It took a little while, a couple of years, to get our lawn in decent condition. We do not have irrigation, so weve been pleased with the results.

We have been with Turfmasters for 7 years since we moved here....Of course with new construction as ours was, the surrounding lawns were in a horrid condition, Turfmasters, over time, made us the envy of our community. Could not be pleased more. Exceptional care, to say the least.

When we moved into our home in early 2021, our backyard was 70%+ dirt and the weeds were everywhere! It took some time but after a couple of years of treatment, we have 100% grass and the weeds are gone! We constantly get compliments on our grass and even our neighbors have begun to switch. Service guys are always friendly and polite. Voiced a concern about giving my friend up the street a lower quote per month 25.00 less than mine. Apparently they price you according to public records dimensions of your lot, without considering the flower beds or ungrasssed area. Instead of giving me some sort of adjustment or even referral discount, they raised my price the very next month. Who wouldve thought?

Timely service and good communication. I sprayed my own yard for years. Its a tough undertaking at times. Were dealing with mother nature, so every application doesnt always go perfectly and property owner engagement helps - so adjust expectations accordingly. Some weeds take awhile to eradicate, others you just have to control as best you can - all depending on what youre trying to grow in the transition zone in which we live. All in all, good effort and results.

These folks are fantastic! They really turned our lawn around and it looks beautiful. Super easy to work, very responsive to questions and take great pride in their work. Always friendly.

I cannot express how much I regret hiring Turf Masters. I decided I would like my yard to look a little better and saw some decent reviews so I made the quick decision to give them a try. They came to my house and sprayed herbicides and fertilizers all over my yard without notifying me. No email, no call, no text, nothing. They left a small sign in my front yard and a flyer on my door handle, but did not bother to knock on my door or ring my doorbell. Since we did not know that they had sprayed toxic chemicals in our yard, we took our toddler and baby into our backyard mere minutes after they sprayed. My family was exposed to toxic chemicals for hours (it was a beautiful day and we were enjoying our yard, so we thought!). I have been horrified by the information I have learned about the health risks of the chemicals this company uses. I contacted them and they clearly DO NOT CARE about my familys health. They did apologize the the inconvenience and told me we would probably be ok. But their main concern was scheduling another treatment. I am in anguish over my decision to hire this negligent company and the potential consequences my children face. Now that I have actually done research, I have learned of the growing body of research indicating that the compounds this company uses pose extreme health risks to children. PLEASE do your research on the health risks of lawn treatment before you hire any company. And if you do decide to hire a company, I strongly encourage you to avoid Turf Masters. They will send uncaring, unprofessional technicians to haphazardly spray your yard at random times with no notice. Their business model seems to be to hire cheap and make a quick buck. They do not care about you yard or your family.

Ive had TurfMasters taking care of my lawn for a while now, and Im unsure what happened this year. In the past they were timely, reliable, and my lawn looked great. Recently, I called to find out my next service date because I had excessive weeds - I was told it was within a few days. Great. Only that no one ever showed. I waited two weeks, then called again. I was told that I was to be put on the schedule that week. Great. I also received a text message from Andrew that hed be out that Thursday. But he never showed. I sent an email asking to cancel my services, and stated my dissatisfaction with the customer service. I also called to make sure my services were cancelled, and even asked for Brooke to call me, as Ive dealt with him previously and he was wonderful. Instead of any phone call, I received yet another text message from Andrew asking for me to call him when I could. Even after all that, still cant get a phone call from them. Im on the hunt for a new lawn company after this experience.

For the second time the Technician didn t spray the entire lawn also said he spot treated weeds which he didn t do. Everybody has a bad day so I let the first one slide but he did the same thing again. Knowing we were home and have cameras. Called to cancel because of these issues and they didn t even try to make it right.

I tried Turf Masters out for my lawn care for 6 months and the results have been very poor. The yard has not improved from the prior year at all and while I realize it takes time the weeds are worse than they were before I started using them. This is because the employees who service the yard do not do a good job of coverage so I feel that I am paying for a service Im not really getting. They arent interested in coming back out to fix the issue or even coming out to talk and see how they can help. They are in a rush to get to the next job and do not take time and care that I would expect for what is a premium package and price that we selected from them. On top of that, they have VERY bad service. Andrew is our main rep and he is disrespectful and has no interest in delivering quality customer service. He is a very pushy salesman and will show up at your house and take photos of your lawn if you arent using him to try and tell you how your current provider isnt doing their job. Well, I gave them a try and its worse than what he said looked so bad before. I tried to express my disappointment and asked for a face to face and instead of coming out to the house to talk he only texts their same company line over and over again on how its not their issue. Well the lawn looked better before them and Im sure itll look better after them as well. I imagine Turf Masters varies by rep and area but if you are in Franklin, TN buyer beware.

I dont know if it is just this weird weather year or this company. Weed control is pretty bad. I am surprised at how much I pay for this service and how mediocre my lawn looks. I constantly have weeds, bermuda grass invasion, etc. I have an irrigation system and water frequently too. Just not what I thought I was paying for.

Typical sales people make all the promises to win your business, but there is no relation with people on the ground. Rated 5 because they took care of my lawn and people are easily reachable.

I have been with them maybe four years. Every year has been great, except for this year. May have been the heat or dry spell, but, my yard is bad right now. I have crabgrass and other weeds. My neighbors yard looks better than mine. They do their own treatments. Im going to try it on my own for couple years. I still reccomend Turf Masters. Any one can have a bad year.

Communication is always good. Lawn treatments are always specific to our needs and when I need to ask questions or get advice about our specific issues, service people are always very friendly and knowledgeable.

A veteran crew showed up and aerated and seeded our yard. We were told the crew would come on a different day. Our yard had not been mowed and we had several items (an inflatable pool, etc) in the yard blocking where seeding needed to take place. I appreciate that they tried to get us done sooner but our yard was in no condition to be seeded because it was not the agreed upon day. There were completely bare spots with zero seed laid down. My neighbor even remarked to me that the guy that did the aeration was going as fast as he could with little concern to our yard. We were at work when the seeding took place and received no response to the text messages with photos that were sent to Andrew.

This is the 3rd company I ve used to weed/fertilize/seed my lawn. But they should be my last if they continue the great service I had all year. Turf Masters consistently has the quickest response time compared to other companies used- and sometimes that can make a big difference. They also used some of the best products to kill my nut sedge this year and came back two more times from the spread of it right away (because I called too late I had cut the lawn and spread through yard but it hadn t germinated yet when they first came). They are focused, know the job and stock the truck accordingly prior to coming out instead of just letting a tech show up and tell you whatever he has on the truck is going to fix what you need, etc. Very pleased customer.

Turf Masters is horrible. My lawn looks no better after months of treatments. They came and aerated/seeded and the charge was $1901 for 1 acre. I never approved them doing this and they said they emailed me 7 months ago to tell me they added it to my contract. It was an offer to prepay and get a discount. I didnt prepay and I understood I was not doing the aeration/seeding. It was NOT in my original contract and I never signed anything. In fact, I did tell the rep on the phone that I would do the seeding/aeration myself when it was time (during my original conversation with them). After extensive conversations, they gave me $950 back. This is still not acceptable and they are not returning my emails. Their communication is awful and they bait/switch you into services you didnt agree to. Im beyond disappointed. If you log into your account you cannot see your contract or anything. They have a very poor business model. The other negative reviews you see are legit. Update: They said they would contact me and have not. Its been over 2 weeks. Ive emailed them again, and no response. Update 2: After I updated my review above they credited me back the remainder of what they charged me. I hate that it had to go this far, but I am glad they responded.

Mostly your work is good and keep your schedule intact. I would like to do the same and treat all corners of the backyard and front yard for 2023. sometime you are missing some corners of the yards and I have to mentioned to your operator. Good Job

I have been a customer of Turf Master for 8 years and for the most part I have been pretty satisfied with my services until this last year. I was really about ready to change lawn care companies until JT came to service my lawn on Friday October 8th. JT was very informative and he left very detailed notes. He left his contact information and assured me that he would be available to answer any question and help with any issues I have moving forward! JT did an awesome job and was very knowledgeable! So far my interactions with Turf Masters have been great! I just had to get my first service call (re-application) as unfortunately it rained shortly after an application. So I waited the two weeks they request before telling them that our weeds never had started to die. They came back out within about five business days, no questions, complaints, or follow-ups needed on my part! Great service. Ive been using them for about a full year now and the lawn is looking better than ever!

This is our 4th year with Turfmaster. My lawn looks the best it has looked since we have been here. I tell all my friends about Turfmaster and in fact two of my friends have recently signed up to use Turfmaster for their lawns. The Techs are always courteous and call the day before they come and properly treat my lawn. It looks awesome.

I have been very happy with my service from Turf Masters. They have identified problems with my yard before it came to an issue and made great recommendations for corrective action. This is exactly what I hired them to do and they have come through.

My lawn still generally doesnt look great... Lots of bare spots and still can find weeds without looking hard. I wasnt happy that they didnt remind me of the additional charge for areation and seeding... also they didnt do the front yard because it was a different type of grass... so they gave me a partial credit. Improved from 2 to 4 stars since I shouldnt have had to call them on it...

The new management at this location needs to go. Dictating staff, morale has been depleted, unrealistic routes, and horrible weed control at my residence. Not sure what s happened to location other than a horrible leader loosing licensed staff left and right. Take your business elsewhere because this new guy is running this company in the ground. He needs to go before he destroys rest of management and staff. Atlanta office, make a serious change NOW. You are allowing upper management to run this place in the ground. Yelling at and demeaning staff is not great leadership. Continuous threats to staff is not great leadership either. If you want to stay in middle TN market, he needs to go now.

Ive been with Turf Masters for 3 years and this has been a very upsetting year. They never completed work from the last Aeration and seeding last fall which is frustrating and unprofessional. Ive supplied many photos of the bald and dying spots that were never addressed. Ive been promised time after time a follow up to prevent the weeds, but they never show or call. I got so tired of calling because it rarely ever accomplishes anything, its mostly a waste of my time and energy. I was assured by the manager (management seems to change with the weather) that I would be put on the schedule for the latest Aeration and seeding (Late October/November) so they could take their time and get it right only to find out they had me on the schedule this week! I of course cancelled that immediately as thats not what we agreed to and Ive never had A&S this early in the season. The nice guys dont seem to be so nice anymore and they break most of their promises. I fully understand why people are leaving this company more and more this year. They only want your money and dont really care about your lawn. I could go on and on with many more stories, but whats the point. They dont care. Extremely dissatisfied.

This place is expensive. $1000 for the year just to keep you informed about weeds in your yard. I cancelled my service befour signing.

We have used Turf Masters going on 7 years now. We pay for for 7 treatments all year long. We had zoysia sod laid 7 years ago and it is beautiful! We mow it on 4 height always. 1) They apply pre-emergent weed control to prevent crabgrass along with post-emergent weed control for any existing weeds. Also apply nitrogen to help maintain color and growth. 2) They apply pre-emergent weed to mulched flower and shrubbery beds to prevent weeds from sprouting up. They also apply pre and post emergent weed control to prevent winter and early spring weeds along with green onions from sprouting up in the spring in our zoysia. 3) They also apply an annual root-zone fertilization to our trees and shrubs which provides a feeding that lasts up to one year promoting better color, growth, and bloom potential. 4) Also apply lime to help insure proper pH levels in the soil. 5) They apply an insect and disease spray along with a foliar feeding of micro-nutrients to all of our plants, dog wood trees, bradford pear trees, etc.. Our yard looks beautiful all year long thanks to Turf Masters Lawn Care! Highly recommend their services!

I contracted with Turf Masters to rebuild my lawn from a Bermuda grass to Tall Fescue. The process was completed as promised and the lawn looks great. I also have regular maintenance through Turf Masters, which is priced right and seems to be working well with the new lawn (some weed issues near the curbs). Over the years, I have always tried to handle my own weed and pest control and annual fertilizing. I finally broke down and contracted with TurfMasters when we moved into our new home with a lawn consisting of sod thrown on top of clay. We also put in $5,000 worth of shrubs and trees. So, when TurfMasters rep Tyson DeMeyer dropped by to give us an assessment, we decided to sign up. That was three years ago and we couldnt be happier or prouder of our lawn and shrubs. We are in a development of 40 new houses and everyone marvels at how beautiful and healthy everything looks. This is a service that is well worth it. When I think of how much money I spent on fertilizer and pesticide to get such poor results over the years. AND, TurfMasters also provides great consulting services. Last year, Tyson, helped me set a summer irrigation schedule that was best and most economical for our lawn and shrubs. Another time a shrub consultant came out to advise my wife on the best shrubs for a spot. I could not be happier with our decision to go with TurfMasters.

The service we have received has been very good. The lawn is a bit thicker than last year, due to the aeration and over seeding. The color is roughly the same, but the convenience of me not having to do the fertilization has been nice. I do get great follow up after the servicing.

Envy of the Neighbors: This is my third year with Turf Master. The yard looks greater and the guy the mows my lawn tells me the others in the neighborhood want their yards to look like mine.

We inherited a bad lawn from the previous owner. While I was able to make some improvements, when Turf Masters took the reigns they nailed it. Diagnosed the issues with the turf, trees, and shrubs. The program Im on with them has dramatically improved all our greenery. These folks know their stuff. I wouldnt use anyone else.

I went with Turfmasters instead of Trugreen after a bad experience with them at a previous address. I dont get a call the day before as others have mentioned. Their overseeding is a bit expensive to me. But at the end of the day, I dont have many weeds, and Im keeping the lawn mostly green with regular watering. So, thats about all I can ask for at this point in year 2 of a new yard.

I have used Turf Masters for over 7yrs. I am very pleased with how my yard has turned out. I never was a work in the yard kind of guy. However, the other day one of my neighbors said I should get yard of the month and I said to her, I don t even do anything in my yard besides mow. It looks this way because of the Master of Turfs!! Turf Master rocks and the people who come and spray are cool!!

The team does a great job communicating when theyll be out to service the lawn and is always helpful with descriptions of the service and anything we need to watch out for with 3 small children who love to run in the grass. The service keeps our lawn looking great with minimal effort on our part.

Tyson (sales person) and Turf Masters have done a nice job on my yard the last 1.5 years. Tyson is extremely responsive to all my concerns and the technicians are very respectful and thorough. I have virtually no weeds in my yard. Am I pleased with my lawn? No, not yet, but I m hopeful for 2019 and believe Tyson when he says he can get me the green lawn I desire. The scorching heat this summer killed a lot of my grass, but I recently had an irrigation system installed. Now the lawn will get plenty of water, so my expectation is my lawn is going to look great next year and I make my 4 stars 5.

All the field and office staff that Ive dealt with over the past couple of 18 months have been very friendly and professional. With every treatment, it just looks better and better. Ive already recommended Turf Masters to my newest neighbor.

Terrible this year so far my yard is full of weeds, not happy with turf masters so far. Theyre coming out this week so we will see if they address it or not.

I have been using Turf Masters for several years but I have never used their seeding and aerating service. I hadnt done it in awhile and truthfully it needed to be done.
