Brandon and every tech that comes are friendly and knowledgeable. Because of the different applications, our yard has never looked so good. Also we know we have a good deep grass carpet.

While the service is a little more expensive, the results and customer service have offset the expense. Our grass looks great and we also use the mole treatment. I haven t notice a single new mole track since the first application. Very happy with the service so far!

I also asked about Landscaping services and although they do not do it, Brande texted me for companies they Recommend. I had these numbers before we even hung up. Second Nature took great care of my lawn at our old house in Thompson s Station and always did a great job. When we moved to Columbia and bought our new house, our lawn was disgusting to say the least, weeds of every kind, some I had never even seen before and very little to no grass. Second Nature came out took a look and told me to be patient and they would get it into shape With a yearly service and seeding program, it got better every year just like they said. 3 years later I think I have the best yard in the neighborhood.

Service with Second Nature started out great several years ago but in the last 12-18 months, everything has slide in both lawn care, shrub care & reseeding. We have had a variety of many more weeds (minus dandelions) this Spring than we have ever had in years past. We are truly disappointed.

There is no way to do this company justice without the back story. Having tried trugreen, turfmasters and ultragreen over several years, the end result was a mostly dead lawn. In all seriousness, my lawn was a wreck. Adam had his hands full assessing my yard, but was honest and forthcoming about what expectations I should have. I appreciate honesty. He told me that it would get worse before it gets better. And it did. Fast forward to today. The second nature crew came and did a complete renovation to my lawn. Never having seen this done, I was amazed at the effort and attention to detail shown by Adam, Dakota and the whole crew as they renovated my lawn. What seemed impossible became truly possible right before my eyes. With a little water and some time, I can totally see my beautiful lawn coming back again! What makes second nature different than the rest? They actually care. They actually want to see your lawn flourish. They might not give you the answers you want to hear, but they wont lie to you either. Im a customer for life! Dont waste your time with the other guys. We were looking for a new irrigation provider and saw Second Nature trucks in our area so I called and ordered a spring-set up. The company showed up unannounced, gave us a lawn treatment instead and left an invoice. They didnt charge us for the treatment since we didnt order it. Because of how they handled that, we went ahead and hired them to lawn care also (weed control) thinking one-stop shop would be nice. I once again asked to be scheduled for the spring-set up. They came a couple of weeks later for the irrigation but testing showed leaky valves needed to replaced. So they turned off the system and said someone would come and repair right away and get us set up. I specified again that I also needed a quote for moving some sprinkler heads around. That was almost 4 weeks ago and multiple phone calls despite being told that since we were part of their annual program, we would get first priority for service. On Monday, I called again and was promised someone would be out by Wednesday. Today is Thursday. Sadly, Im left with writing a bad review and finding another company to fix my irrigation system.

We were actually provided with Second Natures name by our last service when advised they were not able to provide certain services. On my first call, Kathy answered the phone on the second ring and got the ball rolling with establishing an appointment for assessment of our lawn. We had a quote for services within a day, and the team member who came out walked the property to perform an assessment. Treatment started, and problem areas with the grass were improved after the first treatment. Then came time for an assessment of our sprinkler system, and Rachel handles that department. She was extremely attentive, professional, and timely with getting the assessment coordinated. The FINALLY moment came when Mack showed up. His knowledge of irrigation systems of evident when he ran the system (imagine that) and performed an assessment of sprinkler location, head types, and coverage. He offered a proposal which we immediately accepted, and within a few days he came back to perform the work. With a few head changes and a couple of heads removed, he was able to reduce the amount of water used and provide more coverage to our lawn and beds. Within a couple days, one of out zones was not working, and he came out and rebuilt one of the pumps to get the system operating again. This was just before the heat wave we had in late June, and he helped save multiple plants that would have otherwise not made it. He discovered that another zone was not working and tracked down the problem which, of course, he fixed the same day. So, if you want an expert who knows irrigation, has parts available with him, is able to diagnose and resolve problems correctly, Mack is your irrigation man. I realize this is a lengthy post, but all information is true and worth sharing.

I have used a lawn care service to treat weeds for many years, and I ve still had an abundance of weeds. Not anymore! I have seen a real difference with the services Second Nature Lawn Care provides. My yard has never looked better!

Great weed control...poor customer service. We use them for periodic treatments but when it came to aerating and seeding our lawn this fall they totally dropped the ball. Gave me an estimate for the whole yard...called and wanted an estimate for the front and back. They were so concerned with their numbers regarding square footage and price they apparently did the front and sides, stating that is the square footage I paid for. JUST LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMER. I really wanted to be home when they came based on the confusion of the receptionist but had an appointment. Didnt really see any plugs pulled up from the ground nor seed spread in bare spots. When they called to ask how my renovation went and if I wanted to spend more money to do the backyard I requested someone come out and show me exactly what I paid for in the first place. Was scheduled for the first stop of the day. At 10:30 I called, their explanation was because hes a manager hes all over the place, I was expected to understand that, and he would arrive after lunch.By 4:30 we assumed they just dont want our business, which they will find out today.

Id like to give a shout out to Production Manager Victor Perez. I had an incident surrounding my pesticide treatment and call the wonderful Melissa Garver to explain my issue. Well within 45 minutes Victor was at my door. We spoke about what had occurred and how I can do a few additional things to keep my lawn green. Regarding my problem, Victor stated it was unacceptable and would contact the technician to have him return. Victor waited around 1 hour for his tech to arrive and walked the yard with the tech to assure the process was completed properly. Ive been a customer of Second Nature for the past 4 years. Dependable, knowledgeable and affordable lawn care service. I have used other lawn care services in the past but have canceled due to either poor results or inconsistent service. Not a problem with Second Nature. Second Nature always notifies me the night before their arrival via phone message. Their technician, Carlos, walks my entire property as he carefully treats each problem area of my lawn. He always leaves a detailed report of what he found along with recommendations for follow-up treatment. Second Nature is simply the BEST. Over the years, we have used several companies - including the national brands with frankly, poor results. What a difference we have seen over the past 3+ years with Second Nature! Our fescue is deep and green, and performs much better in the heat of the summer, our trees have grown at an incredible rate since beginning the tree program and all are very healthy. I strongly recommend them to anyone!!

Reached out to the company to see about having a sprinkler system installed. I guess our business was not needed because after repeated emails and 3 weeks no one ever contacted us. Will be sure to pass this along to anyone we speak with that is looking for lawn care services.

It started off great. Our front yard was much greener and had less weeds. Our backyard never looked as green and constantly had weeds that I kept having to address with the company though, especially along our fence line. I also thought that each time they came out, they could have taken more effort and spent more time doing their job as if it were their own yard, instead of spraying as fast as they could and disappearing like ninjas into the night. On numerous occasions, I had to call them to come back out and respray because the weeds werent going away in the backyard. Recently though, something changed and we started noticing large clumps of crabgrass and Dallisgrass everywhere, both in our front yard and in our backyard. They just started appearing out of nowhere and kept getting bigger and bigger. The last tech who came out to respray a few weeks ago mentioned in his text after he left that it was going to be hard to kill the large clumps of the crabgrass and Dallisgrass everywhere because of their size. Umm, wasnt that their job!? Did I mistakenly think that I had been paying them a lot of money to avoid getting them in my yard at all, let alone having them get to the huge size?? We had used Second Nature for just over a year, and our yard looks horrible now! There are so many dead spots everywhere now, from what used to be our green and healthy grass, because the crabgrass and Dallisgrass are just thriving away and getting larger as I type this. :( Im very disappointed in this company and cancelled future services. Definitely avoid this company.

I started working with Second Nature based off recommendations from people I knew when I moved to the area. Initially as was well until they serviced my lawn in the middle of January when my ground temperature was a paltry 42 degrees which many of you will find is far too cold for pre-emergents. I was not notified prior to them servicing my yard or I would have told them not to apply yet. Once I found out, I reached out to the office and the receptionist had management reach out to me directly. The gentleman (and I use that term loosely) was incredibly rude and condescending and treated me like I was personally slighting him by addressing these concerns. I will not do business with people who are rude and unprofessional so I cancelled my services and let them know I would not be paying for a service that was completed when it was far too cold to be effective and was only to give them something to bill me for. That was the last I heard from them and had every intention of leaving it at that until 6 months later I got a call from a collections company. I filed a complaint with the BBB and clearly got the written response (more than two months later) from the same person who I spoke to initially. They proceeded to say that I had not reached out to the office and that some people have to handle things in their own special way. If I could give this company LESS than one star I would. There are so many lawn care companies in the area, it is not worth working with ones who treat you like garbage and their service is padded and overpriced. And as another side note, the two people I knew who recommended them have also since cancelled their services due to the same issues. And to Second Nature, I had no intention of taking this review any further until I read your response from the BBB so now I will tell everyone I see to stay away from your company. It is very obvious that you dont care about that, but, lets be honest, you should....

Nashville s best kept secret and Lawn Care Second Nature Lawn Care. I needed to kill off the weeds in my yard and replant w tolerant thin blade fescue. My challenge was it was September and I had NO plan. Called many companies, 2 weeks to come out and half didn t show, then 2 additional weeks for service. I then called Second Nature. They were different and helped immediately, especially given what needed to happen, first kill the entire lawn made up of weeds, then replant 2 weeks later. It was amazing ..and they followed up with two additional service calls for weeds and additional seeding. I have a NEW grass yard thanks to Second Nature. The service, follow up and people are amazing, so much, that I am now on their very reasonable yearly maintenance program. Thank you, Second Nature. Brian C

Had another well known company and my lawn was a mess, filled with chickweed and crabgrass from the company missing the pre emergent application. Second nature took it over in the summer and transformed my lawn! They did some work in the fall with aeration and over seeded with winter rye and it looked beautiful through the winter and gorgeous this spring! Couldnt be happier!

We have been using Second Nature for a number of years - Im thinking maybe 8. Each year our lawn has looked better - green and healthy. They also treat our trees and ornamental shrubs and plants and those look outstanding as well. This year (2019) our flowering fruit trees just burst into bloom and stayed blooming for several weeks. Our yard is a showcase! On the rare occasions where Ive notices a problem, they are very responsive and always want to make the situation right, which they always have. Yesterday, the Second Nature Lawn Co. gentleman came to spray all of our trees, and shrubs. I told him of my concern that my neighbors yard, and the common area had Creeping Charlie weed. And, would he please pass on to the man who sprayed our yard to address this. Today, Josiah, and Justin came, and talked with me re: this weed issue! Not two weeks from now! Today! Justin did a fabulous job, spraying our entire yard! Josiah spent time explaining to me what the different sprays take care of! I highly recommend this company! I called Second Nature to determine if my lawn had a fungus problem. Two employees came by and advised me that I had drought related stress and no fungus. One employee, Josiah, advised that my lawn needed water very badly and quickly. I explained that my sprinkler system was not yet functional for the season. Josiah thought the delay would further damage my lawn and set up my system during his visit. I was very impressed with his service, as he went above and beyond his scope of duty and wanted to ensure my lawn would recover. Josiah was very professional, but mostly he cared about my issue and fixed the problem immediately. He provided exceptional customer service and is to be commended for it.

I now have the best lawn on the block.....and I have a very grass savvy block. My lawn is so good people are coming up to me asking how we do it. Our neighbor across the street requested an estimate from them. I have hired and fired at least a half a dozen lawn companies over the years. Not doing that to these guys. They probably arent the cheapest, but they are clearly the best! .......ok, we are now a year after I wrote the review and the situation just gets better and better. My lawn is the envy of the neighborhood. I get asked about it all the time.

I have been using Second Nature for 3 seasons now. The first year ,I had a bad fungus problem that pretty much wiped out my lawn. I got on their anti-fungal program. Looks like we have it under control this year. My lawn came back from aerating and seeding it last Fall. My lawn looks the best it has in 3 years now. Very satisfied with their service.

I paid another company to have a new lawn completely done, they failed miserably. When Josiah A. of Second Nature Lawn Care and the people under him coordinated the process of prepping my yard correctly the result was a beautiful lawn. I intend to use their services to keep it that way.

We have used Second Nature for several years and the lawn really looked good. Unfortunately, I had to stop using them due to their inflexible scheduling process. Having 2-large dogs, we need work from home on days that they come so that we can bring the dogs in prior to the lawn tech showing up. Unfortunately, Second Nature claims that they are only able to schedule the afternoon before (generally around 2:00 pm) they come out. I asked for 48-hour notice so that I could arrange to work from home. They said they could not accommodate that request, primarily due to weather. I informed them that all of the other service providers that I use that are dependent on the weather (Pest Control, Heating & Air Conditioning) are able to schedule in advance, they still insisted that they could not. Obvious they could if they chose to...they just choose not to. You have to be easy to do business if you want to be a really good or great company. A call to the owner of Second Nature asking him to call and discuss was not returned.

Rarely do you get what you pay for anymore. That s just the simple truth. My yard was in a mess and I had been looking at reviews for a lawn care service when these guys knocked on my door. Forgive me but I have forgotten the salesman s name who visited. This guy and I talked for at least a half an hour. He promised me his guys could turn my yard around in a year. To be honest, I didn t believe him but at the price he gave me I thought I d just find out. I simply couldn t believe what my yard looked like after a year. I m now on year 3 and my yard is near perfect. It looks like a Major League Baseball field. It s easily one of, if not the best yards in my subdivision. I truly couldn t be happier. Now I have others knocking on my door promising me the same at a cheaper price but that s not how I do business. These guys saved my yard as promised and they will continue to have my business as long as I m here. I recommend these guys to friends all the time. I don t get paid and I don t even send in for the $50 referral fee...I m just happy to do it. These guys are the real deal and if you need help keeping your lawn looking great, as I did, you won t be disappointed.

As any homeowner knows, it can be hard to find trustworthy vendors who provide reliable service at an affordable price. Second Nature has been handling my lawn care for several years now - they do an excellent job & my lawn is thriving! There are customer service wrinkles from time to time, but Im a happy customer overall.

Initially, Second Nature was providing a valuable service for our lawn. We received an aggressive aeration and seeding in the fall. We followed all of the service instructions and when spring arrived, our initial growth was beautiful, however, several bald spots still existed, which we tended to with the leftover seed and directions provided to us by Second Nature. The lawn has since developed dead spots and now has all but died out. We have watered and cut according to the directions Second Nature provided. My wife and I tried numerous times to reach out to Second Nature in order to rectify this problem (prior to the level of dead spots now) and each time we were told that someone would contact us shortly, but alas, this never happened. When someone did finally come out, we never received any follow up and were then told that person left the company, and still no one addressed our concerns or our issue. I did receive a call yesterday to inquire about purchasing some additional services this fall. I informed the salesman of the aforementioned issues and that someone needed to contact my wife immediately to resolve this. 24 hours later and still no return call. I am cancelling services today and would not recommend Second Nature to anyone.

Per the last visit you made to my house I was supposed to receive a call from a manager regarding the poor service and a month later, I am still waiting. I told your technician that we did not want your service, he agreed that the yard looked terrible, and apologized. He stated that he would make sure someone called us.. But, I feel compelled to keep others from making the mistake my husband and I made. If I could give this company zero stars, I would. We started with this company a year ago by by spending thousands of dollars installing irrigation, aerating, seeding, and using other renovation services. In the fall and early spring, our grass was beautiful. As spring began to turn to summer, brown/dead spots began to crop up. Given the amount of money and hard work we had put into our lawn, we called immediately. We kept receiving calls that a technician would be out to service our yard with fungicide and weed control the following day. No one would ever show. After a week of this, I called and was told that they had cancelled due to weather (and no one thought to inform us). Someone finally came to service our yard. After 2 weeks I called back, as instructed, as our grass continued to look worse. Again, it was a vicious cycle of calls with no sign of a techinician. Someone finally came back to spray fungicide and weed killer again at no charge, but to no avail. We now have nothing but weeds in our backyard, despite re seeding, and the front yard is clinging to life. I am most disappointed with the lack of customer service. We will not be using this company again in the fall and I implore others to beware. Do not waste your hard earned money with this company.

We switched to Second Nature about three years ago after observing their work on some of our neighbors yards. They have done a great job for us. They are polite, professional and come back quickly if needed for follow-up treatments. We were previously with a large national company for many years and just didn t get the service we expected. Second Nature is local and has to earn their keep every day. I m not sure what happened with some of the other reviewers, but our experience has been excellent.

We have used second Nature lawn care for several years now and could not be happier with the results as our yard has never looked better! The technicians are always friendly and polite. More than that THEY ARE KNOWLEDGEABLE! 18 months of their service and lawn still looks crappy. Lawn guy told me to have it aerated and seeded in October. Called to get the aeration and seeding done and now told its past the time to do it.

Second Nature has been making my lawn the envy of my neighbors for years. Ive had great and consistent service. Ive had several neighbors start using them since I got on with them. It takes a commitment to one system consistently before you can see lasting results. Ive stayed with them and not bounced around. I recommend them to everyone I can.

Im recovering from shingles and can only remove leaves a little at a time. Today the workman came saw what needed to be done and cleared by lawn of leaves. I cannot express my thanks enough for the extra step that was provided today.

I used Second Nature at my home in McKays Mill and am using them again here in my new neighborhood. My yard was lovely in McKays Mill and my new yard looks spectacular this spring; they have been attentive to my needs, which included an outbreak of brown fungus last summer. I even decided to use them to tend to manage my irrigation system, which they have done wonderfully. I could not be more pleased.

We used True Green for one season before firing them for no shows, burning our grass, etc. Second Nature has helped us build a beautiful yard. They show up when they say, the techs are friendly and professional. We are very happy with Second Nature.

I really hoped for the best. The initial seeding went beautifully. However, after a brown patch recently appeared and got much worse, I cannot recommend this service. The unresponsiveness to our calls is disappointing. We tried a few times and had to chase down the company to find out what was going on with our lawn. Within two weeks until they finally came back out to put down a fungicide, the damage was complete. We were told, Its not our fault. Ok, but I expected help sooner. We paid Second Nature and trusted them with servicing our lawn. Now we have a lawn out front that looks worse than when we did nothing at all. To be clear: the initial servicing was great. Its the lack of follow through and response from the time we initially reported the brown patch that I have issue with.

We dont use SNLC for lawn care, but due to an accident we recently worked with the owner. He was extremely quick to address the situation and take care of it to our satisfaction. He was very responsive and accommodating. If they run the rest of their business the way that they handled our situation, I would highly recommend them.

I had hopes that Second Nature would live up to expectations, but they have not. My lawn did not have the dark green look that it had when I was treating it. Crabgrass started in July and spread badly. I had weeds of all kinds throughout the summer. They never did get them under control. In August, the lawn developed brown patch, which never was pointed out in their post treatment analysis. Just the usual reporting of crabgrass and weeds. When I did request an on site visit, it took 8 to 10 days for someone to come out. I asked for specific times, such as after 2:00 PM, and apparently those requests were not passed on to the person visiting. Although my concerns were confirmed during the visit, the condition of the lawn was not improved. I found it a bit odd that they did not send someone out that could analyze the problem and do a treatment that day. It had to be scheduled subsequently. Which also took another week. This happened twice. After stopping the service, I received more attention than while I was a customer. Phone calls, emails, etc. trying to get me to return as a customer. Not offering any solutions or a plan to restore my lawn. I do not know where they got the pictures of the lawns on their website. Mine looks like the before photos. Also, they are the most expensive of the services that I have tried. Their quote for aerating and over seeding was ridiculous.

I hired the company to do seasonal treatments (winter) but it looked worse in the spring then when I did it myself (for a lot cheaper). When I called them to cancel, they kept treating and sending bills. After a YEAR of this they told me that I never canceled in writing (ignore the numerous phone calls and face to face talks with their techs). Id stay away and do it yourself with Home Depot or Lowes products. I have PICS if anyone is interested in further research.

Second Nature came highly recommended to us, and we started treatments in the early Spring. Are yard was in pretty bad shape to start with, and the staff was very personable and friendly in coming up with a plan that was unique to are yards needs. After one treatment, there is already improvement, and we are very excited to see what the final outcome will be. There products are specifically designed for middle Tennessee grass and climate. I hired the Second Nature Lawn Care team to do turf fertilization and weed control at our home in Spring Hill Tn. The first year our yard looked amazing, the past year hasnt yielded the same results. I have more dead areas in my yard than I did with no lawn care maintenance program. I Personally know Wade Walden one of the owners and he is a stand up guy. Unfortunately, after several unreturned phone calls to address the issue. My wife and I have decided to go with another company next year to try and bring our yard back to life. Personally they are great people, however If Im paying you well, I expect results.
