Tech was very nice and explained todays service well. Only comment is that lawn signs should have times and dates written on them and positioned in direction people walk.

these guys are the worst a bunch of kids with no knowledge of the business they are in, the technicians are kids applying fertizlers knowing nothing about lawn care they will destroy your lawn. a good company will regonize the problem lawn before its destroyed

Steve decided to show up at my house today with no prior communication. Continued to ring the doorbell until he woke up my daughter who was napping and I was at work. Called him to express frustrations and he hung up on me. All I did was request a quote, not someone to show up unannounced to my house. Will never be contacting them again.

I have been using Upper Saddle River Trugreen for years. While I dont see any improvement to my grass, my problem is they never do my whole yard of almost one acre. I have to peek out the windows to catch them before they leave. Their excuse is always I m new. This has been going on for years with every new technician. I even drove to the Upper Saddle River location to speak with the manager. Trugreen wouldn t give me their number so I just googled it. Still, every time they can t figure out where my property ends. It s not rocket science. They stop in the middle of the lawn and one would think, ohhhh is there more property to my left?.. I m convinced they have poorly trained help or they are just deceptive. I have to find someone else because they are not worth the trouble of calling them dozens of times over the years.

Trugreen came out killed my lawn!!!!!! came back a few times and did not spray entire property CAUGHT THIS ON CCTV WHEN I WAS AWAY FROM HOME.. after doing some more research online found this is a very common practice for Trugreen. spent over 15k reseeding the year prior thinking I was doing the best thing possible to help keep my lawn healthy. STAY AWAY !!!!!!

I am going to add my negative review to all of the other negative reviews. I signed up for the simplicity of not having to deal with this aspect of my lawn care myself, but it turns out they dont care about you lawn or property. Call customer service if you want to waste your time and speak to someone who knows nothing about lawn care, then wait while nothing is done and your lawn looks awful. I will be canceling my service and opting for a LOCAL business which is where I should have gone in the first place. I am tired of businesses that go through the motions but done really do much and cant communicate or fix a problem when it arises.

I ve used true green for the last four years. The grass is greener on the other side if you re using anyone else. Today was a free service, because there were some weeds over looked. I used TruGreen for 20 years+, and I just ended our relationship today. Their customer service reps and servicemen are now unreliable, unresponsive to your lawn problems, and the phone reps (located all over) give you inconsistent answers !!! Two nights ago I was told stop cutting the lawn, stop watering the lawn, due to my Dollar Spot fungus problem and today I was told the opposite. I had to diagnose my own lawn disease since they didnt know what is was. Maybe you happy clients are using a better branch than mine. People used to come up to me and ask me who I used, and I would proudly say TruGreen. Today, half of my front lawn has a disease which they dont recognize, treat or care about. I am starting with a new local lawn company in the next town, where I have a direct line to my rep who will handle all my problems centrally. TruGreen has lost control.

Weve used Trugreen for 3 years to treat our yard for ticks and mosquitos. Last year the techs would not show up unless I called to schedule a date, despite having paid up front in full for monthly treatment. This year I didnt renew my contract, however they continued to show up and bill me for services. The last two services the tech only treated for mosquitos and not ticks, even though I was charged for a full tick and mosquito treatment. I called customer support where I cancelled any future service and was eventually given a partial refund for those two dates. A local manager was supposed to contact me to discuss the issue and schedule a re-application for the tick treatment. I never heard from anyone, and instead a tech showed up with less than 24 hours notice today and once again only treated for mosquitos. Im not sure if this is managerial ineptitude, or a local branch trying to reduce costs by not doing the full application customers pay for, either way I highly recommend finding another company.

James Wallace, the general manager, came to my house earlier this year, and saw a mediocre (at best lawn). Over the last 5+ months my lawn is much, much better. Sure having a milder summer with rain/watering helped (vs higher temps/less rain last summer), but the Trugreen techs were excellent, always nice, and offer very good value. Once when I thought a treatment needed to be redone, they came back (no questions asked) and did again for free. Wish there were more honorable and responsive companies like Trugreen.

Very poor service and not reliable. Last year they only came three times to take care of my lawn, though they kept charging for services not provided. We paid for those three times and an extra one as last bill that we paid had a double charge.. After they mailed another bill, although there was any service provided....as we stop paying they sent us for collection.

My lawn is green, but full of dandelions and weeds. My neighbors lawn is pristine up to the property line. I dont understand as I have been a trugreen customer for years.

My lawn now is heathy looking and thick .with the help of True Green Lawn Care.Will recommend to family and friends.

The service says that they will come reapply if you have flea and tick problems. I called because after they did the flea and tech my dogs were still coming back daily with ticks and when I called in they said my next appointment was in 2 1/2 weeks. The person on the phone told me on Wednesday that they would be there two days from now on Friday to treat the lawn. They never came they never called and now I got a notice that they re coming on the original date scheduled. They did not come out to take care of my problem as they said. I have used them for a few years and have had other issues. Very poor communication. I will not use them after the season again Just found out that when they come out for the Tru Shield that they only spray the perimeter of your house - not your actual lawn. When you speak to the appllicator she tells you that you have to UPGRADE your service to get what you thought you were getting in the first place. HIGHLY OVERPRICED AND MISLEADING.

TruGreen calls the day before and the day of the appointment. They will change the appointment free of hassles . If it rains just change the time and day and its ok. My lawn is happy my dog is happy(no mosquitoes) and Im happy to. Autopay takes away the billing bugs too. Positive

You must watch as they do this very fast and you wonder how they did your entire property. Plus if it s pouring out and tell them not to service you, it appears they still bill you and unless you call and complain you get charged for them doing nothing. No trust.

The guys that show up look like they may be homeless. They walk through the yard carelessly spraying stuff. I ve watched the time on my ring camera, and they are actually here and gone in 5 minutes. One guy woke me up banging the ball off the backboard shooting baskets in my driveway. I still have just as many weeds It s a total ripoff and the trucks are filthy -don t know why but that bothers me too - maybe an overall feeling that nobody there has any pride in their work

I am writing this review on behalf of my mother who used TruGreen in Upper Saddle River to service her lawn in Ridgefield Park. My mother has always had a lush green lawn that was the envy of the neighborhood when she was able to take care of her lawn herself. She is no longer able to do the work, so she signed up with TruGreen and as a result, they destroyed her lawn. They come in and do a quick spraying, which also killed her rose bush in the process. She has called them several times to complain but the lawn keeps getting worse. They try to blame it on the dry weather but she waters consistently. Customers should not accept results like this from a professional lawn care company! I have also been unhappy with a different TruGreen franchise at my home in NJ. I now use a local landscaping company that provides a high level of customer service and beautiful results. Shop around for a reputable company before giving your money to TruGreen.

This company is absolutely awful, especially this branch in NJ. They have canceled on me several times and are behind on my treatment. Additionally, I requested a call from the manager several days ago and still have not received a call back. I would give less than 1 star. Whatever you do, do not use this company if this branch will be the one servicing your area.

this is my second season with TruGreen and they are a disaster. Customer service is always terrible here, but this year is truly special: when they came for the first service the tech thought it was a good idea to back his truck onto my lawn and then proceeded to put to huge ruts in my new lawn / seeded area when he pulled out. I have it on video and took photos (below). i have been trying to get it resolved for over 20 days now and am at my wits end. Impressively bad customer service. NOTE ON TRUGREEN RESPONSE: I have spoken to 5 different people at the company over the last 20 days, each of whom tells me someone else will be contacting me to get this resolved. Their response here is total BS.

They never followed up

Tried to get through to book a service and waited on hold for 30 minutes. My time is valuable and I can t be waiting that long.

The representative wasnt nice. I asked him questions and wasnt interested in answering or explaining to me my concerns about my property.

We paid for services in full and no one has shown up since May 15. No one can tell me why and they claim to be coming 7/30 for an early summer treatment . Would never recommend or use again. Poor poor customer service

BEFORE YOU TRY TRUGREEN, READ THIS 100% TRUE STORY First off, the good. This review is not reflective of Gordon the first tech that came to do service at my property. Nice guy, detail oriented, and a hard worker. Now the bad, My account is with The Saddle River, NJ branch and it is such a poorly managed company that I am at a loss for words. I cannot believe that they are in business. Whomever is in charge in corporate headquarters should be ashamed. Take my advice corporate, restructure your business model because its terrible. In my business, I would never stand for the total disregard that your employees give to their customers. Shoddy subpar service, employees that I have witnessed not doing their jobs, poor customer service when you call the 800 number, etc.. I recently made a call to speak to a manager. I was told they would call me back in 48 hours. No call back so I called again. Another 3 days and finally a call back. The manager said he would be out to see me between Monday and Wednesday of last week and call me prior to his arrival. Guess what?? No show!! No call to cancel!! So I called back today. I fully explained why I was calling. Guess what I was told by customer service, Managers take 48 hours to call you back...even when they dont show. I asked if there was anyway he could call me back today since he failed to follow through on his last appointment and, to my shock and amazement, the lady at customer service said we cant contact Managers on the road!!! Hey TruGreen, ITS 2021!! We can contact the International Space Station in real time, but not the busy managers at TruGreen!! On another note, my lawn has never looked worse. More weeds than ever. Its going to take forever to get it back to where it was BEFORE I hired TruGreen. One time, after they missed an entire month of fertilizing/weed control I called customer service. After a long winded excuse, and two additional dates that they said someone will definitely be here, almost another month passed by. Then, after another call to customer service,they finally sent a guy to address it. I guess he didnt know I was home because I have over an acre and a half of lawn and this guy was packing up in 15 minutes and he was doing it all on foot!! I came outside and said wow your done already? Think this guy would have been like uh-oh but nope. He straight faced looked at me and said yep, all done. So of course I said its impossible and he offered to do it again. He was a young kid so I didnt want to see him loose his job and I let it slide. Just an example of the mismanagement that this company is getting a well deserved reputation for. Maybe you should hire Managers that do spot checks on their personnel or the properties they service to see if it needs to be addressed. Lets see if it takes corporate another 48 hours to address this review. before you do review my record of calls with customer service and maybe youll get an idea of what Im talking about. What a disappointment. I have posted this review to the Better Business Bureau as well.

Extremely frustrating. Schedules are totally random and constantly change. The latest is where I received a text indicating that service was scheduled for today. However, the mobile app did not show this. I called customer service and they said that they did not show an appt for today. When I asked if he could tell me when my remaining 4 services are and what they are for; he proceeded to list the services already performed! The fact that they haven t been here in six weeks and weeds are flourishing seems of little concern. A goat would be a better option at this point.

Im a truck driver and made a delivery. Easy in easy out and quick.

The tech who came out to perform a service was only on my property for about 6 minutes and never touched the side or back of my property and when I questioned him, he stated that he was unaware that I had a back yard and it clearly states in their paperwork that I do and he left without ever putting up signs on my lawn and I have a dog and other dogs come onto my property as well !
