ChemLawn tech explained to me the advantages of the treatment he applied to my yard for long term growth. He was very courageous and respectful of my property.

Eloy Z applied my sulfur treatment and was quite pleasant. He saw me through he window trying to calm my barking dog and gave me a thumbs up sign, which I returned. He didn t ring the doorbell which would have further energized my dog, and just went about his work.

Professional, always pleasant, offer good advice to my questions and concerns.

They making nearly nothing but charging so much per service. They sprayed to 2 little trees and charged $80 and they spread some granules to the yard and charge $90 so total $170 per month! Weeds never went away, grass became a little better but I leave it as is now it s way much better! So TrueGreens does no effects to your yard!

I do the manual labor (with help from my lawn maintenance team, AGL Home Services), and TruGreen fertilizes and keeps diseases & bugs from destroying it all. We make a good team!

I cancelled Trugreen! My grass looked 100% better before they started treatment. They are terrible! I will NEVER use them again. They are all about squeezing as much money out of clients to maximize their profit! They turned my grass yellow!

Avoid investing your funds with Trugreen. Instead, consider allocating that money to someone in need. Despite paying for a years worth of service from August 2023 to August 2024, my experience has been consistently disappointing. During one visit, which I observed remotely through our security camera, the technician spent a mere five minutes on our 5000 sqft yard an impossible timeframe for proper service. When I raised the issue with them, they refunded the fee for that visit and offered a complimentary service, assuring me that any future lapses would result in a full refund upon cancellation. However, recent encounters have been equally unsatisfactory. On April 18th, while I was present, a technician selectively treated only the most obvious areas of weed growth, neglecting significant portions of our yard. Moreover, the application of fertilizer was limited to a fraction of the back yard. Most importantly, I have not seen any improvements to our lawn although they started the treatment 8 months ago. Despite repeated calls to cancel the contract and request a refund, Ive yet to receive a satisfactory response. Despite assurances from their manager, no supervisor has reached out as promised.

I figured I could use help recovering the lawn. I knew I had huge fungus problems and crab grass. Getting this grass to grow was super difficult. I dont know if this company did anything for that $700. The most I saw was they dug up pellet size holes in the yard. Id get a report that said presence of crab grass they didnt pull the weeds and I could tell they spread them either. In the end I still put more time into the yard then they did. Save your money and go to Youtube or download Yard Mastery. It will tell you exact what to do to your lawn and when, using exactly what product. That assumes you dont have disease problems. How to tell you have fungus. Mushroom is the biggest sign. You might be over watering. Your yard needs only 1.5 inches of water per week in normal southern climate conditions (assuming you have St. Augustine grass. Melt-out fungus: yellow grass blades with round brown spots Brown Patch: very large round spots of brown grass. It will stubbornly refuse to grow. Dollar spot: smaller round spots of brown grass that refuses to grow or dead What works?: Use these 3 fungicides 7-14 days apart: Fungicides come in groups. Dont use same groups repeatedly 4 times in a row or youll get drug resistance. Clearys 3336F: Group 1 Propiconazole :Group 3 Azoxystrobin: Group 11

Terrible company! I paid for a full year from June 2023 to June 2024, I just cancelled my remaining services few days ago and they only reimbursed me 2 sessions! I still have 6 months I paid for but because I only use 6 sessions in 2023 they give u 8 in a year from what they explained that s why I only get 2 reimbursed so if I didn t cancel I would still only have those two sessions left and that even cover till June 2024 that i already paid service on! Total fraud the way they get u to buy u pay the year but only allowed certain amount of session that don t even cover that full year!! DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THIS COMPANY

They have done the following services, tree and shrub, aeration, fertilization, fire ant control, weed control.

New home owner, made the mistake of using Trugreen. Pre-paid for a year, later was informed that it was only until the end of the year. Found out by a surprise bill in the mail. I paid and immediately cancelled my service. $500 for 8 months and my lawn looks worse than when they started. Do yourself a favor find an honest and effective company to work with. If you re a new home owner, much better off working with a local company, both cheaper and more honest. Lesson learned, never using Trugreen again.

First service from truegreen was not good at all. But when I called Trugreen after two weeks about no improvement at all in my lawn, they sent another service person free of charge, he sprayed weed control. Truegreen is with customer care and support very professionally

My experience with TruGreen lawn services was absolutely terrible. Their website and marketing materials are incredibly misleading, and their service is simply unacceptable. False promises were made, and their refund policy is deceitful. The technicians they sent to fix my lawn were inexperienced and lacked the necessary skills. TruGreens main priority is clearly their profits over customer satisfaction. With their deceptive marketing, poor service execution, and evasive refund policy, TruGreen is an entirely unreliable company.

Look forward to a yard free of weeds, chinch bugs and fungus. Most of our yard is in good shape. But there are four areas I realized I needed professional help. In that the chinch bugs were winning. Demarkeus was very informative. Gave me insights of proper watering. Can t wait to see our lawn in several months.

My lawn is worse now than before they started. Their technicians will spend two minutes on your property lackadaisically spraying something from a hose across 10% of your lawn. Your lawn will not improve. You will complain and they will give you excuses about how much time it takes for their services to work. Meanwhile your grass will die and the weeds will thrive. Stay away.

incompetent customer service This summer I called to set up services : lawn care, mosquito defense, and pest control. I mentioned to the sales guy i had a previous account from last year. He ignored me and continued making a profile and setting up services. Well there was a good 2-4 week window when I SWORE Trugreen was coming almost everyday and was confused, but since I set up 3 different services, I didn t pay much mind. Until that is, I noticed I was getting double billed for all services. I finally called and we learned that there were two separate accounts for me; with all 3 services, both active and charging. The sales lady didn t know what to do; how this happened. Long story short; i ended up speaking to 12-16 different representatives in a span of 3/4 months and today this problem is not resolved. They finally were to merge my account into 1, and moved my payments from one account to the active one. However , I just got notice in the mail of a credit report/ collection agency asking for the payments of a defunct account that I was told was taken care of. I paid the money. They just moved the credit over to my active account but left my other account with a balance. Every representative I speak to seems to have no idea nor see any notes from the previous. I am so tired of these clowns, i will be reporting to better business Bureau. Once again this has been an ongoing issue since April, and i have spoken to more trugreen agents than anyone should ever have to. The service itself was never an issue. It is simply the fact nobody has any idea what is going on and it is literally a hamster wheel and harassment at this point.

Local support is great and wants to earn your business. They also take the time to come onsite, evaluate your lawn and walk you through the what their responsibility is along with yours. Corporate support is garbage.

I met with Keshawn today. He was very knowledgeable of the weeds. I was concerned about an area in my backyard, and he gave detailed information of what he was going to do today. He also gave me advice on what to do in an area where I wanted grass to grow. He was very professional and friendly in the way he spoke and carried himself. He is a great employee!

I have two homes, they just cant handle two homes in one account in their system. game over. I have to find other alternative service.

Stay away and save your money, they do a horrible job and if it works well and good and if it doesn t they don t have a game play on how to fix, and if you complain and ask for a another treatment they will cancel your service without even consulting you.

Ive been using TruGreen for about a month now, and I have nothing good to say so far. I was very dissatisfied w my 1st application, and I expressed that to them. They told me I have to wait 14-21 days, well I waited and was still dissatisfied because ALL my weeds were still growing. Had a free service scheduled, the same tech was scheduled, I requested a different tech so they gave me a new date. The same tech showed up on the originally scheduled date and before he did anything I told him the service was rescheduled. I watched him, on my cameras, get back in his truck and leave but low and behold I got a notification that the service was complete. I didnt say or do anything, but now the day has come for the rescheduled service and Im not notified so I call them, they told me I have nothing scheduled until the 4th which would have been the 2nd application of the regular service. Thats because its registered in their system that the reapplication of the 1st service was completed (falsely). So not only has the service been shabby, but they are falsifying reports and when I call to speak w a supervisor I have to make an appointment and the person should call back in 2-3 business days (meaning possibly 5 days time since today is Friday). At this point in time, I highly do NOT reccomend TruGreen to anyone! And if this isnt rectified fast, I will be contacting the BBB.

Using TruGreen resulted in complete ruin of my yard. I called with my concerns in early February and a technician came to inspect the yard on 2/10/21. He said he would need to consult with his manager who would contact me. No response . So I called on 2/22/21 & was asked to send photos. I was told it would be forwarded to both a supervisor & a manager & I should expect a response in a few days. No response by 2/26/21. Emailed the individual who requested photos to ensure receipt. No reply/response By 3/1/21 phoned customers service again who confirmed receipt of photos & documentation of calls. Escalated to service manager By 3/3/21...no response. Receipt of photos confirmed as was request to speak to service manager 3/4/21 Received a call from local branch service manager requesting photos ( which had been confirmed as received and visible on my case several times( resent photos 3/8/21 No response. Emailed service manager to confirm receipt of photos-no response 3/9/21 Phoned customer service. Escalated to next level of management 3/15/22 No response. Service cancelled I see no option but to re-sod my yard after the complete destruction incurred by TruGreen service I have never experienced worse customer care -and complete lack of accountability. I will try to include photos to show the before and after

Turnkey solution for lawn and shrub maintenance (except pruning). Their fire-ant control treatment works well, and if I do spot a mound, they will come back and reapply at no charge. I especially like the way they notify you when they are coming via email (or text, I think). The workers are always professional and friendly. It seems a little pricey until you do the math on buying your own chemicals and fertilizers and the means to distribute them, then add in the cost of your own time and sweat. Its definitely worth it to have a treatment tailored to my lawn, applied at just the right time.

My trees and shrubbery are healthy. Its leaves are clean and dark green colored. Before TruGreen, they were blotchy with a fungus. Not anymore. I leave the care of my trees and shrubbery to TruGreen.

Guy shows up and sprays. He sprays ONE spot in my backyard and ONE spot in my front yard (have cameras) and sides not sprayed at all. No mosquito relief - paid $95. I request in app, still having issues. Never heard back. Call and am told wait. Would not come out on their guarantee. Cancelled service.

I contacted this company for a quote. I decided not to use the service and let them know that, but they will not stop calling me. I have blocked numbers and they just call from a different phone number and every time they call I tell them I am not interested. Stop harassing people.

TruGreen is a horrible company. It was the worst decision to hire TruGreen for lawn service. The technician did not treat my entire yard like I requested and paid for. He or she did not treat the entire left side of my house and several other areas in the front yard and back yard. I requested that a technician come back out in 24 hours to do a complete job and I was told 3 to 5 business days was the only option. This all occurred today which is my initial service. I canceled the service and requested a refund promptly. TruGreen does not take any pride in their services which is evident by their lack of care with my lawn. A very dissatisfied new customer!

Cancelled services yesterday after a year of service. BE CAREFUL....READ THIS...Their scheduling department kept sending technicians too frequently. They ruined our lawn, last Fall we started noticing bare spots and brown patches. We were watering and in the year we had the service, it was NEVER green. Then at times the technician would service our home in less than 10 minutes and random spray. We did not feel we were getting our lawn completely serviced or covered. When we signed up were told lawn would be every 6 weeks but once the services started they were coming every 4 weeks. We complained about the scheduling frequency and told they would have to do a Manual Adjustment as the system would not allow and set to come diff intervals,, system set to come 4-6 weeks, of course they wanted to come every 4 weeks. On 1/20/21 they serviced and 2 weeks later they attempted to service again,we refused that service and requested 6 to 7 weeks from 1/20/21 service but they serviced anyway 4 weeks from 1/20/21 which we had denied that service too. We requested a credit on the Feb service, as we had denied that service too and told only a General Manager could credit, finally spoke to GM once in April he said he would resolve, agreed with our concerns of too many frequent services, adjust our Feb service and Manually adjust our account to schedule 7 weeks intervals, he never followed through and would not respond to our calls. We also had the tree and shrub service, thats a separate department and technician and fee, they were a bit better with scheduling but also felt the service was too rushed. After several of months of us calling to get this resolved, escalating to Gen Manager Governor, escalating to Corporate, attempted to cancel in April but customer service told us they would escalate and after NEVER getting a response from anyone in Corporate or GM, yesterday we paid the Feb service we were disputing and cancelled both Lawn and Shrub Services. Very very disappointed in the lack of follow up, to push for services disregarding owners requests and not getting responses from the GM and Corporate. Must acknowledge one phenomenal Rep. Jonathan who tried to get his GM to call us back, Jonathan tried to help several times when we called him and troubleshoot on what we could adjust on our end to include changing sprinklers set time, cutting lawn higher, etc. Which we were doing all this in past but his efforts to help resolve are to be commended, just that team did not have the GMs support. Very unfortunate.

Ive had an expanding patch of dead St. Augustine grass in my backyard for 9 months now. My treatments with fertilizer, and for pests and fungus were to no avail. I advised TruGreen of the issue, signed a contract and they said they would undertake a soil analysis. Sounded good. First Trugreen guy comes around saying he was going to apply fertilizer. I sent him away and called the company. The receptionist apologized and said they would dispatch someone to do a diagnosis/soil analysis. Second Trugreen guy comes around telling me he was unsure what he was supposed to do!! I articulated to him and he called his manager describing the issue and taking pix. They concluded that my problem was Take- All Root rot. Third Trugreen guy comes around a few days later does a quick visual inspection and comes up with a different diagnosis with zippo of treatment plan. At that point, I asked to discontinue my service and cancelled my contract. Bottom line. If your lawn is SICK, do NOT use Trugreen.

I wasn t thrilled with the job Trugreen was doing anyway, but it s really the CONSTANT phone calls that led me to cancel. Being a customer of trugreen was a terrible experience. Again, I don t think they did a thorough job of treating our lawn, but that was nothing compared to the barrage of phone calls we got from their sales department when we were already under contract. At least 3 times a week someone was calling to sell Me an additional service. I asked multiple times to be taken off the call list. They would say it s done and then no change. Finally someone from the local office called to see how my services were going. I told him about my terrible experience with the call center. He sympathized, expressed regret that they were bombarding me . And before the call was over, he too tried to sell me more services. Even after canceling they won t leave me alone. I ve now gotten 4 retention calls. Wish I had never signed up!

TruGreen stands behind its service. We had Brown patch problem in front and back yards. TruGreen visited number of times till problem is resolved.

They could not even contact me prior to the first service. They also stared there would be a free consultation with the first service. The guy showed up at 7am and did not even ring the door bell. My dog did not even hear the knock on the door, but did hear them in the back yard. They also used a product which the manufacturer states is not for St Augustine grass. They cant deliver what they sale. You also cannot speak to anyone locally without a callback. Stay away from the TruGreen.

Excessive fertilizer spilled on our lawn that killed large patches of healthy grass. Unevenly spread fertilizer throughout. Expensive for the quality of service.

DO NOT USE TRUGREEN. They lie about servicing your property. Today I sat at home in a room filled with windows and they claimed they serviced my yard! No way they did that! I called 15 minutes after they claimed they were here and I was told a manager would call me back, and the technician would come back to service my yard. I have been here all day. 5 hours later and no call and no technician has arrived! I am sick of this. This is not the first time they have claimed to provide a service that they did not! They are untrustworthy! If theres anything I cant stand, its a lie and they have lied about servicing my yard while collecting my money! I would call that lying and stealing!

Ever since i put trump sign in yard Trugreen reps have skipped my house and had excuses of equipment failure and customer declined treatment ! Dont use them. I cancelled them (told them why)and nobody even called me back to say sorry !

Use this services for 1 year and I decided not to continue with so I called to cancel and got their confirmation about the cancellation but somehow they continue to provide the services for another year (randomly the tech showed up and apply the product) and now I have a dispute for few hundred dollars for a service I didnt ask for...

My backyard was exposed because the door was left open.

I used them for 7 months and no results. Complete waste of money. I called truegreen because I had dry patches in my front yard. They said they will fix it. Every time they would come, put some fertilizer and go. nothing changed in 7 month. They would then call and say that I need additional package of Aeration. Waste of time and money.

I haven t noticed a difference in my yard. I use the TG app and tried to chat with someone about it but no one has contacted me back. The guys that came have done their job but the customer service is not up to par.

I have to keep reminding them of a treatment missed. Then their phone operator tells me that Im getting a free treatment, that I already paid for. They are not cheap, but my lawn is looking better after just a short while. Their technicians are really nice people.

I was not at home during the TruGreen visit so I cant comment. I only trust that the job was done as reported.

Giving only 3 stars bcoz if u don t pay close attention to the service person or don t check ur lawn after service there is a chance they may not do it completely. It happened to me as they didn t treat part of my lawn. I personally checked and find it. Good thing is they send another person and did it again. So if I didn t check it I may not be getting the full service what I paid for. Feel like cheating to me. So not a trustable service

Best Lawn care have been using True green for years now.

They brought my tree back from almost dying.

I ended up canceling my account after only a few months, as like someone else had already said, the technicians do not do the entire job that youve paid for. I had paid for lawn care, tree and shrub and fire ant treatments - the front yard looks great but in the back yard, the fire ants are still there (I watched the guy spread only the outside of the lawn but not the center), the trees and shrubs in the back havent been touched by TruGreen (again I was home when this service was performed). On calling to cancel, they did offer a free remedy and followed up a couple of days later offering a discount however my trust in TruGreen is no longer there and went with someone else update: since writing this review I find that TruGreen were at my home to do a free fire ant treatment. 1 star to 2

Have service over past 6 months. Technicians are polite and helpful. However, treatment is not getting rid of weeds. Even after retreating for weeds problem persists. Also back yard grass is very scanty - no body. Can see dirt. By now it should be thick and green like they advertise. We water as per their recommendations. Have left more than half dozen times messages for Houston office manager to call me (through call center rep, who send them email) to help find solution- they never return call. Hope this review will prompt them to call and help find solution to built up turf.

Great Service

I have found that TruGreen provides excellent customer service. I was having a problem with some of my shrubs and a supervisor came out and spoke in-depth to my husband about the problems we are experiencing. I am very happy with all the technicians that have serviced my lawn, trees and shrubs.

Product 4 stars. Communication 1 star. Customer service 2.5 stars. Price 3 stars. I have spent more time communicating with Trugreen than the time they have spent working in my lawn. There have been helpful people along the way, but Trugreens overall process for customer service is poor. The individuals were not the problem, it is their approach to service. They just want to do whatever they want to do and whenever they want to do it then send a bill. While that works most of the time, there are instances where customer input is very important to ensure they are applying the right chemical or performing the right service and at the right time. I am leaving the service and recommend anyone who plans to use them to not use their mont program.

I use both Lawn care and shrubs treatments and it saves me time and helps me enjoy the yard.

Beware! Do not, do not, do not, do not use this company. Use someone locally that comes on recommendations from your neighbors. Just go ahead and look at the Yelp reviews for this company ( not the Google reviews that can be manipulated ). My yard is 10 times worse than it was when they started their service. They will fraudulently keep your credit card information even when you insist on having it removed. You have been warned.

One of the very bad service company I ever dealt with globally. If we have negative star, I will issue - million star. They have spoiled completely my lawn. They do not know what they are doing . Waste of time and money and please do not be in their trap

Horrible customer service experience! If you are not home when they come you will find it nearly impossible to track someone down to talk to because you have to call one of those centralized calling centers and speak to someone in another state and wait 24-48 hours for someone to call you back and many times no one will call back. By the time you a get your questions or concerns answered, your lawn maybe worse off than without their service as was mine.

I had tree and shrub service from trugreen. Unfortunately I had a difficult experience with trugreen. My shurbs has spots on them and during enrollment, sales rep assured us that treatment will be effective and further damage will be prevented. Even after several treatments shrubs started dying . I have asked trugreen to come and inspect why is treatment not effective. they always promised manager will call back . Unfortunately two months of time was not enough to return my call. All I wanted was my shrubs to stay alive but I regret being in the profession trugreen was so unresponsive.

If I could do less than one star I would. Customer service with this company stinks. All I asked was for a call ahead prior to the technician arriving. I was assured this was not a problem when I started the service. They would come treat half the yard and have to come back a second time. Yard never looked like the product was working. I have called the call center the local manager and the corporate office and no one is willing to help. I have canceled my service and will NEVER use this company again. Save your money and hire the local yard guy to put out your fertilizer!

MIke is the best technician we have had. He is very thorough and is always very pleasant. I have noticed a greater improvement in the lawn quality since he has taken over.

Abdullah has been very helpful and gone out of his way to provide extra advice and answer questions. When I did not have anything to use to mark my sprinklers before the aeration, he gave me a few plastic sticks from his truck.

Im very unhappy with their service. My yard was gorgous when I was with Scotts, then TruGreen took over Scotts and my yard for some reason went to crap! I started to get bugs or mold, and everytime they came out to treat it, a different person each time, told me it was something else. It never got better. I had one manager call me and ask if he could come out to look at my yard, I told him yes please do, and he was a no show no call. I just want my yard back the way it was!

Very nice. and thorough. I would recommend Terminix and their employees. Very satisfied with service and work done.

Tech is excellent and service. The downside since the merger is that when I made online payment it noted that it was accepted successfully; however, payment did not go through successfully on their end. The customer service person was very thorough and helpful. However, because I do not want to set up automatic payments I have had to close my account.

Very rude and I was trying to start a new contract. Basically got hung up on my face.

My recently planted lawn is lush and green and is one of the better looking lawns on my section of the street. I plan to continue using TruGreen. The scheduled visits are timely.

Great service. You get a discount if you pay in advance for the year. They let you know when they are coming to service the yard, so you dont have to worry about scheduling them. They make recommendations to help your yard look its best.

Due to front lawn issue, I reluctantly decided to try True Green again and see if they could cure the issue. A manager in the Houston area called me and talked me into prepaying for three treatments. A service tech came out to treat the front yard only but after a few days I could not tell if the tech treated the strip of yard in the front between me and my neighbor. I called the customer service number and asked them to check with the tech on whether that part of the front lawn was treated or not but after three days no one ever got back to me on status.. When I called back in to check on status there was not a record of my issue and the service tech had never been contacted. Supposedly the lady I talked to this time is going to make sure the issue is handled. Just extremely poor customer service, which is why I quit using them the first time. I honestly dont know how they keep customers!

Your employees do a great job explaining what they are doing and how to improve the health of the lawn.

We use True Green Tree & Shrub Service and have been exceedingly happy and satisfied with their service.

They are absolutely terrible. My yard looks much worse than when I hired them. I called the customer service number to ask to meet a field manager. He never called. I called again still no response. A month later and still no return calls.

I ve been using this branch s service at two locations for about 8 years. Excellent service, fair price and my landscaping couldn t look better

Poor service. I have had concerns about whether they treat my entire yard when Im not home and my concerns were justified when I purposely did not answer the door and the serviceman only treated the front lawn but report it as treating the entire yard.

Hard working men on time and very courteous

Overall I have been impressed with the quality of my lawn since using Trugreen. I had a new (to me) technician and he introduced himself to me and reviewed what he had done after the application was complete. I appreciate the personal touch.
