I always get my sod and crushed concrete fines from them. They are super accommodating and it helps it’s right by my house. The staff are great! Highly recommend this place.
Short: Our “screened” top soil delivery was $300. It has glass, knives, and rocks. We were refunded $150. If you go to a restaurant and receive a burger with glass in it, do you still have to pay for half of it? The delivery driver mentioned issues with delivery quality as he was dumping onto our driveway. The first day we find knives, glass, large rocks, sticks. We called reporting an issue and were told it would be totally resolved. The lady was very nice on that first call. Then, after conversing about refunds, the only choices from the company was to get a whole other load dumped in our driveway (but they won’t pick up the old one) or to get half a refund….. Since we didn’t need a whole other load of dirt dumped especially considering the quality AND that we had to move this dirt anyways since no one would pick it up, we decided to take the refund. Unfortunately I paid in cash so had no leverage with credit card chargebacks etc. they did not deliver the product we paid for. We had to go to the store and buy tools costing ~ $40 to screen the dirt ourselves. The one day project turned into several weekends long with the whole family having to screen out the unsafe glass (this was going into our yard where a toddler and dog run around…) We tried to remedy the situation by asking for a complimentary (equal value - $300) delivery of sod or a full refund since the product was unsellable but they would not agree. This would not have been something I would post about if we only had little rocks or sticks etc. The glass was a true safety issue and a huge pain to have in our driveway for weeks while we strained it out piece by piece. We still are finding pieces and my toddler even got some stuck in her foot. Picture of us straining the dirt with chicken wire and wheelbarrow. In that picture background, you can see the piles of small rocks strained from dirt by the trashcan by the garage. More pictures of the stuff we found just looking at the load that first day. We have MULTIPLE TRASHCANS FULL of rocks and glass that we cannot dispose of. We have to sort it for dumping since trash companies won’t even pick up rocks in the trash. Also would not have been upset if they would have picked up the load and just refunded the whole thing. I wish we never ordered from here.
Cypress Mulch and Sod is a fantastic company to do business with. The work they do is true physical labor and very demanding. Ron sincerely does his best to give his clients what they want at the most reasonable price possible. They go way above and beyond in pleasing their clients. They also repurposed items to help me save money and the resulting walkway turned out better and more safe than I could ever have imagined. Ron and Louis made my landscaping beautiful and healthy and I could not be happier with the results. I intend to have them come back as soon as possible to landscape other parts of my yard. Kelly was also extremely pleasant to deal with on the phone as well. I highly recommend this company to anybody with landscaping needs.
Good friendly staff. Had some sand mixed in with my load (Dump truck driver didn't clean his bed between loads) and they made it right with me. Second time using them for big projects (multiple truck loads) and both times great service. Recommended!
I needed white 🪨. I was going to get paver base, and she suggested the heavy duty linner. I was very please because I saved much in doing it that way. Thank you for your assistance. I highly recommend this place to go. Prices are very excellent for what I needed.

Paid $225 for 4 yards of mushroom compost including delivery charge. Driver dumped it and appears to be about 2 yards. Their "yard" is apparently a pretty small bucket. I could have gotten the same amount myself from Monterey Mushrooms for $20 - 40. If you have your own trailer, go get it yourself from Monterey and you will save a ton of money.
Not bad, not good. Didnt have what I wanted and gave me information that didnt hold up to all the research I did (because I actually did research on grass good for my area).

Just had a delivery today. Not only were they professional and courteous but the owner showed me how I did my math wrong and told me exactly how much soil I truly needed. Absolutely recommend them to everyone and I know Ill be back for my second load lol.

It is always a pleasure going to Cypress Mulch and Sod. If you have a truck always go there before the HomeDepot or Lowes. I just bought 5 pallets of sod and they are better and cheaper then Duda. They charge a fraction of the cost for delivery.
Great people great place from Grays painting and maintenance
Owner was extremely rude and nasty.....I purchased a small amount of Sod and I tried picking the pieces of sod that were together, the ones in good shape, not the ones torn, missing corners. The owner told me I couldnt do that and that I had to also choose his torn up pieces. When I told him I would no longer buy sod from him he said he didnt care and he would refund all my purchases and remove the fill dirt he had already loaded... ALL BECAUSE HE WANTED ME TO TAKE HIS TORN APART, SCREWED UP PIECES OF SOD. I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN. HES A RUDE, NASTY, DISRESPECTFUL, ARROGANT ....
Needing Paver Sand for my brick patio out back I called Cypress Mulch and Sod spoke with a woman who quoted me a price and delivery fee for a enough to cover 100 sq ft. ( more than what I needed ) called the next day to purchase and get delivered a man answered told me that they don t deliver that small and I can come pick it up I informed him that I was quoted for delivery the day before and was ready to pay. He became rude and said that I had talked to him and he didn t qoute me that I quickly responded that I spoke with a woman and hung up. Unprofessional, Inconsistent Quotes, and Bad Business..

The topsoil received appears to be very high quality and I will definitely be using cypress again as I believe this experience is not a common occurance. I scheduled and paid (over the phone by card, they also accept cash or check paid to the driver upon delivery as far as Im aware) for 6 yards of topsoil on a Friday and spoke to Kelly. We scheduled delivery for Monday between 8-9am. I called on Monday at 8:15am to make sure my delivery was on schedule and they seemed to have trouble finding the order because Kelly apparently didnt follow some procedure regarding the invoice. If I hadnt called, I wouldnt have gotten my delivery on time. I spoke to a man when I called on Monday and he was able to get my delivery made within the agreed upon time. Although, if I had not called, the delivery truck would have been on its way to another location and I wouldve had to wait significantly longer, or reschedule the delivery. Three stars for the man I spoke with on Monday being able to make my delivery happen on time, two stars off for Kelly not following procedure so I had to call to get my delivery to happen.
8/3/2022 - update: concerned about the pallet of sod received this time around; as it really looked dead from the top to the bottom with almost every piece breaking apart; my suggestion is to look at the sod prior to getting it delivered as the other pallet at their site did look somewhat better...hopefully it will grow in - and Ill update this update specially about that process; dropping one star - but its still a go to place for mulch and sod in the Tville area. Ive used this place a few times for dirt and rocks; however, they provided me with the best referral for sodding the yard. Greg Bell and cohort did an exceptional job prepping and laying 6 pallets of sod today. Great job and it good to have Cypress provide these referrals...nicely done

Called for topsoil delivery of 10 yards. Delivered same day within an hour. Delivery driver was able to drop it exactly as I asked. Delivery fee is high. I know it had been raised when gas prices jumped to $3+/ gallon but it seems like it could be reduced since gas prices are very low now. That would give my rating 5 stars.
I am leaving a 4 review because I do not put to much stock in 1 or 5 . However, I will tell you Kelly went out of her way today to insure she was able to help me. The service that was delivered was by far better than I expect.
The pallet of grass i bought was all over tje place. It wasnt stacked good at all. I called Cypress Mulch and they said there was nothing they could do about it. So i told her to call the company who stacks the grass and tell them to do a better job. Once again she said theres nothing i can do. So what Im telling you people BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!

They do have good prices. I am a DIY person. I have used the Compost. For any organic gardeners this is good stuff. I also use the pine bark mulch it keeps the weeds down pretty good.
My recent experience was horrible. When I called about a bobcat job and the delivery of dirt I was told Yes, we can do that just give us a weeks notice. When I called to schedule the job the owner answered and was very rude...said they could not do the job and when I suggested his staff be better educated on the jobs when a customer called...he hung up on me. I will never do business with this company again!
Poor experience. Owner (Buddy) spent great deal of time explaining how much integrity he had, but after a problem came up and 4 months of promises to come out and fix the problem he and his brother in law (who is a manager) never returned phone calls and never fixed the problem. You will probably be ok if nothing goes wrong, but beware that they wont keep their word if there is a problem, its all empty promises. Integrity has to do with keeping your word when its difficult, not just when youre getting paid. I would recommend finding another sod provider.
Cypress Mulch and Sods prices are very reasonable. If you catch them on a good day you can also get assistance loading pieces of sod. They have a good variety of sod and landscape materials.
