Alt's Operation in Verona

Alts has done a good job clearing snow from the parking lot and sidewalks of our office building for the last couple of years and done it at a fair price. Following the plowing season, theyve repaired damage from the winter plowing efforts. I will be begin using Alts for mowing services at this building this season.

Always here plowing before we needed to be anywhere the day after it snowed. When we first started with them the guys missed an area. I called and within the hour it was taken care of. Excellent customer service.

The mowing was fine. They gave me an estimate of $170 and then charged me $358. I would have picked a different company if I had known it was going to be that much. I will use someone else in the future.

Alt s Operation designed and installed our landscaping for our new home. We have a rather large parcel, and our home is built into a hill, necessitating a rather steep grade change along the back wall. The project included lawn, planting areas, several large retaining walls, and two paver patios. Kevin, our designer, put forth a plan that incorporated all these elements, with a detailed listing of plants and materials. HIs design process was very interactive, incorporating our ideas while at the same time tracking costs against the various components. Once started, Alt s had the teams and equipment necessary to do the work as proposed. Kevin s management of our job was excellent questions and suggestions were quickly answered and he smoothly worked directly with our builder as needed. We love our new landscaping!

They skipped plowing our condo parking lot. As a result we were trapped with a toddler for three days. This is unacceptable. Would not recommend. Luckily Target could deliver us supplies!

Our HOA uses Alts for snow removal & they are terrible. They do a crappy job plowing. They tear up grass around our grounds (and do not repair in the spring). They sometimes do not remove snow until 24 hrs after the snowfall leaving us stuck in our garages. Super poor job shoveling or blowing sidewalks. They leave them icy & dangerous Also, they are not responsive to issues with their plowing. . I cant wait until our contract is done with them. Being disabled , I moved to a place where lawn care & snow plowing is taken care of. Ive asked my neighbors what they do & half of them say they shovel themselves despite the fact that we pay them to do it.

A few experiences that just just left me thinking wow, these guys are awesome. First of all, these guys do much more than just lawn maintenance. Google needs to update their services listing. They do snow removal, debris removal, snow removal, spring and fall cleanings, and a ton of other stuff. Just ask them and they will most likely be able to help you. They are also a local small business. I feel much better supporting a local small business (that is growing rapidly) than the large TruGreens of the world. Ive tried TruGreen and their customer service stinks. I can never get a response to my emails or calls to their local office. Alts Operation on the other hand, responds every time I email them. Here are some personal experiences: 1. We were listing our home for sale and had a photographer coming in. They bent over backwards to get us an extra mow before the photographer showed up. Literally, late on a Friday they sent a team over to mow before our photos on Saturday morning. Amazing responsiveness and service. Totally saved the day. And they didnt get upset with me for such a late notice. They just got it done. Very professional. 2. They also do snow removal. I called them up during a huge snowstorm. I was out of town and my wife was snowed in. It was a very busy day for them -- they were getting calls from everyone to help dig out their homes from the snowfall. They showed up and dug out our driveway while I was out of town and totally saved the day. Again, very responsive and professional. No excuses, they just get the job done. 3. They also will haul stone mulch and other debris from your home. I had cleaned out several of my garden beds and had a pile of stone mulch in my driveway. They sent a team and a bobcat to load thousands of pounds of stone mulch into a trailer and took it to a disposal facility for me.

Sorry to say it was a company that was full for snow clean up, but it was very nice of them to call to tell me. A simple call was all it took! Appreciate that. I had a company to shoval (prepaid 2500.00) and they went belly-up. Im retired and have a fixed income. No call. Nothing. Thanks

Good Design, Poor Execution Kory, the owner, has a good design person working for him and that is what convinced us to go with Alt Operations. Kory is very involved in that process, but once you hand over the down payment he does not come around to check in with you. In our situation it was for a newly built home so we needed everything done and spent around $30k. For that amount of money you would expect things to be perfect, but the crew he sent did not put much care into the project. Planting trees in the wrong location, plants under downspouts and the only way Kory came around was if we demanded he stop by. The grading and seeding of our lawn was far from professional. We have low spots in the middle of a flat area where water pools and grass won t grow. The swale built to handle the rain water in our backyard created 12 ditches through the middle of the yard. Another runoff down our driveway washed out our asphalt and also created a ditch due to erosion. This spring he came back to fix the swale and over-seed. He did not go over how he would fix it. One day a guy with a bobcat showed up and started moving dirt around and the fix created a steep hill in our backyard. We had to figure out how to do it and tell the operator. Then some young kids came out to over-seed. When they weren t spitting tobacco on our grass or looking at their phones they did not seed our whole yard missing large areas and when I asked them to put some straw down where there was nothing but dirt, the kid told me his boss told him not to. Again, while the design was good, the execution and care is severely lacking. Do not let the high rating fool you. Get a landscaper that cares.

Do not use this company. We had our new lot seeded last fall and no grass has grown (it is now June). The grading of our backyard also wasn t done properly and we have multiple low spots that water puddles form in. I ve been trying to get them to come back out to fix these issues for over a month. The customer service is horrible as emails are completely ignored. My builder has tried to get them to come back out to do the job and I was told it would happen last week. Nobody showed up last week. I was then told it would happen this week. Nobody has shown up this week and now I m being told it won t be happening this week either. We are now in summer and my yard still has no grass and is filled with weeds and puddles when it rains. The longer this goes the more I will be letting everyone know of my experience with this landscaping company.

Alts Operations is a great company to work with. Company owner, Kory Alt has a uniquely creative perspective for landscaping. In addition, he is prompt, polite and professional. The employees at Alt are extremely courteous and very professional. Their suggestions that tweaked our original design made the end result great. Kory Alts Lawn Care Company, Alt Operations, LLC, has done an excellent job for us here at Harlan Hills Condo Association. From the beginning of working with Alts company, from bidding, contracting, refining our needs and matching them with Alts capabilities, everything has been a smooth process. Kory Alt is easy to contact, and willing to listen to suggestions. His workers are timely, curious, and skillful. Our original developer of our home condo Association has told me that the place looks great, just like he dreamed it would look like when he originally came up with the plans to develop this land near University of Wisconsin Arboretum area in Fitchburg. Because of our proximity to UW Arboretum, and conscious of the special ecology here, Alts company has been able to mow, trim and work around numerous berms and rain gardens. Alts service the condo where I live. They left all of the leaves next to our garage that they cleaned up in the neighborhood. This should not be a dumping ground, and its almost covering our drain. When they mow they leave muddy tire tracks everywhere. This was the first time all year that they even cleaned up our leaves, and then they improperly dispose of them. Time to hire someone else I hope!

Alts provided a complete landscaping service for our new home. This included finish excavation, landscaping, installation of an extensive rock wall, plantings, and our lawn. We found their service to be very professional. The materials were of high quality. And the extensive varieties of plants and trees survived the first winter without losing a single plant. Alts team provided excellent customer service. In fact, their follow through combined with their responsiveness to questions and suggestions resulted in an A+ experience for us. Also, we found that Kory Alts creative solutions kicked our vision for our new landscape up to a much higher level, while at the same time providing several cost saving ideas. With regard to price, we were pleased that Alts not only provided the full service per our contract, but also at a very competitive price. Kory Alt was recommended to us when our neighbor, Bryan Steele, moved and was unable to continue his snow removal operation for us. I found Alts Operations thru our neighbors project. I was impressed at how thoroughly and hard they worked on their large project. So when we had some grading, paver and patio installation to do, I called Kory. He is very friendly and responsive. He was willing to work with me to fit our budget to the project. Despite the rains late this summer, they completed everything quickly. I am quite particular (especially with a permanent installment) and we had a couple changes to large boulders etc. Kory was very accommodating and made them happen without question. We are very pleased with Alts and would highly recommend and have referred friends.
