I can honestly say I have the best looking yard in the neighborhood! Beautiful green & lush lawn with zero weeds!!! Great company, with wonderful communication!

The first company I called said it would take 3 years to fix the lawn we just bought the second company just didnt show up. OMG The weed man guy OSCAR showed up in one application he fixed 5 years of no cutting or attention at all. It really was incredible to see the difference in less then 2 weeks. Oscar knows his grass. Weve used the weed man for a while now, and our lawn really does look more full, more green, and literally has NO weeds growing in the grass. We didnt get a single dandelion ANYWHERE in our yard! They are prompt, professional, and effortless. I would definitely recommend weed man if you want your front and back yard free from weeds. They really do a great job!

I requested a quote in 2022 and let them know I wasnt interested. I finally had to block their number because I was receiving multiple calls a week. Today, Mike Weed Man called from a different number. When I said I wasnt interested in lawncare for my yard, I was told might recommend getting a townhome and hung up.... not very professional.

Ive used Weed Man since I moved into my house, and I follow all the practices Scott tells me to do which is keep the lawn at or above 3 1/2 inches other than the last cut of the season and WOW. The differences between when I moved in and now are above and beyond. I went from having ground cover, Creeping Charlie, and Violet all through the lawn to an actually good lush green lawn. I cant wait to see what happens during this season.

I have a No Soliciting sign up on my door very prominently displayed. Men from Weed Man still rang my doorbell to sell me their services. Very disrespectful and also illegal.

I applied but no word back at all after 2 months. Very unprofessional and bald. Dont trust the 5star reviews, they all family and friends of these wastes of time

I hired Weed Man for a Spring/Summer/Fall service for weed controls and lawn fertilizer. I have an area about 20 feet by 8 feet that is all perennial plants. On the first visit from Weed Man the technician sprayed all my plants, killing them all. I called and have left three messages cancelling the service and I requested a call back and a refund. I have never received a call back, I did receive a refund but they charged me for the visit that they came and killed all my plants. I will be contacting the BBB and McHenry County to log complaints as well with them. I believe I am due all my money back, or for them to replace the approximately 20 perennial full size plants that they killed.

Weedman has done a fantastic job on our lawn. Prior to them servicing us, our yard was being overrun with creeping charlie, after a single season they have greatly reduced the issue, and are very responsive when calling and asking for them to come out and spot treat the weeds. I highly reccomend them for your lawn treatment needs!

Great simple service with no upselling. I had an issue with one aspect of the service, and the owner himself contacted me and made it right as quickly as possible. Very few owners do this, and everyone understands issues can arise. My lawn is a nice dark green after their service here in October, better than ever before. This company made it easy to purchase a clear service online, whereas others do phone inquiries only and then hound you with upselling speeches and repeated calls. I put in for an estimate with TruGreen and they hounded me with calls and text messages at all hours of the day. Weed Man simply did the service as advertised on the website. I recommend this company to anyone that wants quick results and an owner who actually cares about each and every service.

We switched from another well known lawn service to Weed Man several years ago & our yard has never looked better. I private board dogs at our house and even with 3 to 5 dogs a day using our yard for business & play, it looks great and people always ask how we keep it looking so nice with all the dogs here. The grass is very healthy thanks to Weed Man and with a little maintenance on our part by watering and keeping it clean, you would never know there were any dogs here at all. The pricing is very reasonable, they always show up as scheduled & the technicians are thorough and friendly. They are mindful of the dogs that stay here and make sure I know when theyre coming so I can schedule to keep the dogs safe and off the grass for the necessary amount of time. They also make sure that all of my fence gates are securely closed when they finish up. I am an avid gardener and have a considerable amount of plantings & garden beds and I never have any issues with over-spray damaging anything. We are extremely satisfied with Weed Man and highly recommend this company!

They came to my house over a y ear ago and since then they have been non-stop hounding and harassing me with phone calls even after I have asked them numerous times to take me off the call list and that I was not interested in the service anymore. they act sincere in understanding that I no longer am interested but for some reason, somehow have my number just to pester me again for the following year. They literally are like weeds, you think you took care of the situation just to have them unexpectedly pop up the next year. Literal harassment.

Im very impressed with this company. The Volo staff is very friendly and professional. I was sold when I talked to Chuck over the phone. They are willing to take time to explain things, and they get back to you. The other company, TruGreen, solicited me way too much.

Great locally owned franchise that has an amazing program that actually works since they use a very slow release granular fertilizer unlike Trugreen and the other corporate competitors that Im sure like me everyone has had that use cheap products like liquid fertilizer. My lawn went to trash with the liquid fertilizer which Weed Man was able to explain why. Never will I go through a different organization again my lawn looks mint now, its super soft to walk on my neighbors have even compared it to a plush carpet. Thank you Weed Man for calling me and being persistent even though I wasnt answering due to being busy!

I have been using this organization since 2018 and OMG my lawn is so green through the whole year! I just follow their directions saying to mow at 3 1/2 to 4 inches which I elected to do the 4 inches and like they said during drought stress, and insects ( had chinch bugs this last year) the lawn does fantastic. The lawn just keeps getting thicker and thicker which is because they use a slow release granular fertilizer. Now they do a preventative for all damaging lawn insects so I wont have to worry about getting damage thats how on top of things theyre! I will continue to be a lifelong customer absolutely LOVE all the compliments I get on a basically daily basis!

My lawn was completely taken over by creeping Charlie. I had tried everything, short of burning my lawn and starting over. Weed Man was able to transform my lawn in one season. I appreciate the care they take to protect bees and how knowledgeable they are.

After 3 years with them my lawn looks way worst then when we started with them. The receptionist is really nice. We called and complained multiple times and was told they fired the tech doing my lawn because he had alot of the same complaints from other houses. We gave them more chances and the weeds that were missed at the beginning of summer are still here along with more dirt patches. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THEM.

Weed Man does an excellent job keeping the weeds at bay in my yard even with my neighbor not treating his weeds at all. If I do see any breakthrough weeds they are super responsive and will come out in a timely manner to spot treat those weeds. They also do a great job of communicating when they are coming and what services they will be performing. This is now our 3rd year with them and our lawn has never been this weed free! Highly recommend their service.

They were supposed to treat my lawn 3 times, only treated it once. I had more weeds after the treatment than before. Then they called asking for another chance, I refused. They have continued to call and harrass me for the past year after I told them no numerous times. They continue to harass me from multiple different phone numbers because I keep blocking them. I have even requested to be removed from the call list, yet they continue to harrass!!!! RIDICULOUSLY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!

Our lawn is looking good this summer. A creeping weed has been much diminished since treatments began. I also appreciate that this company follows instructions; before beginning my contract with them, I specifically asked that they not get lawn care product on my sidewalk or driveway, and they comply.

Im very happy with the service that I receive from Weed Man. I had a senior dog up until last year and never sprayed my yard for weeds so you can imagine the dandelion patch that it had become. One of my neighbors uses them so I decided to give them a try. No more dandelions. If you feel like youre getting weeds in between treatments they will come out again. The grass looks much fuller and greener now. The wife is very happy with it also. Scott is great. Very personable. He explains everything that comes with the package. Ive never paid for a weed/fertilizer package so not sure about the good value but me not having to go buy the products and spreading them myself is why I chose that. I would recommend them.

I signed up for their summer yard care (weeding and fertilization). After a couple months I noticed the lawn was under nourished. Weed control was good. I talked to the guy that did the applications, confirming that the service included fertilization. He assured me Id be happy. I wasnt. So, I called and canceled the service and asked for a prorated refund (I paid for a full season in advance). They canceled, but never refunded my money. My follow-up calls are not answered and messages are not returned. I dont recommend Weed Man!

A great experience and a customer service driven one at that. If you want to deal with an actual human, and speak to them directly face to face Weedman is the company to go with. Chuck was my salesman/lawn care expert. Oscar has been treating my lawn recently. I don t often see them however the few times I have I can tell you it s the simple things like closing and making sure the gate to my yard is secured. This is a huge concern since I have two dogs. In addition I spoke with Ed at the company as well. He was extremely polite and addressed a concern I had with my lawn. He told me he will have a lawn tech out within a few days to speak with me and to take a look and identify/analyze any issue that may be taking place. Also I should mention this service, is included in your overall cost, not an additional fee. Bottom line, go with the Weedman you won t be disappointed at the level of service you receive.
