The aeration, overseed and topdress is a fantastic service. 2024 was the third year in a row that I had this service done as the soil quality of my lawn was very poor initially. Been using this company for 3 years and my lawn has never looked so good. The fact that I dont need to worry when my animals or children are playing in our yard and know it is safe is so reassuring. I am very happy with the results. Every day I am amazed at how nice the lawn looks. New grass shoots appeared about a week or so after application. Blades of Glory This past winter I put an ice rink in our back yard. To level the yard I added 5 yards of loom to low spots and dug out some high spots. This did some extensive damage to our lawn that velvet green had previously worked so hard making look great the year before. But to no surprise, this spring Velvet Green transformed the muddy mess back into a beautiful thick green lawn. No one would ever know there was an ice rink there just a month ago ..The Velvet Green Crew does a wonderful job and you can tell they really take pride in their work. Bear in mind, though, that since lawn treatments here are all organic, depending on what you are up against it may take a season or two to really see positive impact. I have a tricky, old lawn that has deteriorated inexplicably over the last few years. I am a bit of a lawn junky and am a bit lucky that I can do my own lawn and landscaping using 8 summers of knowledge working in a greenhouse and nursery in my youth! I tried many approaches to renew my old lawn and bare spots but could not get my lawn to turn the corner. After receiving great service from a mulch delivery, Velvet Green sent me a customized email about their other services and I was intrigued by the aeration, over seeding, and top dressing service, an approach I prefer and have had some luck with, but not enough. So I decided to give Jeff and his team a shot. I had moderate expectations (I can be hard to please on yard services). I dont know how else to put it - the results were outstanding! My lawn took off last fall and is primed this spring to surpass my expectations again. I even asked Jeff at the time to leave a large, beautiful section of my lawn untouched that was sodded about two years ago as a control and now Im bummed I did not have him do the whole thing. Professional, knowledgable (I am now on their lawn care program too), and up to date with technology and equipment, I cant say enough about them. Highly recommended.

In a relatively short period of time the team at Velvet Green has helped transform it into to a lush, full and resilient lawn. The over seeding with organic topcoat service seemed to make a significant impact. We really appreciate that all of there services are organic and dont use any harsh chemicals, especially with pets and small children.

I had a new lawn installed last year using hydroseed and although it was nice and green in the spring by August it was clearly stressed despite regular watering and feeding. I wanted to take advantage of the fall season to get some professional help and Velvet Green came up in my online searches. It was great to see that they use organic products, something Ive been wanted to do for a number of years for my dog, kids, and the environment. Dan responded to my inquiry promptly and was able to turn around an estimate quickly. Best of all, they were able to come out the following week to do the work. I went with their aeration, overseed, and top dressing package to help loosen up the soil, fill in the patchy/thin spots, and naturally feed the soil. The results have been remarkable; after two weeks the lawn looks much better (and greener) and the seed is starting to fill in. Jeff the owner came out prior to the work being done to see the property and answer my questions. They provide full instructions on how to care for your lawn and are responsive to any and all questions. Besides great customer service, the difference to me vs. other landscapers is their knowledge of lawn care.
