I’m just leaving this review in admiration, I’m not a customer, I’m actually a direct competitor. Duvall landscaping has some of the best pavers and work I’ve seen, in my opinion his company is the standard for this area. Him and his son took their time and gave me some great advice, even though I am a competitor. I’d recommend them any day.
Jeff Duvall and his team are the best in Utah! We kept our eye on the parade of homes houses for years and his yards were always the best. So for years we knew he would landscape our yard and he did not disappoint. His crew and him were at our house for two days and the quality of their work was perfection. He takes so much pride in his service that he comes back each year to check on your trees, bushes, and plants to replace any that didn’t make it! I recommend them to anyone looking for the best.
DuVall is absolutely the best there is. We have received so many positive comments on our yard. They were fast, professional and do quality work! Jeff came back this spring and made sure things were all good and replaced a few trees that weren't growing well. I highly recommend his business!
I can’t say enough good about Jeff Duvall and his crew. Hiring Jeff and his team is hands down one of the best decisions we have made. We have a semi-large front yard and we didn’t want grass in the front. Only someone with landscaping experience and creativity can come up with xeriscape that doesn’t look or feel too much like a desert. I sit on my porch every day and enjoy all of it. Jeff works right alongside with his crew, overseeing all of the details. Jeff knew which plants and trees would bring in color and which ones would give us privacy. Jeff also did our retaining wall, back patio and fire pit. His knowledge is extensive. I’ll try and update our photos as our plants and trees start to mature and fill in.
Duvall Landscaping has been amazing to work with. I wanted to wait a while before I wrote a review because I think that gives enough time to actually know what you are talking about. This is lengthy partly because I am long winded lol but the other part is because I would want to know these details before hiring a landscaper. HOW I HEARD OF DUVALL LANDSCAPING Jeff Duvall came recommended to me by our landscaper designer. Not only did I get a bid from Jeff but I received two other bids from landscapers that came recommended to me by friends who used other guys, when at the time they were happy with their landscaper which sadly has developed to them not being so happy with their landscaper, where I'm super happy with mine. INITIAL MEETING I contacted Jeff in January 2017 and he responded within a few days of me reaching out to him and we set up an initial meeting like the other bids to come to my house and look at what he was going to do. I handed him the landscape design that I had and he gave me a fair bid on it. He actually had some ideas that I really liked that we made small changes to the design of it. Super impressed with his professionalism, straight forwardness, and demeanor. I immediately felt I could trust him. WORK He waited until the spring to do the work like he told me initially and started working. The work was done with much care and precision and was 100% accurate of what I thought it was going to be. He actually even finished it in the time frame that he told me, which I know has not been the case with many landscapers. One of the things that I liked what he did is he broke his bid up into phases and pieces because of my budget so I was able to assess what I wanted to do last year and what I could still do in the years to come. Very impressed with his care about his work. MAINTENANCE Not only did he install my landscape but he taught me how to maintain it so it could keep up looking good the way I want it to look. During 2017 there was some water build up in some spots in my yard that he sent several of his people to look at. We tried several things how to fix it but nothing seemed to work. He personally looked at some things and we tried some things out and it seemed to minimize the issue but the water build up was there (there is a high water table where I live). In the spring of 2018 we noticed the water build up again, he came out and looked at it and immediately told us that he would put sump pumps in for free because of the need and everything else we tried didn't work. That was awesome. I didn't ask him to do that, he just did it. That's service at its best. Not only did he do that and install that within a couple of weeks, he noticed some bark was low and added some bark for us at no cost. WOW. Again, I didn't ask him to do this, he just did it. Super impressed RECOMMENDATION I highly recommend Jeff because of all of things above but also because of how I feel he has done. As I'm writing this there are MANY MORE things that I could write that are very positive, but I don't want to make it that lengthy haha. He has liven up to the expectations and we have had such a great experience with him and his crew. He is exactly the type of guy that we love to hire, honest, hard working, attentive to detail, pleasant to be around, and timely. I also want to say that he didn't ask me to write a review for him, which I really like. He just impressed me enough that I wanted to do it for him. I would recommend you contacting him early in the year because his schedule fills up very fast because of the overall quality of experience people have with him. I know it's only been a year and half since I have been working with him, if something changes where I don't feel like it is a 5 star experience, I will update this review, but I definitely don't see that happening with Jeff. I was referred to Jeff (the owner of Duvall landscaping) for our yard from a friend who had used him. I thought my friend was giving Jeff too much credit but I was wrong. Jeff was super willing to not only help us, but put up with my wife and I changing our minds a couple times. He was really good at getting back to us as soon as he was available. His wife was also very prompt in getting us our bids for the work we wanted done. The price was very fair for all the work and materials. Our yard looks absolutely AMAZING and we couldn't be happier. I seriously will never have someone else do my landscaping. I hope all my future home purchases fall under the area that Duvall landscaping does because it was well worth it! The picture included is just the backyard with a before and after. They took a complete waste of a yard and made it perfectly how we asked.
We just had our yard landscaped by Duvall and it was a GREAT experience! The ground they had to work with was super rocky but they were able to cut through all that and make my yard just like we had on the plans. Jeff's communication was awesome and I loved knowing he was out there with his crew and that I could walk out and ask him a question at anytime. He was courteous, knowledgeable AND he had the best price out of all the competition! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! Thanks Duvall!!!!

They did our landscaping 11 years ago and we have been super unhappy since. Weve had to replace trees and bushes that were put in the wrong place and have had many other problems as well. Even after these many years we see so many mistakes that he had made and have been very disappointed. We feel that he really was just wanting our money and then wanted us to leave him alone. HE WAS CERTAINLY NOT KNOWLEDGABLE ABOUT LANDSCAPING AND SPRINKLERS! If you come back and fix and replace the problems you have created...I will remove this review.

Not responsive after several messages and texts, waste of time
Duvall did a great job listening to my ideas, giving me there ideas and creating something great for our home. The team was thorough, fast and did some nice extras that I had not even asked for it was a great surprise to see how well it all came out. Very positive experience.
They did a fantastic job on my sons retaining wall. Their neighbors admired it so much, they had theirs done too. Great customer service too.
Jeff has been the most professional worker we have worked with since we moved to Utah. He is on time and communicates extremely efficiently. He gives detailed bids and lets you know if there are changes or price variances. We have thoroughly enjoyed working with him. He knows his plants and has really creative ideas to maximize space and color in the yard. A+ from this eastern family!

Our landscaping has been finished for a few months now and looks amazing. Were constantly receiving complements on it. Jeff and Stephanie were very easy to work with, from the multiple revised estimates (Stephanie, we changed our minds, again) to plant selection (sorry Jeff, we really dont like the bush we just had you plant), and follow-up (Jeff, would you believe me if I told you nine head of cattle just walked over the fresh sod?). Jeff and team worked insanely hard to make sure we were happy with the job they did and answered all our questions along the way. I highly recommend Duvall Landscaping.
Our project just finished up this week and we are thrilled. Weve already spent more time in our back yard in the last couple of days than we did in the 15 years weve been here. Jeff and his team were great to work with. No project like this is without hiccups, but we remained flexible and communicated well with Jeff. That is the key with any job. He and the team take pride in their work and really want to achieve your project goals. I realize it is early and the plants and lawn need to take, but Im confident that if anything comes up, Jeff will make it right. We are super pleased with the outcome and are enjoying the yard already. Wed use them again without hesitation.

Jeff (who is the owner) is the absolute man! I personally have hired him to do a residential landscape, and a two acre commercial landscape for me as well. If youd like to see his work feel free to drive by 450 N. 1500 W. in Orem. Duvall Landscape is extremely competitive on cost, hits his deadlines and always discusses any changes that need to happen well in advance, vs surprising you with additional fees/costs at the end or when he submits invoices. I will continue to use him, and would refer anyone to use his services.
I was impressed when I recently had Duvall Landscaping do a full sprinkler system / sod install as well as planting shrubs and spreading mulch. The only match to the knowledge and skill of Jeff and his install crew is the responsiveness and professionalism with which Stephanie handles the office side of things. Both of these aspects were important to me when it came to choosing a landscaper; I wanted quality work, but then I also wanted the assurance that I could get a hold of someone in the event of any future problems. Working with this company was a pleasure and I would recommend their work to anyone.
Duvall did the landscaping for my home. They were hired to do Sod, flower beds with curbing and sprinklers. I have never in my life seen such a sloppy job. They were supposed to put in weed barrier landscape fabric in the flower beds. Instead they put in tiny little bits and pieces of fabric and did not even try to overlap the fabric. They also did not use any fabric pins which means it is basically useless. The weeds just work their way around the little pieces of fabric and push right up, Especially with no pins to hold it in place. I told them that this was unacceptable while they were doing it and they said well this is how we do it and we never have a problem. Well they were wrong. The flower beds are a disaster. The area that was to be sod had been a field filled with weeds. instead of killing the weeds so the ground was clean they just scraped the soil and just laid the sod right on top of the weeds. So the very second that the sod was put down, here come the weeds through the sod. And then last but not least...the sprinklers..... They put in too few sprinklers and used a system that is completely inadequate to keep the lawn watered. The lawn will never be green unless I had a whole new system installed. I would NEVER hire this company to do my yard!
