I cant believe how lucky I am to have found a landscaper that does artwork on the ground with living plants, trees and beautiful flowers. Ive seen the designs hes done at the Melrose Post Office and Stoneham Post office and it blew me away with the selection and layout of the plants used in the design. I called Done Right landscape to come out to my home in Stoneham and Bruce came out the same day I called. I instantly felt that he knew exactly what I was looking for by all the great ideas he gave me. He took measurements of my back and sideyard and then gave me the price. He was at my home within one week after I approved the job and his team completed the entire project within 3 days. They took my weed infested yard that was all uneven and they leveled it perfectly and installed a new lawn with an irrigation system. They also pressure washed my stone steps and brick patio which now look brand new. Bruce also helped me by removing an old pool filter, heater and pump that Ive been trying to get someone to take away and no one else would. Bruce really loves what he does and he puts everything hes got into his work and it shows. I love my new yard and Im a customer for life! Everytime I look out at my yard I cant stop smiling. :D

I cannot say enough positive things about Bruce and the team at Done Right. I had a bit of a concrete jungle situation, was overwhelmed, and needed help. Bruce came by and walked the space with me, talking about what we could focus on now and what we can think about for the future. In the front, the team completely cleared three beds, pulled two tree stumps, and relocated my hydrangea to a better spot to thrive. In the back, they took out a ton of dead limbs on three pine trees that were starving the patio for light. And in between, there wasnt a rogue weed or leaf to be found. I called Done Right on a Sunday left a message and he called me back on the same day. I decided I was too busy to get the Lawn done before my Daughters Graduation party, so this is my first time hiring a Landscaper in 25 years and I couldnt be happier. First he reshaped and edged out my front beds which he measured a d made each one symmetrical. Then he designed it and planted beautiful mature size lime light hydrangeas which he planted in composted screened super loom. And he also added some pink, purple and white Astilbe plants around my nightlighting. Everything came out Awesome. Now I can get some of these other projects around the house Done before the Party. My son was five years old when I had my property designed by the owner, Bruce Aleo. With that said, my son is now 18 years old, and the landscape design Done Right Landscape installed and created is still vivid and intact. I can still remember the impressive fleet of immaculate work trucks pulling up to my property. Then National Grid came into my life this past month replacing pipes on my street and my property which unfortunately disrupted and damaged my long standing, intact beautiful landscape design. Even after so many years had passed my first thought was to contact Bruce and see if he could come out and assess the damage and provide me with an estimate to correct the damage done by the digging. I knew the company did not really frequent Boston, and mostly worked in the north and south shore areas, but I was hopeful Bruce would remember me and endure the horrendous I95 Boston traffic. Bruce was kind enough to come by and assess the damage, take pictures, and clearly explain to me what materials needed to be replaced. He also gave me great pointers on how to keep my property looking vibrant and care for my bushes. I received a professional, itemized estimate within two days. Transformative may not be a big enough word for what Bruce and his crew at Done Right Landscaping did with our backyard. We 1st reached out to Bruce in the Spring of 2021 after seeing some of his work and reviews online. We have a fenced-in yard that is primarily an outdoor space for our young son and dog, but it had some draining issues, poor soil from a previous owner s pool above ground pool, and a mix of grass types. It was clear from the 1st visit with Bruce that he was passionate about his work and had a keen eye for the full design of the yard. He came back multiple times to answer our questions and work through quote options that fit our budget. He was able to expand on our vision and bring in some great details that we would have never considered on our own. We originally planned for and late Spring installation, but supply chain issues pushed us into the Fall. This ended up being better for the new lawn and plants. The Done Right crew worked for the better part of a full week; first removing the old lawn, prepping the beds, meticulously placing pavers, and bringing in truck loads of loam and mulch to properly grade the lawn for drainage. Bruce also helped with planning the water tower setup for the lawn and watering plan for the plant beds. The new lawn and plants were established before Winter and have all come back this Spring with little effort. He also included some solar lights throughout the beds for free and adjusted the gates on our fence which had been installed incorrectly by another vendor. I don t think we anticipated having a backyard as amazing as this. We are truly happy with our new space heading into 2022 summer season. Bruce s attention to detail, passion, and professionalism can only be described as Done Right!

Quick turnaround and complete makeover to my front landscaping including Clean-up, excavation and grading, bringing in composted screened super loam and installing new sod, irrigation system and all done within a timely manner. This company has the perfect name...DONE RIGHT. After being left a mess by a previous unprofessional, unresponsive landscaper, I had quite a desperate situation on my hands. I called Bruce and after hearing my story, he and his crew arrived the very next morning! They seeded all the forgotten spots, pruned 2 trees correctly, dug up a stump, edged lawn professionally, dug up old cement, mowed, and installed new flagpole. In a day and a half my yard was completely repaired and looked gorgeous! They CARED. Do not bother trying any other company...get the one who makes sure things are DONE RIGHT!!!

We needed a fall leaf cleanup and their attention to detail was beyond anything I had expected, it was perfection. They went above and beyond removing leaves and debri from every nook and cranny, out from under every tree and bush on our property with efficiency, friendliness and skill that we had never experienced before. They even cleaned our deck and basement window wells without being asked. We were blown away and will be using them in the future for all our landscaping needs. We recently used Done Right landscaping to remove some over grown bushes in front of our home. Once they removed the bushes they put down a beautiful layer of stones along with some bright, beautiful plants. I cant say enough about how wonderful it came out. We had a tree fall down into our yard during a wind storm and needed it removed. We called a few tree companies and were told it would be over a month at a minimum, if we even got a call back at all. We worked with Bruce in the past, and decided to give him a call to see if he could help us out. Every time weve worked with this company theyve delivered! Last spring my husband and I wanted to take out the front lawn and replace it with a place we could run around with our dog. In addition we needed some clean up of the rest of the property. They came and spoke to us about what we wanted. The very next day, our whole front yard was dug up and made ready. They finished the project in record time! The whole thing is beautiful and we can now play catch with the dog any time we want!

My landscaping had simply gone wild! Weeds had taken over and choked out many perennials. The soil was depleted of nutrients. I had removed a vegetable garden and needed to tie that space into the existing perennial beds. I had a vision and kept trying to do everything myself. It took a while to realize that I needed help. As first time homeowners, we soon realized the landscaping conditions we were left with were too much for us to handle and decided it was time to hire someone to come in and do the job. We called Done Right for a quote and the owner, Bruce, came down that same day to provide us with an estimate. He was very thorough walking us through our property and it was evident from the start that he is extremely knowledgeable in what he does. We were confident that his expertise far exceeded others in the industry and hired Done Right to do cleanup and design on the landscaping in the front of our home. I cant begin to express how excellent our experience with Bruce and the Done Right team has been. We hired them to replace our chain link fence, build a wall and plant some trees in our backyard as the first step to creating our backyard oasis. Bruce came for an initial consultation and to walk through what our vision was. He was able to expand upon what we were looking for offering suggestions and options to improve upon it. Even showing us samples or previous jobs hes completed. He truly has an immense wealth of knowledge and a great vision. Having an old house came with some challenges as you never truly know what decades can leave buried in your yard. Each time he encountered an issue he made sure I understood what came up, and was informed about any deviations from the plan, which thankfully ended up being minor. When they finished each day, and again at the end. Done Right made sure that the yard was clean of excess debris, and that any gaps were blocked off to allow for our two dogs to continue to use the space. Done Right will be the only landscapers well use as we continue to improve our yard.

Bruce has always responded promptly. Today I had a large branch blown down in a windstorm. He came and cleared the branch from the two cars it had fallen on and cleaned the entire area. Great job as usual.

I highly recommend Bruce and team at Done Right Landscape. I wanted a chain link fence removed from my property replaced with a 6 foot vinyl privacy fence as well as some additional fencing and a gate to fully close off my yard. I got 3 estimates from local companies and decided to go with Bruce and I m very happy with my decision. From the moment he showed up at my house for the estimate you can tell that he is very passionate and knowledgeable about what he does. He brings his tablet so he can give you a estimate on the spot and he took the time to go over different options and show me pictures/examples of things he s done for other customers. I decided to go with his company and his time estimate was 3-4 weeks due to COVID material supply backlogs (which was actually at least 2-4 weeks sooner than the other estimates I got). His timing was accurate and he started my fence within 4 weeks. Him and his crew got this project done in under 2 days, staying until 6-7 pm to make sure I d have my fenced in yard by the weekend. The fence came out beautiful (see pics) and I ve already gotten compliments from anyone who comes by. Bruce takes great pride in his quality of work and goes the extra mile for his customers. One example: he put down loam under my new fence to fill some gaps. He told me make sure you seed and fertilize that so the grass can grow. I started to ask questions about what to buy (because I am new to this) and he said actually don t worry about it, I ll come back tomorrow (a Saturday) and will seed and fertilize it for you. Sure thing, I look out my window the next morning to see not only had he put down seed and fertilizer, he was out there watering it with the hose. That is the type of extra service that is never expected but always appreciated. I found Bruce to be professional, responsive, and a perfectionist every step of the way...all important qualities in someone doing work on your home. I definitely recommend Done Right Landscape and will use them again in the future.

Working with Bruce has been nothing short of a pleasure. We all have (and should know) our strengths, weaknesses and limitations when it comes to providing services. When we worked with Done Right Landscape and Construction, we did not yet offer driveways, 3D design sketches, or do excavation. I grew up in the town Done Right started out in. I ve known his work since I was a younger person. Seeing it all around town and always amazed at his work. I knew this house needed an exterior jump start if we were going to sell. I called Done Right Landscaping and spoke with the owner, Mr. Bruce Aleo. He also gave me GREAT home owner tips on how to spruce up other areas in my home to make sure it shinned, for example, I had rusty wrought iron railings on my front steps, he told me to get a metal wire brush, some sand paper and a can of high glossy spray paint and give those railings a new face lift. It made my stairs look amazing!! Something I never even thought of. Now, one week later Bruce and his team showed up to my house a few mins ahead of scheduled (always amazing to have a contractor come to your house early, than late!). He arrived with multiple trucks and tons of equipment. He walked the property with his team, marked off all the new areas of design and walked me through the process that was about to happen. He and his team spent over 5 hours at my house. I ve had other landscapers come and they were done in a couple of hours. I ve NEVER seen a team work so in sync. 3 gentlemen hard raked my yard, another gentlemen worked in my kid s playground area cleaning that out, another gentleman trimmed and pruned my bushes. After about two hours of just that cleaning they then moved on to all the new edging and design. I can t even begin to explain how SHARP AND STRAIGHT their lines are they make. I was absolutely STUNNED on how sharp these edge lines are. His teams work is so precise. They truly take the time and do it right. After edging in the new designs for the front and backyard, his team cleaned the whole yard again with rakes and backpack blowers. Now, his team laid out around 6.5 yards of new mulch. Bruce recommended the black mulch to play off my white house and the green grass. We usually use red. We have been wrong this whole time. The black is so clean looking. His team then moved on to thatching my property. After thatching the front and backyard they then aerated it. After all that work, they then cleaned up the yard, again. They always made sure the yard was clean. Now, they laid out a starter fertilizer and dropped new seed (we have a dog who ruined the yard). After all that, what did they all do next, CLEAN. I was so amazed and stunned on how clean they always kept my property while working. The pictures I ve attached literally don t do it justice. I contacted Done Right Landscape & Construction after finding them on Angies List. We were given a call back by Bruce, the owner of the company, with in the hour. He arrived at our home soon there after.. He is friendly, informative, knowledgable, in his assessment and follow through... He also put us at ease. Our yard was a real mess! We had a complete clean-up of the backyard, front of the house , and driveway area. Some of the work included: de-weeding, lawn cutting and string trimming. Trimming and pruning hedges and pruning back lower dead tree limbs. Weed killer was sprayed in the driveway cracks and along the foundation. He even planted a Rosebush out in the front area of our home.. Which was a nice touch. When we returned; we were amazed at how fantastic our yard looked, and in such a short time! They don t make them like this anymore! Over the past 8 years I ve tried many times to get a landscape company to help me with a large backyard reconstruction. I wasted money and time before I finally called Bruce from Done Right Landscaping. He was the first person that didn t sigh or shake his head at me. After a half an hour he came up with a plan to fix my yard on the budget of a school teacher. They came exactly when they said they would and worked like a small army. Within a short time the dugout my entire yard which is big enough to hold a 20x40 inground pool. They replaced it fresh loom and put down sod. They built a brand new retaining wall around the entire property put in drainage with beautiful crushed stone and installed a fence. I don t know how they do it, but every leaf was gone and the yards looked amazing. They even go the extra step (behind/ around hard-to-reach areas, moving patio furniture, raking beds). My landscaping cleanup was a HUGE project. All the work was completed, as expected, and there were no hidden costs or surprises! Bruce was great to work with, and he was very patient explaining exactly what he would do to clean my property up. They went above and beyond with cutting down trees, stump grinding, removing any additional branches off of other trees that were dead and obstructing the view, and cleaning up the entire property from debris. I called Done Right in 2012 after buying a foreclosed home. My house need a lot of work, especially my front steps. words cant describe what my old steps looked like and what they look like now! two days prior to an early November snowstorm I was panicking because I had two properties filled with leaves. I recently used the services of Bruce and the Done Right Landscaping crew and had a wonderful experience. I have a modest size property with a lot of trees that have dropped tons of leaves over the years. Even though I enjoy raking up leaves, I have not had the time, so I called around and got a few quotes. Bruce came over the same day (in the evening) and gave me a great price that beat a competitors estimate by $100, and he offered to blow out my gutters and chop up a dead tree that had fallen on my lawn. Done Right Landscaping Review In July of this year, Forestdale Community Church replaced one Arborvitae tree with help from Bruce Aleo, and his team from Done Right Landscaping Company. Bruce and his crew of three young men showed up on time the start day of the project and removed the dead Arborvitae tree replacing it with a living one just about the same size. Done Right has been cutting my parents lawn for several months and we are pleased with their fast and efficient team. we had an unconventional start to needing a landscaper. We almost lost my father, he was in the hospital for over a month and the lawn had not had a proper cut in several weeks with all that was going on. As he always does Bruce went over various options on what work that could be performed so that we had options to choose from. In the end we decided to replace our old cracking and downright dangerous front walkway with a custom paver walkway along with various landscaping tasks. For landscaping we had them power edge beds around our hedges and trees, trimming our hedges, de-thatching the lawn, mow and rake the lawn, and spreading many cubic yards of mulch. Bruce and his guys spent the next two days working nearly non-stop on our job. They were here exactly when they said they would be, kept us informed on their progress as the days went by, and worked until the sun was going down. TV shows make laying paver walkways look easy, but it takes a real professional to go the extra mile and perform the labor needed to do an actual professional job. We watched as the guys dug out a foot down and then laid, leveled, screed, and power tamped about 8 layers of stone dust and then sand before they even started laying the pavers. After laying all of the stones they even cemented the edge stones in place to ensure they would never come loose in the future and filled the joints with polymeric sand to form a weed proof barrier between the stones. The end result of their work is just amazing. It took the front of our home and transformed the entry from an eyesore to something that makes you feel like youre home. We had so many great comments from strangers walking down the street and people who attended our open house that we know we made the right choice. The best part is the soon-to-be new owners of our home get a transferable warranty for the work just in case they ever have a problem. While were excited to be moving were also sad we have to find a new company to work with as we wont be on the north shore any longer. Well miss these guys!

I can not over emphasize what a positive experience having Done Right Landscaping complete our project was. From the outset we found Bruce to be responsive and accommodating to our schedule, the first couple of consultations on the project were excellent, we had a reasonable, but fixed budget and Bruce helped us to prioritize what we wanted to come in on budget. Many of the extra things we had asked for were discussed as a cost sink without really adding to the landscaping and it was clear that the goal for Bruce was to get us what we wanted on budget, rather than just trying to make more money out of us. The plan was excellent and gave us options to add to the design in future, including extra areas of fence, more beds and a potential to add lighting. We agreed the outline and paid 50% upfront and discussed a start date and likely, duration, I would say the only negative in the whole project is that the start date was a little delayed due to how busy they are, but when we let them know we had family from overseas in town for the July 4th celebrations, they rapidly scheduled the work to get it completed in time, this was massively appreciated. The project itself was more complicated than originally thought as when the grading was being done, they uncovered lots of massive rocks that the builders had dumped in the yard (the house is a new build). There was a bit of a cost over-run associated with this, but all along Bruce worked with us to find a way to keep the cost down, including recycling some of the boulders elsewhere on the project. The work was absolutely first rate, I can not begin to describe the care taken when installing our new patio in particular. The team took extra effort to prepare the ground to make sure that nothing would move, and used the absolute best in materials. The work was done very quickly (although a bit longer than expected because of the extra grading work), and we were impressed with all of the small touches including contoured lines on the patio, a beautiful retaining wall for our kids play area and an excellent choice of fence. The whole team worked very hard, were polite and friendly and did an amazing job, the landscaping looks wonderful and we are extremely pleased with the results. It is clear that Done Right Landscaping are hugely experienced and are driven to make sure they do a premium job, and are not just looking to make a quick buck. We will definitely be using them again to add extra features, if you decide to use them my advice would be to listen to their recommendations and go with it, using their experience will help you get the high end landscaping that you are looking for.

Can t go wrong with Done Right Landscaping. They did some clean up work for me in the spring and they were awesome to work with and did extremely thorough work. So I had no hesitation in having them back to do some major landscaping work on my walk way which was broken up flagstone and unsafe for walking. They expanded the width of the entrance and installed lovely pavers that curve around to the side of the house. They also removed my rotted out wooden fence and installed a very sturdy vinyl fence. Since we live on a hill they encountered a lot of ledge to get through while drilling for fence post installation, which increased their work load by at least 4 hours. Even with the additional time and work, there was no mention of extra charge. My lawn gets no sun and I needed a low maintenance alternative to grass, so he spruced up the entire yard by digging down and laying out thick mulch. He surrounded my dogwood tree with lovely white beach stones and even mulched the tree on the sidewalk in front of the house, both touches he added on his own. My place looks great. I can t praise them enough for the excellence of their work as well as their work ethic. Bruce expects the work done above standards, and goes the extra mile to do just that. I am so pleased with the outcome of the work they did, and with the experience of doing business with Done Right. I plan to keep their business card handy and have them back for any future work.

My wife & I finally decided to do some long overdue outdoor maintenance on our home. We removed ledge, installed stone retaining walls and expanded our driveway. We also renovated our old deck and wanted to put a patio in our yard. We looked into several companies that install patios and finally decided on Done Right Landscaping to design & install our paver patio. A big reason for this was the great customer care Bruce Aleo provided to us. Bruce came out to our home and listened to what we wanted. He showed us pictures of similar jobs they had done to give us a better visual of what we could expect, made several suggestions and offered his recommendations. Bruce fully explained the process: materials to be used, proper preparation of the site, paver installation and final finishing. After deciding on colors, patterns and shape, Bruce presented us the estimate. Admittedly, it was a bit toward the higher side of what I had researched, but, after seeing Done Rights results, the reviews of others and understanding the work to be done, we went for it. Let me tell you, we were not disappointed. Within days of giving the go ahead for the job, Bruce and his crew were here preparing the site. The next day they came to install and finish the patio. Everything was done just as Bruce had described and our new patio is simply beautiful. We have a few jobs left to complete our outdoor renovations. One thing is for sure, Bruce and his Done Right crew are going to be a BIG part of bringing our landscape renovation project to completion!

This company did a wonderful job meeting landscaping needs for my property. Work included yard clean-up, edging, bark mulch, trimming shrubs and wiring up a large spruce damaged by heavy winds. I contacted Bruce on a Friday to discuss having a fall cleanup done in my property. I was able to get ahold of Bruce right away and he came by my house that same day to provide an estimate. Having never engaged a professional landscaper before I felt the price was fair and to my surprise Bruce said that he could be there the next morning.
