Weed Man Lawn Care in Springfield

Started at weed man a few years ago. While quoting different companies, what really sold me with Weed man was the field manager Jack. He came out to talk to me about my lawn and was very kind and full of knowledge. He talked me through what was happening with my lawn and what the appropriate steps would be moving forward to bring my yard back to life. We implemented that plan and my lawn has never looked better. I could not recommend them enough!

So I ve been using Weedman since 2023, I m not really one for reviews I m a bit old school. However what I like most about them is how they ALWAYS follow up. It s lawn care..shit happens not everything will be perfect any time I have weeds they come about and respray for me. Progress looks great my lawn was a mess. Not the best experience with this company so far. My front yard looks worse than it did when I was using Sunday Lawn care last year. They say it s due to grubs or beetles but they treat for beetles? I was also told that a manager would be calling me about a plan to repair the damage no call and I ve called THEM back 4 times. One thing they do well is answer the phone right when you call.

These people will take your money and run they do not do anything they say they will and will charge you and arm and a leg big scammers big scammers do not use please dont waste your money they will scam you and tell you they will come out but they do not come out scammers and will charge you for service you dont even ask them to do they will come out and do stuff you dont want and then charge you please dont use these people big scammers.

Trying weed man for the first time this season. So far they have been great. Noticeable quality difference after having Trugreen last season. I would definitely recommend these guys if your lawn needs needs professional help.

I had Weed Man for a year and regret I went with them. My lawn has always been green with no brown patches as was last year and now this year. I had spoken with numerous agents, techs, etc indicating I did not want any services performed without a call back from them indicating what they were going to do about the brown patches. On Monday 4/24 I received a VM from Brian requesting I call him back to review his plan for correcting the issues with my lawn. I called him back 2 hours later and reached his VM. I left him a message indicating I did not want any work done until he called me back and we reviewed his plan. Today, Wednesday 4/26 I still haven t received a call from Brian so I called the office. I spoke with a young girl who thought it was funny that I requested someone with authority to work with. She couldn t understand why I was upset with them performing a service that I had requested not to be done. She transferred me to the Customer Manager Chelsea and I asked for the owner. Chelsea indicated the Owner didn t talk with customers. I explained to Chelsea that I didn t want any services performed on my lawn and had told this to numerous people within her company and also left the request on Brain s VM until someone called me back with a plan. She indicated there was nothing she could do as the service was already performed. She did go over Brain s plan, which was to continue with the services I had already paid for so no real plan. If you want to deal with a company that thinks it s funny you are upset with their service, don t return calls, and preform services that you requested not be done than Weed Man is your company.

Lawn looks much better than it has in years since switching to Weedman at the beginning of the season.

This was my first year using weedman for my lawn treatments. I had used Trugreen in the past and was very dissatisfied with their work. Weedman did an outstanding job. They call/text in advance of each application to let you know they are coming. They take the time to answer any questions and keep you informed as to what services they have done. They also give you suggestions to improve things that the homeowner can do to get the results you are looking for. This is my third season with Weedman and I am happy with their services.

EDIT - ORIGINAL REVIEW DOWN BELOW. DONT TRUST THEIR STAR RATINGS ANYWHERE. update: Do a better job. My lawn was lacking pH and for 4+ seasons all I heard was it was winter fungus or not enough water and it was likely all baloney (I have sprinklers and was watering at least weekly on top of aeration) and it took a COMPLAINT threatening to cancel service last year to get someone out who actually knew what they were doing to test the pH and tell me that my pH was so low that it didnt register on the meter. Nobody else cared even though I repeatedly engaged with the service provider when they came out to ask about issues. If I didnt, they wouldnt engage and just wrote out what was done and what was wrong and leave it at my door. Seriously, how expensive is it to send pH meters out with all your techs and teach them how to use it? None of them cared to follow up and getting someone on the phone was always difficult. All this time I could have been applying lime and not once was it recommended to me. Furthermore, tell the hotshot kid that answered the phone when I called to cancel my account that when the customer clearly wants to cancel, bashing your competitors in the process of delivering the exit sign is not a good look (like I told you on the phone before hanging up). I signed up with a competitor that used to serve this lawn 10 years ago and its been a month and my grass has grown a foot in two weeks and its already starting to fill in the trouble spots. It hasnt been this lush since the last time your competitor serviced this lawn. All my lawn did under the watch of Weedman Springfield/Hartford was slowly die from choking because the pH was wildly off. So kid, you just guaranteed that I never get services from Weedman ever again and I will make sure that all my neighbors and friends in the area know about what happened. I recommend that you look up the word nuance in the dictionary and figure out how you can add it to your customer service techniques. As someone whos given 20 years in customer service, you have a long way to go. Good luck! OLD REVIEW: I think they give ok lawn care but lack in giving additional services and recommendations. , I may now have to think about stopping my service with Weedman. I recently got a text from a 978 phone number asking me to give a 5 star review and for each 5 star review they will donate to the Shriners Hospital. Although Shriners is an amazing organization, paying for 5 star reviews is utterly antithetical to what I believe. It undermines trust of consumers and is sleezy, no matter what the up side is and I didnt give you permission to solicit with my cell number either. That was for service notifications ONLY. Bad move Weedman.

Brand new customer and so far super impressed with the communication - they keep you up to date on when they are coming, when they are there, when they are done. All representatives that I have dealt with thus far have been very professional and polite. They are very attentive and open to answer any questions you have.

Weed man is the best lawn service I have ever had. Their customer service is accommodating and very customer friendly. When I have a questions about an application Joshua is always willing to answer any questions that I have. If weeds grow the tech comes out and sprays for free. I also love the shrub man service they provide for ticks. Since spraying for ticks my dogs and I are very happy. Love love love Weedman and Shrub-man.

They killed the ground ivy infestation that devastated my lawn and together, with my reseeding and careful watering, and their weed control, fertilizer and other services, we were able to completely restore my lawn. Great job all around. They are well run and modern with a nice work/payment portal, email alerts and automated phone calls to remind you when they are coming. I found them by seeing them at neighbors houses with nice lawns. Highly recommended.

If i could give negative stars i would i have to say this is the worst experiences i have had with a lawn care company They have destroyed my lawn I had them come out for an inspection when i noticed alot of patchy spots and was told it was killing the weeds i had. Well a few weeks later i had no lawn i called them back to schedule another inspection and they called the day they were supossed to come and rescheduled due to rain and said they would call on Monday to set something up. A week later i was called trying for an upsell and when i let then know how unhappy i was and was still waiting for an inspection call i was told they woukd have the tech call me and they would follow up to make sure i was called. Here it is 6 weels later and im still waiting on that call. Now ots going to cost me more to have my lawn redone then it would have if i just stayed away. In response to your reply. When do you make service calls on a Sunday. So i think your dates may be a little off And thatbwas when i had patches then lack of communication was in September when my back lawn turned to dirt and when i was called it was for an aeration. I look forward to setting up an appointment so we can get this all behind us and hopefully put up a better review

We have used Weed Man this summer and our lawn has never looked better. We live on a corner lot and a lot of weeds were coming up. I called and they came out right away. After one application 95% of the weeds were gone! The servicemen arrive and check to make sure my pets are inside and caution me to let the grass dry before letting them out. Their service is above and beyond! You will not disappointed.

We have tried other services and went back to Weedman. Simply, we see results with thier step program and we dont see the weeds. Its easy to call the office and they are always friendly. The techs are also friendly and answer any questions.

Theyve done a great job on our lawn. Had an issue last year where grubs did damage and they replaced the grass in the damaged area (though it did take a while)

After 3 years of their service, my lawn looks worse than when they started. They never rid my lawn of weeds. After their service, they hound you by phone daily at dinner time until you give them a payment. Even after my final balance was paid and we cancelled our service they still called. Run, dont walk away from this company!!!

Excellent repair work on our back yard this past fall. Severe damage caused by grubs. I called Weed Man, they came a agreed that damage was severe. They came by about a week later and said that they were going to Repair the damage caused since I had been having the grub control service calls done each year. Great job! I watered the back yard twice a week for 3-4 weeks. Our lawn has never looked so good. We are very satisfied & impressed with the repair provided. Thank you Weed Man for your service.

General care was O.K. But Weedman really shined when they restored my lawn which was badly damaged when heavy equipment had to drive over it from the street to the backyard for a construction project. As the growing season ends, my lawn looks great!

One season went from one of the best looking yards on the street to the worst. Managed this service from afar to help my mother. They would call once a month to upsell services, but you think they would have tried to call to let me know the last 2 times they were at the property Grubs were destroying the lawn. They called to sell me Grub control, but didnt even bother to tell me they were attacking the lawn! Obviously no connection between sales and service team. Customer service is all about making the upsell and give them credit for that. But when things go wrong they will send you chasing your tail. No remorse or offers at all to make things right. ****Since I couldnt reply to Weed Mans reply I decided to throw in an edit- you COULD try calling me yourself if you truly cared. Ive called you guys multiple times and have gotten NOwhere. Even have asked to talk to a manager and have requested a call back. Nothing. Nice diplomatic response though.

I have been using Weed Man for 5 years and have never been disappointed. The service and quality of results is excellent.

Would be 1/2 star.... Met with a rep and setup a treatment for the spring. Told them many times that I was overseeding the yard and asked them to simply use starter fertilizer for 1st step. Proceeded to do first treatment and after applied look on slip and see they put down pre-emerge 2 days after I seeded. Thus rendering my new seed worthless. After ZERO acknowledgement of their error even tho it was documented on paper about the overseeding and threatening me for payment when I termed the contract. Now 4 years later almost monthly getting cold calls looking to setup a treatment package for the year. Be Warned!!!!!

Decided to give them a try last year to save some money on fertilizing. They did a horrible job compared to my previous company. My lawn was brown and I had lots of crabgrass. Im going back to my old company who has much better customer service and products. Also, they are so annoying with their non-stop telemarketing calls which start in February!!!!!!!!!

I have always been a DIY guy when it comes to my lawn but I have also been envious of other peoples perfect lawns. This year I decided to give Weed Man a try and I am so glad I did. They have been to my house twice this season and already my lawn already looks the best it ever has in my 20 years as a homeowner. I wish I had taken the chance sooner. Weed man has been caring for my lawn for the past year. Before Weed man, the grass was green and lush and now we do not have any green grass left. The good grass is gone, but the weeds are still all over the lawn. Weed man has evaluated the grass since it began looking like this and has admitted that it is their fault. They had hired a new, young guy who has ruined a lot of peoples grass. I have called the manager many times, and it is impossible to reach her. I have left voicemails for her to call me back, and she still has not. Weed man promised me discounted fall aeration and promised to seed the backyard at no charge in early September. This has not happened yet. I would give this company a no star rating if possible. Do not hire Weed man if you want nice grass.

Let the weedman take care of your Grass

Do not trust these people! Or make sure you are home when they arrive for service. We caught them on camera pulling in, dropping a service tag on our door and leaving. Under 5 minutes and no service actually provided. Makes me wonder if they did anything all season. The supervisor came and gave us service for the one that was not done, but their reaction since makes me believe this now they do business. They got caught so they came back, but what about the 5 other treatments? Never occurred to me I should have checked our cameras those days! Be warned! Shady shady outfit. Lost our business for good.

Horrible service, Weedman killed my fathers lawn. Sprayed for weeds, but only killed them. The techs came out to our property at one point for 5 minutes to spray additional weeds. My lawn is fairly sized and in no world can an entire lawn be sprayed in 5 minutes. I contacted this location to discuss my concerns and ended up getting into a yelling match with the customer service rep. All I wanted was for them to come and repair their damage, but the rep insisted it was grubs that caused the damage. When I asked to get a second opinion, the tech got offensive and questioned their validity. Second opinions are also helpful no matter what. There should have been no reason for this hostility. I also asked them to cancel the last step of my lawns treatment and reimburse my money, they never did anything. Dont waste your time with this company. I have switched companies since.

Horrible experience in all aspects of dealing with this business . I would give it negative stars if it was optional because one star is being generous . First of all they were confusing and misleading to deal with on the phone never talk to any two people that were on the same page. The service itself was horrible there was no change in my lawn if anything it got worse . They never treted a big part of my lawn to one side of my driveway not that it would of made a difference . When I called them to notify them I was unhappy and still had weeds and crab grass everywhere and that they had been missing a side of my lawn they said they would send some out the next day to talk to me and address the issue needless to say no one ever came and my lawn was never treated. So I called back a week later and explained how horrible everything was and they tried to sell me more services when they didnt even properly handle the first one so I ask to speak with a manager that never happened either even after leaving messages ! So I called back and cancelled the remainder of the service but wait it gets worse because they are still trying to charge me for services they didnt provide and or finished and didnt even do properly , and now with in a week they sent my account into collections and I still havent talk to any managers of any kind .. stay away from these hacks they dont do anything but rob you . I will be calling the better business bureau also and a lawyer that they will end up paying for .. this is ridiculous trust me... do not deal with these crooks
