You'll get lots of promises both verbal and in your contract. Smooth talking but when it comes to the work - lots of excuses and you won't get what was contracted for. I was also asked about my husband when there were problems - really? I agree with Natalie P. and Timothy Stocker-Downing - look elsewhere or you'll likely be disappointed and badgered for unwarranted payments for a job not done as contracted.

Wilhelm Landscapes produced a lovely design for my new entrance with 2 patios, great boulders, and plenty of trees for privacy. The design far exceeded two others from well known landscape companies. The workers were diligent about cleaning up every night which went a long ways with my neighbor with whom I share a driveway. The quality of work was solid and I just love how everything came together. The transformation happened over a 2 week period and covered a lot of terrain so kudos to the team at Wilhelm Landscaping! It's a joy to walk out my door and see the total transformation.

Wilhelm provided and implemented an innovative restoration option to our eroding property, wetlands and shoreline. The effort, attention to detail and follow up was well done and appreciated.

I tried to buy a couple of large rocks for over two weeks with this company. I was physically in their office twice asking for pricing. I picked out the rocks I wanted but after two plus weeks have not received ANY communication regarding my questions. I probably would not recommend trying to deal with them.

I live in Hartland Michigan. They took up the 2 first spots in the parking lot at the Kroger in Hartland! Entitlement much?!

Wilhelm associates have truly been incredible hard scape and landscaping partners during a challenging pandemic and torrentially rainy year… From creative design recommendations, excellent stonework and attentive lawn, sprinkler, lighting and landscaping installations, this entire team was highly focused and responsive. The quality of materials and plantings are excellent as well. Communication and coordination were also of tantamount importance as we initiated this project from out of state, were concurrently building our house and depended on regular updates. This large project has been expertly crafted. We are highly satisfied with not only the showcase result but the detail oriented responsiveness of the entire crew.

We hired Wihelm for a two phased project that included a seawall (phase 1) and then significant landscaping (phase 2). After the seawall was installed in November, the owner asked if I wanted to pay extra for a layer of topsoil and reseeding. He told me we would never even know they had been there with their heavy equipment. I agreed to that plan and paid them in full for the seawall. The remainder was to be held back until we were happy with the lawn. Fast forward to this spring, and our yard is a nightmare. Our neighbors took photos for me after Wilhelm allegedly put down the "top soil." They didn't. Our yard is a sandbox with scraggly weeds and rocks everywhere. I sent pictures to the owner, but instead of trying to make it right, they called me demanding final payment--which, by the way, was 1.3% of the entire project. When I asked why I would pay for a lawn and topsoil I did not get, the owner became belligerent and condescending. He also said that "everyone knows" that in Northern Michigan, "topsoil" means sand. Uh huh. Finally, he suggested that "I call my husband" to see if I could make the final payment. Nope. I really do wish they'd made it right. For that 1.3%, they lost tens of thousands in more business for our phase 2. The two stars is for the seawall, which is beautiful. Too bad the kids cut their feet on rocks and sharp seagrass on their way down to the beach.

Once again we are very satisfied with the Wilhelm team. We have used them for several landscaping projects and retaining walls but this is the first crack and masonry work. They performed very well and got the job done ahead of schedule. There work quality was excellent with very good attention to detail. Their lead people are true professionals and do a great job of communication. When it was all over they always do good job cleaning up the site. We will definitely use them again

I spoke to Zach in the front office and he was so kind and knowledgeable. These guys are great, especially for a big job!

Scheduled a quote 5 days before appointment for a irrigation, Hydro-Seeding and a back patio ... they called me at the time of the appointment to let me know I need to have a $500 design fee for them to be able to come out. Planned my day around being home for the appointment. Very unprofessional and very poor customer service. Wouldn t recommend to anyone.

Two years ago I contacted Wilhelm Landscape to bid on inserting stone steps through my sea wall to access the water. What I ended up with was a brainstorm for a full-blown 2,000+ square foot landscape and patio remodel. The consultation helped open our imagination to the possibilities of beautifying and expanding our entertainment space. Due to the size and scale of the project (and varying Lake Michigan water levels) we were slow to commit. That said, fast-forward to Spring of 2021 we decided to start work and furthermore, imposed a deadline of mid-June, in time for a wedding on our property. Despite post-pandemic supply chain and workforce limitations, Wilhelm stepped up and delivered a really stunning result. The team worked almost non stop for three and a half weeks to finish the entire project the Tuesday before the wedding weekend. They were collaborative throughout the process, demonstrating creativity, problem-solving and decisiveness along the way. Weekly consultations with management and daily discussions with our foreman ensured there were no surprises. We are very happy with the result and would highly recommend Wilhelm Landscaping.

We hired Wilhelm Landscapes to design and install a shoreline patio, fire pit and steps to the dock on our vacant lakefront property. Our plan was to have Wilhelm do the shoreline work before breaking ground to build a lake house. Robert met us at the site and spent 2 hours listening to our thoughts. He and his team drafted an amazing design for a place to hangout at the shoreline. Robert was extremely responsive and flexible as we finalized plans and project start date. We are EXTREMELY PLEASED with their work, their professionalism, their responsiveness and the overall design and quality of construction. Kyle was the foreman on our project and sent daily pics of the progress. This really made our day as we looked forward to his pictures. Both Robert and Kyle were very accessible and responsive. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Wilhelm Landscapes in Williamsburg, MI for your landscape needs! Outstanding quality. Extremely professional. Always responsive and available. Just a great experience for us!

We hired Wilhelm for a project around our house. I dont want to get into many details, but he was absolutely unprofressional, did not do the job as hired, and I cannot emphasize how much I would NOT recommend him. Look somewhere else if you want the right job done.

We called Wilhelm Assoc. to protect our shoreline from erosion. They promptly came out to view the property and provided a bid within 24 hrs. They shepherded the permit process and began work as soon as we had all the various permits. The team did a great job and I feel very confident with the result. We can t wait to enjoy our shoreline next summer.

This company might be best suited for commercial jobs. They bring in big heavy equipment even though you are told they wont. Details were not shared with us and we were busy heading off things we did not want. If you like to be a planner and have a to--scale plan /drawing of the job, you will be frustrated. We were unable to have a sit down planning meeting so that we knew what we were doing. Therefore, we had constant stress as we tried to steer the results of the job. --very difficult to deal with. Stars to the workers who were fabulous but they had to get permission for everything which slowed the job down somewhat. After we worked out what we wanted, changes took place without our knowledge and we were stuck with it. On-the-job planning is not for me. Final results as far as quality of work were ok but many opportunities for improvement were missed.
