They had left me a plastic door knob flyer (I am sure there is a name for it) this spring. I kept it because I was impressed with how professional looking it was and the fact it was not just a piece of paper folded in the door. Then I saw they recently got Best Of in Illinois Times. I dont live and die by that. However, the endorsement was enough to get to me to inquire. At that point, things got better. Abbie, the gal who answered the phone, left me with the right taste in mouth and nothing changed from that to the estimate to the follow up to the finished product. PS: Just hired them for painting my interior. Yes a lawn care service that does home maintenance and repair. Again, friendly, professional, timely and reasonably priced. I would also add that a project I expected to drag out for days (extensive interior painting) finished in under two days. And despite the messy nature of painting and the fact I needed drywall work, when I got home each night, I could not even tell someone had been there. Update. Another great job just completed. Deck pressure washed and stained. Get me informed the entire time. Well done. Still the best. Preston is great.

I love having a good looking lawn and not having to lift a finger for it.

Ladies in office are very communicative and do return calls promptly and are sweet. Problem I have is we had a bunch of rain days. So I mowed my yard figuring they was not going to show up. Crew took after pictures of yard. After pics are what I did. Crew did not do any work at all. I declined charge on my card once. They ran my card again and got the money. Then I received email saying could not performs this week service. I get it I declined the first payment. Crew did not do work, But I see this is a common thing by way of reviews. Ladies in office can only go off what guys in field said. I know the guys didn t mow because of where I placed my dogs toys. Also in pictures it shows their truck pulled only 2 feet in my driveway. You pull off alley that is main thoroughfare for all homes. So he would not of gotten away with parking like that. Girls in office super sweet. Workers came my house outright lied and did no work.

Had a lawn emergency and Scooter s came to the rescue. Delightful to work with.

Scooters did site preparation for raised garden bed system and hauling of dirt and rock. Jess was awesome to consult with and the work was completed on-time with no issues. This was a small job but I would definitely consider calling them again in the future. As to value, I guess that is somewhat in the eye of the beholder. We did not seek another bid since Scooters was within our budget and the other company we called did not get back to us.

Ornamental trees trimmed and crew did a great job! In a short time Scooters has become one of my favorite go-to places for stuff I don t have time to get to. Very happy!!

Its because you guys did not do any maintenance i.e. no weed control whatsoever which was our main concern. When I called you guys and said I wanted to terminate your service your representative didnt bother to ask what was wrong or how you can make it better. Our decision is made. BEWARE of Scooters Lawn Care We have used their lawn care service for almost 2 years and have had nothing but issues. The biggest being they mowed the lawn a street over for 2 months after they had been servicing us for over a year. Most recently they charged us 2 months in a row without providing a service. When I called they stated they have pictures, my response was, you re welcome to come look at my lawn in person to see it has not been mowed. Today when speaking with Breanne Sefsick she was very rude as she is every time I ve had to speak with her. I apologized to her if I sounded irritated as I didn t mean for it to be directed at her but the situation is frustrating. She replied that it s also irritating for her the way our account is set up. She later said I was yelling and being aggressive which I was not. Irritated, very, which is why I apologized moments before. Anyone would be if you re taking their money without providing a service then being told the service was done when it most definitely wasn t.

Are they a wee bit more expensive than others? Sometimes, but you are paying for the quality of service that you receive. Scooters always keeps their clients informed, company completes their work as agreed to with so much extra care and attention to detail, and their invoicing process is a breeze. It is so easy to work with Scooters and both their office staff and field crew are friendly and professional. I will continue to recommend and work with Scooters!!

I had them clean up my lawn for the spring. This also included a ton of sweet gum balls. They don t d an excellent job candidate I will use them again.

Professional, prompt, honest business and my project was completed with 100% satisfaction.

Showed up on a rainy day, we had difficulties with estimates for a cleanup. Company was extremely understanding and flexible with the situation. Treats customers with respect and professionalism.

These guys were professional enough in answering their phones and giving quotes. Give them credit for that. However, they wanted to charge $1000 dollars to mow a simple lawn for a small house because it was overgrown. I was able to get a quote for $250. I will let you draw your own conclusions.

I am very pleased with the work I had done. There were a few hiccups in the process but everyone at Scooters worked quickly the make it right and did an amazing job. They addressed everything, communicated the process well, and were very pleasant to work with.

Contacted them for two services. Did not tell me at first that one of services was scheduled weeks in advance, made me wait until about the 2nd contact after that to inform me of this. Then despite knowing what I wanted with the second part of my request, they made me wait until nearly two weeks later to inform me they didnt do it, only when it was tied to the other service.

Sadly, not impressed.

Will never use their services again.. estimate for bush/hedge cutting/ trim. And they sure stick to their estimate. Original estimate said I was for 2 people for 2 hrs... even tho the one they sent me when I asked didnt show that. The showed up around 9:20 ish am ... didnt get started til close to 9:30 and was gone by 10 am. Barley trimmed the bushes...im sure they will be grown out again by fall. Waste of $322. For sure over charged me.. bushes are uneven and I guess the one bush on the end wasnt included...cause it wasnt touched. Said bu underneath would be cleaned out... of course it wasnt...still clippings and trash.. I have it all on video. And you try and talk them and get no where. $75 an hour ...lol overpaid. Overcharged me by a minimum of $100. Will never use or recommend them... and FYI my Google reviews get lots of views.. if I could leave zero stars i would.....

Scooters Lawncare company is a business that truly values its customers, listens to your concerns and provides exemplary service. Devin, one of the mowing team members, has always gone above and beyond to answer any questions I may have and address my concerns. The other teams also have provided excellent service! One time, my indoor cat got outside at the same time they started to mow and she ran off. The guys immediately shut down the loud equipment and helped me search for her, successfully! Myself and my fur baby both appreciated their quick actions and genuine concern for her welfare. As for pricing, you may pay a bit more for the services, yet it is totally worth the cost. The owner, Jason, creates a family atmosphere within the company, which also extends to the customers. Any concerns you may have are addressed almost immediately by office staff. I absolutely recommend this company!!

Great job! I have a very large yard with big landscape beds which had become very weedy. Everyone I met was professional, and hard working. They also kept me informed every step of the way and when I found some areas that were missed, they came back and fixed the problem twice! I will definitely call them again in the fall. My first service in Cape Coral FL was excellent. Two items of particular note: 1. The staff did not try to set a new land speed record with the mower. They mowed at a steady but not lightning pace. 2. The staff brought out a smaller trim power mower to cut some grass areas near my sea wall. The old service would wack away at the grass in that area with a string edger and it generally looked like hell.

Customer service was outstanding. They were responsive, timely, flexible and professional. Their work exceeded my expectations and I am very happy with the outcome.

I had a couple of requests after their first trip out to trim my bushes wasn t exactly what I had wanted, and they came back a day or two later and gave me exactly what I was looking for. That s the mark of really good customer service in my opinion. When they go out of their way to fix a minor complaint, even if they didn t have to. I ll definitely use them again.

We have had nothing but a first rate experience with Scooter s Lawn Care. Our contact has been Jess who has responded to our interests, questions and concerns in a timely, friendly and professional manner. She has been so helpful with everything from setting up routine maintenance for our yard to helping us decide on, plan and see special landscaping projects through to fruition. Every communication we ve had with the company, whether calling with questions, to scheduling, to chatting with the crews, has been easy and pleasant. Our yard looks better than it ever has, thanks to Scooter s!

Scooter s were great to work with. Once we were on the waiting list they updated us weekly as to our status. Thought that was awesome. They were able to start earlier than expected and showed up no later than 8:00 AM and quit no sooner than 5:00 PM sometimes later. Our retaining wall is beautiful and well constructed. Being a neat freak I was overwhelmed by how the job sight was left nightly and over the weekend. All their machinery, rebar and shovels were left scattered throughout. Shovels were dug into what was left of good grass. Plywood was left on lawn over weekend which burnt what good grass I had left. I was able to plant new grass and clean up the dirty muddy mess they left. If it wasn t for the mess I d give them 5 stars

I have to say that using Scooters Lawn Service has been an excellent find. Our previous lawn service didn t put the effort into making sure our home looked like we tried to make it look presentable. Scooters changed that from the first cut of our lawn and trimming of the plants. This only comes from a company that cares about doing a good job. update 12/21 - Since my last review things have only gotten better. We used Scooters for a complete landscaping renovation to our property. 1st, we had 2 very damaged and ugly Oak trees removed from our back yar. This was done with precision and thoughtfulness to our property and our neighbors. Both trees were removed and all branches and trunk taken away making the property look completely presentable. 2nd, we had Scooters install plants around the front of the house and create and island look for 2 Christmas Palms. Then they installed the outdoor lighting which completely sets the home to look amazing. The crew that did the work were fantastic, very enthusiastic and great to deal with. We couldnt be happier with the way this whole project turned out! Do yourself a favor and reach out to Scooters Lawn Service to make the outside area of your home look fantastic.

Edit: Scooters reached out to makes things right. Stars increased to 5 star. I told them I knew they would have to probably charge double their normal rate, because the grass was long at the property that I asked them to cut, and that was ok. Instead of charging double and doing a good job, they charged the normal rate, and didn t mow the strip of grass between the sidewalk and road, and mowed over trash that was in the yard, creating confetti.

Very knowledgeable and friendly reception, asked questions about thier goods and services they were pleasant and easy to relate on a business casual conversation.

Mixed thoughts about Scooters. I cant comment on their actual work because it never got that far. First the positives. I saw the good reviews online and then ran into one of their mowing crew chiefs (Devon) at the gym wearing one of their t-shirts, so I asked him about their services. I am looking for the typical seasonal lawn care, as well as a landscape design and implementation on my residential property. Devon was friendly, professional, enthusiastic, polite... a great representative for any company. I called the next day and spoke to Zoe... also super friendly and professional. She took my name and contact information and sent me an email later that day with the details of their packages and the prices. Everything looked great and priced competitively. Zoe also sent my info to Jess, their landscape planner, to set up a time to meet at the house. Now the negatives. I got into their email and text message system and they just kept sending me messages asking if I had received the first email about their packages. I responded to the messages that I had received it and would discuss with Jess when she came to the house. But the messages kept coming even after my initial requests to stop them. Eventually they responded that they would stop sending the messages. Jess was supposed to be at my house on a Thursday afternoon, but she sent an email that morning asking to reschedule. No big problem. These things happen. We set a date/time for the following Monday at 12:30pm. On Monday I arrived at the house at noon and stayed until 1:30pm. She never showed up, she didnt send a message or call and nobody from Scooters called on her behalf. Later that afternoon I used the Contact function on their website to let them know my disappointment. It went to the email address of someone called Jacob. I didnt get a response from them. No explanation. No apology. Nothing for the time I took out of my schedule and wasted waiting for them. I cant rate them only 1 star, since Devon and Zoe were so good and they may do good lawn care/landscaping, assuming they actually show up. I would have given them 2 stars, but I learned from Devon that the owner gives their employees a paid holiday on Veterans Day. As a veteran, I appreciate that and thought that should be worth one more star. But they clearly arent interested in my business, so Ill look elsewhere.

The past two years we have used Scooters Lawn Care to professionally put up lights on our house. We asked the owner if he could give us a better price as we thought it was extremely high. He said he would not be able to do this service for anything less than $1500. We decided to look elsewhere and found a company that did the exact same work for less than half the price of Scooters. Same on us for paying his high price for two years. Buyer beware.

Scooters has been a good partner for us for several years now. We have used their weekly lawn service along with biannual yard cleanups. Their team is very responsive and cares about the finished product. We have also used them during the winter for painting and drywall work which was equally done well.

After going to the wrong house, they came back the next day and cleaned up some leaves. I guess I was expecting more with the spring cleanup because there is a ton left to do. I only hired because I was limited in time and the yard was in rough shape. I guess I should have saved the money and had my 11 year old help for better results.

They delivered a visually stunning design and detailed estimate where we could add/subtract items that would be on target with our budget. A piece of equipment bumped my shed and dented some metal paneling. Jacob remobilized experienced construction professionals to repair the damage in a manner better than original construction going above and beyond to match existing conditions at no cost to me. As a construction professional myself, I can say undoubtedly Scooters is one of the best contractors I have had the pleasure of working with. Lastly, they will not commit to work that they cannot deliver exceptionally. It takes a substantial moral and ethical compass to operate at such a mature level. Tip of the hat to this organization.

We just started using Scooters this year for some basic lawncare needs, and have gradually used them for several other things. Their customer service is amazing. They stay in constant touch with you about where things are, when they are scheduled for, if something is moved to a different day or postponed, etc. Nothing against any other lawn care company, but this one is top notch. They also do landscaping, outdoor lighting, indoor home improvement, and much more. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking at lawn care. We had scooters take out some overgrown bushes that must have been on our property since the 1930s. They replaced them with arborvitae. It was a very professional team that showed up at our home right when they said they would come. We have enjoyed their work. When I emailed Scooters that I noticed some brown branches and if that was normal, they sent me a link describing the different things that one can encounter with these bushes and that in the fall this is not abnormal. We appreciated their customer service after the sale.

I was very pleased with Scooters Services!

Due to a health issue, I had not been able to care for my backyard garden for a year. Scooters was referred to me by another lawn care person who decided it was too big a job for him. I called them, got the estimate and the work was scheduled within two weeks. They worked through the ugly mess my garden had become, preserved the good plants left, prepared it for winter and made it look beautiful again. Thank you!

One of my big projects for the year was completely redoing the hardscaping in my backyard, so I started looking for potential companies. I hadnt heard of Scooters until I saw one of their Facebook ad campaigns that looked clean and professional, so I started looking into more online content and reviews (all high quality). Shortly after, I gave them a call and Jacob showed up at my door to listen to my ideas and walked me through a design. In about a month period after contract signing (which was all very detailed, fair, and simple), the project was done and everything looks amazing. The crews that worked were all very professional, hard working (stayed from 7 AM - 7 PM many days to ensure timely completion), and communicated every aspect/risk/issue of the project along the way. I could not recommend Scooters enough. Ive worked with a lot of similar companies in the area and could not have been happier with my choice to take a chance with Jacob and his great team!
