Thank goodness for Southfork Trees 24/7 emergency service!! When I had a tree fall through my roof in the middle of the night, Doug kept a bad situation from getting way worse. He answered right away, came quickly (again, this was legitimately the middle of the night), and did a great job taking care of the immediate problem and tarping the roof. Then he came back the next day - when he had planned to have a day off - to remove the rest of the tree, expertly avoiding more damage despite the position of the fallen tree. He was straightforward about pricing and such a nice guy to boot! Definitely recommend.

We had Southfork Tree Services our to trim a large maple in our front yard that is on the decline, but we wanted to save. Doug came out an listened to our concerns and desires for the tree, and provided a very reasonable quote. We had a bit of a delay due to some equipment repair needed (a lift to reach the limbs but not damage out lawn), but Doug was quick to communicate an manage our expectations. We are very pleased with the final result and would recommend Southfork Tree to anyone looking for good work at a reasonable rate.

I required emergency tree service, and I am very thankful that I found Southfork Tree & Landscaping. I had a tree on my property that was falling and needed to come down as soon as possible to prevent damage to neighboring properties and/or injury. It was a dangerous job as power lines were also mixed inside of it. Doug was quick to respond on a Sunday, and did a terrific job at a very reasonable price. We had two silver maples that were weak and loosing branches. The one had several power lines running through it. We had half a dozen tree services come out, none would even give me a bid to remove it because of the power lines. Doug and his crew safely removed both trees with no problem. Great service by the Southfork team. Tree fell in the middle of the night on 5/8, called them same day, they were able to come out and give a very reasonable estimate. They then were able to come back the next day (5/9) and get the tree completely removed, excellent work.

When Doug came to remove a massive tree at my neighbors house, I was very concerned about 2 trees that I felt needed immediate removal. Doug said that he could possibly remove them the following week depending on the weather. A very large tree branch blew off the neighbors tree and landed on the top of my moms house Saturday (7/29/23) by way of Mother Nature herself. I came home to my house, started Googling tree removal services and narrowed it down to Southfork based on the wonderful reviews. I called around 8:30 that night and a man answered. I said Hi!, is this Doug? He said Yes it is and I said Then you are the man I need to talk to that has all of the great Google reviews. LOL I told him the situation and me knowing that there were people who were in more dire need than us that night (trees through their roofs, windows, what have you) he set up a time for me to call him Sunday after church service. He wound up being on his way to another job by time I called him that ran late and we agreed to meet up Monday. This man was trying to get his dire emergencies done and I was fine with that because it shows that he prioritizes for his customers. Like I said, the large branch was only laying on moms roof and there were no holes that needed to be covered. It wasnt going anywhere. Other people were not so fortunate. He texted me Monday around the planned time frame, that he was headed our way. I met him at moms and before I knew it, he was already on the roof investigating. He had the branch cut up and on the ground in a matter of minutes. Clean up went fast. He took a few minutes to look at another tree in her yard that I desperately want gone. Its out of control and is a mosquito attractor. Well address that tree at a near future date. Doug even took an old large limb that had fallen during the last storm, just to discard it for me since he was already there anyway. Im not saying hell haul everyones loads of limbs for free every time, he still needs to make money to run his business but it was only one branch so he did it as a courtesy. The problem with so many other companies anywhere is that they lack professional and personal courtesy. I would definitely call Doug again in the future. I have to call him again anyway. I want that stupid Ash tree (or whatever it is) gone and murdered. The leaves put off a nasty odor too. Thank you so much, Doug and your helper today. It was early evening after normal work hours, and we were stuck after a huge limb on our oak tree snapped and fell on the hood of our vehicle parked in the driveway, and extended across the other side of the driveway blocking our vehicle in the garage from being able to get out. Called Southfork and Doug answered right away. Texted him some pics of our situation and he said I ll be there in about an hour. He showed up timely, was very safe and professional, and got the limb safely removed, cut up, and hauled off everything including the smallest debris. A tree by our fence that is in the neighbors yarn was dead and needed to be removed. We had the neighbors permission to have this done. Southfork Tree Service was doing a job across the street and my husband asked if they could cut the tree down and remove the tree. We were given a very good bid and the work was done that day. The tree was removed, and the yard was cleaned up. They were very professional and got it done quickly. If anyone asked about tree removal, I would definitely recommend Southfork Tree Services.

I had a large tree fall on my property during the recent storms and that caused a chain reaction of other trees falling -- including one that crashed through my fence and came to rest on my third-story roof. I called Southfork on that Saturday and got a quick response and inspection. Using its lift, Southfolk got that tree off my house the next day after the storms finally passed and cut up and removed all the branches that fell across my fence line. I recommend Southfork for emergency help with fallen trees.

Southfork was amazing! We had several bids for tree removal and stump removal at our office park. Southfork came in WAY under the other four bids. He did the work after hours as to not disturb our office and there was not even a single scrap of tree left on our parking lot. I have already recommended him twice. We used Southfork to cut two trees. Doug was very responsive and the clean up was well done. Doug was very courteous also. Doug is going to return asap to cut one more tree. We highly recommend Doug as he has done tree pruning for us several times and knows the proper way to prune trees (does not leave them looking like a bunch of celery). He has removed 5 trees for us over the years. Today he removed a triple River Birch in the front yard that we planted 25 years ago and did his typical professional job. Great work. Good guys. Great price. I had Doug trim our River Birch last summer and it looked great. At that time we were on the fence on whether to cut it down because it had several dead limbs...but we decided to keep it and see what happens.This spring, the River Birch did not produce leaves on several branches and it was clear that it was dying. We decided to have the River Birch removed. Doug gave me a quote to take it down and subtracted what we paid him to trim it last summer... which was not an expectation on my part. Doug and his crew do very good and careful work. The River Birch was not easy to get to so they took it down in manageable pieces to prevent damage to the surroundings. Southfork trimmed 1 Maple and 3 Pin Oak trees. Doug has made them beautiful again. I was ready to chop them down but he has opened up our view, removed dead branches, thinned them out, and removed limbs close to the house and close to street traffic. While doing this he re-shaped the trees. I am truly amazed at how nice the trees look now. Doug went above and beyond all that we requested. Doug and his crew are hard workers and pleasant to work with. They also have a 75 foot mobile spider lift that can get through a standard fence gate (~36 inches). This is the second time we have come to Doug to take care of our trees.

Doug did an excellent job removing four trees from my recently purchased home in South County. Two of the trees were within 10 feet of my home and were at least 40 feet tall. I had the good fortune to hire Southfork Tree & Landscaping to remove a large dead tree from my yard. Doug bid on the project and gave me a possible date to perform the work. In a recent storm one of our very large trees fell across our front yard onto our neighbor s roof. Despite the continuing heavy rain (and occasional lightening), Doug came quickly and began work to remove some of the heavier limbs on the roof. This is the third time weve used Dougs services, and he always does a great job. This time, we had two mature Sweet Gum trees with dead branches, including one large one that was hanging down from storm damage. Doug came to our house two Sundays in a row--the first time to look at the trees, give a bid, and to remove the lower branches that were hanging and/or dead, and the second time with his lift to cut the remaining dead branches that were much higher up. During the night a large branch from our Bradford pear tree had fallen and landed on our fence and was hanging well into our neighbor s yard. My husband put in a call to Southfork Tree Service about 9 am and by late afternoon our problem had totally been taken care of. The owner worked alone and not only took care of that branch but also removed a dead limb from another tree and removed a branch that had fallen on our deck 3 weeks ago. (We had called a well-known tree service and were told it would be taken care of later that week, but we were still waiting.) Southfork took care of EVERYTHING, including fixing our fence and blowing leaves off our deck! And he did all of this with a smile and complete professionalism on a very hot Sunday of a holiday weekend. I would happily recommend this business to anyone who needs trees worked on!

Southfork came by and trimmed a few branches off two walnut trees in our yard. We got quotes from about 5 different companies and Southfork was by far the lowest price. They are not going to upsell you or try to convince you that more work needs to be done. They even tried to talk us out of additional trimming. They answered all of my questions and even climbed back up on our roof to check on our gutter guards. To top it all off, they blew our leafs completely free of charge. I cant say enough good things about their service and will certainly be using Southfork for any future tree trimming/removal needs.

A tree on a hill at the side of my house was in danger of falling after the roots were exposed by severe erosion. Doug responded by carefully removing the tree without endangering my house using equipment with a lift and bucket. He was meticulous in removing all the limbs and branches and per my request, cut the trunk into fireplace-sized pieces for my use. He cleaned up and I was pleased at his extra effort to leave my property clear of all debris. Doug was personable and seemed extremely knowledgeable. His price was fair and I will definitely use Southfork Tree Services for any future tree trimming and removal work.

I would highly recommend Southfork Tree Services to my family, friends, and anyone else who is looking for the services they offer. We had a 50 foot tree fall on our house last Monday night, August 10th and we knew that we had to get the tree off of our house that night before it did even more damage. I started looking for companys and reading reviews and decided to give Doug from Southfork a call. He was at our house within an hour and reassured us that he would get everything taken care and things would be alright. My anxiety level was going through the roof at the time and all I could think about about was this tree is going to cave in my second floor. Doug returned within an hour with a crane and went right to work. Keep in mind it was still raining and completely dark when he returned. After a couple hours the tree was off the house and he removed it in a manner that there was no additional damage. He came the next day and cleaned up the entire yard and it was as if nothing ever happened. Doug is a true professional and he earned my respect that night and the following day. The owner works on the job site, making sure everything is done to perfection. They arrived on-time, communicated throughout the process and were very helpful to recommend what is best for your landscape. Very professional company to deal with. They removed several large trees over our barn and a huge oak tree near my house. I was concerned due to the location of these big trees and after seeing all the equipment and how they tie off each section at a time so nothing would hit the barn or my house it was amazing! I would definitely do buisness with them again!!

We love south fork. This is the second time we have used Doug. This was a difficult job. He took down 3 trees for us. There was a tree that was a hundred feet tall that was not very accessible it was down hill from our house and it was windy. But he got the job done. He cleans up after himself very nicely. Southfork Tree and Landscaping provided the best service I have received from any business working on my property. I recommend them 100% to anyone who needs any tree and/or landscaping work, and I do so without any hesitation because Mr. Alsip and his crew are extremely hard working, smart, honest, dependable, and treat you and your property with respect. Mr. Alsip removed a 63 year old maple tree that uprooted in our yard around 2:30 A.M. Doug Alsip called me within 20 minutes after making an emergency call to him at 3 A.M. He arrived promptly to assess the situation and provided me with reasonable options and even offered to bend out the gutter damage that occurred when a different tree branch fell on the roof weeks earlier since I told him I was having trouble getting the contractor I hired to fix the damage to come out and repair it. He wrote up a precise work order in the rain, during 30 degree weather for me. The next day, every single piece of the massive tree vanished, and Dougs team made sure that my neighbors who had debris from my tree was cleared as well. There was zero damage to my yard because the tools used to remove the massive tree were appropriate for the large task. The crew even cleaned my neighbors debris that he saw laying in her yard because he wanted to help her out--and he did that out of the goodness of his heart. Within a day after the tree was hauled away, I had the massive hole left from the uprooted tree filled and repaired with sod and seed that matched my lawn perfectly. We have hired Doug Alsop at Southfork Tree Services to remove a large tree. The bid Doug gave us was very competitive. We are extremely satisfied with Dougs work. He went over and above what was expected. He cleaned up all waste and left our yard looking great. I will hire him again without hesitation.

Called for some storm damage late on a Saturday - he was the only company of 5 that actually answered the phone - was finishing another clean-up and came by. I was just expecting an estimate but he said he would take care of things right now - and promptly did a great job. And it wasnt just a couple of small limbs - but a huge limb from my neighbors giant pin oak that was still partially connected to the tree and suspended in my maple. We were so impressed, my neighbor asked for a bid to trim and clean up the pin oak because another company she had contacted never showed up to do the work. And now she has a signed contract!
