Living Green Designs in Torrance

They did my backyard and I just went to change wall mounted low voltage lights because they died. I took it off cot the wires and now they are at the bottom of the pillar and cant be retrieved without putting holes in the wall I find it amazing that they did secure the wires. More money!!!!!!

Highly recommend Living Green Designs! The entire process was easy and smooth from the design through construction. Any hiccup we encountered was handled quickly and stress free. Communication was always prompt, straight forward, and easy! Zach s team was always very respectful of our home, worked hard, and cleaned up nicely everyday. As far as construction projects go, this was by far the most smooth and on time project I ve been through!

After a major remodel of our house in Palos Verdes, my wife and I were ready to landscape our gardens. Finding the right vendor, however, was not easy. It turned out to be one of the best recommendations I can remember. After a few minutes on the phone with Zach, I knew we had found a creative, competitive, professional company we could put our faith in. From that moment, our experience was flawless, from start to finish. From a design perspective, Zach was able to take our broad vision and turn it into a tangible plan, which captured everything we had dreamed of and more. His ideas and solutions took our concept to the next level. The design process is clear and defined, visual and mathematical at the same time. From layout and structure to hardscape and softscape to trees and plants, his detailed plans enabled us to make informed choices and decisions quickly and easily, and visualize the physical project for the first time. His guidance along the way was enlightening, translating our vision onto the page. He was a breath of fresh air. From the start, the numbers were explained clearly in a way that was simple to understand and made us comfortable to move forward with confidence. When Living Green Designs began the landscaping it was incredibly smooth and efficient. I was concerned that our timetable was too aggressive, but we were given a clear schedule and they were ahead every step of the way. We had just moved into a home that had a newly remodeled interior, but we needed someone to design our front and back yards. Zach and his team were fantastic. The project began with a phone consultation to get a sense for our design preferences, gauge the scope of work, and provide rough pricing estimates. From there, Zach and Gary came for several in-person meetings and worked with us to customize a landscape design plan. Zach was incredibly knowledgeable when addressing our questions and concerns. He always kept our budget in mind. The actual work involved: Front and back yard Demo Clean-up of old vegetation and dirt Irrigation installation Planting of 3 citrus trees and about 40 drought-tolerant plants Back yard Patio: pouring concrete to level out our old patio, then installing new tile on top 70-foot vinyl fence Patio bistro lights Zach was on site multiple times a week as work was being performed. All of his team members were respectful of our property, putting their trash in appropriate bins and even taking our trash cans in on trash day. Best of all, work was completed ahead of schedule! We were so impressed with the work and professionalism that we ve hired them to help with the landscape maintenance as well. Would highly recommend.

Zach and his team created a beautiful back yard haven for us. We built an entire new patio seating area with gas fire pit, lighting and power supported by two retaining walls. The grass and planters each have their own drip or sprinkler line. Every detail was planned and constructed with care. We couldn t be happier with our new back yard!

I really appreciate Zach and his teams creativity with our project, which was taking a small patch of beat-up grass and turning it into an area we could use for entertaining. In Redondo Beach, we had a very small sliver of a backyard to design. Zach came up with a creative and great-looking design. He worked with us to incorporate our ideas, including a really nice water feature. I appreciated his eye for detail when it came to selecting the right plants and stones for the work. Overall, I would highly recommend Zach and his team at Living Green for backyard remodels and updates.

Zach was great to work with. He was very helpful during the design phase and had great ideas about how to use our space. Execution was on time and the only charges beyond the initial estimate were additions that we discussed and agreed upon. That was a nice change compared to most other contractors Ive worked with. He took the time to talk and explain many things we didnt know, and was very patient as we made up our minds. Were happy with our yards and highly recommend Living Green Designs.

Zach was a great partner to work with on our full outdoor remodel. We came to him with some reasonably firm plans already drawn up and a smaller budget than reasonably required to do it justice. He worked and re-worked the plans with us, balancing our desires and budget, while introducing practical considerations into the design that we hadnt considered. It took nearly a year from first consult to completion, but we are satisfied with the finished product, and probably happier with the final design than the initial one. If you are very comfortable with your plan, you can probably find someone to execute it quicker and cheaper. If you are are looking for thoughtful design assistance, Living Green Designs is an excellent choice.

Zach and team did an outstanding job completely transforming our back yard this year. It was a long project, involving quite a bit of demo to take out a large in-ground pool and overgrown planters which hadnt been maintained in decades, and building up a great new entertainment and play space for our growing family. Through the whole process living green has been responsive, cheerful, happy to work through evolutions in the design (as we realized more fully what we were working with) and we couldnt be happier with the final product. My only appreciable lesson learned on the project (our first major remodel) was to make sure to exercise the detailed design phase and/or be explicit in the points of the design that you have clear intentions for. We had a couple minor go-backs during construction due to some crossed wires on aspects of our BBQ/Fire-pit design which could have been avoided with a little more conversation up front, but that being said, everything worked out fine in the end. Along the way, I appreciate that Zach was able to offer general design suggestions that made us re-evaluate our initial rough ideas in a very positive manner.

Zach was a life safer! Very knowledge about all types of plant species as well as specific code in West Hollywood. If I could do 6 stars I would! He really came through at the end of our project when we needed to update our plans to get our C of O! Zach was responsive and helped our family get across the finish line!

Living Green Designs did a fantastic job. My front yard looks totally different and I get compliments all of the time. I had some ideas but with Mr. Garcias great input, it came out better than I could have imagined. The cost was definitely worth it. They took their time and made sure everything worked out as smoothly as possible.

Gary and Zach did a wonderful job reimagining and recreating our backyard ... especially with the limited space we have!! Now, we have a fantastic outdoor living area that we can use all year long! They are both true professionals and easy to work with. Great attention to detail. I highly recommend them for any landscaping design and construction job!!
