Absolutely fabulous experience start to finish. The team came up with a beautiful, creative plan and implemented it seamlessly. I would happily recommend them to anyone looking for landscape design.

I first met Nate about a year ago, he had contacted me ( a local landscape contractor) inquiring about landscape design services he offered. I got him hooked up with an awesome couple that was really in need of a design for their yard. Nate has incredible insight and very personable to work with. He listens intently to what you have to say and then adds in his years of creative ideas, coming up with what I think are masterpieces. After the first project, I was so impressed with him that we joined forces on a handful of additional projects that really needed a design first. He returns calls/texts and emails promptly, is very professional, and understanding of the landscape construction industry. We ended out last year out with an incredible project and we already are working on more for this year. I cant say enough good things about him, and also what my clients have to say about him, it is also my reputation on the line if things dont go as planned. Nothing but praise !!

Nate worked with us to create a landscape design that complemented our older home, gave us privacy in a busy urban location, and includes a lovely stone patio and perfect spot for the grill. Nate and his team did an amazing job with our backyard! They finished the project right on time (maybe even early) and were going to use them to help out with some work in the front yard soon! They transformed our backyard space into a magical wonderland and we finally enjoy spending time out there with our family! This was an investment in our home and outdoor space that will last for many, many years and were so happy we worked with Nate and his team. They were super responsive and easy to talk to, and fun to have around!

Nate and his crew (Steve and Jake) were thorough, responsive, professional and creative. I now have an oasis, a solidly constructed expanded living space that beckons. Am I getting poetic? Yeah. He is that good.

I hired Nate and his crew to replace my outdated front block stoop and brick walk. He provided drawings from our initial meeting and walked me through the process.After a few design changes we got on his scedule, and I was impressed to see them work through on and off again rain in order to get the job done. Nate is very detail oriented and has a great eye for design. He has installation experience that adds to the quality of the finished product, including making excellent angle cuts to really make the project look great. Nate did excellent work both on my front and back yard design and for my cottage on Lake Winnebago that really took expert knowledge to keep rain falling properly on my property and protecting the lake

So glad we found Four of Six and Nate to design and build our patio. We had some ideas of how we wanted our patio to be used and a couple design ideas, but couldnt decide on an overall plan or design. We talked to multiple companies, but Nate was the one who, right off the bat, took what we wanted and came up with a beautiful and unique design. He gives you options within your budget and makes tweaks as needed too. The patio looks exactly like it shown in the renderings he made. We love that Nate focuses just as much on the planting as the hardscape. For other companies, it seemed like a bit of an afterthought. The patio, planting beds, customer service, everything is first rate. We love using our patio already, and cant wait until the plantings mature. Would definitely recommend Four of Six to anyone.

My wife & I initially contacted Nate with a request to install a fire pit with a paver surround. Nate devised a plan, providing us with sketches and 3D renderings, that looked fantastic and we couldn t be more pleased with the end product. We were constantly left in the loop regarding next steps, the overall timeline, and any issues. Towards the end of the project we ran into a large issue regarding the drainage in one of our planting beds due to the type of soil on our property, but the team went above and beyond to spend their time and efforts to devise a solution to ensure our plantings will thrive for years to come.

Brian and I are so very happy with the experience we had with Nate. Nates attention to detail shows through in the final result. We were able to work through the project from start to finish and felt that Nate really listened to us. Nate was on site everyday, and was hands on for the entire project-this is truly impressive. What an amazing experience working with Nate and Steve. Nate took our idea for a backyard fire pit and made it into an amazing and relaxing family gathering spot!

Nate has done landscape work for us for the past two years. We moved into our new house three years ago and just didnt know where to begin. Nate listened to what we like and wanted (color choices and native species) and came up with excellent plans. When a couple plants didnt make it through the winter, he promptly replaced them. He and his crew work hard, clean up the site, and are always friendly. Nate has gone above and beyond the past two summers for us. We would highly recommend him. And, Nate is excited about plants and trees -- his passion for the work makes him the best!

Nates design ideas were wonderful in softening the hard angles of my front porch/walkway. He added 3 large boulders that gave great dimension to the overall concept. He and his crew were prompt, respectful, and incredibly hard working to complete my project. Nate kept me informed at every step. Nate worked with me to redesign two areas in our landscaping...one early last fall and one this spring. He is incredibly easy and fun to work with, has great ideas and recommendations and brings with him a very hard working and professional team. I am very pleased with the completed projects and will use Nate for any future landscaping needs.

Nate had quite a job to tackle at our home. Tearing out cement curbing, a large flower bed and then saving and moving many of our well established plants and adding new, to give our home a fresh and clean look. The landscaping is inviting and simplified just as we wanted. Nate was great to work with and open to our suggestions. I highly recommend him for your land projects as well.

Amazing and affordable top quality work, both the hardscape and the surrounding landscape areas. Tough to keep this review short, as everything about working with Nate was stellar. Great design, great communication, paying attention to what we wanted as well as making suggestions to enhance our own ideas....and perfectionistic execution of the project, including hand-picking our bluestone pieces to get the color range we wanted. Nate was more affordable than the more well-known area landscapers we interviewed. Would never go elsewhere for another project.

We built our home two years ago and had a blank slate to work with. After trying to design it ourselves we decided to hire a professional. I am sure glad that we found Nate at Four Of Six! He was so easy to work with and took our ideas and built upon them to make a truly beautiful and welcoming landscape for the front of our home. They were in and out in one day and were VERY clean. There was no sign of their work anywhere but the new beds and beautiful plants they installed. We plan on doing the rest of the home and yard in several phases and Nate will be doing the work for us then too.

Nate was the only landscaper who came back to me after our first meeting with a full-color design sketch that addressed all the issues I shared with him plus a few (like drainage) that I hadnt foreseen that his work could fix. He worked right along beside his crew and they were all very considerate. Nate always kept us informed of where they were at in the project and what would happen next.

Nate and Four of Six Landscape did such a great job transforming our bare backyard into a spot that were proud to call part of our home! He listened to what we were looking for and was especially knowledgeable about the concrete pavers they put in as well as future maintenance. They worked at what seemed like lightning speed too with such great quality work! He has been back since finishing up the initial work to check on plants, fix a warped board, etc. You can tell he takes pride in his work. My husband and I couldnt be more pleased that we chose Nate and his company. We definitely recommend to anyone looking for any sort of help in their yard as Nate will certainly be able to help. We are very pleased and impressed by how our front walkway, seating area, and landscaping looks! Nate and his Four of Six Landscape crew did a wonderful job. When Nate first visited us and heard our ideas for a Japanese-themed area in our back yard we could sense his enthusiasm for our unique project. His suggestions about materials were so helpful. The final design incorporated our desired elements within a realistic budget. Nate and his crew transformed our concept into reality and we are extremely pleased with the result.

Nate has the amazing ability to capture the landscape wants and functional needs of his clients-while adding his highly developed design skills and understanding of the space (and budget!) he is working with. We had a tough back yard (retaining walls to put in, existing trees to work around-all on a slope!). Nate was phenomenal to work with, his craftsmanship was impeccable. 3 years later-his work holds strong, looks great-and we love it.

Nate had great ideas for our very small yard, and did everything he said would do. He listened to all of our ideas and concerns, was very conscious of our budget, gave us choices of materials at different prices, and never tried to sell us anything we didnt ask for. And he did most of the work himself, with one other person. In the end, the patio was very professionally done and looks great, and he also does follow-up maintenance. We were very impressed by his knowledge and dependability.

Nate was introduced to us via our local garden club and by a friend. We needed a revision of our front yard garden. Nate, the owner of the company, who is a very amiable guy, came up with some good ideas. He put together a plan that he later presented to us. We accepted his proposal and arranged for a time for the work. We are very happy with the outcome. He is knowledgeable about plants and garden design. Nate was hands on with his crew and the job was finished quickly.

Nate is great. He does honest, excellent work at a good and fair price. Nate designed our entire back yard and hes helped us maintain it since he and his team finished the work. We vetted three different companies and Nate was the only one that didnt fall under our expectations or blow the budget out of the water with unnecessary items. He also had good ideas for strategic placement of plants to get the most out of the shape of our yard. Great communication and great service. Couldnt ask for a better experience; guess thats why we continue to do business with him and recommend him to our friends.

We had the privilege of having Nate design a beautiful, welcoming garden for our front entryway. Nate listened well you our wishes and then used his creativity and knowledge to develop an affordable plan. As everything came to life, we were very pleased with the variety of colors and textures.
