I spoke to Miguel within 2 minutes after requesting a small sod job ( 1 pallet ) from Home Advisor, I quickly realized I had the best person for the job at the right price after discussing our project. He was thorough and honest from the start and gave me a ballpark figure over the phone. We set up an appointment for the following day at 7 A.M. ; at my request as I had other obligations. He was professional, on time and came up with the most effective and cost efficient option for my yard. The sod is some of the best I have seen, rich green and extremely healthy. I highly recommend the company and I will be contacting them in the future for any lawn care needs.

Miguel from A& B Landscaping & SOD contacted me immediately after making an inquiry through home advisor to get some quotes. I had a short amount of time to get SOD down before a birthday party and he was able to do the job a few days later. Miguel did a very professional job replacing SOD around the backyard after a new pool install and provided several options on how to do the job cost effectively yet with a great look! Miguel is very knowledgeable about the care and maintenance of the grass and ideas about future landscaping needs. I would recommend Miguel and A&B Landscaping for any landscaping projects!

I only gave him a one star because I had to, to leave the review. Miguel was a great business man at first, he understood the vision, as my dad is a retired disabled vet, we needed a low maintenance, sodded yard, and we didn't know much but that, so we followed his lead. It was a bigger project, so the time frame was 5 days, and on the fifth day even when the project was unfinished he wanted the full payment, and us having a good business relationship so far, we paid. And at this point we have giant flower beds and bushes lining our property, not even upset as it would be a lot of maintenance, we paid and we were excited. They laid top soil and mulch, that contained and carried ton of debris. On top of that, when laying our sod we had multiple trees be removed, he removed a tree the very last day, and instead of filling the hole left a piece of the sod on the hole, leaving us liable for any broken ankle to occur stepping in a hole they left. They left an area of our yard untouched until the last day, that area didn't receive any top soil, and just 'natural mulch' (which is huge logs, and sticks my dog has loved it) they proceeded to plant the pushes that had sat in our garden bed in pots for at least a week and a half with just sticks surrounding them. We sit on a corner lot so bushes had to be back some, no problem, looked great, there's an area that sits by our stop sign about a 12ft by 60 ft area he wanted to lay natural mulch, as we weren't getting the vision but have paid in full and now we are going on week 3, my mom wanted it sodded. At this point my moms just expressing concerns, we paid in full and then instead of them being there before we woke up we didn't see them until 3pm maybe 1/2 days to drop stuff off, and then there would be one out of two people who worked on our yard planting things. & remember we had a good business relationship with Miguel and his staff, even with waiting and the extra maintenance our yard would be, we were happy. Until after expressing that after paying in over 11 grand full over 2.5 weeks ago, we don't think having that much "natural mulch" on the edge of the road would look good as we want edges, and that's a lot of mulch!! My mom asked for it to be sodded, and she will not pay another thing, we waited, and we have gotten 50% effort since being paid in full, and she had stated over and over the mulch wouldn't work. Miguel asked her to sign an agreement saying they wouldn't be liable after they sod that area, which threw us off as we had a good standing and had paid him in full before he had even finished the job. My mom agreed to sign after they finished our yard. he didn't answer instead came, did the 'finishing touches' on the yard, didn't roll the sod, as we are liable for rolled ankles on the lumpy yard, and left holes. He didn't put the "dye" on. We didn't even get the free bushes for our good reviews. He also 'revoked my dads military discount' because he no longer felt comfortable dealing with us, even upset with Miguel we had a great business relationship so we weren't mean, cussing, or aggressive in any way. He also was asked to make sure he didn't cover our irrigation sprinklers, we are still digging them up as we find them!! As of today, he said he won't be sodding the rest of our yard, that is untouched, not even the mulch I paid in full for 4 weeks ago now. I would definitely find someone else to do the job, especially if you want to spend money the right way!! If we could've went back and picked someone different we would've!!!!

So pleased to find A&B Landscaping for sod project!! Found on Angie’s List originally & continued my research!! Found outstanding reviews!! Met with them & discussed sod project & challenges we had in the past!! They were very thorough with my options that would work!!! I chose my best option & pricing was fair & detailed! They performed project on time & have kept everything clean & organized through the process!! Very pleasant to work with & communicated with me during entire project…definitely recommend them for any landscaping project! Plan to use them again in the future!!
