Account manager replied very quickly to my call and suggested troubleshooting my water feature issues, which ultimately I was able to resolve. Routine, weekly service has been great so far. Would highly recommend.

I want to thank the men at GRO who worked on my backyard. It was in need of help: pruning, weeding, laying down a pre-emergent to stop weeds from growing (no herbicide), and then laying bark dust over that. I had someone come out to prune and weed one year prior (NOT from GRO), and it was done so poorly. Seeing the difference between the work from GRO and the work done prior - well - no comparison at all - each end of the scale. I want to thank Felix Torres, Delfina and Felix Reyes for their work. They were in my yard for 3 full days, and they actually chose to work when we had the one day of the Bomb Cyclone in November 24. Any hoot, I will try to find pictures from before and after to post, but even if I cannot, I wanted to acknowledge their help and their work. Ignacio - I believe their lead supervisor - came to our home 3 times: to go through the original bid with myself and Craig, to have a walk though with his men about what needed to be done, and then before the men finished up on their last day. On the last day, Ignacio asked me to go through another walkthrough to assure that I would be satisfied with their work. In pruning, the men didn t just hack the bushes, they cut them back so they looked clean and still had foliage rather than looking woody. I plan to use this company again in the future, as I asked the work to be divided out for me so I could plan financially. Not inexpensive, but the work was done well. We hired Gro to design and install a curved paver walkway in our lower yard. The estimate was high and we chose to proceed. The work was timely and of high quality. The result is an elegant walkway. We call on GRO every year for our winter and spring irrigation maintenance and have used them for a handful of other projects around the house... removing some vegetation, fixing a water feature, etc... and have always had great results. Theyre always our first and only call when we need someone who knows what theyre doing in the yard.

From start to finish, everyone has been a top-notch professional who truly understands client care. Craig presented us with a gorgeous design plan that reflected our aesthetic needs only 2 days after we initially met with him. Erik the project manager, always responsive, supervised Manuel and Cruz as they implemented the design with the utmost care and skill, which included constructing a flag stone walkway, dry creek bed, planting a variety of trees, shrubs, and grasses, adding to and adjusting our irrigation system and installing low voltage lighting for a lovely night display. We are so grateful for this exceptional quality service that we will continue to use the GRO team for monthly landscape maintenance. We had GRO add sod, pavers, and river rock to our yard. They also added onto our sprinkler system. During the course of the job, we decided on a few changes, and Craig was extremely accommodating. The price was reasonable, the work was excellent quality and done timely, and the finished job was exactly how we wanted it. Ignacio and his crew were the best. We have had numerous compliments on the improvements they did to our yard. I would recommend them to anyone that wants to make improvements to their yard.

Gro did a fabulous job from start to finish with my landscaping project. My project designer was Johnny and he was very responsive to my needs, quickly gave me a bid for the work and kept in touch with me when the project was supposed to begin. The crew that came to do the work were efficient, pleasant to communicate with, and checked in with me on a regular basis to assure that I was included in any decisions. The lead person, Ignacio was very knowledgeable and helped me in deciding where the plants would look best since I am not a visionary. All the guys that performed the prep work and final steps were hard workers, very courteous and did an excellent job cleaning all the dirt and bark off the driveway, and they also repaired the sprinklers. Johnny stopped by the next day to follow up on how the job went and to assure that I was happy with the final results. I would highly recommend Gro for future projects!

Update since my review posted in May: GRO continues to exceed our expectations, keeping our garden looking beautiful! We really appreciate the attention to detail and follow through of our GRO Experience Manager, Johnny. He is our single point of contact for any of our landscape needs or concerns. Johnny is extremely knowledgeable and does an excellent job communicating and coordinating with the teams. And, we consider ourselves very fortunate to have the services of master landscape craftsman, Ignacio. He is the reason we chose GRO in the first place! Ignacio leads the GRO Enhancement Team and is very engaged with the crews as they perform the work. He has led them through several projects in our garden, including building retaining walls and adding plants and trees. He is a consummate professional! Finally, Lugar and Ramon are our dedicated maintenance team and they do a magnificent job caring for our gardens. All-in-all, we couldn t be happier with GRO! Posted May 14, 2024: We had our entire yard professionally landscaped and it looked amazing. But, the company that did the design and installation did not provide maintenance in our area. Most of the companies offering landscape maintenance were simply Mow and Blow. We wanted much more than that. We found GRO Outdoor Living and arranged for an initial clean-up. But, once we met Ignacio, a master landscape craftsman and the leader of GRO s Enhancement Team, we knew we had found the right company. We signed up for the annual maintenance package with visits every week in the growing season and bi-weekly in the winter. Our dedicated crew of Lugar and Ramon care for our gardens as if they were their own. They know exactly what needs to be done and they expertly tend to every detail. We have used GRO to enhance our landscaping, adding several trees extending some walls and walkways. Their attention to detail and expert craftsmanship really set them apart. All of our interactions have been guided and advised by our GRO Experience Manager, initially Bob and now, Johnny. They are our single point of contact for all of our landscape needs. Cant say enough good words about our completed project with GRO. The initial estimate for a new travel trailer parking spot from Johnny Burrows (GRO Experience Manager) was not the least expensive we received but was certainly the most thorough and comprehensive. We accepted the estimate and the work completed by Michael Czupryn (Project Manager) and his crew is exceptional. Project was completed in one day with no issues at all. We are extremely pleased and highly recommend GRO.

We are extremely impressed with the rapid germination process of our new yard. We initially anticipated that the grass would take several weeks to grow, but within just one week, it reached nearly two inches. I wish I had the experience of the other reviewers as this seems like a great company! Maybe they are just getting things set-up in Bend? They do our front yard landscape maintenance and this is our lawn currently. Despite multiple attempts to reach out it still doesn t not look professionally maintained. In Bend, I would go with someone else unfortunately.

I have been working with this landscaping company for over a year and I could not be more pleased with the service they provide to us. This is a large property, but the team is immaculate in their detail and consistency. The grass is green and even, the weeds are nowhere to be found, and their schedule means all the things that need attended to get attention at the right time! Could not be more pleased! We had numerous landscape lights relocated and upon inspecting them that first evening I noted that one of them was very dim and I thought would need replacing. Our Experience Manager, Johnny Burrows, came out and determined that we could just replace the bulb. He made multiple trips to the vendor to ensure we had the right bulb and the issue was resolved that day! This is why we use GRO for all major landscape projects. You get what you pay for. I finally got what I want. I m particular about a few areas of my yard in uptown Vancouver, to the point where I ve let go of several other vendors as a result. Gro is simply the best landscaper out there. If you care about detail and customer service, these are your people. Johnny is amazing! Ps anytime I leave my house, everyone standing in my yard knows who I am, stops their machines, and asks if I m happy. How much better can you get?

GRO never ceases to amaze me. Seriously. GRO has an amazing crew and they are absolutely lucky to have Bob on their team. That guy is a stud! I don t care what profession you are in, customer service and follow up matter! So does integrity. I always say always do what you say you re going to do, sometimes more, but never less. Bob is that guy. And so is GRO. Always doing the right thing. Great follow up, very kind and patient. Just swung by the house really quick between appointments to take a look at my sprinkler system that they rebuilt for me. I could not get it to work. He figured it out in 2 minutes. It was a single control wire that needed to be reconnected to talk to the valve boxes. I ve been working on it for a week. Thanks again Garet and Bob! I love working with GRO and I will continue to refer all of my clients to them as I always have. If you need landscape work done, do not hesitate to call these guys immediately. They will take really good care of you and they always do what they say they are going to do. Sometimes more, but never less. I only gave them a five star review because six stars is not available.

I had a large landscape project due to construction damage that required detailed communication and flexibility. Oswaldo and Eduardo worked hard to complete the landscape project to my complete satisfaction. Oswaldos communication, ideas and attention to detail was excellent. I am very pleased with the final outcome.

We had a backyard project that started out as adding a hot tub pad and luckily working with Colby and the team at GRO the project grew into something so much better. Added to our upper and lower outdoor living spaces with a sunken area for hot tub. Upper deck area has screens and heaters for year around outdoor living. Colby and Josh were very helpful through out project and all of the sub contractors were true professionals. Couldnt be happier with finished product.

I had the opportunity to observe fast hand the work of GRO Outdoor Living as the selected firm that was hired by Pahlisch Homebuilder to be the master landscaping company for a new home development in Hillsboro, Oregon for our masterplan community. We had a small 18 high rock landscape wall along the front of our yard which looked too small and rocks occasionally popped out onto the adjacent sidewalk. We talked to GRO at a recent Street of Dreams where we admired their work and ultimately contracted with them to replace our existing wall with a more substantial rock wall. Their construction crew was wonderful to work with and the finished wall completely changed the appearance of our front yard. Managers for the company routinely visited the project to make sure we were happy, and they made very good suggestions for some changes that were excellent choices. We would work with this company again without hesitation, and many neighbors have admired their work and asked for recommendations, which we gladly gave.

The entire process of estimating through completion was first class. They were careful to be sure they understood our needs then brought the foreman out to communicate the scope of the job. From the inital design to the execution of a multi-phased project, the GRO team listened and assisted with ideas and solutions to challenging situations. We had a grassy backyard that would puddle with swampy spots even though we have a French drain with a pump. We asked Bob, landscape architect at GRO, to give us a solution. After looking at our yard, he said there really isn t anything that can be done other than to redo it all from the ground up. After saying so, he had an epiphany. What if he drew up a rain garden? It was quite brilliant. To say we love it is an understatement. Not only is it visually engaging with rocks and various sized stones, it is a feast for the eyes with diverse plants and grasses. Well done GRO! Additional shoutout to Ignacio who made game time additions and changes like incorporating the new area with the perimeter gravel to finish out the masterpiece!

We had a wonderful experience with Gro. We had come up with a plan for our backyard and hired Gro to make it happen. I cannot say enough about what a great experience this was! Sean was amazing. And so were all the team members who worked on the project. Every day they came on time, did amazing work and left things all cleaned up when they left. Sean offered advice and made sure that our vision would work the way we envisioned. Sean and Gro made sure that we were happy with all the work that was done and when we had an issue with they made it right. The water feature they put in for us was better than we had even imagined. The patio and barbecue kitchen set up are amazing. They took time to find the right stones and plants for us, everything was quality. The whole process felt like a true partnership and we are so pleased.

We are looking at getting a new landscaping company for our HOA, when our current contract expires.David is a wealth of knowledge and a really nice Guy.He pointed out many things that we never even considered as we begin looking to get a new landscaper. If anyone is looking for a professional, knowledgeable, and helpful resource for you landscaping needs David is your guy.We are still under contract with another company, but Gro is at the top of our list as our next landscaping company.

We have nothing but positive things to say about GRO. They designed and built a covered structure over a concrete pad for a new hot tub. They converted an existing window to a door, added new stairs, and took care of all the landscaping around the new structure, planting a dozen new trees and bushes. It was amazing to have a one-stop shop for all the major and minor work, as GRO partners with other contractors. Their electrician did an excellent job with the tub wiring, and installed a needed dedicated outlet in a far end of the house as well. GRO even took on random things that arose during the project, helping with a couple of unrelated emergency leaks for us and getting their trusted plumber, with the part we needed, to do the work needed within the hour. We had a consistent project manager who took care of everything; he was communicative, extremely experienced and competent, full of great suggestions, and really understood our needs. Thanks so much, Colby, and the entire GRO team. We couldnt be happier with the project and the process.

This company installed a landscaping in front of my yard as a part of new development. When I requested some maintenance to be done on their sprinkling system, they give me run around, and they do not follow up on the issues. They got the money from the builders and dont care and refuse to service it.

We had this company put our irrigation system in the front and back yard, put sod in and also do some other landscaping a number of years ago. I called in today to have my control box (Rainbird) serviced and Melissa explained that it would cost $250 for a service call and then $95(?) per hour after the first hour. I guess that I was ok with that, other than I can go to the doctor cheaper than that, though what I didn t like is that she said that they charge UP FRONT and would need a credit card. I didn t have my card on me, and thankful for that after thinking about it. How can a company charge you BEFORE they do any work? How about this, next time GRO walks into a grocery store they should charge them $250 before they go in, and then $95 per hour? Really GRO? Get a clue! Let s see how your business does as we head into this recession.

Be careful before working with this company. Make sure to keep track of everything including materials if you decide to have them do work. They recently completed a job at my residence and are trying to bill me for an entire pallet of pavers that were not used due to overestimation on their part. They gave me a blanket excuse that they normally order extra material for their jobs, but that isn t true. The additional pallet was indeed a part of their estimate , as I ve counted the number of pallets they brought over. They also did not install a hot tub pad correctly , so the stones are currently loose. They also added charges without notifying me of options, and let me know after the unexpected job was completed and added to my bill, very unprofessional. At the last day of work, they also left a mess in front of my house which I cleaned up and power washed. I also requested to speak with the supervisor Craig, who has not yet returned my call. I am currently waiting for any possible resolution they are willing to offer, but it appears that I will have to resort to speaking with my legal team in order to rectify these issues. Edit (11/22/22): I am happy to report that GRO has addressed all concerns, and even followed up after completion to ensure everything was okay. There was a minor issue with a paver, which they quickly addressed and corrected. I m impressed with how they found solutions for the problems, and the professionalism in how they applied it. We bought our 3) trees from the GRO Nursery with expert help picking them out and wonderful advise from Arianna. She helped us pick out our trees, takeing all the time we needed. The GRO crew came out and planted them, staked them beautifully, and cleaned up afterwards. I highly recommend this company!

Failure to follow basic instructions repeatedly or to exercise care in working around owner homes. For the past 15 minutes, Ive been subject to team happy hour right outside my window where workers have camped and loudly carried on during their break without regard to those they are disrupting in their presence.

Did pickup. Easy, fast and efficient. Food was great!

These guys do weekly maintenance at my condo and they seem to do a decent job. Today one of the guys found a necklace in our yard that my wife had lost and knocked on my door and returned it to me. I was very thankful and Im giving five stars for integrity and honesty

Gro Outdoor Living created a new full yard design for us and performed all of the work to renovate the entire yard. Their work surpassed our expectations. Their attention to detail and quality standards were top notch. They were flexible and willing to make changes throughout the project. We love the result even more than we thought. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend them for yard renovations.

They did landscaping on my new house however there are several issues with the irrigation system they put on. First, they left one of the sprinkle with flushing head. Second, there are many sprinkles with issue..some are too short off the ground and some are too tall which leads to watering on unwanted areas and not watering at all. When I first turned on system, sprinkles were watering all over the place even across the street. I am pretty sure they did not test the system after they installed otherwise it wont be hard to catch it. I adjusted few of them but the ones that are too short or long can not be done easily. And MY LAWN IS DYING. I contacted them twice about the issue. Both time I was told they would have someone call me within 48 hrs but I have yet to receive a call after couple of weeks. Terrible follow-up service. Please spend your money on someone reliable. Edit: After the review, they came to my property and fixed those issues.

The folks at Gro just finished up a boulder retaining wall project for us today. We havent even had the final walk through yet, but I just want to say that my Wife and I are really impressed with the beautiful job our guys, Vincent and Brandon, did on the entire project. Not to mention Ben, Brandon, Jeronimo and all the other folks who came over at different times to work on the project, make suggestions, and offer possibilities. All in all an outstanding job, and a very professional job from start to finish. From the quotes, design work, to the implementation, we give our highest recommendation, and thanks for a job well done.

Very good company to design or repair your yard

The retaining wall project in North Vancouver that GRO completed for me turned out quite well. All of the employees were very friendly, professional, and took time to answer the many questions we had along the way. Excellent responsiveness and communication of some issues along the way helped a ton. It was a very hot couple of weeks, but they managed to complete it in a reasonable time frame, even with the need to change a few decisions along the way. I know there are cheaper options out there, but GRO is worth the consideration for your landscaping projects.

Garret and his team delivered consistently high quality throughout the design and build phases. They turned a dilapidated lawn into a Street of Dreams like landscape.

We moved to Vancouver 3 years ago and had Sam Vilhauer build our new home. He used GRO for our landscaping. We have worked closely with them for almost 4 years for all our landscaping needs. We have found them to be very professional while at the same time friendly and caring. I feel I can call them with a simple question or a major job and they always respond in the same caring way. Once you find someone that you trust - keep them!

GRO Outdoor Living created a front yard for us last year. They designed it and the team who came to do the work was terrific. They were hard workers, included us in the placement of rocks, etc. They stuck to the job regardless of the weather and I think did an A+ job. GRO took an absolutely horribly sloped backyard and turned it into a beautifully terraced and multi-functional yard. GROs original recommendation was accomplished quickly and with the utmost professionalism. My wife and I have been working with GRO Outdoor Living for the past year on 3 separate yet related landscaping projects for our home. Its key to note that the three separate sessions are due to our expectations being exceeded with each job and our creativity continuing to percolate. Benjamin and team have continually stepped up to answer the call of duty for our landscaping and capital improvement project(s). We began with a 330 sq ft holland paver patio which has now grown to nearly 800 sq ft, complete with a wood burning fire pit, LED perimeter lighting, irrigation, reengineered plant and flower beds and countless number of native plants and trees. When completing our due diligence and bidding the project, its important to note that GRO Outdoor was not the low cost provider but by far the most thorough and professional. The onsite team have remained the same set of guys, this retention has provided us with a tenured and informed set of professionals who continually build upon previous jobs. We have had the opportunity to work with previous local firms and GRO Outdoor are by far the best in our humble opinions.

We just had our backyard done by GRO and they did an outstanding job. The layout Hana did for us captured exactly what I was looking for. Their professionalism throughout the process was outstanding. They exceeded my expectations. The crew doing our job stayed late to get it finished and not only paid meticulous attention to the details with the plants but did an outstanding job on the clean up as well. I would highly recommend GRO for your landscape projects.

GRO helped create an amazing transformation of our private streetscape. We went from Sleepy Hollow dreariness to a vibrant landscape for our 5-lot neighborhood. I am particularly appreciative of the professionalism and responsiveness of GROs on-site crews. They provided turnkey services so that I did not have to coordinate multiple subcontractors for a complex landscaping project. Furthermore, GROs interpretations of and additions to the landscaping plans really helped to improve the overall project design. The neighborhood is ecstatic about the improvements...it is like we are driving into a new community each day. Each GRO suggestion, including additional boulders, added lighting, and different plant groupings helped to improve on the original design concept and related change orders were reasonably priced. They were not the cheapest of the bids we received for this ~$45,000 project, but they aggressively courted us and followed through with their promises for quality, schedule, and professionalism. I would not hesitate to recommend them for future work.

We used GRO Outdoor Living for our offices inside Garden. While they were constructing the Garden, their whole team was respectful to our work and keeping the noise to a minimum. The garden turned out great and they made sure to teach us how to care for it as needed. Id recommend them to a friend or another company.
