Leonard's tree service is better than any Amazon service there is. Best damn tree company in all of traverse city. These guys are like artist. from the moment I received a quote, to the guys that showed up and did the work, fast, efficiently, and cleaned up every last leaf was honestly outstanding. Price competitive, and the best service in town. Don't go anywhere else this is THE GUY!!!!
Could not be more pleased with our experience with Leonardo’s. We had two HUGE trees to be trimmed for our insurance company. The team went above and beyond. Everyone was extremely friendly- Ben is awesome. Very knowledgeable, these guys truly care about your trees and love what they do. They made a *not so fun* homeowner obligation- quite fun indeed! Our trees look incredible, and are very happy. Excellent value to boot.
First time user of this business. Had not had good luck with other tree removers and trimmers. Leonardo, though, did a great job. Was extremely pleased. We operated on faith, as the estimate and the deliverable changed a little on site, but this company was fantastic and adjusted. Their workers were personable and very professional. Overall very happy with the work done. They came out quickly to give us an estimate and even identified 2 other trees that were at risk for falling and needed to be removed. The pricing estimate was great and accurate to the bill we received after the work was done. The men came out to complete the work within a few days and did a good job. They were efficient and friendly. They cleaned up all debris before leaving. I was a little disappointed when the truck cracked a small area in our driveway, however due to the size and location of the trees in relation to our septic and drain fields I don't believe it was avoidable as they had to navigate around those areas and also prevent the tree from falling on our home. We did notify them of the damage to the driveway and were offered two very reasonable solutions. I only mention this since there was another review that mentioned damage to the driveway. In our case I don't believe it was due to negligence or recklessness. These things happen when heavy equipment is needed and we are satisfied with the solutions offered. We will definitely be using this company again.
Leonardo's did a great job removing 6 trees (a couple were pretty big), their price was the best from four quotes, all of their people were super to deal with and they got the job done much more quickly than anyone else could have. That cutter was good. He dropped a big tree right down the midddle between my little apple trees. Happy Camper!
I needed 35 tree's removed and i wanted it done before snow fell. Leonardo's absolutely had the best pricing and timing. They could get to me way before the other Tree services in the area could do by months. These were mostly mature oak trees and they estimated 1 and half days work while everyone else told me 2 to 3 days. They showed up with 2 crews Monday morning and had there equipment set up and ready to go by 8:50 am. By 6 pm they had everything cleaned up and stacked the wood exactly where i asked them too and all there equipment loaded up and headed out. It actually came out to a cheaper price then they originally quoted me so that put an ever bigger smile on my face. These guys rocked it! Ive used them in the past and will continue to use and recommend them in the future. Thank you guys again!
Leonardo's has cut down many trees for me over the past 7 years. They're responsive, professional, efficient and have pride in their work. They clean up so well you can't even tell they've been there! Highly recommend them!
We wanted a very big Willow tree cut down plus a lot of other trees so we called for an estimate. Ben Swan came over to talk with us. We showed him every tree that we wanted to get cut down and why. Ben talked us out of cutting down all the trees but the Willow. We didn't know much about trees and he told us what kind of trees that we had and that the ones that we thought were dieing were not dieing they were just young. We are so happy that he explained everything to us. A week earlier we had another company come over for an estimate and that person just wanted to know what we wanted done and gave us a price. That person said that he will get back with us the following week. When we told a family member what was going on she recommended Leonardo's. Ben could of made a lot of money off of us but we believe that he really cares about the lives of trees. Ben will be back in a few weeks to cut down only one tree. Leonardo's is a caring company. Leonardo's did come out and took down our Willow tree and they did a awesome job. They cleaned everything up and it looks great. I would recommend them to everyone.

I had a tree. It was huge. I dont want it. They took care of it. Clean up, removal and cutting was fast. My tiny humans thought it was awesome to watch the lumberjacks work. Ben was super awesome and sent a great crew. 10/10 would deforest with them again.

Paul sent out his team to cut down some dead trees and trim back live limbs hanging over my roof. His crew wasted no time, got after it and were gone. I went out after they left and I couldnt find a branch or twig to clean up, thats an efficient/awesome crew. Leonardos has very reasonable rates, Id recommend them.
Although I have used Leonardos many times, I will not use him again, heres why: Paul gave me a good price, but when I saw the damages they had done, I was shocked- Paul came out and saw the driveway damages by his bucket truck, I have pictures. They also broke a part off of. wooden fence, rolled back a metal fence and never put back! They totally missed one tree, Paul said he would call Sure Seal to come look at it. That was late Sept.2018. I have called every month since April, with nO response from anyone!! This is no longer the business it used to be! Sadly, I cant trust their work anymore.

I called Leonardo s because I needed a tree in my hard to access back yard removed. It was a large beech threatening my sons room. Paul went in the same day, gave me an excellent quote, and as I didn t have a lot of money at the time talked me through all my options. We were able to come in at a price I could afford, and they did the job on a huge tree in less than an hour. I ve used three tree services in traverse city since I moved up in 2000. After being dissatisfied with the first two a friend tipped me off to Leonardo s. Leonardo s is by far the best.

I ve had a lot of tree work over decades and Leelanau County. This is a team that comes in and gives a fair quote, stands by it. The crew comes in professionally with all the skilled tradesmen, you can t tell that they were even there after their departure with everything so spot on cleaned. Do great with on site new concerns that develop as tree trimming or clearing commences. Really appreciate their expertise.
Gave me a quote on Saturday, Had all the work done Monday afternoon. Was able to communicate via text, which was perfect for my busy work schedule. I was kept informed of what was going on. Got home and was amazed how good my property looked. They exceeded my expectations and my final bill was not over the original quote.

I got a couple of estimates and Leonardos had a very competitive price. They had done a good job taking down some large white pines at my folks house so I went with them. I left to go to lunch with a friend and when I came back the tree was down and cut into 16 lengths just as I had requested and Leonardos was gone! Cant believe how fast they were, and this was a 75 ft tall Maple with a trunk diameter of 24. Thanks guys!
I have used their service many times in the past and was always very pleased. In fact, I often recommended them to others. Two years ago they did more work for me and agreed to grind up a pile of limbs we had in addition to what they cut. They did the work when we were gone and missed that pile. I immediately called them and they agreed to come back out. That was over two years ago. I have since left messages and sent an email with no response. It was very disappointing since I was sure theyd keep their word and return. I received a big told you so from my husband. I would rate them 5 star for prior jobs but I cant this time. The work they did was fine but they let me down.
