We hired Woodlands Escapes to redo our front yard flower beds. Leo was wonderful to work with. It took a bit of time between the quote and the work beginning (he’s a busy guy plus it’s been rainy this summer) but once he was able to schedule his crew, the yard came together in three days. He planted native plants that will come back year after year. I can’t wait to see what it looks like as the plants mature and begin to fill in. Leo was here every day that work was being done and I appreciated his hands on approach.
We had a wonderful and highly educational experience with Leo. He was on site every step of the way, provided us with detailed plans, loads of native plant knowlege, and he even came back to check on how well the plants were holding up.

Leo and his team recently completed a complete yard design makeover in March of 2022. Leo is incredibly knowledgeable and gave me a thorough analysis of my yards current condition and what improvements could be made to enhance the look and health of the yard. It took him about a week to get a quote and team lined up. This was a sizeable job and the team assigned reflected this. A swarm of workers showed up on a Friday and completed the entire job in less than a day. I was amazed. We had a light freeze right after the job was completed but the plants Leo used were all hardy varieties purposely used due for their ability to survive the wild fluctuations in Texas weather. Now that things have settled in for a month or so, the yard is flourishing and looks great. I would highly recommend Woodlands Escapes for your small or large landscaping needs.
I cannot say enough good things about this company. We purchased a new home with a bland backyard consisting of just two trees. Leo turned it into a sanctuary for us to sit, relax and enjoy. I asked him to install trees, vines, shrubs and flowers that were native and hardy and I wouldn't have to do a lot of maintenance. He not only did this but planned to have seasonal colors (and scents) emerge throughout the year, provided privacy from the house being built next door, installed drainage so that my yard would not flood, and added some ambiance by adding a beautiful walkway throughout the yard. He looked at every detail considering things I had not thought of such as how to create a path so that I could take off the spa cover without stepping on plants and mow the yard in a continuous path, again without disturbing the plants. The original builder had, as is typical, put shrubs in the front that look good for the first year but are quickly overgrown or inappropriate for a front yard. Leo removed these but rather than getting rid of them, he put them in various locations in the back or side yard to save money and not waste the plants. Even after Leo received his final payment, he returned to the house to make sure the sprinkler system was watering appropriately and all of the plants were taking hold. I plan to use Leo to maintain my yard going forward and highly recommend his business without reservation. A gem.
Woodlands Escapes has been fantastic. Leo and his team took our vision for the yard and flower beds and created an action plan to get it all up to speed over the last few months, and the work has been awesome. Their promises were pretty high to begin with and they continue to overdeliver at every stage, we truly couldn't be happier with our decision to work with them.

When my normal lawn service fell through for the final time after eviscerating my lawn and breaking my sprinkler system, I turned to woodlands escapes and they got my yard inspection ready in a short turn around for my wife and my gender reveal.
Quick, and great work. Woodlands Escapes came through for me, and I highly recommend them.
They shot a huge rock out of their mower and badly damaged my vehicle parked on the street at a home across from a yard they were mowing. They left the scene without telling me (I was inside the home). I asked the crew the next week on site and they brushed me off and told me to contact the office which I did and now they wont contact me back to address the situation or even offer any apology. Very unprofessional of them for not owning up to and ignoring one of the liabilities of their industry.
Careless and destructive, are the words to describe Woodlands Escapes. They killed at least five of my plants and destroyed a planter, broke my fence gate and ruined my lawn. They pruned two more plants which I had explicitly said to leave alone, in writing. Pruning where they were actually meant to was lazy, often only touching one side of plants and forgetting about the rest. They deliberately killed a huge patch of some of my healthiest grass. When I asked Leo about it, he said he the workers thought the grass was a patch of weeds. I cannot fathom how a lawn care company can mistake a healthy lawn, which looked just like the rest of my lawn, for a patch of weeds. One week I came home to find one of the hinges to my fence gate ripped apart. Apparently I had forgotten to unlock the gate, and so they broke their way in. Since they never said anything about it, I only know what happened because of security camera footage. I talked to Leo about it and he promised to have it fixed by the end of the week. That was more than a year ago. My grave mistake was talking to him on the phone rather than getting the promise in writing. Luckily I was able to repair or replace most of the damage after firing them. Before all the damage had been done, we had wanted to improve water drainage and asked Woodlands Escapes for a quote, as well as two other companies. Through another company, we were able to have the work scouted and completed before Donna even responded to my email. When she did, she quoted me at almost three times more than the actual work was done for. On top of all this, Donna is an absolute nightmare to attempt to communicate with. She doesnt listen, never responds in a timely manner, treated me rudely and constantly got confused about what we were even talking about. She made it very difficult to cancel service, but doing so was a fantastic decision. I would never advise working with Leo or his companies again, and have warned everyone I know against them as well.
Leo and team recently replaced the flowers and mulch in our yard. They did a great job and were super knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their landscaping.
Highly impressed with Leos depth and breadth of knowledge on initial consultation. Offered a tailored artistic display. The entire team was , energetic and conscientious. Terrific result - not just the same old Woodlands shrubberies, but a variety of plants with spring, summer, and fall blooming.

Leo is very creative on the project design and offers his extensive insight and knowledge for optimal plant selection. We have used Woodlands Escapes for several years. Besides our monthly yard preventative maintenance, we also use them for our quarterly seasonal sprucing up. We always do a good walk around and Leo gives us great suggestions for color, landscape options and also provides expert remedies as needed when yard issues arise. The pricing is reasonable and he only uses the highest quality of plants and flowers. I highly recommend!
Leo and the team did a fantastic overhaul of my backyard. Beautiful hibiscus bushes, hydrangeas and azaleas. I love the pops of color. Highly recommend.
I want to thank Leo for being so patient with all my questions. He answered them with obvious knowledge of landscaping for this part of Texas. He and his team made my backyard as well as front yard look beautiful. I will certainly call Woodlands Escapes for my lawn needs in the future.
Our family is new to Texas and the different plants that thrive in this climate. Our home had decent landscaping but many bushes and had overgrown or were simply not thriving in the location they were placed. I also had no color or variety in foliage or flowers. With Leo s knowledge and eye he removed the overgrowth and added color and variety that truly transformed the overall look. His crew did an amazing job and I plan on continuing to use them for weekly maintenance.
These guys did an AWESOME JOB trimming our bushes, removing mulch, putting fabric down and bullrock in the flower beds. I highly recommend them.

Leo and his crew did a great job on freshening up my flower beds with mulch and clean up. I am prepping house for listing and they were out within a few days of the bid to do the work. I am hiring Woodlands Escape to also take care of the weekly mowing and yard maintenance.
Leo and his crew are amazing! They came and gave me a same day quote for a project I thought I could handle myself (but couldnt!) and they nailed it! Ive already began the process for getting them back out here for my next landscaping project. I dont write many reviews, but these guys earned it! These guys take care of my Grandparents property. Now my grandparents have a green thumb and love their lawns. Its very important them. They are getting old and decide it was time to let someone else do the work. I came down to visit them one weekend, out of the blue. I pulled up to the driveway and had to check the numbers on the house to make sure I was at the right place!! AMAZING work guys!!!
