We love this place. They get great plants, have a great supply and selection of hands are, knowledgeable people working there, and the go above and beyond to help. Today I needed sod, called up at 4:57, was informed that they closed at 5, and they left the side gate open for me to come grab the sod. They could have just not answered the phone. They could have told me what time they opened and to come in the morning. Instead, they let me get my yard project done. Very grateful to have them in our community. If you havent tried them, you definitely should.

Overall great customer experience. I was searching for pea gravel in a specific color and they were able to send me photos of the aggregates they had in stock so that I didn t have to drive there. We handled the transaction entirely over the phone which was a breeze. The delivery driver (Broderick) was super nice and dropped off the crushed limestone directly into the area we needed it.

I would highly recommend MayDay Outdoor Services for your outdoor lawn needs. My backyard was not level and had holes which my dog dug throughout the yard. Alfredo and his assistants leveled my backyard and layed down 9 pallets of sod. They did a fantastic job.

Needed fill dirt for a yard project. Their customer service was execellent. They were able to help me determine how much material was needed and arrange for delivery. I told what the project was for and my concerns for delivery. Kathryn worked with me and got me a timely delivery. Broderick delivered on time and with great care. He was able to place multiple loads exactly were I needed them making his way through some pretty tight spots.

Caleb was great to work with. We were very quickly on the same page with what I wanted and needed. I felt the price was reasonable. After dropping off the contract and my deposit I was told someone would call to schedule the work. This was not done. I was away from home just a few days later when my daughter, who happened to home, called to say workers were at my house. The workers Jorge and Abe, were personable, efficient, and definitely knew what they were doing. However, I was told I would have a chance to eyeball the final placement of the plants before they were put in the ground. This did not happen. So the spacing of the plants is not what I had originally envisioned. I think the new layout will work but I would have liked to have been included in the discussion about the change. That said, I would use MayDay again but I would make sure there was more discussion involved in the planning of the job.

May Day Outdoor Services did an excellent job of professionally trimming a large oak tree in my front lawn. The raised canopy of the tree provides a much better general appearance and allows more sunlight for the grass growth under the tree. The May Day team also cut back some overgrown azaleas that had been damaged by a fallen pine tree. A 20-ft tall Oakland Holly tree was carefully pruned down to about 9-ft for easier maintenance. All cuttings were cleaned up and hauled off. The team of Alfredo and Bowen was led by Caleb. I highly recommend them for professional tree trimming services.

Wow. What a waste of my time to have a guy come out to give me a quote on the middle of the day on my lunchbreak. Didnt even get to money talk, although I told him I have plenty for the project. Didnt measure anything, didnt even ask very many questions. Just heard my vision and then in a slow, tedious, hemming and hawing manner he essentially told me it was not visually appealing enough for him to have the company he represented take on. Not that they couldnt. Just that he didnt want to. Nothing to do with logistics. Im asking for a pretty simple two strips of permeable paver as a driveway at the side of my yard leading to the back so that I can stop runoff and plant a groundcover but still be able to drive. There are a couple of trees roots in the one side and that was apparently the hangup. I didnt want them cut for the health of the tree. But Im totally ok to a foundation like gravel wherever needed... Apparently thats not aesthetically pleasing to him. I hope the company knows what representation he is giving of the company and Im truly shocked at the audacity. Sorry Im not in Killearn but this isnt an ugly project by far. I like landscaping but I dont have the time right now and there were so many things I was anticipating spending my hard earned time and money on. Homeowner project like with are you calling yourself MayDay for if you arent there when a Homeowner needs you?

We just finished a large backyard/pool renovation project with Anthony and the May Day crew and could not be happier with the outcome. Anthony held our hand through the entire process and made sure everything was 100% to our liking before considering the project done. I was digging two drain basins, and I visited May Day to purchase rocks. When I described what I intended to do, they provided me with invaluable suggestions on rock size, quantity, and design. It made the end result far superior. They also directed me to a much better product to fill in some low spots on the property. All delivered on time and for a great price.

During the job, my sprinkler system was damaged twice and until I notified them, it remained damaged. Furthermore, conversations we had prior to starting the job was completely ignored and left out of the agreement. Our expectations completely not achieved and the owner refused to offer any remedies. Mayday Outdoor Services are the best! They provide my neighborhood with all the materials we need for our road maintenance and can always be depended on to deliver excellent service. The storefront has beautiful examples of their talent with stonework for patios, outdoor fireplaces, ornamental ponds and so much more!

We got some playground sand and granite rocks and paid a reasonable fee to have it delivered and it was delivered the very next day. Recommend.

Easily 5 star business, MayDay has been doing landscaping and drainage work around my recently installed pool. These guys do great, professional work. Marc is awesome, knowledgeable and customer service is top notch. Highly recommend MayDay.

Paid 50% deposit on June 26 and after several calls to the office, work was finally started on August 8th. The work was to have include grading, irrigation systems,sodding all areas that were graded, cutting in grass edges and laying pine straw. The workers did not complete this work. Marc did come to the house when made aware of our dissatisfaction and agreed that work done was not as promised in contract. He said he would personally finish the work the next day and therefore we paid the remaining balance, our mistake. Two weeks later we followed up with Marc as no one returned to finish the job. He stated he would be out ASAP. Again, two weeks have passed and no one has been out. My husband found several very sharp tools left by the workers, a razor blade cutter and a pipe cutter left lying in the grass where our young grandchildren play. To make matters even worse the irrigation system that was installed had a leak and we just paid McNeill plumbing $100 to find and repair the leak. May Day came highly recommended by a friend but we cannot recommend this contractor. I believe that the job was too small for the company to invest their time but to us $850 is not chump change and if the job was too small for their time it should not have been accepted.

I have bought small trailer loads of materials (limestone, road base, etc.) from Mr. May for the last few years. Always friendly and helpful. Reasonable prices and I always feel I am treated fairly. I would highly recommend him.

We are SO enjoying our new outdoor living area. We live on a hill, so drainage needed to be right. They installed gutters and new paving stones. It was a thing of beauty to watch the recent rain come down and travel on the exact path around the house. I highly recommend Calib if you install these Tremron pavers. He is a true artist - placing each brick with care. He also built a sitting wall that totally changed the look of our back yard - just gorgeous! We also added loose stone pathways around the house - no more walking in the mud - and a really nice stone fire pit, cant wait for the cooler weather! They were very responsive to questions and phone calls. Great advice - I highly recommend these folks. Worth every penny.

If you are not a big spender they treat you like you are wasting their time. Find another place to buy your landscaping supplies. I am not sure who I dealt with but they are also not honest people. The lies they told me were not over the top, but if they will lie about the small stuff then they will lie about the big stuff. I will not go back.

May Day has been in business in Tallahassee about as long as I can remember. There is a reason for that. Rick takes care of his customers and gives back to the community. He always makes a point to try to keep his money in Tallahassee and support local businesses. If he can buy it in Tallahassee, he will. They provide great service, friendly staff and stand behind their work. May Day sponsors a Chili Cook-Off every year to raise money for Pyramid Inc. I have entered the cook-off the last few years really just to support the cause. But last year I was fortunate enough to win 3rd place. Of the prizes that were left I chose a $100 gift card for May Day services. I wasn t too concerned about it but Rick made sure I collected my prize. He kept asking until I finally told him what they could do for me. They came out to my house, I happened to be home sick so I was able to see them work. I hadn t cleaned up my yard (I have a young child that has lots of toys in the yard) like I should have because I wasn t feeling well. His staff assured me this was no problem. They cleaned up the yard. They moved what could be moved and worked around the big stuff. They were friendly, efficient, and did a great job. I had a serious vine problem which was one of the main things I wanted help with. They mowed, edged, raked, blew the leaves, and took the overgrown vines down with the weed eater. They sprayed them (at my request) to make sure they didn t come back. They made sure to dispose of the invasive species and the vines have stayed gone. Rick went above and beyond not only to put on the chili cook-off, but also made sure to give me superior service when I really didn t even pay for it. He personally called to ask how his guys did a few days later and made sure I was happy. I can t imagine a better Landscaping company, and I ve had my fair share of them in the past. I would recommend May Day to anyone for services and supply. You ll get superior service and products at a fair price and they ll do everything in their power to make sure you are happy. Mayday is one of the best landscaping companies in Tallahassee. My grass was looking awful and Mayday helped make it look green and healthy again due there great crew and services. Its great to see a local business try and keep everything in town but also put back into the community with fun events. There prices are affordable for the amount of great work they do. There crew was able to help me get my weeds in my yard under control which was getting out of hand due to lack of time. I usually dont do reviews of places but I felt this business needs more recognition and I thank Rick for all the great work he has done for me and everyone else.

First their pricing was a few thousand less than other bids. Their work was of high quality and the crew was dedicated to delivering a quality product. Marc was the site manager and he was helpful in explaining the steps he needed to accomplish to perform the work. He assured me everything would be perfect or they would redo it.
