we had trees down on and around our house from Heline. Serious roof and interior house damage. Huge red oak went down with rootball pulling up fence and gate. Long wait as expected with our need not as serious as others. When our service date arrived so did Schneiders professional staff. Did a terrific job clearing the roof upper deck and yard of downed trees and limbs. Have been years long customers of schneiders and wouldnt trust anyone else. They were well worth the wait.

Scott Carlson came out to evaluate an old large oak tree limb in the middle of our shade garden. We were concerned that it was likely that his huge limb with a crack could possible break and fall and do major damage to our fairly new deck, fire pit and huge Magnolia tree. Scott agreed, and we are booked for removal next day. This was a drive by appointment so hard to check all the blocks at this time.

Overall the work was good. I had a few flowers trampled but they probably couldnt help it or didnt realize they werent weeds. And there were a few small dead branches that I was surprised they didnt get when cutting larger wood in that area. The crew was polite and I appreciated that. Overall a good job.

OUTSTANDING TECHNICIAN VERY PERSONABLE EFFICIENT AND KIND

I was referred to Schneider by another tree company in the area who said I needed an Arborist. Caleb arrived promptly and was so generous with his time. It is really obvious when someone loves what they do and Caleb loves trees. He walked the property, answered every question I could think of, and gave me tons of tips. The reason I brought him out ended up being a lack of understanding on my part about a normal thing in two of my Chinese elms. Caleb let me know about a range of services that could benefit my yard but it felt like his priority was education rather than forcing a sale. To me this goes a huge way towards building trust. I absolutely will call Schneider again for any tree needs going forward. The really seem to care about their work and are very honest about what you need. 10/10 recommend.

I m extremely pleased with the service and advice from Brett at Schneider Tree. He evaluated and recommended a treatment plan for a distressed tree last year. He offered to provide the treatment, and he provided specific instructions so I could do it myself if I preferred. It worked! The tree has recovered. He came again this year to evaluate different trees that are in distress. He provided clear and comprehensive information on the issues and let me that know that no action was needed because the trees would recover. He also evaluated some trees I was concerned about on HOA property adjacent to our lot. He let me know which trees might cause an issue and which were not so concerning. I really appreciate how he explained information in the broader context of the habitat, our specific area and land in an easy to understand manner. The shrubs and especially the crape myrtles have never looked better. This is not the cheapest option, but certainly the most effective. Jon Hodge did a great job applying nutrients this last time.

Arborist Scott Carlson from Schneiders was here within MINUTES after I called this morning to deal with a 60 Oak that was hit by lightning last night and fell on my roof. He did emergency repairs to mitigate water damage and plans to be here tomorrow morning (when the rain stops) with a crew to begin the process of removal.I only gave a 5 Star rating because 10 was not an option.

Most recently, they did a great job trimming some trees, removing a cherry tree and grinding the stump, and doing a light prune on a legacy magnolia tree. Our arborist, Caleb, is amazing! He took his time to access our trees and shrubs. Thoroughly explained our options and wrote up our order for the nutrient treatments for the year and the removal of two Bradford pear trees. We called him back too discuss pruning of our other trees. Again thorough and full explanations, were combining the pruning with the removal. Its reassuring having an arborist to turn to. The technicians performing our first treatment took their time. This is a company that is doing it right. Very pleased. Competitive pricing, no salesy nonsense at the consultation, showed up when they said they would, left my landscape (including many delicate plants around the working areas) exactly as they found it. I live in a neighborhood with a VERY mature tree situation, so have had plenty of experience with tree companies and I wish I had called Schneider from the beginning. Finally, from my experience, here is a tip when you are getting quotes for tree work. If the person that comes to quote your job arrives in a lifted, tricked-out pickup truck, send him on his way. ;)

Hired Schneider Tree Care to remove a partially dead tree in my rear lawn near a fence. The team arrived with all the professional equipment needed to get the job done safely and effectively. They cut off the overhanging limbs with care and only used rubber track cherry picker and bobcat to come on my vulnerable lawn. Did great job and cleaned up all debris before leaving. Top notch crew. Highly recommend for any needed tree trimming or removal.

My father s house was hit by a four story white oak tree in his back yard during the storm Tuesday night! The tree, estimated to be 35,000 pounds, struck the center of the house! Schneider Tree Care came out early Wednesday morning! The went to work immediately! Brent Patrick, Arborist, was such an amazing comfort! His team came out and I can not brag enough about the amazing work we witnessed! Tony, Shawn, and Kevin worked especially hard for two days removing this massive tree. They were extra kind to my parents and took excellent care of their yard as they worked. When finished, they cleaned up everything!!! Such a miracle! I would RECOMMEND them any time. I always use them for tree removal. The tree were removed within a week. The removal was smooth. I also recommend their boxelder bugs removal. Their arborist, John, is awesome! They injected some kind of chemical into the tree. The bugs gone in less than a week. We have exterminator to spray the house, and Schneider to take care the tree. (Exterminator doesn t take care bugs on a tree, but Schneider arborist can do that job). Thanks to you all!

They did exactly what I wanted with pruning several trees. Took care of bad limbs and were able to keep shade in the yard. Minimal damage to grass. No damage to structures or other plants in yard. Nice workers. Good listeners. Able to answer questions. Efficient. Conscientious about property. Price was reasonable. I would use them again.

This was our second time using Schneider Tree Care. They are very efficient, safe and courteous. When the job is finished, they clean everything up.

Our tree care crew (Tony, Matt & Steve) we re absolutely fantastic. First, they were on time (5 mins early! 7:55 AM) and second, Tony & Matt greeted us upon arrival with a handshake & a smile. Steve soon followed and arrived with a cherry picker lift. The crew was worked in tandem and did not even take a break. After the work was completed Steve walked us through the project and asked if we had additional questions or something that needed attention. The work was completed in a timely manner and our 1/2 acres property was left SUPER CLEAN! WELL DONE Schneider tree care!

After consulting with arborist, Jay, we were pleased to be able to keep our tree. Jay recommend options for the surface roots as well as nutrients for other trees on the property. We had a tree come down on our detached garage after a big storm. We called Schneider the following day and they sent an arborist out the following morning to look over the tree and make recommendations. They sent a work crew the following morning and later that day they had the tree off the roof and the entire large tree cut down, hauled away, and work area cleaned up. We plan to have them back to remove several dead trees from our yard.

All the guys are properly trained and workmanship was expertly performed with thoughtful execution. The crew of about 5 were all engaged and needed no supervision so they made my day! These guys transformed my yard into a wonderful vision and I recommend 100%

I have been using Schneider for over 15 years. We have a very wooded lot in Downtown Greenville area and Schneider helps us keep our trees healthy and helps us manage our tree limbs to keep our home shaded and safe. Over the years Schneider has been responsive to both emergency situations as well as routine tasks. Just today they help us limb up some trees and remove some dead branches. The crew today was courteous, worked safely and professionally, and cleaned up after themselves when done.

GVL Team 3 came out to remove a large white oak hanging over our house. They were on time and communicated clearly when they got here and when they left. They stacked the logs too large to be chipped exactly where I asked and left the wood chips in a convenient spot for me to spread. I have always had a positive experience with this company, but this team was exceptional. If I was their boss, Id probably give them a huge bonus ;).

This is the second time Schneider Tree Care has come out and pruned this particular huge oak tree. This tree provides the shade to our shade garden and surrounding area in our backyard. It would change the whole scope of our yard if it had to be removed. Crew 2 came out and handled our project in a very professional manner. They were on time, courteous, answered my questions and took pride in cleaning up during and after the tree pruning. They had to have access to my neighbors driveway during part of the process to eliminate unsafe limbs hanging over her garage and driveway where her numerous grandchildren play. She was also pleased with the service they provided and cleanup in her yard. One thing I noticed in particular regarding this crew, is that they took every safety precaution I could imagine before, during and after this project. Since my husband and I are small business owners, we are always concerned in that regard for our employees, and this stood out with Crew 2 and Schneider Tree Care. Trees are an investment, and we feel we received the value for which we paid. Especially after my concern about a particular limb was addressed with one of the crew on the ground and then the crew member up in the tree. He took photos and sent to our Arborist from Schneider Tree Care, Scott Carlson. Scott had them return late afternoon and remove that limb also. That REALLY impressed myself and my husband. It was not a simple task getting into our backyard to get to this tree, and doing it twice in one day; well that is above and beyond what we expected. We are so glad they did! Service is good and they re very responsive. Unfortunately the timing of when they show up for appointments is not always clearly communicated nor is the work order content. It may be in their online system but I don t always check the online system.

When I realized that I had crêpe myrtle bark scale, I freaked out. I love my crêpe myrtle tree, and I do not want to lose it. When I called, they had someone working in my area that very day, so within a couple hours, I knew my diagnosis was correct and that there is a cure. I know service won t be that fast all the time, and maybe even never again, but they re saving my tree, and they certainly did a lot for my blood pressure. I absolutely recommend this company.

Tree removal was great and so efficient. The follow-up stump grinding was less successful. The associate ground the stump and cut our internet line despite the utility being clearly marked without even announcing his arrival. I work from home, so this was an undesirable surprise outcome yet, I was still charged a full $250 for stump grinding, imagine that!

Over the years we have used Schneider Tree Services for tree and shrub trimming and fertilization of large trees. Recently, we have had the pleasure of hiring Schneider Tree Services, Charlotte branch, again for extensive tree removal on our property. From Chris Green, arborist, who came to assess and give an estimate to Cole, the team leader, and his crew it was an exceptional experience. Cole explained to us what he and his crew had planned for each day . They worked so well together, showing respect for each other as they worked. I was highly impressed with Coles expertise as he downed the large trees with precision. A sight to behold! On the last day, a new employee was part of his crew and he took the time to explain what, why and how the work was done. The whole crew were very efficient in the cleanup of the property afterward. They took great care in leaving the area clean. I have never been disappointed in Schneider Tree Services. Everyone I have encountered has been kind, respectful and knowledgeable. Schneider Tree Care removed 3 very large trees from my property. The quote was very detailed and the work performed was top notch. I even referred my Grandma to them years later and after they heard they sent me a free coffee cup. Score! Attached photo is 1 year later after a huge Crape Myrtle was removed. It s like it never even existed.

A friend referred Schneider when I needed a large tree in my yard trimmed. They came out right away to give me an estimate and got me on the schedule promptly. They showed up on time, explained what they were going to do, knocked the job out quickly, and did a great job of cleaning up afterward. Cole, Rico, and Daquan were very professional and friendly. I needed to have a large tree removed from a small lot without damaging my house or any of the adjacent neighbors houses or fences. I have used the company twice before in the past 20+ years for removal of large dying trees. Based on my most recent experience, they are maintaining their quality of service. The person sent for the estimate process verified the tree could not be saved and my request for service was added to their calendar. They arrived on the scheduled day and completed the removal of the tree within the time specified. They brought a lift onto the lot for their technicians safety during the tree removal. They also brought a Bobcat for moving the wood and a large wood chipper for disposal of the wood after confirming with me that I didnt want to keep any of the wood. They cleaned up the area after completing the removal. The tree stump was ground up 2 business days later, and again, the procedure was completed quickly and the area was cleaned up before the technicians left. In all three visits the personnel were professional and polite. I recommend Schneider TreeCare to anyone needing a tree specialist, especially for large trees requiring special equipment.

I would like to highly recommend Schneider Tree Care-Taylors. In November we had 11 large trees cut down in a small space. We had a small rocky start to the morning and the young man named Bill that was handling our project was contacted and he immediately went to work to correct the situation. It was worked out and Bill was really nice and kept in touch with us until it was completely finished. The men doing the work did a great job and cleaned up the area when they finished. This company stands 100% behind their customers and takes pride in the job they do. We will use them again in the future and I suggest you check them out for your next big job. Fantastic experience from quoting to actual work completion. We had detailed requests for the trimming and pruning of our large water oak and the crew accommodated all of them. We were shown pictures of areas of concern and allowed to decide what next steps we wanted them to take with their feedback on the stability of the limbs. Our tree looks healthy and balanced again and our yard was cleaner after they left than when they arrived. They were not the cheapest quote we received but they were worth the additional cost when all was said and done. Highly recommend!

Very professional analysis and proposal for handling boxwood health issues

From cabling a multi-branched hardwood to cleaning up major storm damage and everything in-between Schneiders has preformed admirably.(The cabled tree has withstood numerous weather assaults with no resulting damage!) The men doing the tree work are artists. Discussing work with an arborist before work begins has been the biggest part of their service. Sometimes the end result of the discussion is to do nothing. Thats a valuable service too. Oh, and the arborists discussions have served as an arbiter of marriage disputes!

The work is yet to be completed due to backlog. However, the arborist was very in-depth when explaining the problems with my trees and the steps that will be taken to correct the situations.

Evaluation of tree health by arborist

I learned more about my own trees in an hour of talking to Jay than I d known in 16 years in this house. His passion for his work was obvious and he talked of our trees and shrubs like patients to be cared for, not objects. I held out a star because we haven t had the work done yet, but so far I m really comfortable knowing Jay is on our team!

Jay came by to evaluate a plant problem but it was decided we were doing the correct things, but we reviewed two trees that need to be removed and we told him we would call in a few weeks to have them removed. We currently have you spray our hemlocks and they are doing very well. Good service!

John came out to look at a flowering crabapple tree that was loosing its leaves. He was very professional, and I highly recommend this company.

This was my second experience with Schneider. They came out and removed two very large trees between my house and a the neighbors. The work was done quickly and efficiently in a few hours. They cleaned up the site and the stumps were ground out. Schneider will always be my go to tree service company.

Wes and his team were great. The price was right, they had a cancelation and were able to get to me early! The work looks fantastic and the gentlemen that I dealt with were just that; Gentlemen. Courteous, professional and timely. I even threw additional work at them the day of arrival and they were able to meet my last minute needs! I will be using them again, when needed and suggest you do too!

After a terrible experience with another tree company, we called Schneider Tree Care. Kris Monroe came out to assess. He was very nice and gave us a reasonable price for such a large project. The removal crew was amazing and professional. This was a huge (over 100 feet tall) sycamore that was over our house and garage. It had some very large dead areas in it that were going to be unpredictable during the removal. Michael and Ray were incredibly cautious, even consulting with their safety guy, Omar, on the trickier branches. Everything landed exactly where they planned for it to land. Not one branch or limb hit our roof. Jackson and Chad were great as well, assisting with ropes and leaving everything neat and clean. After two full days of a removal, we now have a beautiful historic stump that I plan to preserve. Michael even used a level to get it perfect for us. Cant thank them enough for such a great job! These guys are sharp. Everyone Ive interacted with has been professional, responsive, and prompt. John Grizzle, our arborist, really knows his stuff. Not only did he study horticulture in college, he also has over 15 years of industry experience. He was even able to help us get rid of our poison ivy! We have some large oak trees that we were worried about falling on the house, and John has us on a plan to keep them healthy long-term so that we can pass the trees down to our children.

I have worked with Scott Carlson (one of the many certified arborists at the company) at Schneider Tree Care numerous times for over ten tears. I chose to use them many years ago per the recommendations of two friends of mine who happen to be master gardeners. Scott is always knowledgeable and professional, and assessed each situation to give us the best possible outcome. They have cut down numerous trees for us, some of which required using cranes. They have also pruned branches from large trees, ground stumps, and treated a dogwood for pests. Everyone was always courteous and professional, from the office staff to the employees on the job site. When we moved to our new house seven years ago, one of the things Scott did was to help us devise a master plan assessment of things that needed immediate attention and things that could wait a while. I appreciate the attention to detail, knowledgeable staff, and customer service. I will continue to use them for any future needs, and highly recommend them to others who may need their services as well.

Jay came out and did our estimate and was very pleasant and answered all my questions. They were backlogged because of recent storms so it took a little over a month for the work to be done, but we werent in a hurry. We had 5 very large trees trimmed. Sean did the work and he was also pleasant, professional, and efficient. They were here for about 6 hours. They cleaned up very well, too, and there was minimal damage to our yard from picking up the limbs and branches with the skid loader. Were very pleased!

I was impressed with the associate that Schneider sent to my home. He did a good job of describing the details for clean, as I had a tree fall on my property. Unfortunately, due to resources and my need to get it removed, we did not use their company. That said, the quote, the info and the experience from the initial engagement was very good. Ray & Justin did a great job pruning my trees. I have now used Schneider twice, and each time I couldnt even tell they had been at my house (except for the missing tree limbs)! Clean, on-time, professional. They might be a little more expensive than other providers, but I have zero doubts they will do the best possible job.

I love my trees!! I have lost some to storms and some to disease. My primary purpose for starting to use Schneider Tree several years ago was for the healthy maintenance and preservation of my existing trees. They have identified which trees need fungus application and which need nutrient application. I especially enjoy working with Jay Engledow. He is extremely responsive and knowledgeable and I trust him with my valuable trees.

Schnieder came at a bad time as the tree had fallen on my porch and crushed it, also taking down a power line. They came that same day to survey it and came back the next day and removed the tree. I am very pleased with there work and will call on them again.

To the best of my knowledge This the first time I will have rated a company at one star. Of the six trees they planted for me, one arrived with leaves that were turning brown. My representative indicated that this tree would eventually take in the soil. It did not, withered, died and had to be replaced, as it turns out, by another arborist. Schneider had not responded to my requests to return to replant and would not refund the money it cost me. In my opinion, what began as expensive became even more so. Service after the sale was negligible. I would never use them again. Ever!
