I have used On My Own Time Lawn Care for the past 2 years before moving out of their service area. I highly recommend their services. I never had an issue with my weekly service, the lawn care staff had always done a fantastic job and never left fresh cut grass on my car, sidewalks, porch driveway etc. (which other companies did). This business has wonderful communication about any upcoming skip weeks (due to weather etc.) The owner and office staff are super nice and have a quick response time to emailed questions.
Where to begin, First of all Justin I apologize this shout out is 2 months later than it should be. It seems my original review did not stick. Secondly, On My Own Time Lawn Care is more than just a local lawncare business. I am a mom of a special needs son who LOVES everything lawncare. They offered him an experience of a life time. For FREE the owner Justin came to my home for an entire afternoon and allowed him and a few of his closest friends explore and test out his machines and tools. He treated everyone involved with the utmost respect and professionalism. Most importantly to me he accepted my son and let him live his passions to the fullest. I wish I could add a few pictures to show how wonderful our experience and this business truly is. Support this business!!!
Nothing but great things to say. I needed landscaping done in my backyard and Justin came out the same day I called. They started work just a couple days later. I'm extremely satisfied with the price and results. I would highly recommend giving them a call.
Justin and the team at On My Own are great. Quick to follow up with any questions or concerns. I had some concerns earlier in the year with some of the cuts being too low and the team who mows my lawn was able to raise the level of the mower. This allowed for my lawn to being extremely green all year. The guys that take care of my lawn care and I can tell by the weekly approach to my lawn. I look forward to having them continue to take care of my lawn.
We needed sod for a new lawn, and I called many contractors, but Justin stood out above the rest. All the contractors I talked to were pleasant, but when Justin came to look at our job, I was impressed by his drive to make sure that our new lawn would be successful and that he would do his best to make sure that happened. Justin and his staff were always willing to answer my questions and concerns, and they always responded quickly. The crews were hard working and nice to talk to. They also did an excellent job of cleaning up after they were done. Even after the work was completed, Justin has made himself available for questions and to come back and check on the lawn.
I’ve seen Justin’s name around town a few times and have seen the work that his employees have done on my neighbors lawn but hadn’t needed their services until recently. When I did finally need their services the employees were helpful and quick to direct me to the right place to get set up/started. Then I had the opportunity to speak with Justin who was just as helpful and informative. With his help, I was able to find out about a program that I would not have known existed otherwise. I’m very grateful for On My Own Time and their responsiveness and flexibility. I look forward to seeing their continued good work in the weeks to come

So this was a customer experience like no other. They went above and beyond to help me find services in my area after we figured out therms didn t service my area. It s not often people go above and beyond like that for a stranger. A true statement on character there.
I started having On My Own Time cut my grass during the middle of the season and it has been a great experience. There are a few hiccups that we encountered throughout the season (rain days switching up my day to be cut) but other than that, I m very happy with our experience. I would absolutely recommend to family or friends.

I have been with On My Own Lawn Care for 6 years they cut 2 lawns for us(3 lawns for a few weeks) and I have NEVER had a issue with him or any of his crew. They are all pleasant when they are here or when seen in public. Absolutely amazing all around

I recommend Justin and On My Own Time lawn care. I hired them when I really needed help with the lawn and they responded. They came on the same day every week which was important to me. I also liked having the ability to pay online.
Have a small gravel road subdivision, emailed Justin for snow removal. He responded right away and did a great job. Highly recommend as he knew how to handle the gravel.

They service my 84-yr old mothers lawn and are always very gracious and friendly. Around Christmas, they even brought her cookies and that little gesture of kindness meant a whole lot to her!!
We hired On my own lawn care a year ago because my husband hurt his back and couldn t do our yard anymore. We are more than happy with their service. All the guys are very nice and professional. If you are in the Troy or Moscow Mills area and you need a lawn service, you won t be disappointed.
Ive relied on On My Own Time for a little over a year now for lawn mowing and I couldnt be happier! Great service. Lawn looks 1000x better than what I ever did. Great if you travel for work like I do and dont want your yard looking like Vietnam.
My neighborhood used this company for their landscaping. While they do a decent job, the owner seems to have quite the attitude. He is constantly running his mouth in the local facebook groups then hides behind the local small business front and his wifes business. His business name is also a good representation of his arrogance. On My Own Time insinuates that hell get to your lawn when he wants to, instead of when the customer would like it. As much as I like supporting local small businesses, the reasons above are definitely a deterrent. Im appreciative of anyone willing to better their local community but that also includes having a positive attitude and behavior. This company is not a great representation of our small, but growing town.

Justin and his team are awesome! We had an major emergency come up during our moving process due to all the rain and snow. Justins team came out the same day within just a few hours! I would highly recommend and cant say enough good things about these guys. They know what they are doing, do it right and the first time.
When we hired this lawn care service the care for our lawn was great. We have noticed after the first month the quality of the work went down. Part of the siding was cracked at the bottom from the mowers turning. We ignored the first chip. Thinking no that s not what happen. Then after the last cut another chip in the other side of our siding appeared. Our discussion from the get go was to have the back area of our lawn trimmed with a weed eater. Again, service was great for the first month then they stopped trimming it. We offered at the beginning to pay more for this service and was told No it s part of the service . I am so disappointed because We like to support our local businesses. We tried to call, text, and email. We got no response. I would not say don t go with this company. However I would say we received very bad communication with services we requested. If communication stops I would look else where for service,

Had a horrible sink hole happen at my house, had on my own time lawn care come out and evaluate it and come up with the best game plan to correct the issue. Today they came out and handled it. The crew did an outstanding job, we also had them do a flour bed in the front yard and it turned out amazing. Very very very pleased and will be using them from here on out.

Needed a lot of work done before our outside party ....talked with Justin on Wednesday his crew started that night finished on Friday before our party on Saturday. Removed 2 trees large grass, trimmed shrubs, hedges and mulched. Im still impressed that they could take care of this in such a timely manner. Justin followed up everyday making sure everything was alright. Highly reccomend this company. Their work and service outstanding.
Justin and team cut my lawn and have never messed anything up. Also had him tear up and reseed another lawn of ours after the seed and sod didnt take. Started looki ship-shape quickly and cant wait for spring!

Justin and his team have been very helpful and professional with helping establish my front yard. He gave recommendations on what he thought we should do, and if i wanted something different he was okay with that. So far the results have come along, he randomly checks back to make sure things are going to my satisfaction.
