Sweeney's has done my lawn cutting, shrub trimming and seasonal cleanups for the last 12 plus years. I initially chose them because of their flexibility in scheduling and easy billing system. Also, like that they give special assistance to veterans. I have stayed with them over the years because of the quality of the work, as well as communication provided. I would recommend them to you.
We have used Sweeney Landscaping for many years. They are a local family-owned company which we appreciate! Their crews are consistent, reliable and do a wonderful job! We also use them for our snow removal. Overall they are reasonably priced and provide excellent customer service!

A few years ago the landscaping company that we had used for many years closed. This left us with the task of finding a new company with which to build a new relationship. After trying out different companies, we found Sweeney’s Custom Landscaping and are very pleased. They take a personal approach with their clients and listen closely to what their clients want. Their crews do excellent work and are responsive to questions and requests in real time. They won’t leave a worksite until the client is totally satisfied. I highly recommend them for your landscaping needs.
Sweeney's has been taking care of our yards for a couple of years now, and it has been wonderful! Our team, led by Gaspar, has our front and back looking beautiful each week. They are really good with communication when days need to change for weather. Sweeney's is also reasonably priced for what we wanted (quarterly treatments, spring and fall cleanups, mowing, etc.) and we were able to lock in our price for a two-year contract!
Their pricing is reasonable. Their work is outstanding! Our lawn and landscape always looks professional. Many of our clients have asked who we use, and we always give them Sweeney's contact info.
Sweeney’s does it right! 21st century technology done right! We are blown away with the up-to-date info that is sent to us re: our weekly service, invoicing & payment and monthly newsletters! There has never been a question as to when they are coming and who our team will be! Outstanding communication! Also, your employees are friendly and reliable! UPDATE 6/21/24-Pruning and trimming job Sweeney's completed another AMAZING job pruning our front and back yards! The crew worked very hard, efficiently and quickly! I gave them bottles of water and they were very courteous and friendly. You've got an outstanding crew who knows their stuff and works very diligently on one of the hottest/most humid days of the summer. For that, we are grateful! Thanks so much! UPDATE: 4/8/24- We just had Sweeney's Custom Landscaping complete our spring clean up and as usual, they did an amazing job! We are always beyond pleased with Sweeney's when they do any landscaping work and/or maintenance for us. They will be providing us weekly maintenance and fertilization, along with pruning and mulch application coming up soon. We've used Sweeney's Custom Landscaping for years and absolutely love them! Most recently, we are very happy with the work the crew did on our fall clean up and weekly lawn maintenance. They did a beautiful job, and made our lives much easier! As my husband says, we always know what we can expect from Sweeney's so why even look elsewhere?! Thanks for treating us like family!

I use their weekly service, and have had them complete larger projects as well.. Always professional, on-time, responsive, good quality, etc.. I really like that they send email reminders for weekly service, I can choose to skip if its too wet or dry, etc..at no cost. Really easy to get a hold of the office..
Sweeneys has been taking care of my lawn and landscape for many years. I use them for lawn maintenance, fertilizations, aerations, clean ups, mulch, plantings and snow removal. They are professional, skilled, and easy to communicate with. The crews work incredibly hard and always go above and beyond!

Isaac and Mario did my underground downspout extensions. They also removed sod to add dirt to make my site level. Replaced with new sod. They were on time, and so very personable! These fellas did a Super Great job! You will love what they can do!!

This company is a company you can trust to get your landscaping needs done. From constant water and flood damage my grass was really weak and not pleasant to the eye. After I met with Sweeneys, they were able to revive my lawn and make it even better than before. With wonderful service from the employees I felt right at home. Great work and a great company over all.

Normally I do my own yardwork, but have had some health challenges lately. Sweeneys has been out a couple times to mow, fertilize & trim my shrubs & have done an excellent job - very detailed, reasonably priced. They contact you the day before so you re prepared & they have a great email newsletter.

Sweeney Landscaping did an excellent job sodding an area that was previously the site of a deck. When estimating the job, Tim Sweeney provided a number of good suggestions in how to design the perimeter for a nice look and low maintenance. Tim was generous with his knowledge on how to control weeds in the stone border around much of my house. On the day the project was scheduled, Tim and his foreman came to the jobsite along with the crew and reviewed the work to be done to make sure everyone was on the same page. The weather wasn t great but the crew did an excellent job of making the design a reality. They also added some stone to other perimeter areas to improve the look of the entire area. They did a fine job of core aeration for the whole lawn and applying weed control to a stubborn weed patch which now (a couple days later) is showing some progress. Based on my experience, I can recommend Sweeney Landscaping for you landscaping needs. As I have future landscaping needs, Sweeney will be the first firm that I call. Bob B Elmhurst IL
Ive called and left messages over and over and get no call back. They must not want any business.
online requested an estimate, Mike came out within a couple days and emailed me a estimate. The estimate was specific with details of the job and time frame. I was able to accept the estimate online and within 2 days the 1st process began. As stated in the estimate the follow up to finish job was in 2 weeks, the guys came did great work and the backyard clean up was immaculate. I recommend this company based on service, follow up and completion of job. Dont hesitate to contact them as one of your options.
An awful company that does not stand behind its work then tries to hide behind their online interface when you try to call them out on it. If they see an unsatisfied customer they will screen their calls and literally never call you back. The whole process started out great - getting an estimate, etc. and they seemed very promising, and I had very low expectations. But after a power rake and overseeding resulted in a truckload of dirt strewn carelessly in giant clumps throughout my yard I had to call and find out what they thought they were doing. No one would return my calls. At this point my lawn was pretty much dead thanks to them. Then they come back in 2 days thinking they are going to mow the dirt pile. Of course I told the crew to go away, and certainly Sweeney added the mowing session to my bill as if they did the work. I have called multiple times only to leave messages. Emailing them gets nowhere if they dont want to answer to you. All they do is blindly send invoices. I told them I wasnt going to pay for this shotty work, and I have no intention to. I even wrote them a letter and sent via mail and still got no response. So I will give their invoices the same level of attention they give their customers - ZERO. Im done with them and you all should be as well. Stay away.

I was hesitant at first because my husband hired Sweeneys first. But I was so pleasantly surprised by the professionalism and quality of work that I am absolutely sold on Sweeneys Custom Landscaping. We hired them in the fall to clean our yard of all the leaves. We simply did not have the time or energy to keep up with the yards. They came out and spent three hours with three workers to clean the front and back yard of all leaves and debris. But I was most impressed with the fact that they cleaned out my flower beds so well. They removed all the stems from my Hostas and cut down the dying plants. And now, my plants are growing tall and strong because of the clean up work they did in the fall! My husband and I have already talked about how we plan to use Sweeney from now on!! Hiring Sweeneys was one of the best decisions weve made!
Great company. Have used them a few times. Both big and small jobs. Will be using them again in the near future to hardscape the back yard.
