Quiet Village Landscaping recently completed a major job in our backyard, which included leveling a six foot drop-off, building a 67 foot long retaining wall and installing a 4 foot aluminum fence. The result was a gorgeous backyard completed in a professional manner. Dennis has a done a great job with chemical maintenance of our lawn. After less than one year our lawn looks better and we receive many compliments from neighbors.

We started using Quiet Village services last Spring and have been very pleased and impressed with every aspect and person that we interact with. We have handed over mowing, monthly lawn maintenance and now irrigation to Quiet Village. Each department, is knowledgable, helpful, communicative and just really great people! From scheduling to plan execution everything has gone very well. They all care as if it was their own property, which is hard to find! Starting with Ethan who set up our plan, answered lots of questions and helped us fine tune exactly what we needed with our property, to then Michelle who manages everything so well. Since we were so happy with all of this work, we decided to talk with the QV irrigation dept. about problems we have had with our sprinklers for years and paid another company a lot of money, to fix. Josh, came out and did a thorough walk through with us, made a plan and was very helpful in problem solving! He was quick to answer any questions we had later and very easy to work with. Mark came out to work on the many issues found with our irrigation system. He worked long and hard to make things right. I was very impressed with the amount of time he spent, not just to patch the problem that the other company had been doing for years, but actually fixing the root cause of the problem. He was very kind and easy to work with. Our experience with QV has been above and beyond my what I expected when I first reached out in the Spring.

A crew of only 2 men, Rosendo and Gabino, cleared out my overgrown flower beds & magically made all my leaves disappear. My whole yard looks beautiful thanks to Quiet Village Landscaping!

A couple of days ago, that worker from your company on W Kingsbury Ave blown out leaves from neighbors driveway to my front yard. To my asking do not to do it he just turned back from me and said that everything is OK. Inspide on some positive experience with you I am strongly disappointed attitude of your employees and hardly ever turn to you back again.

Rene, Luis G, And Sergio did a great job with my project. The stones are lovely, and Im anxious to see how they and the pits they dug for overflow water work when we get heavy rain. I appreciate their using leftover sod to fill in where previous rains had washed and eroded the turf.

The Quiet Village team did a great job transforming our yard. They removed an old wooden tie wall and replaced with new retaining wall and steps per our design ideas. Everything turned out excellent. Felipe and Miguel were always pleasant and easy to work with!

Quiet village install a rain garden and berm for us. Rene, Rosendo and Julio did an incredibly professional job. The berm may just be a big pile of dirt, but its almost a work of art.

On a Thursday afternoon, James and I walked my property and he noted the areas that needed attention as well as my concerns about how certain plants should be handled. The next morning, Matt and Fletcher arrived and went right to work. James had already informed them about the tasks they were to complete. Matt and Fletcher have several years of experience and were knowledgeable about the plants and how to care for them. In just a few hours, they had the place looking better than ever. I couldnt be more pleased. JULY 2022 - UPDATE Last fall, Quiet Village installed a stone walkway and a patio with a firepit and sitting wall. At the same time, they added flower beds around the patio and the periphery of the property. They came back in the spring to spruce things up. This month they add a other flower bed along the back of the house. They added additional plants to the existing beds and made everything look new again. Just yesterday, two different neighbors stopped to inquire about Quiet Village. As I previously stated, I couldnt be more pleased On Friday June 21, 2024, I sent a text to Quiet Village Landscaping and asked that they trim the Boxwood hedges in my front yard. I got a quick reply indicating that a note was added to the gardening instructions. A few days later, there was a text indicating that a gardening crew would be on-site the next day. They did all the normal gardening and they did an outstanding job on the hedge. Thank you Victor T., Raudel & Gabino. They didnt leave any clippings from the hedge. Id also like to thank the person or people that monitor the text messages. They are very courteous, helpful and quick to respond.

I will start out by saying I am VERY picky. Having said that, this company and the job they did was amazing Felipe and Miguel, who were the two workers were really artists. One of my neighbors even commented on how hard they worked. I have gotten nothing but compliments from my neighbors. Several have asked for the company name. This is unquestionably the most favorable review Ive ever written and this company definitely deserves it. Theres absolutely nothing negative. I could say they are great if youre thinking of doing some landscaping and you dont go with this company youre crazy.

Great customer experience. First time irrigation system owners and our first year was a disaster. This year we called Quiet Village and now we feel like our system is an asset and not a liability. Our family engaged Quiet Village to do some landscaping. Stone border around a planted area. Trenton was very helpful in providing a reasonable proposal and explained the process well. Had Quiet Village come out to repair an underground irrigation line damaged when I had a tree removed. Mike and Mark located the break, fixed the line, and gave my whole system a pre-season tune up (realigned and replaced sprinkler heads as needed). They did a fantastic job, and the whole system is working great! Highly recommend!!

Very pleased with the design process with Josh. He answered all of our questions and proposed a sprinkler system that satisfied all of our concerns. Miguel and Xavier worked tirelessly under rainy and muddy conditions for the install. Despite the mud, they cleaned up after they were finished each day and completed the installation sooner than we expected.

From design and CAD drawing to final punchlist items they were a pleasure to work. Lots of creative suggestions we accepted. Sergio and Luis did most of the hard work and cared about the quality of their work and were very talented. The final result is great and adds so much value to our house. I was looking for a truly professional company and QVL bubbled up to the top of the list. I wanted to get things moving quickly, and Spencer was at my house early on moving in day to give me maintenance options. My sub-contracted movers decided to walk off the job before work began, and when Spencer arrived, he saw me moving all my belongings by myself. Without hesitation, Spencer offered to help not only in that moment, but also to come back at the end of the day to assist. There was no way I was going to use another company after that experience. I wanted removal of large areas of scrub groundcover in my front yard. I contacted Trent Johnson, Account Manager, and he came out to view the property. He promptly provided an estimate via email - i accepted and provided a down payment. Within a week I heard back from Quiet Village that they had a crew available the next day. Manuel, crew chief, Pablo and Angel went to work and by days end they had removed the groundcover and placed top soil in those areas. They did a great job and cleaned up the area before leaving. I am very pleased by the work performed by Quiet Village and the prompt attention to the job by Trent Johnson and the crew led by Manuel.

Isaac and Manuel were fantastic and fast with my backyard clean out of an acre of woods cleaned in just 3 days!! Manuel and Pablo were fast and professional with removing the collapsed culvert and storm water issues that were plaguing my yard. They are why I will keep working with Quiet Village.

They hauled out the weeds and replanted a large area around the house and pool. Everything should be beautiful. Isreal and his team worked very hard to complete everything. He really cares about perfection.

Dennis does a wonderful job monthly maintaining my lawn with fertilizing, pest control and weed control. Always professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The Team of crew leader Nestor Mendizil did an excellent job with aerating and seeding especially on my two tier hill!! I would highly recommend Quiet Village Landscaping for your lawn maintenance!!

Post Script: Quiet Village did reach out as mentioned below but I opted to keep paying my invoices by mail. We are still customers as they do a great job with the landscaping. The staff who come to our house do whats needed without specific direction from me. They are also thoughtful, e.g., during their last visit they took my empty trash bins from the curb to the back of the house. Quiet Village has been doing our landscaping since 2018. They have done a great job replacing our retaining walls, installing an irrigation system, designing plantings for our beds and maintaining them over the years. Crews that come on routine visits take the initiative to do trimming and other needed tasks without direction from me. We have not had as good an experience on the business side. We tried to switch to automatic payments from our checking account and that did not work very well. The payments appeared as an obscure business name on my checking account, and I did not recognize the amounts as being from Quiet Village, so I had my bank reverse them. When I tried to work this out with Quiet Village, they stopped responding to emails. I finally gave up and started paying by check. Im still a customer but I would have preferred to make automatic payments.

Highly Recommend James found some great plants for us to replace a few that had reached their end. He was prompt and worked with us on getting the job scheduled around some travel that we were doing. On the day of the job he came with Luis and Manuel to get the job started. Manuel and Luis did a great job in getting everything installed just right and did a wonderful job in resetting part of our brick walkway. I hope to see them again.

Daniel, Israel, and Guillermo did a great job. Michelle and Ali were great support too. The crew paid attention to detail and even pointed out things that we hadn t noticed. For example, we had a downspout that wasn t properly tied in that was causing some of our erosion. Daniel fixed it for us no problem. They were flexible, friendly, and worked with me throughout the project. I will hire them again.

James Prinster is a great communicator. It helped me to pick Quiet Village for my project knowing he would keep me up to date on progress. The crew ... Used quiet village this past year for all our estate management. Had trucks of mulch spread in flower beds, lawn mowing,maintenance (fertilization,aeration etc). Was very happy with the jobs they did. Sprinklers were broken and they were able to repair system immediately for the same cost as other companies ( who couldn t come for days). They don t just mow your lawn weekly, it s done more often whenever it is needed. I like that they email you after they ve been out to the property and what was done. Very good customer service. Only minus is that they are the most expensive company we have ever used.

My husband and I struggled for over 20 years to manage our backyard, which variously existed as a mud pit or a jungle of impenetrable weeds. We grew weary of our constant efforts and decided to call Quiet Landscaping based on the excellent work they did transforming our neighbors back yard to a city paradise. We have been entirely pleased with t he result. The owner responded promptly with a design and quote, both of which compared favorably to those of competitors. The construction crew, headed by Felipe and Angel, began work quickly. They worked fast, efficiently, and expertly. Every morning when I left early for work, they were already busy outside, even in inclement weather. By the time I came home at the end of the day, everything was tidy and waiting for their early start the next day. The end product is a beautiful backyard which we look forward to enjoying at leisure this summer instead of sweating and pulling weeds. Quiet Village just completed a patio and landscape project. Amazing work and responsive from beginning to end of the project. Phil sketched a design that fit exactly with what we wanted and the space. Nick was responsive and detail oriented as the project manager. Valentine and Rooster cut and shaped flagstone and created an amazing patio. My description of their work here cannot do it justice - true craftsmanship and perfection on the patio. Great job with Spring cleanup, transplanting a few bushes, and mulching throughout. They leveled and reseeded a mound from sewer excavation work done last summer. Juan and his team did a ton of work in one day. Josh was very thorough working with me through all the services. I wanted to give a shout out to your guys that were here yesterday, Josh and Orlando. They realized that the hill in our backyard was too wet to mow with the large mower. It would have torn it up pretty badly. Instead of leaving it for another day, which most people would have done, they got creative and cut it by hand with trimmers. So they not only got the job done, but did it in such a way to maintain the Integrity of my backyard. I just wanted to let you and Josh and Orlando know how much I appreciate the effort. I have been very pleased with Quiet Village so far! I have been working with Josh to completely redo our landscape design in our front yard. He was EXTREMELY thorough, I think we had an hour phone conversation one day about the types of plants and their positioning. I am not very knowledgeable in this subject so I trusted his expertise. His crew of Elias and Javier finished the landscaping this week and it looks stunning. Its exactly what I imagined; they worked fast and efficiently and did not leave a mess at all. I would definitely recommend them. We have also hired QV to maintain the plants, install a french drain, lawn care, and install landscape lighting.

They are great. We had the team of Orlando and Josh at our house and they did a good job and we re very responsive to some requests.

Simon and his crew did a spring cleanup/mulching on our yard. They worked for two days in 100 degree heat and made our yard look brand new.

Our sunken brick patio was removed and re-done by Ignacio and Radul. They did the whole job in 3 days and the results were better than expected. I work from home so was able to see their craftship. The work was careful, thoughtful and professional. They put a drain under the built-in firepit and left a load of rainbow rocks to be dumped in after the concrete fully dried. Additionally, they improved a drainage pipe that stuck out in our yard, left the damaged areas ready for easy seeding or planting, and stacked the extra bricks at the other side of the yard by our garage. In fact, when they saw the hodgepodge of bricks in our stack, they neatly redid the stack with matching bricks from the patio and hauled off the old nasty ones. When my next-door neighbor asked if she could have some of the materials they were removing, they were kind enough to load the rock into a wheelbarrow and take it to her yard. They answered all of our questions and asked for our preferences when it came time to pattern the layout of the patio bricks. Ignacio and Radul were friendly gentlemen who worked very hard and the results exceeded our expectation.

Very rarely in todays world do you find friendlier, harder working, competent, detail-oriented workers than the team from Quiet Village which remade our front and back yards into a stunning urban oasis. Valentin, Juan, Bernardo and Isaac: you guys are absolutely amazing!

I hired Quiet Village Landscaping to do a much needed Spring Clean Up for our front, side and back yards, and our patio. This included trimming, shaping and mulching hedges and bushes, tidying up the patio area, and general yard clean up. I was so pleased with the job Victor and Octavio did for me! The bushes were trimmed so nicely and the mulching included a very professional-looking shovel edging which I liked a lot! Victor checked with me every step of the way to make sure they were doing all that I wanted and the way I wanted it done. Their supervisor, Rene, stopped by to check on the job and make sure I was happy with it. Thank you for doing such a nice job and attention to detail! I have never been so impressed with a company from start to finish- the billing dept and customer service, Jessica, to the project manager, Chad, to the crew: Rene, Sergin, Luis, and Fermin. . . the crew worked non stop for 5 straight days in ridiculously hot weather. The cleaned up at the end of each day and were so pleasant and helpful! Id highly recommend this company.

James is always responsive and returns my inquiries in a timely manner. The crew arrived on time and graded my back yard and installed new sod. The work was done very well. I will continue to use Quiet Village for future landscaping needs.

We used Quiet Village to replace a sinking patio, add a retaining wall to ensure water is moved away from the foundation & to pour a small concrete pad for a rain barrel. Although some initial design elements required changes, they worked to keep us within our budget, suggesting options & alternative materials. The crew working on our project consisted of Crew Leader Rene Alvarado + Juan Reyes, Valentin Valdez, Daniel Cornejo & Daniel Cervantes and they were outstanding! Not just professional, but exceptional craftsman providing high quality workmanship. Our concern over root damage to a 100+ yr old white oak was taken seriously & they did excellent work, digging by hand, to address concerns with minimal impact. Our site did not have easy access and yet, 3 days later, you cant even see the extent of all the intense infrastructure work that occurred or the amount of materials used on site. And they were so patient with our little dog! I highly recommend this company with their quality workforce & would not hesitate to suggest them to friends & family. Quiet Village has been working with us in phases of a backyard redesign and refresh. Currently they have hardscaped a new patio and pavilion, cleaned and mulched several spaces, and are designing new spaces for our continuing redesign. Phil and his team have been incredibly responsive. The crews working our grounds are timely, respectful, courteous and quick! I very much enjoy all our interactions with QV, and have great trust in their design ideas and the quality of their work!

This is the company thats supposed to keep the walkway, steps and sidewalk clean for the apartments I live in. I think they may have cleaned them once tgis winter. Now here we are again waiting for them to clean off the walkways and stairs that havent been touched. Very hazardous to say the least. Bad service all around. Bad for business.

2 years ago, I worked with QVL and replaced my back yard grass lawn with a native garden. I originally worked with Karen for the design (no longer with QVL). It was a big project, and complicated, but turned out very well. They were going through a change with their accounting system, which created some annoying bumps, but in the end, it was all worked out and they handled it honestly. James P took over for Karen. This spring, James helped me again with some additional designing to my side and front areas- has great ideas, and very responsive. Simon and Fermin came out a few weeks ago and did the work- they were GREAT! They really listened to me, and the yard looks beautiful. Simon and Fermin are courteous and attentive with good skills. They do HARD work and are so friendly. The three of them helped to shape my ideas and make my yard look so great!

James and his crew of Henry, Luis and Alvaro did an outstanding job cleaning up my perennial beds and putting in some new plants. They removed all the weeds, which had really taken over; trimmed up the existing plants and put down new mulch. In addition, James was able to come up with some gift plants which would have been discarded if not used. They re a great addition to my beds. Additionally, one of the reasons the crew came out was to replace a shrub planted in the spring which had died. The plant they put in looks to be in great shape, and of course, there was no charge for the replacement. I recommend them highly,

I have had QV out three times since last Fall and all three times were very good. Starting with Design to support/communication and the field crews - i fully support them all. This last time, Jeff, the crew lead, and Dakota, his team were great. They worked hard; competed the job on time; were easy to talk to and flexible to do work as we discussed. Charlie in the office was great too. I would have Jeff and Dakota back at my house for any landscaping/maintenance project.

Quiet village is great to work with. We use them for mowing, lawn treatment, and occasional yard cleanups. They are not the cheapest, but their work is always outstanding. Communication from my account manager James has been great.

J.P. was very responsive while collaborating back and forth with me to find the right landscape design for our new build. It was a blank slate and he was able to transform and work well to negotiate and accommodate what I had envisioned. The installers Simon, Fermin and Julio were very professional and did quality work, taking their time to be precise with the design. I would highly recommend working with Quiet Village for landscaping/plant installation. They were very knowledgeable on the plants as well.

This is the second large project these folks have done for me and I once again, I am amazed at the transformation they performed in my yard. They do it right and it shows!

Retaining Wall completed yesterday. Aesthetics - judge for yourself these green and white pipes (not only odd but also not matching color) unevenly spaced throughout the wall. No formal design, conflicting communications here and there. Trying to figure out why there was space left between the existing fence and the wall found county requirements and learned that in spite of PM assuring permit would not be needed due to height - it would be required based on 2 criteria of the construction I am seeing plus the zoning request - both needed to start the construction which was obviously not done. Brought it to PMs attention. He suggested that if I wanted that addressed I should come up with $1.6K more money for permit paperwork plus any expenses in case inspector wants to bring it to Code and he is likely to require them to rebuild the whole thing. Drainage work that was also part of the contract - only half of the scope done and no intent to complete the rest. Asked the PM 5 times to not grass the wall as I have plantings waiting and the whole wall was seeded. Wish there was an option for less than 1 star.

I had an exceptional experience with a Quiet Village. They completed several projects for me over a two year period to include fond du lac stone walkways, patio, and drainage systems in my yard. Their crew was excellent, respectful, hard-working and talented. These guys, Dorsey, Will, Henry, Luis, Alvaro, Ignacio, Valentine, Juan B., Octavio, Casey, and Guatalupe, did exceptional work. The project manager, James Prinster worked with me throughout, was extremely responsive and made sure everything was perfect. Kudos to Quiet Village.

We had a variety of landscaping needs including installing a shrub privacy barrier, removing old landscaping and selecting and then installing new plants, planting 2 large trees and installing stone edging in 2 areas of our yard. We love the design and the plant selections James came up with and Simon, Julio and Fermin installed everything beautifully. I can t say enough about how careful they were with the planting and stone edging. I would highly recommend this company.

Jose, Luis, Octavio, and Josh did an awesome job redoing our front and back yards. Josh listened to our needs and made a design that meets our needs and looks great. Jose, Luis, and Octavio worked efficiently to tear out our old plantings, flower beds, rock walls, and stepping stones. It was a big job, but they put in new plantings, redid a rock wall and stepping stones, and added new mulch in one day. We thought the estimate for the job sounded very fair, and after seeing the quality and efficiency of their work we definitely think we got a great deal. We will continue using QV for future landscaping needs.

Quiet Village has been helping us gradually fix our entire yard and add privacy and color for 2 + years. After trying and trying to grow grass from seed on our own, we just had them rip up our back lawn, spread top soil and install sod. James always comes out to look at the before situation and returns immediately after work is done to check quality on the after. The crew who installed the sod worked for 10 hours straight on an unexpectedly hot day and even patched a spot they saw in the front yard with a scrap of sod. We recommend them to all neighbors who ask. Worth the price for service and expertise!

James, Juan B., and their team did a great job! Our flower beds were a mess, and they cleaned them up, laid new mulch, and added new plants for a reasonable cost in a short amount of time. Our house definitely looks so much better than before they came! Hoping we can do more projects together in the future.

Would not recommend. Any time I ask an employee what chemical they are applying, they always shrug and respond that they dont know, they were just told to spray. This company just employs a bunch of underpaid, inexperienced workers while charging the consumers top dollar for poor quality work.

The Quiet village team listened to what we were looking for in updating our front and backyards, including having plants that flowered and thrived at different times of the year and creating a rain garden that helps drain rainwater away from the house. Rebecca Eisele oversaw the project. James Prinster later took care of our lawn and was very helpful with additional questions about yard care. We have been very happy with this companys work.

James Prinster of Quiet Village has done an excellent job of overseeing the installation of some thirty plants in the front and back yard that we purchased from Garden Heights. He was patient and responsive as we worked out an estimate for exactly the services that we needed. The planting was done professionally. Two of the plants did not make it through the first year and he was prompt in picking up the new plants from Garden Heights (per the warranty) and replacing them. He even brought and planted a bonus Russian Sage! We highly recommend this company. It has been a pleasure working with James, and we are already planning for additional projects.

I am very disappointed with Quiet Village Landscaping. I have made multiple attempts to do business with them. My husband and I have called, left messages, and wrote emails but they do not return calls or emails. We need a new front lawn but this company is not interested in our business. Its gone on now for 3 weeks. I do not recommend them. They clearly do not need the business or the customers.

We ve been a very satisfied customer of Quiet Village for 3-4 years now. First, they quickly eradicated a yard filled with violets; then, they made our lawn what it is today. Quiet Village s maintenance was great. James came out to help make a plan and periodically checked up on how things were going, which was great service. Juan Jose and crew were always on time (early!), and they did everything I asked. We have a native landscaped yard, so it was not typical maintenance work - they were always ready to do whatever I requested to maintain this landscape, and always cheerful, hard working, and pleasant to work with. We contracted for lawn care such as seeding, weed control and aeration for two years. At first, they were very good and communicated well. Second year, response to request for information on additional services was lackluster and, in one case, dismissive. We enquired about trimming boxwoods and proposed price was extortionate. Request for information on a rain sensor they advertised was bungled and bordered on rude. They put down grass seed last year and were not reasonably careful as we spent a good deal of time pulling grass out of our flowerbeds which had not occurred the year prior. We asked for a bid on the addition of a raised flowerbed along our fence. The price quoted was double what we had done by another company. Our contract provided for weed control and after the first year the violets took over worse than before. I would not recommend this company.

Beware! I am absolutely appalled by this company. We were quoted about $400 for leaf removal. Then received a bill for more than $1000, stating that it required 3 people 4 hours to pick up sticks and leaves. I could have cleared the leaves in that amount of time by myself, probably including bagging of all the leaves. I also watched them pile up all the leaves in 45 minutes! Furthermore, this yard has been cared for all year by a landscaping, lawn care, and tree care specialist until October. We just needed a quick cleaning up of leaves and didnt have time. There WAS NOT 12 billable hours of work to be done! Now were left with an our word against theirs situation. Please heed my word, and others who have posted negative reviews with situations very similar to mine, find someone else for your yard needs. For reference, my yard is 0.28 acres. I will say that they did a great job, its a shame that they overcharge by such an absurd amount. Update: They finally came down to a little less than $500, which is still a lot compared to other companies. They were quite unpleasant as well (the staff in the office, not the staff that cleaned up our yard).

We absolutely love our new patio living area. It came within our budget and has exceeded our expectations. The crew leader and designer were very helpful to bring up concerns or ask our opinion. They are our go to for our landscaping. Super reliable and works within our time frame! I used them to spread 4 yards of mulch. They billed me just over $1,000. After bringing it up to their attention that they were here for 2 hours the bill was cut in half. Hmmmm there seems to be a disconnect with the office and crew.

The quality of Quiet Village had been going down hill for some time. Over the spring, I used their services for spring maintenance. Unfortunately, they messed the service up. Instead of making things right, when they returned, they charged me money to fix THEIR mistake. I have had good luck with them before, so I decided give them another try. MISTAKE. I attempted to contact them for my fall services. This time, they quoted me a price 3x what I had been paying for for bundled services. I have been a great customer from quiet village and unfortunately, this is the last straw. I will no longer use this company. When I expressed my sadness about leaving, the secretary of phone couldnt care. Im done with quiet village!

The insane amount of noise this company makes, is unbearable. The noise (sounds like a saw) has not stopped for hours on end, unless you count the 5-20 second internals, Im guessing to reposition. They definitely dont take into account that others live in the neighborhood and could possibly work different shifts. Its ridiculous & extremely rude.

We are new residents of St. Louis and needed to find a landscaping company to use for various projects both now and in the future. We hired Quiet Village Landscaping after interviewing 4 other landscaping companies and are so happy we did the research and spent the time talking and listening to all those professionals. From the office staff to the yard crews, this company has amazing employees who truly care about their work and about your property. Rebecca, the designer, spent copious amounts of time with us not only discussing her suggestions but actually listening to what we wanted. She showed us a plan and explained all wheres and whys of the plant choices, using a power point to illustrate the plants and their appearance in various seasons. Our beds needed amending; some plants were planted in the wrong places, and some plants were either dead or not the variety we desired. Rebecca worked with us to get us native plants that would work in our specific situation. And the crew was truly superb! They transplanted many plants to new beds and they worked around what was left in the beds and really took care of our existing plants. They were careful, considerate and deliberate in their actions, and they worked hard! Our yard does not have the best soil conditions and they encountered huge rocks and lots of clay. Yet they were so careful when they edged and dug and they also took the time to investigate any problems they encountered. Our work was done during all the flooding in Spring 2017 and Quiet Village truly worked within the framework of the weather and still managed to complete our job in good time. On top of all that they cleaned up our entire yard when they were done each day. We are already planning our project for the Fall 2017. Quiet Village has earned a customer for life! Thank you to everyone who worked so hard on the Connelly yard. We appreciate it and love everything you did!

UPDATE: The owner reached out to me after my post, and responsiveness improved considerably. I still had to push to find out if things were left done or undone e.g. not all plants were put in but not told when it would be finished, or get paperwork in a timely manner, but when I asked responses were much faster. What started as a pleasant experience quickly became an unprofessional mess. I selected Quiet Village Landscaping for two projects at two different locations that included retaining walls and plantings, and were partially funded by MSD rainscaping grants. While the crew doing physical labor has been friendly throughout, the poor communication from the designer - often taking days or more than a week or more to reply to emails, if at all - and apparent inability to listen to my explicit requests - species names of plants I do and do not want - has made this an extremely frustrating experience. The initial design consult went well, but things quickly went downhill from there. First, the paperwork was filled out incorrectly so the crew went to the wrong location, which also meant they removed sod from my neighbors yard! Luckily my neighbors are friendly and did not complain when they replaced with an entirely different species that looks nothing like the rest of the yard, despite the fact that my neighbor is very serious about his lawn. Unfortunately this was a sign of things to come. Poor communication - taking more than a week or not responding at all to email, not keeping me in the loop on when the crew would be there, or any details about the schedule beyond the first day work was supposed to start. They also overcompensated on the second retaining wall, building well inside the property lines that they marked. The designer said they were probably doing this because they were skittish after messing up the did. This has meant that I have lost square footage, and have less space to plant as a result. Because of the grant situation timelines have been a problem. I preliminarily approved the design to make the grant application deadline AFTER being assured that I could make changes the design later. I told the design consultant at the time that I was pretty sure I didnt want multiple species that she had selected but wasnt sure what I wanted instead (she didnt propose alternatives that fit my criteria - native and helpful to wildlife or edible) and I was told that would not be an issue. Now, she is claiming that my proposed changes (researching until I found species that I liked more) are not possible because the design was approved. This design already had to be altered because of the smaller square footage, but in the new design she ignored my new plant list and put in plants I specifically asked NOT to include. The work is still not done, and I am now worried about missing the grant deadline to complete the work. When I spend more than $10,000 on multiple projects I expect more than this.

I would not recommend this company for simple yard clean-up and mulch as they were very expensive without attention to detail. They may be better for larger projects. Bushes were not trimmed in a neat way, only a very thin layer of mulch applied (different from what their estimated stated they would put down), grass/weeds in the beds were cut rather than pulled, and did not respond to my concerns after calling back a few times.

I recently had Quiet Village redesign replace and expand a deteriorating landscape wall and garden bed. I couldnt be happier with the results! What an improvement in curb appeal! Juan and his crew did an awesome job.

This summer I called QVL to expand my backyard deck. When Dennis came out with Eliseo they came up with great suggestions for the deck that would also including taking care of drainage issues I was having. The deck looks great, but even better, my sump pump in the basement rarely runs anymore! I was so impressed that I asked about other services and the design team came over and prepared a design to add gardening beds with edging in my backyard. They suggested a bubbling boulder which has turned out to be a crowd pleaser for both people and dogs that come over. The girls on their team are great when it comes to my holiday decor. I always look forward to their creative ideas to help surprise my guests when we entertain.
