of weeds, be browning and turning colors in certain areas, and have bald spots. Since we used Lawn Doctors Services, our lawn is about as green as you can get! We get compliments constantly from neighbors and Ive referred everyone to them. They are friendly, very courteous, always call before service appointments, and are always accessible. I used a different lawn doctor office when I lived in Union county. I wish I could have continued with them, but unfortunately I think different regions have to use different lawn doctor offices. The staff from Springfield was great. My lawn always looked beautiful. I tried the place in Washington when I moved to my new place in morris county. The guy who did the service was at my house for less than ten minutes even though I have an acre of lawn. I noticed that he was not putting in enough material. I said something once and he redid the lawn. Then again it happened and when I told him I was not happy, he just told me to call the office to complain. Needless to say, I had crabgrass and weeds all season. I m sure it s because they did not use enough product in the lawn at the start of the season to prevent the crabgrass. It s unfortunate that different franchises operate to different standards. I called the office and told them I wasn t renewing my contract with them. They did not seem to care at all.

I have used the Washington, NJ branch of Lawn Doctor for several years. The team is very understanding about calling prior to coming to the house so I have the opportunity to block my dogs from going out. They have always been responsive when there has been an issue (there have been very few.) There are several spots in my lawn where the machine wont fit and the team knows they need to do the application by hand and they do. Overall, I have been pleased with the level of service AND the compliments on my beautiful lawn.

At first (2016) very good service and results, but this season service was poor and weed control not effective. Left feedback twice and no response. tech broke a landscape light and no response to date. not recommended and I will try another service.

Their website says Our expert will help you determine which treatments your lawn needs for fuller, healthier growth and will provide you with an estimate for lawn services from Lawn Doctor of Hackettstown. yet they will ONLY give a price over the phone. They said they dont send sales staff to homes to look at properties anymore! My yard has dead spots, lush thick grass and areas that are thinning. I need someone to come and tell me what can be done and what it will cost. Not this let me pull up your house on a computer so I can look at the property from Google Maps. If you cant put effort in designing a plan based on what the customer actually needs then I dont need your business.
Great service at a reasonable price. We had another company that charged twice what LD charges....and theres absolutely no difference in the quality of the work. Plus LD doesnt try to upsell me on ever visit (or call every other week trying to upsell like the old service did). Highly recommend them.
Used Lawn Doctor for the first time this year. I was completely satisfied with the service and the results. Completely eliminated any weed, crabgrass, etc from my entire lawn. Very satisfied!
We switched companies and very happy who we chose. Our lawn looks great and had no issues. Told them they couldnt use their big machine to put the treatments down because it wouldn t fit between our house and our neighbors. No problem, they do it by walking the property. We had electrical work done and they tore our lawn up and this company made it come back looking great. Hoping this continues with great service and our lawn looking great.

Just started using them this year. I had to get Power Seeding for my lawn. I was a little nervous since its a costly service thats extra from the normal visits. The grass is coming in very nicely so far so I would say it was worth the price...and this is on ground that I had a lot of trouble growing grass on my own. Every technician Ive spoke with on the phone has been very friendly and helpful for any questions Ive had. Ive had no issues at all in the short time Ive used them. Im very happy with the service so far.

While I do like that they are doing a nice job on my lawn. I wish they would give a heads up like a day before they arrive so I can clean up so the fertilizer will go on the grass and not the toys/dog toys/baseballs etc in the yard. Also I think they confuse me with my neighbor sometimes when I get an email saying they were there, but nothing in the mailbox or door. So I call and they say they were there, but no flag either! I do want to like the service more, just wish these few items were solved.
Service has been great. Previous companies damaged turf on hillside. Lawn Doctor has been careful not to do this. Ive been a satisfied customer for several years.

Lawn Doctor Of Warren does a good job maintaining my Lawn. The lawn has definitely improved under their care. They keep you up to date on all of their current specials and even apply a discount for being a current customer.
The results after the first application were terrific and I could see how green and lush the lawn was turning after each of the six application. I also elected to have the core aeration / overseeding resulting in grass growing in places that didnt have growth in years. I highly recommend Lawn Doctor of Warren.
My lawn never looked better. Wish they would use granules so I can physically see the application, but I know they are applying from the results.
