We hired Tim Johnson Landscaping to replace a 20+ year old backyard driveway that had become terribly unlevel and broken down. Old turfstones had cracked and heaved due to tree root intrusion making the drive unlevel and almost unusable. Jack sent Cesar and his crew to help us. This included removal of the entire turfstone drive, removal of all the huge roots in both the drive area and a nearby garden bed and digging trenches to lay wire in conduit. That was just the prep work. Cesar then meticulously measured, leveled, and worked alongside his crew to rebuild a new stone drive for us. They labored hard for a full week in both sun and rain. Throughout, they listened to any concerns or questions we had and adjusted to accommodate those needs as they worked, finishing just before we got 7 inches of hurricane rain. The drive held up beautifully and not an ounce of mud was seen. We highly recommend Tim Johnson Landscaping. They truly care about providing the best customer service. We had a wonderful experience.
Potential customer lost. How your company is represented should be a top priority. One of your vehicles (presumably one of yours due to the labels on the vehicle had your company name and logo) nearly ran me off the road. No blinker, no warning and was extremely close to rear ending a semi truck in the process. I will never use your services nor will recommend you to anyone looking. Also I have the license plate as well, assuming you care which driver it was!
I hired Tim Johnson landscaping to repair my back yard that was destroyed by a company that expanded my current patio. Needless to say, my yard was a nightmare. The patio company brought in bad topsoil that was loaded with rocks and the dirt harden so much so that grass was unable to grow. The workers of Tim Johnson Landscaping, showed up on schedule worked extremely hard for two days in 96-97° each day removing bad soil, bringing in clean top soil and sand in order to lay down new sod throughout my back yard. Words cannot express my gratitude for the hard work these men put in to make my back yard stunning. If you are looking for a landscaping company, I would, without hesitation, hire this company. I was behind this compan y's vehicle on the interstate large truck pulling a dump trailer as all the debris flew out. I looked at the driver indicating what was going on. He obviously knew but didn't stop to pull over as he scattered debris plastic across interstate 77 causing an accident. If this is how they drive I would not recommend using them as a service
When we began looking for a landscaping service, as opposed to mow and blow, Tim Johnson was the only landscaping service that gave us the time of day. Our front yard (as well as two pine trees) suddenly started dying (as well as two pine trees) and we were willing to look at anything, including hard scaping. Initially, Greylin came out and said, yes, the best thing was to try and fix the "lawn" and hard scaping was not needed. They have begun the repair process this year, and we are up to having them aerate and seed. We also had them mulch some areas in the front as will as help save our pines. So while we are waiting for what we know is a long process to build a lawn I can safely say they did a great job mulching and tree saving. They didn't stint on the mulch, doing a great job clearing weeds and spreading it. They also took the time to really look at the pine trees and come up with an application that really helped. And the team definitely shares information about what they are doing and what you can do to make all this work for us. Once the lawn starts coming in over the next year I would be glad to share before and afters. Thanks! OMG. Less than one year into this and I have a lawn! This is amazing!
May 16th at family dollar in Hudson your workers decided to weed eat and throw grass and whatever else on my borrowed car (mine in shop) a car that has 6000 miles on it so practically brand new Malibu. I would never weed eat or mow if someone's car was around for the sake of damaging it. This store was not busy and they could have weed eated somewhere else until I left. Most people go into the dollar store for a quick pick up trip so don't take long. No respect for people's belongings. You should speak to your employees. And yes I have pictures if you want to see them Update: sent pics to owner. His reply was very generous and humble so I am changing my review from 3 stars to 4 in hopes he keeps his word to speak to employees.
Please take the time to check out Tim Johnson Landscaping. I had such a positive experience I wanted to share this with others. I recently called to enquire about Dogwood trees that I wanted to purchase for my husband for Valentine's Day. I spoke to one of the most kindest and patient person who took time to answered all my questions. Tim immediately sent me pictures of the trees he had in stock and was able to offer those to me within my budget range. When I went to pick them up I was warmly greeted and welcomed. We all know that is not always the case at other places. Often you have to hunt an employee and then load your own items regardless of how heavy they are. That is not the case at Tim Johnson Landscaping. I felt as if all my questions were important and they were certainly answered in a professional manner. There is spacious parking. It is a clean, organized and well maintained business. No matter how big or small your landscaping needs are Tim Johnson Landscaping is a place to check out. I sincerely hope you will take the time to stop by. You will not be disappointed.
Tim Johnson has been great to work with over the past couple of years. My lawn always looks great from our twice monthly lawn service that he provides. We also appreciated his attention to detail with a yearly tree trimming. Our Yard looked so much better after trimming was done. Highly recommend their services. Their prices are also very fair.
Unethical company. Their crew was working on my neighbors yard and their crew used my portajohn and dumpster that I was paying for during my home renovation. Which is illegal, by the way.
One of their vehicles decided to ride up on me for no reason, riding my tail. Driving like a maniac! Reckless Driving with your business name on your vehicle, not a good idea! Planning major landscaping in spring. Wont be using this company with a bearded man who drives with such disregard for others
They did a bad job cutting my yard
I was charged for several things that were not done (drainage and plants) - the owner has been saying hes been conducting an audit for a year. Definitely a scam - he was recommended by a popular landscape designer Hugh Crump and its a shame because its been a terrible experience and a rip off.

Have been using this company for the past 2 years. At first things were good, but never great. Communication is very lacking. They expect me to have repairs done to my home where they damaged siding and bill them. Unacceptable. When pulling weeds from beds, the pulled lillies just coming up for season, chopped one off with weedeater in another location and the list goes on. Havent gotten a return call from our manager in almost a year. No longer recommend this company.

Here is a summary of why I would encourage anyone to never procure any services from this company: 1) Multiple times of parking equipment either blocking the street or directly in front of my driveway. Tried multiple times between talking with the crew to calling the TJL offices. It seems to have sunk in. 2) TJL acted as a sub-contractor for landscape design company. Had I known TJL was the sub I wouldnt have engaged the desigher. With no notice or warning they showed up one morning to do construction including a skid steer, large dump truck and other medium sized construction equipment. There was no signed contract I cannot confirm this, but apparently the project manager responsible for scheduling jobs was relieved of their duties later on. Regardless, and despite whatever the youngest Johnson thinks is our fault, they were responsible for the inability to call ahead and schedule the work. TJL then did such a bad job laying the sod - not graded, no top soil, dry sod coming off of the truck, no fertilizer - that the sod died after two weeks. Initially they accused me of not water the sod and then, once they saw it, accused me of over-watering. Well, which is it? Did I mention I followed their exact directions for water - 2x daily for 20 minutes each time. Now, three weeks have gone by after we inquired about the sod and havent heard anything back. Finally, I spent about two hours picking cigarette filters up off of the ground. That was a lot of smoke breaks. 3) Before the debacle in item #2, TJL capped off our irrigation at some point in June or July of which effectively killed any semblance of turf we had on the property. This resulted in only the weeds surviving and turning our lawn in to a whos who of the North Carolina weed community. I would encourage anyone to avoid TJL.
I had an appointment on Friday October 1st around 5:30 p.m. The sales man called to confirm appointment which I confirmed and about 5 minutes later he called back to reschedule due to his fiance having a flat tire We rescheduled for monday October 4th around the same time. No one called to confirm appointment or showed up for the appointment. There are multiple companies That do hardscape work. We will find somebody else...
They give good service.
I called last week to make an appointment to have someone come out and give me a quote on a total lawn renovation and the secretary said someone would get back to me the following week. When the next week came around, I waited 3 business days before calling back. I wondered if my name had just fallen through the crack and the secretary asked me to wait, she checked with someone, came back to the phone and said Mr. Johnson will give you a call Thursday or Friday. I still havent heard from anyone. This is no way to treat a potential customer. Even if they dont want to do my yard or if they are too busy, a call back would have been great. The pics of his work look good, but how dependable is a business that wont return the common inquiry?

Great company. They always seem to do great work. I have seen several locations where they are performing their work, and whether its been irrigation install or basic maintenance, it all always turns out looking great. They have a crew in Mocksville working on the new rec center that I had the pleasure of talking to on their lunch break. Patrick was very knowledgeable and informative about what they were doing there. And another crew member Alex was very polite and respectful and didnt seem to mind me bothering him during his lunch break The baseball feild they just finished looks great! Way to go TIM JOHNSON LANDSCPING!! Keeping our beautiful state in great condition!!!
We moved into our new house in March and began looking for a landscaping company that could improve our grass, perform weekly grass cutting as well as some landscaping work (flower beds as well as installing a new hardacape patio). We are so glad we were able to find Tim Johnson Landscaping! Tim has been great to deal with, taking the time and explaining what should be done and going through various options. He and his crews have been very professional and if something isn t done to Tim s high standards they correct it as soon as possible. If you are looking for grass cutting or landscaping my wife and I would highly recommend Tim Johnson Lanscaping!
After we paid him $55 a month for 10 months with very few results, he decided on a whim to terminate his services to us right before the seeding season. Now our crabgrass & clover problem is even worse than it was 10 months ago. It seems to me that all Mr. Johnson cares about is maximising his own profits.

As an engineer inspecting SCMs, many times we need to provide our clients with a reputable contractor to repair or place elements within a SCM. Tim Johnson understands and has the technical background and common sense to make it happen. I also recommend them as a landscaping contractor, they are thoughtful and do a thorough job. They have my highest recommendation
I live in the Cypress Landing Drive Community in Mooresville, N.C., and Domecio and Kyle were heroes for me today. They retrieved a large Pine limb from the tree in back of my house today that was hanging dangerously close to one of my windows.They worked so hard and never complained about the heat. They loaded it on their trailer to be hauled away. I made their picture to send to our HOA office in Charlotte. I live in a community known as Cypress Landing in Mooresville, NC. Tim Johnson Landscaping does our landscaping for our community. I would like to acknowledge two employees, Domecio and Kyle for removing a large Pine limb from a tree in back of my neighbors house that could have done some extensive damage to her house, Please acknowledge them for their hard work.
The company was at a business in town walking around on their cell phones in the middle of a parking lot not paying attention to any vehicles dangerous guys dangerous
