We had Fortons do a tune-up on my lawn mower great service! We also had an issue with the mower, we added gas from the a portable gas can. Mower would start then quit. Called Fortons up about the issue and having it serviced there. Butch did say they stand behind there work please bring the reciept when the mower was serviced and it would move to the front of the line. Come to find out the error was on husbaand (operator error). The gas in the portable container was 4 to 6 weeks old past the date of use. I highly reccommend Fortons for your lawn and garden equipment services and YES they do stand behind their work. Our snowblower will seviced there for when winter arrives. Thank you Fortons crew.

I paid one of their employees Mark to clean up my yard, he came with his team and racked a couple piles of leaves and said that they would return the next morning and NEVER returned and its been a week. I called requesting a refund and he has not returned my cash. I WOULD NOT this company! THEY HIRE THIEVES!!!!!!!!!!

Got my lawnmower running at a fair price. Took 19 days but know there are swamped with work. Quoted 3 and half weeks so it didnt take quite that long. Lawnmower running perfectly.

Today I attempted to get service here for a lawnmower. Was told 3 week wait, 80 dollars an hour. This is more than an auto mechanic Im not sure if this is the real price because the guy looked uncomfortable with having an African American in his store. Very disappointed either way.

Beware of old man. Parking lot is small and full if potholes I have a trailer very slow almost ripped My bumper off and he comes yelling at me telling me to slow down in his lot..... it might have sounded like I was going fast with the trailer slamming up and down and all what a joke will not be using him anymore

Terrible customer relations service I was told my lawn mower was junk without even looking at it found out the problem was only a spark plug and change the oil and it ran perfect but I was told it was junk

NEVER AND I REPEAT NEVER PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS. THE OWNER IS VERY RUDE AND TOTALLY DISRESPECTFUL. TOOK A LAWNMOWER HERE TO GET SHARPENED WAS TOLD BY AN EMPLOYEE TO BRING IT RIGHT OVER. WELL UPON BRINGING IT THE OWNER STARTS YELLING AND TELLING ME THAT HE DIDNT AUTHORIZE IT AND THAT I CANNOT GET SERVICED. THEN STARTS MAKING HAND GESTURES, SPITTING AND HITTING THE TABLE WHILE SAYING HE OWNS THE PLACE AND WILL HAVE TO LEAVE IT AND WAIT 2 WEEKS. END RESULT HE SCREAMS GET OUT AND PROCEEDS TO CURSE OUT HIS EMPLOYEES WHO WERE ACTUALLY NICE INDIVIDUALS.

They have a good supply of parts and are willing to order anything you need.

If you can laugh, take a joke, not be oversensitive or microagressed then you will be fine here. Not a place for the fainthearted especially if you are dealing with the owner. EXPERTS at fixing most stuff unless they cant get parts. They might tell you what you bring in is junk but if you are patient they may fix it for you. Irreverent to many but harmless. Politically highly incorrect. Think Archie Bunker.

Very knowledgeable, honest staff. Tells it like it is. I took several pieces of outdoor equipment in to have it fixed, and once they told me it was junk, do not fix (Gas trimmer). Will be back.

Mr Forton really knows his stuff!! Best small engine shop around hands down.

Not at all helpful Cash only! Told me they were to busy to help me with my motor but yet no one was in the store. They would rather shovel the snow that day than help a CASH paying customer.

Oh where to begin.... This place is a joke. Customer care or just basic human respect is non existent at this place. The worse part is that it seems like they get off on it. One begins to wonder if the sole purpose of this business is for grumpy, anti-American individuals to just have opportunities to berate and disrespect any and everyone that they come in contact with. The only sympathy I have for this place is for the young kid that works there; likely has a repair man, who tries his hardest to acknowledge customers as human beings. This place is a damn shame simple as that. St. Clair Shores black sheep.
