DO NOT HIRE!! As a realtor in SLC and PC, I've hired many different landscaping companies for jobs on my own home as well as my clients home. This year I got an flyer from Hormiga Landscaping so I thought I'd give them a try - well, big mistake. First off, after having to reschedule, they were consistently late, showing up at my home at 3:50pm (which I have proved to them on our ring camera). From there they were to do a fall clean up in the front and do the gutters. They ended up getting on my roof with a blower and just blew the loose leaves out of the gutters into my yard, I've checked and it's still not cleaned. The backyard wasn't apart of the scope so they didn't even clean the debris from the gutters, they simply just blew it into my backyard and made it more of a problem for me later. They did pick up some leaves in the front, but they left all bushes and sides covered, clearly not finished. Then they left at 5:50pm. Now they're trying to charge me for the unfinished work (and the more work they've caused me) and are stating that they were there for 2.5 hours for $371.25!!! I'm sorry, but simple math - 3:50pm to 5:30pm is not 2.5 hours. I will never use these guys again and I highly suggest that no one else uses them. These photos are examples of their "finished work". Oh and they did ask me to come back, for more money of course...
Booked aeration treatment on September 9, 2024. Owner called me today that they are done aerating lawns for the season therefore they will not be aerating my lawn which I signed an estimate for. Madison and the manager have called me multiple times and told me the lawn aeration would be performed multiple Saturdays and no one ever showed the staff will just lie to you about scheduling and push you off which I now see in other reviews this is a huge problem they should of called me and not waited for a month and a half to let me know they were not going to aerate my lawn.
Dishonest, deceitful. And expensive. Their estimate was made intentionally unclear, so they could charge me 3 times what the estimate suggested. The amount they charged was completely out of line for the work they did. The quality of work was fine, but not worth the price, or the bad feelings of being cheated.
I want to thank Hormiga and especially Cruz with their professional handling of our French drain and landscaping. We have never had any one business stand by their work the way Hormiga does. They always answer their phone and Cruz would always get back with us immediately. They say they will be there on a certain date and time and they fulfill their promise by doing just that. I have never had such excellent service with any other contractor. I will use Hormiga on future projects and I will recommend Hormiga to every person, friend and family I encounter when asked who I would recommend. I can’t say enough about this landscaping company. They have more than earned my trust and confidence in their professional work.

After buying my home, I had to return to Alaska, and I didn’t know who to turn to to take care of the landscaping. I found Hormiga and they quickly came out and provided weekly services! Upon arriving to my new home a month later, my lawn was beautiful. My flowerbeds were kept nice and trim. Since that time in October 2023, they’ve continued to take care of my lawn, the flowerbeds cleanup, maintenance, repairing a fountain, that had been unused for years, repairing and maintenance of the sprinkler system and much more. They care for and treat my house with pride and are conscientious of their work. I highly recommend Hormiga Landscapes to anyone. !!!
For the past 5 years or so, weeds and ivy have been taking over my front yard flower beds. I really needed some help with cleaning up the beds. I called Hormiga Landscapes, and Juan Jose got back to me immediately. He was able to come to my house the same day and get a quote set up. Later in the day, when I realized I might want my back yard beds cleaned up as well, Juan came back and added to info to the quote. The very next day, the team was here. It was a ton of work, but they got it done and my beds are fresh and ready for planting. Everyone I spoke with that day (from the office staff to Juan and the gardening team) was extremely helpful and incredibly nice. You don't see that type of customer service all the time these days. I am definitely going to have them back to do more work in the future. I totally trust this company.
The process was very easy to set up. They arrived when they said they where going to for an estimate on the yard. It was very nice that they brought the lady receptionist I had spoken with on the phone to also meet with me because it made the meeting more comfortable for me. Then they showed up that same day to spring clean my yard after I agreed to the cost. He outlined all the cost so I knew what I would be paying for upfront. The yard looks amazing! I'm so happy with this company.

They walked through my flower bed to put a flyer on my door blocking my ring camera and right next to the do not solicit sign??? If they do this trying to get your business? what will they be like if they actually get your business?

I like working with Hormigas but maybe a little expensive. I know that we pay for quality but it is a bit too much
Fast and professional!
DO NOT HIRE. I received a quote between $300 and $400 to do some sprinkler work. After the work I received a bill for $804. When I asked about the overage I found out they charged me $300 for the time the landscapers were shopping at home depot for parts. After this they refused to answer my emails or calls. I would not hire them again.
This company helped me so much with my yard. I had them come do a consultation on Saturday and they were mowing by Monday. They also cleaned up all of the other stuff from my yard for an extra fee, but it was worth every penny. My yard looks so good, and working with them was the best decision I ever made!

Quoted me one price and charge us double after. They also ran over multiple sprinkler heads we had to replace and damaged our kids play set. I tried calling and texting them to remedy the situation and they never responded back.
These guys have done a great job! Came for a few days to finish spring cleaning for our big yard. Rain or shine and worked hard and fast. Will use them again.

The team at Hormiga Landscapes is amazing! I have a house with a yard that is difficult for me to maintain. I have struggled to keep up with the bare minimum for several years. Hormiga came in and did a clean up that was BEYOND my expectations and has been now maintaining my yard for 2 months and it has never looked so amazing! Everyone I have talked to has been very responsive and professional. I also appreciate the online portal with services records and bill pay. Could not recommend them more. :)
Hormiga Landscapes performed a thorough rain gutter cleaning at my house, removing debris and branches from the roof and eaves. They left no trace behind, and its rare to find such availability nowadays. Appreciated the service at the right price.
Excellent service. I was lucky to have found Hormiga Landscaping to do much needed extensive lawn cleanup and at a fair price. I was very satisfied after they were done. When it comes to mowing, they re very fast and efficient. They always leave my lawn looking fresh. I m sure the neighbors appreciate the neat front lawn as much as I do.
