Chris did an amazing job taking care of our front yard. He kept in touch and was very responsive to all my questions. He was flexible with what we wanted and was able to complete the job not only within our budget but he also kept his time frame! I would recommend Chris to any friends and/or family for any landscaping needs!! Ohh and he cleaned up any mess before he left!!! Seriously, if you need any work done in your yard Chris is the guy you want to do it!

I highly recommend Black Birch Tree and landscaping. Chris is very easy going, fair priced, punctual and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and more. I had him come do pruning, mulch and fertilizing and he did an excellent job. Very pleased on how the project turned out. Chris uses pet and well safe products so you don’t have to worry about anyone getting sick from chemicals. Couldn’t be happier working with this company.

Chris and his crew did a fantastic job! They removed two very dead and potentially dangerous trees from my property and pruned two large low hanging branches from oaks on the edge of my yard. They then stacked the wood where I asked them to and cleaned up all of the sawdust and other debris. Chris executed the work with great care for both my property as well as for his crew’s and his own safety. They wore appropriate safety gear and used safe techniques as well as being specifically thoughtful about how the trees coming down may affect my other plants and landscape. They arrived when expected, took care of the work we discussed and even went a step further and pruned some additional smaller branches I had asked about at no additional charge. I highly recommend Black Birch and Chris to anyone looking to have similar work done around their home safely and professionally.
The price for the service of cutting down a dead tree and cutting off a broken limb was considerably lower than a local well-known competitor, and the job was done professionally. Chris had to reschedule because of unforeseen events, but he was quick to notify us and kept in contact to reschedule. We would definitely use him again.

Chris is a nice guy to work with, however I needed him to come back and finish the job that I gave alot of money to do so. He said he would but always an excuse and a rushing to get out.

Chris did a great job removing a tree that was growing right next to the Housatonic river. He was flexible in his timing to avoid icy conditions or when the river level was too high. He was always very prompt in his email replies. I strongly recommend you ask him to quote on your next arborist job.
This company came and took down 3 trees of mine. During the process they blatantly disregarded my request to leave my weeping cherry tree alone. Even though the trees were marked as to which ones would be taken down. They still somehow messed up and took down a weeping cherry tree that my late wife planted when we first bought the house. NEVER will be using this company again. After I consulted the owner of the business about the cherry tree, he was very disrespectful and rude to me. Tried to get me to pay MORE for his labor of taking down the cherry tree. They also left clibbins in my driveway and road in front of my house. This is very dangerous for bikers. There are multiple more reliable business out there, DO NOT under any circumstances use this company!!!!

Disappointed. Unfortunately they havent completed the job. They removed the trees which we were happy with. They were supposed to clear out all the brush/shrubbery in that same area. Chris said there was poison ivy so he needed to spray before he could remove it. He came back a few days later to spray but hasnt returned since. He kept saying he would come back certain days but would never show up. He was at least responding to us but now he hasnt responded in a few weeks and a job that was started in May has still not been completed 3 months later.
This is my second time using Black Birch Tree Service. Excellent service and great prices! Highly recommend to anyone who needs any type of tree or landscaping work!
