TopGrass was launched in 2005 with the aim of offering top-quality lawn care using the knowledge, materials, and equipment of the professional groundsman and applying it to domestic lawns. TopGrass is an independent lawn treatment company set up by Tom Arnold and Ian Decourcy whose backgrounds combine experience in treating professional lawns and sports turf with business expertise from working in quality-driven blue-chip companies. After many years, we are now a well-established, family-run company. Tom's wife Shirley, daughter Katie and two sons Chris and Peter, all now have varying input into the business and bring with them their core family values to the everyday running of the company.

TopGrass are a gardening firm who carry out regular garden maintenance for me. I always receive an email in advance advising when they are planning to visit and are flexible if the timing isn't convenient for me. The gardeners are knowledgeable and happy to give gardening advice when asked.

Would like to give Mark a mention. I felt really looked after by Mark. We thought we had chafer grubs and requested treatment. Mark came over and instead of just treating the lawn he investigated and discovered we had no grubs. The actual problem was too much thatch which can cause breathing issues and dry patches. A lovely, nice collaborative service. Very happy with TopGrass over the last few years. Kimberly called today too and that was merely a catch up call to check I am happy with the service as well as taking some time to discuss my lawn and provided some free advice (from mowing length, regularity and direction to general maintenance). This was in no form a sales call and not really necessary. She took time out of her day to discuss what we are both passionate about..lawn!
Terrible service performed, advice on using Top Grass be 100% sure that the service they quote for is the service required, they tend to oversell packages for their financial gain. So I arranged for a technician to visit me to assess my lawn, the first guy came and suggested I needed the enhanced package as my lawn needed scarifying and aeration, fast forward two weeks and the second guy came along to perform the work, an hour later (15mins on the telephone) jobs done, little debris removed from the lawn due to him saying it's in quite a good condition, however still moss on the lawn, cost of this service £348 not including the other treatments.. of course not happy called H/O and spoke to a very helpful lady and arranged for a 3rd person to come, said 3rd person visited and confirmed that the job performed was completed properly and that he could do another pass of the scarifier, despite being told the lawn is okay. I should have been sold the aeration package, not the enhanced package.
TopGrass (UK) Ltd is a very professional company – always explaining in detail what they offer and how it is done, why it is good and what is best for your garden. The expert coming to do the treatment is friendly and approachable. The prices are very reasonable too. A pleasure to deal with.
I have used Top Grass for quite a few years. I have always been very pleased with the results. Their people are always very polite and professional.
I was recommended ‘Top Grass’ by a friend from work about two years ago. We were having lunch in chilly mid November afternoon when he goes, ‘I need to do my lawn tomorrow…! I was like ..are you serious ? Apparently he was…..he sent me few pictures next day. My lawn was dead and black ….usual for that time of year back then . I called Top Grass next working day and they sent a technician to sample the composition of soil etc and few other geeky things. They took over from there and my days of wasting money on seeds and weed killers were over. They did complete treatment and reseeding during next few weeks. Lawn looked very messy after aeration etc , but within two weeks I saw amazing transformation. Now my grass is healthy and I am cutting grass every two weeks in winter….yep that’s right…in winter. My friends also noticed the change and grass utilised less water than it used to. ..........Top score for , ‘Top Grass’ people for making my life easy….wife don’t complain anymore about lawn and I can spent more time restoring my 1965 Mustang………………everyone is a winner in this case !

Always turn up when they say they will, very approachable if I had questions. Always very careful to close the gate if Im not in when they come. An email follows each visit with their findings and recommendations. No hard sales tactics either which is a huge plus! They give you the information you need and leave you to decide without pestering you. Would recommend.

Recently they have not been as good as they were. Treatments cancelled then being too late to be effective. Seriously thinking of other options.
We had a few seasonal services from TopGrass initially as our grass was pretty bad, we have large trees nearby taking the moisture from the lawn, broadleaf weeds, and grassless patches. There was improvement, but we decided to go for a total reseed in the end, as it was so depressing looking at it! Well it was great! The techs came and assessed it, a date promptly given, a description of the work, and a competitive price..with an added discount. Obviously with the scarification and the aeration, the lawn looked messy for a while but what an improvement! The techs came back for a germination check to make sure it had taken ok, and filled a few patches. We didn t think it could look so good .we are keeping it well watered in the drier weather but we are so pleased with it! The techs that have attended us so far, Jack, Rhys and Michael have been great - really friendly and knowledgeable chaps. We have subsequently gone for a monthly plan, again with % discounts so our lawn is well looked after We get notified well in advance of attendance, who is coming, and what treatment/process they are going to carry out. After the visit, I receive a video and/or an email with the treatment they have carried out, what they have found, and advice if needed. The website is very good full of information, and you can see your account clearly and add any extra treatments you want. There is a contact page, and the response is quick. We had tried many home treatments in the past, to no significant avail, and every year it looked worse and worse so we are glad to have found TopGrass, who use quality products, and are knowledgeable about their work!

Grass was full of clover and weeds and very patchy which has been treated disappointed As still have patches of clover and weeds around the edges which to be fair the last treatment straight after we had a down poor. Which probably washed treatment away Grass is very green now probably need another treatment once the weather breaks

Signed up for TopGrass this year via a referal from my neighbour. I previously had a patch of dark green which was more weeds, daisies and clover than grass. I signed up for the Total Package which basically involved taking the lawn back to soil followed by a total reseed. My lawn now looks stunning and the best it has been in the 20 years we have lived here. I have twice previously paid for a law- relay - should have gone the maintenance rout first! Highly recommended

Prompt reliable service and friendly staff. Myself and numerous members of my family use Top Grass and we have all seen a big improvement in our lawns. I do have problems with a fairy ring on my lawn but unfortunately they do not treat this problem. I do keep it at bay and my lawn does look good. Positive

Delighted with this year s treatment. Our cheery technician was careful and efficient. He gave us lots of advice and it was easy to change an appointment when we had a problem with our mower. We received a number of compliments about our lawn from our visitors and one was so impressed he kept turning round to admire it!
Excellent value, really pleasant staff
I recently had the lawn maintenance course and I m so impressed with the result. My grass was about 70% weeds and within 3 weeks they have all gone and there s nice healthy grass left behind. The value for money is wonderful! I honestly thought I was going to have to reseed my lawn until I started using them. Lovely family run business as well which feels nicer than giving your money to the big garden centres.
