We have been very pleased with the Mosquito Defense service that was applied on 6/11/19. The Mosquitos were quite bad and our neighbor recommended the service as he had it done in previous years. We can now enjoy our yard again and entertain family & friends. Thanks

I have always had great experiences with Tru Green, from their customer service people, lawn technicians and even pricing. Our lawn technician, Dan, has always been so friendly and helpful. He is always willing to discuss our lawn care with me and give reasonable recommendations. Customer service representatives have always been friendly and helpful. The app is an added bonus!

Evan was extremely polite, professional, and informative during my pre-treatment conversation with him. I wish he could be our personal TruGreen specialist going forward. 2 thumbs up and 5+ stars for Evan

Service is great, most times.

While they did do a good job taking care of my lawn the problem that I had with them was after I discontinued the service. When I initially started with TruGreen the sales person gave me a price for three applications in 2022 and the entire year of 2023. When I got down to the last three applications of 2023 I was billed. I contacted TruGreen and explained the situation to them. I was told that I was misinformed by the sales person. Of course I reiterated what was said and was basically told, Too Bad. After this exchange we agreed that they would do the last three applications for a modified price. I also told them that I was not happy and that I would find someone else to treat my lawn next year. In mid March TruGreen comes to my house and treats my lawn. They attempted to bill my credit card but earlier in the year my card was compromised and I had to get a new one. Needless to say they were unable to bill my card. A week later I get a bill in the mail for $82 and some change. Of course I call TruGreen again and ask them why they treated my lawn. I am told that they were never told not to. I told them about the conversation I had with them the previous fall. I was told that there was nothing in their notes so they sent someone to treat the lawn. I assured them that I had talked to them about this, they said it is not in the notes, therefore, the conversation didnt happen. I told them I had no intention of paying their bill because I did not authorize the service. They offered to discount the service by 50%, I countered their offer by asking for a 100% discount since I did not authorize the service. I was put on hold for about 5 minutes and when the person I was talking to came back on the line I was told that the bill would be sent to collections. I told them they could do what they wanted but I was not paying the bill. So now I will have as hit on my credit score because someone at TruGreen did not put down in their notes that I was cancelling their service. Also, I would think that a company might contact their customers from year to year and ask them if they want to renew their service. Instead of assuming they will and just billing the credit card they have on file from the previous year. A very poor way of doing business. I intend to let the BBB know about my experience as well. The day after I wrote this post I was contacted by the TruGreen corporate office. They apologized for the way that this whole thing played out. They also informed me that they were crediting my account for the full amount for the service. Glad to see the corporate office reads reviews and are willing to make things right.

What a terrible company! I called one time to get a quote. Now I have employees of TruGreen calling and harassing me 3 times a day. What a joke, stop the harassment!

Trusted. It took 5 years but TruGreen gave me the appearance I was looking for.

The gentleman was extremely pleasant and consciousness!! I failed to put a couple of my dogs toys away and he got off his machine and moved them so they wouldnt be in the way of the product. In the past we have had several technicians apply right over them. Much appreciated and Ill be more careful to have them out of the way next time!

I was impressed with the degree of concern for my expectations.

Matthew did a good. He works hard . He took time to listen to my questions and clearly answered my question about how long the pre-emergent crabgrass control would prevent my planting some grass seed. I appreciate all that he did today.

This is the start of our second year with TruGreen. We were very happy with and impressed by Philip the specialist who serviced our account and hope he will be the specialist who services our area for the entire season.

We use TruGreen for Mosquito control at a lake property and also our house with acres of land with woods and it s has worked to control mosquitoes!! Also- the weed spray on our gravel driveways is awesome !

First, I am only commenting on my attempt to get a quote for service. I cannot comment on the service itself as I never got that far. I have a large yard and wanted someone to come in person. I was passed on to 2 call centers. The 2nd one was a high pressure sales person pushing to do it all by phone. I reluctantly agreed. Then my order was never confirmed. No account. No invoice, but my credit card was billed. When they could not rectify. I just decided to cancel. That is when the salesperson ghosted me. I requested to cancel through customer service. Instead of an apology, I got another high pressure call to reconsider. No thanks. If you try, just be prepared for high pressure sales tactics.

Showed up right at the top of the expected hours window, quick, efficient, and kept me in the loop. Highly recommend.

Our lawn always looks gorgeous!!

I used TrueGreen for years now!! They did my house in Illinois and now my place in Mosinee Wisconsin!! If I had any issues they would always respond quickly and take care of my issues!! They hire very pleasant ,professional and knowledgeable employees!! I have used different companies and was very disappointed!! I recommend TrueGreen to all of my friends and family!!

After the service , I just love the results.

I called to get a quote and they said they want to do Aerating, grub treatment, weed treatment, fertilizer etc. All that is fine they gave me a price but I wanted them to email me a list of the things they want to do so I could talk about it with my fiancee and decide if I want to spend that much money. They kept pushing scheduling treatments and prepaying for the first session and if I didnt want to continue I wouldnt have to pay etc etc. All I want is the info in a written form to look over and they would not supply it. Eventually I just hung up and am not going to use their services.

I am pleased. I tried a few other lawn services and it didnt go so well. Tru Green wants to make you happy. I had concerns with my lawn. A young man went over my lawn with me and answered what he could. He took pics and said hed talk to his boss about things he wasnt sure of. So I was happy there would be followup.

Very shortly after our initial treatment it rained hard for 30+ minutes and I feared their chemicals had been washed away prematurely. Less than seven days later, Tru Green reapplied the weed killer chemicals at no addl charge.

The results are ok (improving, not great) but the communication needs a lot of work. I have never seen or talked to in-person an employee of TruGreen.

The absolute BEST!!!! Everyone compliments on our lawn... but really, we owe it to TruGreen!! And all of the wonderful specialists that make it possible!!! The time we save not having to do it, or reading all of the bags of fertilizer is a real game changer.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!! TRUGREEN WILL TRICK YOU INTO SUSPENDING YOUR SERVICE, BUT THEN IN TURN NOT CONTACT YOU FOR A VERBAL AUTORIZATION TO CONTINUE SERVICES. So by the time you know it, they will show up to your property, treat it and then bill you for it. VERY MISGUIDED INFORMATION GIVEN TO ME ABOUT HOW THEY SUSPEND YOUR ACCOUNT UNTIL YOU AUTHORIZE SERVICES. TruGreen needs to work in training their sales/customer support properly, so that they dont give customers misguided information. Oh and then they make notes in their system that are not accurately reflecting the actual conversation you had with them, so it have the upper hand. They were not willing to credit my account, so I closed my account. They are overpriced and the quality of their products and services is poor. My lawn looks the same. A patch that I specifically asked a tech about in my backyard, still looks yellow. My flowering tree looked half dead this year, it did not blossom or have leaves, so much for their tree and shrub service from the prior year. And yes, I did mention this to the tech that was on-site. TAKE YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE AND DO NOT GET INTO A SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE PLAN WITH THEM, THEYLL KEEP CHARGING YOU WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION, BUT WONT TELL YOU THAT.

Good communication and I am still concerned about our weed problem. We have had our regular summer treatment from Trugreen for our lawn and the tech keeps telling us we have a weed problem and need follow up. Your tech Matthew came today (09/08/23) applying fertilizer and weed control. He again mentioned our weed problem today (09/08/23) and that we need follow up treatment. My service tech, Joel B, is excellent! Friendly, professional, knowledgeable, kind, and always has a smile. He reminds me that my dog gates are open, when he leaves. He even brought my garbage can up to the house for me. I really appreciate him and hope that he stays my tech! He deserves a raise - he s the best I ve had. Above and beyond!!

Tru Green did an excellent job of coming very early in the Spring before any weeds even had a chance. They were thorough and also fertilized the lawn. We also appreciated the advice left for us on our lawn and we took that advice and trimmed the trees around the outskirts of the lawn to provide more light on the grass. Our lawn looks very, very, nice this summer!

They do a good job and use products that work

I respect this company for honoring my one-time service contract and not charging me for on-going basis. I signed up for the one time service this time last year and received an automated voicemail the other day from an unknown number that this service would be performed the next day. Thinking it was spam I did not respond. Well the dude showed up and started aerating my lawn! Not cool. I was able to resolve this quickly with TruGreens customer service team and my wait was less than 1 minute.

Got the automatic plan with 7 applications for 2 Years and they still havent gotten rid of my weeds. Hopefully by the end of this year

This is my first year using TruGreen Lawn Care. They did a good job and Im seeing improvements in my lawn after the first year. The scheduled appts which were roughly once per month were kept without having to call them. They advised ahead of time when they were coming and always left a detailed description of what they did. All of the guys were professional and courteous. Overall great job! The weeds which were abundant are thinner now and the turf is looking thicker and greener. I will most likely renew my contract with them next spring.

Signing up is quick and easy, but try to cancel even a single service(we have two services) Is like trying to leave a cult. I spent an hour on-line yesterday only to get an email today to call back to Actually Cancel and so far it has been several hours. They will only talk to you if you are adding another service or signing up. I had no problems with the service, they were great. But now instead of just canceling the one service, I am cancelling everything. So unless you want their service until you die. Do not sign up. Their tactic is to hope you just get frustrated an give up.

Results...thats what I like!! We used a different service previously and did NOT get results. With TruGreen, we are seeing improvement in just one year and look forward to seeing what more is ahead.

Continual Calling for service to be scheduled. Service was 8-10 weeks apart but suppose to be 4-6 weeks. Customer service never let me speak to a manager about a full refund which I feel I m due with the horrible service I received! Spaced so far apart could not have been effective. To cancel was like pulling teeth and may take 2 weeks to hopefully get my money back! My sister, neighbor & I all canx for poor service & scheduling! Don t bother!

This company does an absolutely super job. Our lawn has never looked so good .

I use this service with confidence. Fertilization is keeping the lawn in good shape and color and reseeding is necessary for growth. The dandelion weed killer is second to none. In a few years there are none to be seen, compared to my neighbor who did not have any service on their lawn.

We used Trugreen Lawn Care in 2018 and didnt sign up for there services in 2019... but they went ahead and sent over a lawn care representative to service our lawn anyways. If I wouldnt of caught it they would of charged me for the service, even without my consent. Not a very smart way to run a business.

Sales people are extremely pushy and try to get you to commit right away without allowing you to do research. I received over 10 phones calls from them and told them I was not interested. I received more phones calls and when I told them I had talked to another associate and was not interested, the associate told me he only called twice and hung up on me. They are rude, unorganized and over priced. Avoid them!

This is my first year with TruGreen. So far they have been out to visit and or perform services three times and I have been very pleased with each service package. I highly recommend TryGreen to everyone. Thank you very much TruGreen!

I called 2 weeks before my service to request fertilizer only. I was reseeding my lawn and I couldnt have Crabgrass Preventer put down. They told me that they would put it on my service ticket but it never got put on and they did it anyways. When I called to ask them about it they said it wasnt a problem I could still put grass seed down. I questioned them and told them that the grass seed companies say you have to wait, he told me the chemicals they use wouldnt prevent the seed from growing. The day I was going to rent a seeder and spend $200 on seed I decided to call the 1-800 number and ask them to be sure. They told me that the branch manager was wrong, I could not put grass seed down for at least 30 days. Thats when I canceled my service because if they cant get simple things right I dont want them to take care of my lawn .

We just recently hired TruGreen Lawn Care and we are very satisfied with there professionalism and how well our lawn is already looking. We built 3 years ago and tried everything to get out lawn to be weed free and to grow. We just were not getting it right. I love the way the lawn is looking now and the weeds are disappearing. It is really nice and thick. I highly recommend there service.

The employees of TruGreen gave us a very good experience with their service. They listened if we had an issue and did what needed to be done. The last company we had destroyed our lawn by putting to many treatments on it at one time. TruGreens applications made our lawn look beautiful. We had to do a lot of reseeding and they always worked with us so we could reseed certain sections. We will definitely be having them come back in 2020. Very good customer service.

Very pleased with TruGreen

They sprayed our neighbors yard and twice I had to request that they stay back from the lot line as they were spraying near my organic garden and raspberries. They then hid the treatment signs in tall grasses so anyone walking on the lot for sale wouldnt see it. They also sprayed a friends yard in end of March and next day it snowed washing all the spray off. Save yourself headaches and work with a more professional business.

I am very satisfied with my mosquito treatment. It is very worth the price and keeps our place mosquito free between treatments. The specialists that treat my place really know what they are doing because I very rarely see a mosquito since they started treating my place. This is what me and my family wanted because we like to play outside with our dogs and toddler and before we signed up with TruGreen we couldnt go outside without being annoyed and bitten multiple times by mosquitos. And now we can go out and spend hours doing yard work or playing and not get a single bite!

The specialist arrived during the morning. She was efficient and in spite of a malfunction with equipment on the truck did a marvelous job. She answered all of my questions about the application for that day and also recommendations for a couple of problem areas. Excellent job.

The quality of service this season has been exceptional. If I am at home when the service is provided, the specialists are helpful and answer all of my questions and concerns. The people treating my lawn are not just doing a job, they take an interest in the health of the grass or the trees, bushes, etc. I am comfortable discussing with them the best care for my lawn.
