The Weed treatment could have been more thorough. I pointed out where I could see the weeds that were not treated but was told to call if they were not dead within a couple of weeks. I appreciate diligence not slackness where I always have to monitor and follow-up.

Saw immediate results after lawn was treated for crab grass and weeds. Would prefer some personal communication rather than a bunch of emails but not as much a priority as the lawn results

DO NOT RECOMMEND! Last week, I called trugreen to notify them we has baby bunnies about 1 1/2 weeks old nested in the grass in our yard, they noticed the tech before arrival. When the tech arrived, he banged on our door and walked back to truck. When I answered the door, he turned around, annoyed and I explained, DO NOT SPRAY AROUND THE BUNNIES. I had the area closed off and covered with an umbrella. I checked on them just before the tech arrived. I again checked them after he left and the nest was empty! These babies were just opening their eyes. I looked everywhere for them, I found 1 next to the fence across the yard, scared. Soon after the mom showed up looking for her babies, only 1 was left. After realizing the tech took the other 4 bunnies, I am cancelling trugreen and notifying authorities. Do not hire this company! They hire thieves! God only knows what else they would take if you were not home!

Tech Amber knowledgable, listened to my question, and informed me that probable not necessary to reapply recent rain soaked application. Ty!

So the gentleman who performed mymosquitoe service was awesome. Its a bit early in the season but I have seen a few of the pesky creatures. It may rain tomorrow too so if the mosquitoes get numerous in a week or two I may need to call in the free repeat service.

It went well for 4 years and then . . . . The lawn yellowed and I called once and a manager was supposed to arrive today -- the kid came who does the spraying. I called this afternoon and whereas the fellow answering the phone was very nice, he didnt know what he was doing. He even made me stay on the phone while he tidied up some work -- he didnt know to say that the manager would give me a call and set up a time to see the lawn. 20 minutes on the phone with mostly quiet time.

Technician was super nice and explained to me step-by-step what he was doing in order to improve my lawn.

I inquired once and then they would not leave me alone. I kept telling them that I wasnt looking right now, but they persisted. Just now I received a call asking when they can schedule me and I asked if they would take me off the list because of this and he just hung up on me entirely. You are better off with a company that doesnt treat you like a number or a sale.

I cancelled service 3 times with their customer service department. I told them not to come to my house and resume service. They show up to my house anyway and perform a service I told them NOT to do. Then they try billing me. I called customer service again and told them I am not paying for an unauthorized service. They said they will cancel my subscription and no charge. I get an invoice today via email. These people have zero customer service skills, they do not listen to their customers and do what they want. Unprofessional clown show. Next step, calling the Attorney General.

We moved into our new house and the lawn was in terrible condition. We hired the experts at TruGreen and they have turned it into one of the best looking lawns on the block.

I would first like to share that my problem is with the company TruGreen and not with the local branch in RI that performs the service. Under no circumstances will TruGreen let the customer speak with the local branch. The phone number for the local branch connects you with the national call center. TruGreen scheduled me for a lime (PH) service in April and after I watered it in, I found out a weed and feed was performed, after I found the receipt in the mailbox. That explains why my eyes were watering and I had a sore throat. Weed and feed is not supposed to be watered in. My TruGreen account said a PH service was performed, and a TruGreen supervisor said actually the lime service was done 2 hours earlier the same day. He said he would email me the receipt, which he never did. When I called back, I was told the lime service had not been performed yet. By then, I knew that because we have a doorbell camera. I made several requests to speak with the service providers, but always got called back by the call center. They also will not email you either, as they do not want a written record. The RI branch always provides good service, but there is no way to coordinate with them, because customers are not allowed to speak with them, only the Call center This will be the last year I use TruGreen.

Used this company last year and each time they showed up they were here about 10 minutes. Seed did not return this year so I decided I would not use their service, however they called me and as opposed to trying to remedy problem of seed not returning, they would charge me an extra $30 each application for same service??????

As long as they do the work at the right house is ok, but I got charged for a service performed at the wrong house, I got a refund back , 2 years ago I prepaid for all the applications, and at the end of the year they were short one application, no refund, was told that the price for the following year was going to be less, Customer service is no always helpful.

Should be called false green. After a year with this company my lawn looks no better, it still has lots of weeds and bare spots!

Services performed 5/1/2023: Lawn spring fertilization and weed control, Shrub fertilization and pest control. Kevin was very professional and knowledgeable about lawn care. Matthew was the same about shrub care. They were both very patient with my questions! I cant wait to see the results!

Boiler Room Scam artist. I could not be more disappointed. Note, multi year client. Received the yearly phone call for our service. Based on financial considerations, I told them that I would renew if they kept the same price. No hard feelings if they could not and understood prices go up. Unfortunately, my situation changed and it makes a difference. After a minute or so, the sales rep comes back and says no problem. Good to go, let me put it on the credit card and we are all good. Well, come to find out, the weasel only put us in for front service, not sides or back. well, the back looks awful. I only found out when I happen to be home and I questioned the tech why he only did the front. I get a visit from a manager who tells me what happened. To meet my price,, they cut the service but did not tell me. That is stealing....... period. He agrees to an aeration and seeding to fix. Twice I take a day out of work to be there and twice I get a text saying they are not showing up. We are now at the point where this treatment wont make a difference and I will have to do it myself. STAY AWAY!!!! Mistakes happen but misrepresentation and bait and switch is stealing. PERIOD!!! You cannot get anyone on the phone, just women working from home as customer service. Filing a claim with RI Attorney Generals office. Probably wont get me anywhere but at least I will go on record. UPDATE: Received a call from customer service and they arranged to have a aeration and seeding with a grub service to follow. This was to repair the damage done by no treatment in the backyard. Again, front looked great because it was treated. I give kudos to the customer service person who took the time to do multiple follow ups to make sure the treatment was done. I will reserve amending the rating until we see the results of this work. Again, be very careful when talk to any sales person at Tru Green and make sure you are getting what you are paying for. It is behavior like this that gives sales people a bad rap. Stay Tuned. Update. They did repair the damage. I went with them again but make sure I get what I expect. The tech that comes is a young woman. Conscientious and listens and address issues. So far so good. Always trust but verify!

extremely unprofessional, spoke with a real beep of a customer service reprehensive didnt get her name but she should be fired. Wouldnt tell me what I was getting for the service and just kept trying to get me to give her my credit card. Terrible experience, im sure there are plenty of other companies that to the same work that are pleasant to speak with. Highly do not recommend

Super happy with the Mosquito control applications this year and the guy who applied the applications (think he did all of them). Very thorough, consistent, and considerate! Honestly, in previous years, I was not always 100% satisfied. Seemed like different people came each time and it was somewhat inconsistent and not always thorough. Different story this year-that s why I rated it 5 stars!

This review is not specific to this location. I have used True Green service for four years now. The first couple of years were great the product worked well. The last two years however have been disastrous. My lawn is an embarrassment to my neighborhood and the fact that I pay over $1000 a year for this service is embarrassing. It s as if the product they use for crab grass control is no longer working. I have called and complained and got extra applications and nothing works. I have canceled my subscription and I have decided to go with a local company with proven results. Finally I would like to compliment the people who serviced my lawn with Trugreen, they have a great crew.

Communication as to when they were coming was an issue. Preformed a aeration and over seeding in the middle of August when the temperature outside was at its strongest. I would have to run my sprinklers day and night to keep the grass from burning.

Worst lawn care company ever

I called because my true green technician couldnt open my back yard door I reschedule and they gave me the next appointment was great the next day and he also apply something for weeds too... always and excellent service. Completely recomend if you want your grass to look really good.

I used tru green on two properties. The lawns are left no better than when tru green started. So I wasted a bunch of money. In some areas where it appears they burn the lawn it never came back even after I managed to get one property over seeded last fall by them. The grass seed never germinated. I do not recommend trugreen. Your better off getting a local company.

Pros: My lawn has really improved with the service. Very thorough and come back if there are any issues. Cons: The mosquito treatment scheduling was not ideal. Once was when they rescheduled when I mentioned I was having an outdoor event so no treatment was provided a the time needed. Other times the treatment wasnt adequate and I still got bit by mosquitos (I get bad reactions to them. Thats mainly why I get the treatment.) Suggestions: provide dethatching service.

Horrible experience. $600 and they did nothing for my lawn or grass. Had to call to cancel my account 3 times before they stopped trying to bill me for services I wasnt requesting. They come for 3 minutes (observable on time in out report) spray water on the weeds and then leave. Stay away from this company.

Very disappointed in Tru Green. Called and got quoted front and back yard, confirmed this multiple times with the rep on the phone to be sure. Also asked that before they come each time to call me so I can unlock the back gate and make sure my dog is inside. Tech shows to the house without calling, I am not home so they can only do the front and have to reschedule to do the back, ok fine it happens. Next time tech shows up with out calling again, luckily I am home, ask him to do the back yard, he says he is only doing the front. I have to call and speak with a rep who then needed to authorize the tech to do the back yard which he does. I then say I am not happy with their service and would just rather cancel my plan. Rep on the offers a discount to stay which I agreed to, but that never came. I was suppose to be contacted by sa manager from the local office, they would call when I was at work and wouldn t leave a message with a direct line. I would have to call the 800 # which was sending me in circles. My lawn might be in worst shape than when I first reached out, called to cancel today and hopefully will be refunded soon. I would avoid and recommend going with someone local.

AWFUL!! They ruined my lawn. Ive called many times, called corporate and they were very attentive apologized for not getting back to me. They continue to say they will resolve issue. 1st picture is my lawn section they did not treat. 2nd picture (burnt I believe) is what they have treated. I cant seem to resolve the issue

Destroyed my lawn. My grass was green now it s black and completely burnt by the fertilizer. A fortune was spent on sodding my front and back lawn and in a matter of a few TruGreen visits my lawn is destroyed.

Called and ask to have lawn evaluated for grubs in all my brown patches , Tech said there was none ! My lawn was the result of a tough summer! Although I have a sprinkler system that went off every other day ! All you need was to stick a shovel in my lawn and you would see the grubs and sod worms ! Called to cancel my service and they still came anyways and applied fertilizer in which I feel they really skimp on and barely saw any fertilizer in my lawn ! Your better off doing it yourself ! Would not recommend their services at all !!

Terrible company I feel like Ive been robbed. They performed services I didnt request. Ruined my lawn. If you try and call you get someone from corporate. They say a manager will call in 24 to 72 hours. If you miss the call you have to start all over and wait another 24 to 72 hrs for a one chance call screw these people

Used trugreen for aeration and overseeding as well mosquitos. They are the worse, never use them. buyer beware they do not show up on time tend to cancel on you day of and do not back there work with the stuff they say they will do. one star as this company does not care about there customers or care to make unahppy customers whole again. they ruined my lawn and did not finish there work, on top of it when no one is here they will just walk around your yard and say the work is done. Yes people have cameras on there house i see everything. AWFUL COMPNAY NEVER USE THEM AND STAY AWAY !!!! Im still waiting for a manager to call me and its been 3 weeks.

Stay away! Scammers, would lie and not perform service by stating that the fence was closed. Now if I only had a fence. Also would not add applications to the backyard. Furthermore, they charge your credit card hundreds of dollars AFTER you cancel the service.

I recently had a concern with a service done to my property last Monday. I called the 800 number and that call was followed up with a return call which led to a manager, Dale, coming to my home. Dale was very professional and knowledgeable and took the time to fix the problem. This amazing customer service saved me as a customer and I want to say thank you.

Boy oh boy, before leaving notes on people s doors trash talking their yards, make sure you know how to grow grass yourselves. Crabgrass running rampant , thanks dude. It s also early spring and the snow just melted. You could learn a thing or two about how to get people to use your services, notes like that are just rude. Oh, and I like how you recommend mosquito defense. Ive seen maybe two mosquitos in the three years I ve lived in this town. It made my day to log on here and see that they ve made people s lawns look WORSE than mine, and think they re pros in this game !

Have big dead spots, and they are unable to resolve for going on to the third year. unable to call they say the box is full, or they will call me back ;still waiting. Judging by previous problems they dont have a clue.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY __________________________________________________________ 4/22/2021 UPDATE: TRUGREEN did promptly reach out to resolve this. They rescheduled service for 4/22/2021. It is now 6:45PM on 4/22/2021 and TRUGREEN has not showed up. No call, e-mail or update to the online account. If I could give a 0-star review or additional 1-star review I would. ____________________________________________________________ Im going on my 3rd year with TRUGREEN and have seen a steady decline in my lawn after year one. I was using a local service then switched over to TRUGREEN and there was a significant improvement in that first year. Now the moss and bare spots are steadily increasing. We also use their mosquito defense periodically and requested a service early in 2021 because we have an outdoor event on 5/1/2021 and the mosquitos are very bad in the area. I know the weather has been a little strange, but we were scheduled to have service today, 4/19/2021, and no one showed up. No call to make us aware of this or to reschedule. I will certainly be shopping for a new lawn service if there isnt improvement.

We have been customers since 2017, we scheduled mosquito service to be started April 1st in March, at this point they have not shown up three times. Every time we have called customer service they assure us they will be coming they have yet to come. We will be cancelling all services and would never recommend their services. Update: The response True Green just offered to contact their customer service is a joke that is who we have been contacting. At one point I was told a manager would reach out to me I have yet to hear from anyone.

Fantastic service in a great product

I have purchased lawn care service calling customer care on 06/11/2021. I was told that total service costs $813.25 which covers Weeding, Fertilization, Soil, Lime/Potassium amendment for One year (until June 2022) which includes Aeration & Overseeding in coming fall. They asked for the credit card details and they deducted $1571.95, $ 129.15 & $129.15 which is double the times the agreed amount. I didnt receive any invoice or I was not informed of this deduction. They told me that they will schedule the first visit by next week (June 3rd week). I lost trust before even they starting their service.

Service is excellent this year. My lawn is beautiful although not much rain. Keep up the good work.

Half the people dont know what they are doing. Seems like there is no training for the specialists. All they do is complain about other lawns.

Horrible experience with these people. Can never get anyone on the phone, sales rep sells job but then can not get in touch with him. Computerized scheduling is A MESS! Getting a day notice has been less than easy. Over seeding & Aeration is a Fall service, they text an hour before showing up in July to do this service. Horrible Horrible Horrible will NEVER recommend them, and I gave them 3 sales. So Sorry I did.

Signed up with them at begining of the season. First visit they DID NOT provide service to my backyard and yes, gate was unlocked and they had access. Just had 2nd service preformed today and yet again, no back yard service. All done.............

I hired Trugreen because my lawn was devastated by grubs. Before starting in Spring I asked that they send someone out to evaluate the lawn. They didn t bother and just started w/ the first application. They did not treat for grubs until I called them in July. Also, they spot treat for weeds so if tech misses a spot you get weeds (I think this is part of the gimmic of the service). Broad leaf weeds have been a problem despite coming back a second time (for free). Last, you get a different tech every time so they don t know you re lawn and unless I m home and tell them to treat lawn between street and stone wall it doesn t get done. Trugreen is all about getting you in their program, pumping out tech visits and billing you. No attention to detail that is obvious to me. I will likely be trying a different company next year.

My husband has been trying to get a supervisor out to house for 3 weeks. The last application turn our beautiful green lawn to hay. We have called at least 10 times and we are always promised a call back within 24 hours and that has never happened. We have had 2 set appointments and no one shows up. A service person came by and took a picture of our grass to send to the supervisor and still no one shows up. This happened last year too and at least someone showed up to correct. What do we have to do to get service?!!

I was driving on the highway when thier employee tryed to tace and cut me off and when he wasnt fast enough to cut me off when he got next to my car he threw a water bottle or something at my car hitting my mirror on my passenger side causing it to break I called and havnt gotten a call back my next step is pressing charges against the company so i can get my car fixed it happend sep 15 6.15 am license plate had 9337 didnt get the other number it was a white male older looking

I switched services this past summer thinking my lawn would be even better than last summer and the pricing was better, my lawn was impeccable until TruGreen came and destroyed it. Dead patches all over the place from a lawn that looked like Augusta National last summer. Had tech come out for fertilizer and made one pass and left and marked job done. then when I tried to cancel my service for the year the account rep told me that she was going to keep my service going. no you arent. thanks to you im done.

I just had a TruGreen truck drive over my front lawn in order to do a U-turn! If they dont know how to drive, why would you use them!! Keep an eye out for the TruGreen truck, USDOT 342305! They try to take care of your neighbors lawn by defacing yours!!!

I have had nothing but trouble with the RI branch of this company. I tried them for a while too. An agent would show up, say they rang the doorbell - they didnt, say they treated the entire yard - they wouldnt ever go into the back which is 99% of my yard. I have cameras around my entire property and saw everything they they did(nt) do. The one time they did go into my back yard he put down something he wasnt supposed to. I had just paid a lot of money to have loam spread and expensive seed put down. The chemical they sprayed stopped the seed from germinating. I had detailed conversations with the office about not treating the lawn because of the seeding and the notes in my account said not to treat with that particular treatment at that time. The agent didnt bother to look at the notes. The supervisor tried to make it good, he came out and spread more seed but nothing grew and I have an entire side lawn that is nothing but a mud pit now.

I tried to get a free estimate THREE times and no one would get back to me. I m a new home owner who s ready to pay for quality lawn care and I thought Tru Green was top notch. I never write reviews, but Tru Green, you guys need to hear this. I m aware we re in the middle of a pandemic, but no one ever stated being understaffed or anything. I started online, filling out the request form. Someone called me within minutes to get more info. They set expectations that someone from the office in my area (Rhode Island) would contact next within one day. They never did. Two weeks later, I filled out the online request form again. The same person called me, took the same basic info down, and set the same expectations. This time, I let him know it was my second attempt at getting a call back. Not only did he say the manager from the local office would reach out to me this time, but he himself told me he d follow up to make sure I got a response. Neither the branch manager or him called me the next day. I took a third swing, because at this point I just need the work done. I got in touch with the local office directly, answered my an operator, who took down some info and then transferred me to speak to a sales rep. I was on hold for 30 minutes in dead silence, no background music so I m not sure if I was even being transferred, and then decided to hang up. It just wasn t meant to be, but I wanted Tru Green to see that they re missing out on new clients.

If they have the right personnel or equipment to do the job correctly, I never saw them. Money down the drain.

The technician did not shut the fence gate and my dog got out and was almost hit by a car. I called and spoke with a manager who didnt apologize or offer to do anything about it except make a note on our file to shut the gate properly next time. Are you kidding me? Worst customer service Ive ever experienced. The mosquito service is also the biggest ripoff going. It does NOTHING to stop mosquitoes. Im ending my service immediately.

I would not recommend using this company. I had them for two years. I bought grub control both years and got grubs both years. When I first noticed grub damage this year, I checked and there were active grubs, they came out and said there was grub damage but no active grubs and didn t treat the lawn. It got worse and made them come out again. This time they said there were active grubs and put down treatment 2 weeks ago. There are still active grubs. They told me two weeks ago they would reseed the damaged areas but they never did. Very unprofessional. Now I am left with half my back yard damaged and I had to dig it up and reseed myself.

We hired TruGreen after working all Spring and mostly Summer on our lawn ourselves. We were sick of buying the products needed and the time it took to care for the lawn. After 6 or 7 treatments, our lawn looks full, lush and green. We had a few challenges with service calls, but they quickly fixed them every time no questions asked. For example, our crab grass was so bad that we needed them to come back 3-4 additional times to spray it and they did. We had our sprinkler system installed after the overseed application so the ground was disrupted. We asked them to come back and redo the overseed and they did it. The service technicians were always polite both on the ground and on the phone. They are easy to get ahold of and are able to answer the questions we had. The instructions after each application were clear. While this was an investment, it was worth it. If having a beautiful lawn is important to you and you are committed to following the instructions and most importantly, consistently watering every single day then you will be satisfied. We are so proud of our how lawn looks now. We work so hard to make our home look nice and the lawn is the cherry on top. Thank you!

Never received fall fertilization. When I called to ask why, the answer was I cant tell you why. No effort to resolve issue.

Not overly impressed with the service. Had multiple problems. There price is decent but. you get what you pay for !!!! There are certain service technicians that do a good job and there s other ones that just don t care. Their airration service was absolutely terrible they did a totally incomplete job. The management scheduled the crew to come out in the pouring rain to due the airration service, I had to send them home three different times because they would have ended up just making big rutts in my lawn. The manager should have known this. In the spring I was told that they were going to put down a pre-emergent and come the end of June my own lawn was filled with crabgrass. I spoke with the technician in the end of June and he said that it looks like they never put down any pre-emergent at all!

Arrived around 830am walked property with them . courteous attentive. Went over borders. First time user always did work myself. Time will tell if this is a better way. My son says it will be. Also had shrubs and trees done .

On April 3, 2019 Mr Raymond Tourigny did an excellent job by applying the first fertilizer and preemergent crabgrass control on my lawn. Hopefully I will get good lawn without any weeds this year.

I had TRU GREEN 2 years ago and was very happy with the results from the technicians! I had the best looking yard on my street. . I went with another service because It was cheaper by 200 bucks. . They killed my grass.... all of it! I fired them! . Very disappointed! Went from best looking yard to ugliest yard in 1 season.... I learned my lesson! I have TRU GREEN back in my life and I m getting my yard back to the way it used to be! . Thanks guys!

Would have given 5 stars but they come whenever they want even if theyre told not to.. The grass definately has improved since starting the program but it can be pretty pricey..

Have contacted these people three times to get an itemized receipt and contract. My wife paid them $840.00 for a year of service. I contacted them three times to get a receipt showing we paid that money and a forecast of what they will provide. They have sent us 5 sale flyers. They REFUSE to send us a receipt. I have called - my wife has called. They will not send us a receipt.

We hired Trugreen two years ago to help make our lawn look lush and green as there were few patches of grass that were less lush along with a few dandelions. We shouldve read the previous reviews before spending thousands of dollars. Trugreen put so many chemicals and treatments to the lawn that quickly killed the lawn within the season. We went from having a very nice lawn to a dead lawn within one year. We got the complete service plan and have made at least 13 service call complaints over the last 2 years. Every time we called to complain that the lawn was dying and looking worse and worse with each passing month, we were told that we had to give the process time to work. We trusted them as lawn professionals even though we could see the lawn dying before our eyes. After the second season of using TruGreen, and several more complaint calls from us, TruGreen came out and admitted the lawn was dead and refunded some of the money from services that season as there was no denying that the lawn was dead. We went from having a beautiful and lush lawn with just a few weeds and a few small problem areas to an entirely dead lawn that needed a complete lawn restoration. As all of our neighbors witnessed this, the joke of our neighborhood became, Its not TruGreen, its TruBrown. Our landscapers tried last year to revive the lawn and repair the damage TruGreen did but without success and it never came back to the original lawn we had. The landscapers took a soil sample and did professional soil testing, (something TrueGreen never bothered to do) and informed us the soil was missing crucial elements due to the oversaturation of chemicals TruGreen was using. We now have no choice but to spend around $8000 for a complete lawn restoration. When I look at the pictures of our lawn prior to hiring TruGreen to make it greener and lusher and compare it to the dead lawn I have today that is full of weeds and moss and dirt, it is shocking. When calling to complain to TruGreen about the fact that they killed our lawn they laugh off the complaints and accuse me of having somehow killed my lawn on my own, and say since they refunded some of the money from services last year they did their due diligence as a company for their neglicence. However, the refunding of a few chemical treatments does not come close to the cost of the $8000 we will now be spending on a complete lawn restoration. TruGreen is truly TruBrown, if you are looking for a dead brown lawn, this is the company for you!

Great experience. Had my first spraying of fertilizer & weed control. I have a half acre & it was completed in less the a half hour. Bob from TruGreen was friendly & informative.

Their office doesnt open until 9am but apparently they have no issues sending out their staff at 6:50am to wake everyone up on our street. Cranston has a noise ordinance in case you, TruGreen, arent aware. Its bad enough that my ENTIRE house was woken up by one of your staff using a loud chemical blower in our next door neighbors yard at 6:50 AM, but your employee either didnt realize (or didnt care) that the chemicals being blown onto the neighbors grass WERE COMING IN THROUGH OUR OPEN BEDROOM WINDOWS! Both our master bedroom and our daughters bedrooms are on the 1st floor of our house and those windows were only a few feet away from where your employee was spraying. Have some respect for those who live around your clients. If it happens again we will be calling the Cranston Police about the noise ordinance violation. What your employee did this morning was totally unprofessional and uncalled for.

I am a new Tru-Green customer and signed up for their Tru Complete Lawn Plan. My new home lawn had plenty of weed and insect problems. I am confident that the treatments are working and my turf quality is responding.

While the lawn care technicians usually do a good job, you cannot reach anyone at the lawn care facility by phone to discuss problems. Every number connects you to their main customer service phone center. There is a serious disconnect from the local lawn care facility to the customer service center. Customer service does an incredibly poor job of relaying important information. A tech was out to my house on Monday and saw some troubling lawn issues. He promised that someone would be back out to treat the problems THIS WEEK and actually called to confirm this on Monday evening. Today is Friday and no one has gotten back in touch with me yet. I called TruGreen today and the customer service dept had no knowledge that there was a lawn problem until I directed them to read the techs notes found in THEIR own system. Only then did they realize the problems he had reported and their lack of response to it. Again, they promised to get back to me asap - as my lawn problem worsens each day. I work with the Warwick, RI lawn service facility but the problem is with TruGreens customer service center. Its extremely flawed. UPDATE: My lawn looked worse at the start of this season than it did at the start of last year so I have discontinued TruGreen and hired another service.

Terrible management. No honor

Signed up for mosquito and tick control. Applications worked, for a short period of time - about 50% of the time between their recommended application times. And they have no ability to schedule applications when they are actually needed. So when you are getting eaten alive by mosquitoes after 3 weeks, you can just stay inside for the next 3 weeks until they can manage to get back to your property.

I started with Tru Green last year leaving a company that did a great job with my lawn and I had no issues with. I left for a better price and the promise that they could rid my lawn of onion grass. One of their people told me that this was not true as onion grass is a bulb and will always grow back. Their products will not touch it. Initially the lawn looked pretty good but later into the season things went down hill with weeds, brown spots that turned to bare spots. The issue was diagnosed as grubs that were supposed to be treated for but apparently were not. Now my front lawn becomes a real mess with loads of missing grass. Hadnt seen any grub damage in over twenty years but they was back with a vengeance last year. Was told they would treat , aerate and over seed at the end of the season. Called the beginning of November to find out when this was going to happen and was told that it was too late in the season for that procedure. It would have to be done next year. Called at the beginning of March about aeration etc and was told that this was only done in the Fall. After many conversations they showed up and did what needed to be done. Finally got some of the lawn to fill in but much of it was just weeds. Called to get this taken care of. A specialist came and applied a product which did very little if anything. This has been repeated many times since April. It is now August and I still have many brown areas diagnosed as Dollar Spots not to mention Spurge all over the place and, as of this morning, Nutsedge that is 13 inches high since last weeks mowing growing all over the lawn. I have called to speak with management with no call transfer or even a return call. In four months they have not been able to get my lawn, that won neighborhood beautification awards in the past, to even look decent. Even my neighbors comment on it and wonder What happened? and I am not afraid to tell them. To say that I am dissatisfied would be an overstatement. In addition they send bills for services rendered while my lawn is being covered by their protection warranty. This has not been a good experience for me and I would have to think there are many others out there with similar issues. You have been warned!

PLEASE SHARE last year I contracted with Tru Green to fertilize my lawn. The sales person promised a specific plan customized for my lawn with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. They never did a soil test to determine what my lawn required. After two applications, my lawn never got green. Yellow spots started appearing all over my property. I asked the technician what was causing it. He did not know and never offered to try and find out. I canceled the service. That s when the phone calls started. Employees calling to get us to sign back up, people coming to the house to sell us other services. The phone calls never stop. After repeated attempts to get them to stop calling, they refuse. I was trying to be a nice guy and not go public with this, but now I have no choice. Tru Green needs to stop this harassment. Tru Green has a terrible product, untrained lawn technicians and absolutely no customer service. Please share this with your friends so you don t make the same mistake I did.

Have had trouble bringing my lawn back for a couple of years but once I went back to Trugreen it is starting to look GREAT again! They FINALLY got rid of a wicked grub infestation I had for at least 3 years that took half my front lawn. Grubs are in check so far and a special spraying I called for was taken care of immediately. That was no fault of Trugreen - they didn t know the full extent of my property. Have the usual peaty spring weeds that they are killing for the most part. So far I m very happy with how the lawn is coming after s positively brutal winter. Only problem I personally have is what to do with the ruined strip across my front lawn from State sanders and plows every winter. Every summer I try to bring that strip back and just as it s looking good along comes the snow and salt. Right now there s not a blade of grass on the first foot of lawn out front. Finances are stopping me from putting up a 2-3 foot wall along the front near the sidewalk. That s the only way to stop the sand and salt from destroying that area. Not any fault of Trugreen at all!!!

DONT TRUST THEM!! I spoke with two people about my lawn and they both told me they could fix the lawn. My gut told me the lawn was unfixable by just weed treatment. The lawn really should of just been resawed but Trugreen does not offer that service which is probably why they told me they could fix it, just to get my hard earned money. A year later and hundred of dollars spent my lawn looks exactly the same. When I called to complain they did not offer me any compensation of my money back. I even only asked for at least half my money back. They refused and only offered me discounted prices on services if I continued business with them. Why would I continue to do business with people who I feel robbed me!? When I demanded to speak to a manager no one called me back until I had to call again and demand again. Finally two weeks later a manager calls me and says he went to my house and that my lawn was unfixable and should be resawed! Still no compensation for all the money I spent with the company achieving zero result!

Upon signing up, I thought this would alleviate me from the past few years of doing it myself. Answered the door this year (2018) and thought, great! I do not have the time. Signed up for the basics (I can now maintain past the point) First off, my square footage seemed off in the initial paperwork ?200sf being treated with a 12,000 sf lot? Ok called, they said, coming back to retreat, guess what, they did and not to the square footage. (See result below) Said this was treated again. to my benefit of course! (really! Should have been done initially) Okay, I am busy (whole point of help) Took it, they did treatment for bug, fertilizer and crabgrass throughout Guess what! Crabgrass throughout my lawn, Techs, as of 8.16 called about this! Cannot get the local information or contact,instead it is to address it in 3-5 business days Call for the local company in RI, get transferred to their call center again Spoke with get the ID # 74589 (call center) Can t help you, manager request Manager, (so called) call center ID # 65899 I can help. Has know idea of the situation or area and finally admits to it, but cannot put me into contact with the Franchise owner or anyone affiliated for me to get my problem resolved! Asked for someone else, talked over me and when I asserted myself, that s right, hung up on me Never again!!!

They said $40 for the first visit and $70 for the next for mosquito treatment. Then they charged my credit card $300 and refused to give me a refund or even an invoice. Joseph at the office said theres no manager that will help get this fixed.

People please read this review before you consider doing business with TruGreen (Warwick). The level of incompetence with this company is staggering. They truly could care less about what your needs are and they couldn t right a wrong if their life depended on it. I had requested that they treat both my front and back lawn. Come to find out, they were only treating the front... for months. When I contacted them again, they blamed it on everything from miscommunication to the sun and stars not being aligned with Venus. It took 3 days for the branch manager to get back to me and he seemed like he was finally going to rectify the issue. Fast forward to my lawns next treatment for aeroation and seeding and guess what? They only did the front and ignored the backyard.... again. Do yourself a favor and Please don t waste your money with this company.

I AM VERY UPSET WITH TRU GREEN I TOOK THE PLAN THEY HAVE TO HAVE MY LAWN DONE BUT. I left Lawn Doctor after almost 20 years due to the fact the cost was getting too high and decided to try Tru-Green for the first time this year to save $100. What a mistake! My lawn is burned down to dirt in many areas after 23 years of growing a great lawn that I watered daily and had fertilized each year by Lawn Doctor. They treated the lawn with a liquid during 90 degree days and burned over 40 percent of my lawn. I called 5-6 times to speak with a supervisor in RI with no return calls except from an arrogant person that should NEVER work in customer service ! (I told him that!) Dont make my mistake as I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND TruGreen as they say you get what you pay for!
