12/11/2024- Tuxedo Yard Care is the best!! I highly recommend them! ----------------- I just had Carlos and young lady come do a yard clean up, and OH BOY, I am so please with how it turned out. They did such an amazing job. There was so many weeds and debris, just a mess. After they finished I can see my beautiful rock walls. Second to none in service and they always make my yard look great, and it s not easy with all the trees. I wouldn t trust my yard to anyone else. I have been using Tuxedo for a few years now and I am always satisfied with the results. The recent yard cleanup was a lot to tackle(Thank you Ryann and Caden!), but the guys did fantastic work and made sure it was done right before they left. Beyond satisfied! They recently completed a much needed fall cleanup on my property, and their professionalism, attention to detail, and work ethic were truly outstanding. CC has been coming for 3 or 4 weeks now. She is very good and is able to see what needs to be done beyond the weeds. Enjoy working with her.

They service the HOA near me, and every week they dump all the grass clippings in the middle of the street making only one lane of travel or car able to pass at a time. I dont understand why they cant dump the grass clippings into the truck ? Or put the clippings in front or behind their truck instead of in the middle of the road next to the truck. This has continued for the past two years. Guess I will have to contact the Police department and let them issue a few tickets for code violations. **UPDATE** They were good for a few weeks about keeping the piles of grass clippings and huge tarps out of the center of the road. But as of this morning, they are back at it... Blocking 2 lanes of traffic in the neighborhood. One for their truck and the other, the center lane, with big piles of grass clippings. I guess some people / businesses dont think that rules apply to them. I will be contacting the city code enforcement now to see if they can resolve this issue and maybe issue a few fines. Probably wont start taking it seriously until it costs them some time and money. Dont you just love H.O.A.s

Went here for an interview and then told me that I wasnt eligible to work for them I wasted my time, dont apply here they are always hiring every 3 months

Our lawn looks the best it has ever. Tuxedo does a great job AND always keeps me informed about when and what will be done.

While many other repair services were unresponsive or dismissive, Tuxedo is obviously well organized and highly communicative. Even though the main problem had fixed itself, the technician, (so sorry that I did not get his name), was professional and informative. He did point out and fix some other issues with our sprinkler system. We would be happy to use Tuxedo Yard Care again.

I had them come to replace my sprinkler valves, which were leaking. Overall, I think the work was good, but it took 4 visits and me making follow up phone calls to get it in a working and finished state. It took a lot more time, and therefore money, than was estimated, so that was frustrating.

Justine on the customer service team is so helpful- knowledgeable! I receive wonderful service when she is handling the scheduling and anything that comes up!

Absolute worst lawn care service Ive ever received. I didnt call them, they called me to ask about winterizing my sprinklers. I said they could. Then, I was informed by the technician that he had put too much pressure through my system and damaged some sprinkler heads. We asked that the sprinkler heads be fixed but were told that due to winter conditions theyd have to wait until spring to fix them. I reached out to them at the start of summer seating this repair. They said it would be best to repair the heads during the season start up service. Again I agreed in hopes that they would fix the issues they caused. Not only did they not fix the broken sprinkler heads but the technician was unable to start up my system. Another technician had to come trouble shoot the issue, but he also didnt resolve the problems. They did come replace the broken sprinkler heads, but we later learned from a reputable company that the amount of pressure necessary to damage the heads would also result in damaged solenoids, valves, etc. 2 entire sections of our sprinkler system were left completely non-functioning. They offered a minimal refund, but it in no way makes up for the damage they caused. It doesnt even fully make up for the amount we paid them to damage our system. They are a crooked company who shouldnt be in business and should never be put in a position to touch sprinkler systems.

These guys are amazing to work with, it was a holiday and they still came out and mowed my yard when I asked them to. They are great to work with. I highly recommend you work with this company.

Logan and Mario were fantastic! They were both easy to work with. They always kept me in the loop about how the job was progressing and what needed to be done in repairing my backflow to the sprinklers. We have mobility issues that prevent us from personally doing yard care. Fortunately we discovered Tuxedo. All the seasonal clean-up dead heading, mulching, weeding and trimming has given us a beautiful yard at a very reasonable price. The service is flexible with plenty of opportunity to request specific services. We have been relieved of a substantial burden and are very pleased with the work that is regularly done.

The person I talked to was amazing, I think her name was Karen. She literally scheduled us service for THE NEXT DAY. Communication was awesome through email and text. They showed up, very professional, polite, and quick. We are very happy with the aeration and will be using them for more services! Thanks Tuxedo for making a smooth process all around.

4th year customer. Always the best for weed and feed. Effective care of xeriscaped parts of yard, weed free! Exceptional yard cutting and trimming. Crew does an extraordinary job. Yard is a challenge to cut, and trim but the job is done with attention to detail. Care for sprinkler system, protection of trees, grapes and gardens is the best. Used other companies before Tuxedo and my plants and trees always suffered damage. I tried to do it myself for a year and failed to do as good a job as my current crew. I called them and got everything setup for them to repair sprinkler lines. I called 2 weeks later to see when I would get my repair. They said it was their busy season and they would contact me when they would be able to schedule me. Needless to say, it s been a month and no information. I ended up taking care of it myself.

Michael & Alton did a wonderful job! Weeds, fallen tree limbs, bricks, and old wood/fence/poles to be removed & hauled away in just four hours. Saved me from what would have taken me a month and 16-20 trips to the dump.

I guess they do a good job didnt really make a difference. Be careful because they auto renew you so if you dont call and specifically cancel they will just come out and do the work. They wont confirm with you and they will charge your account.

Good lawncare and sprinkler services

I scheduled fertilization services on March 21. Three weeks go by and my lawn has yet to have its first treatment. I was promised one day this week and then they just decided not to let me know that they were no longer coming that day and it would be another 4 days of waiting without any communication. My neighbor whom I share a yard with is with this company as well and her first application was applied last week!!! When I brought this to their attention and asked why I m being lied to, Karen (her real name) told me that they are only human and the weather has been bad. But couldn t explain why the neighbor who lives just a few feet away got hers done last week and I didn t? She blamed me for not hearing them out. She laughed and said are you kidding me when I asked for verification that my card would be deleted from their system. When I asked to speak to Amber (who had been really helpful and nice), she told me no. Their lack of communication with their customers is appalling. Please avoid.

The lawn crew was professional and yard looks great! Fertilizing, mowing, and trimming has resulted in a the best looking yard in the neighborhood.

Jose and Clinton were AMAZING! I can rave about how great they did for us. They continually kept us updated and asked questions when they weren t sure on something. They were quick and efficient and if we ever need yard work done again, I d hope we d be lucky enough to have these two do the job!

I havent gotten the service yet but I want to after the conversation I had with one of your techs out here in Layton. Jerry was very informative and professional and my neighbors lawn looks great!

We have been customers of yours for the past 3 years. Each year we literally have to beg for an appointment. We try to schedule well in advance and by the time you respond you say that you are full and not taking new appointments or not scheduling for that service. We have tried to stay faithful customers because when the work is done it is done well. However, I am sad to say you have lost our business. Please do better with your responses to current and future customers. It is a shame that your customer service overshadows your work.

We had used Tuxedo at our previous home and always had a good experience, however. Our first mow of this season was at a new address and it was a disaster. Almost half our yard was not even touched, the edging and weedeating was spotty, and the mow itself seemed very rushed. We spoke with Tuxedo and within the day another crew came out. Brody and Christian (Shaggy) absolutely killed it. They fixed every issue and even went above and beyond and knocked down some growth in our flower beds. The most professional and courteous guys I have had the pleasure of doing business with. Whatever the reward for a good review, double it, these are the guys keeping your business up and running and they represent the company in the best of light. I would highly recommend Tuxedo to anyone as long as Brody and Christian are representing them in the way they did today. Thank you!

The crew that cares for our grounds at Seasons on Skyline (crew#1) are really good. They do amazing grounds maintenance and are always very professional and nice. The complex always looks great when they are done. Tuxedo gets my recommendation.

Isaiah & Trevor came to take care of weeds in my flowerbeds and some gravel patches in my backyard. It was a complete mess before they arrived! I d booked them for the whole day. They arrived promptly and got straight to work. They did a fabulous job, even helping me with some vines on my back fence, and finished with time to spare. They were professional, kind, nonjudgmental about just how ridiculous the weeding situation was, and really took the time to make sure everything looked right and that I was happy. Trevor and Logan did a fantastic job cleaning out the overgrowth in my flower beds. They trimmed bushes and made my trees look like proud trees again! They worked all day in the hot sun!

We were having issues with the sprinkler system at our new home, which had zero water pressure. Mario with Tuxedo was able to easily determine what was wrong with our system and repaired it perfectly. We will be asking Tuxedo to do some weed control spraying and follow up care as well. Mario did a wonderful job!

Office staff cant take information to get started. I just got off the phone with their receptionist. Because I was put off about them asking for my email before even having been to my home, she suggested that I call another company & hung up on me. Regardless, they were booked out 1-1.5 weeks. For the record, I did call back, the gal let it go to voice mail. I didnt leave one. I found another sprinkler repair company in West Haven. Theyre coming out tomorrow AND theyre cheaper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ill be steering all future clients away from Tuxedo Lawn Care company.

NOTE: NEED TO UPDATE THIS REVIEW AS THE WORK PERFORMED AND PRICE ARE IN DISPUTE AS OF SEPT 12. Tuxedo Yard Care was short-handed on my scheduled day. Instead of two workers, they sent Mike who did an excellent job clearing weeds from the designated area in my backyard. Mike communicated well, asked questions, was responsive and courteous. Mike did a great job cleaning up when he was done.

Prompt, accommodating and listened to what I needed to have done. I m very well pleased. Will definitely use them again.

I live in Layton by North Davis prep academy and I see tuxedo out and about all if the time they always go the extra mile and they always help me when in need so I want to give a shout out to them good job tuxedo!

Used them back in November for some yard cleanup. They did a stellar job, so I decided I would use them the following spring for regular lawn care throughout the year. Unfortunately, when I called, I was given a price that was well outside my budget. I thought this was odd, considering I had already received a quote back in November, and it was nearly half the price. I attempted to find the quote while I was on the phone, but couldnt find it. I also found it odd that there was no attempt to relieve my concerns or find another solution. It was just a sorry about that, bye. (not verbatim) After the phone call, I found the quote and realized what the problem was. The price wasnt really an issue, only the frequency. I have tried to call back, but I have been unable to reach anyone to confirm. In short, their service, from my limited experience, is very good. Which is why it is a shame that their phone reps are unable or unwilling to inform or help their potential customers choose what service(s) they need.

I wanted to thank Alton Moore from Tuxedo Yardcare for taking the time to analysis the problem we re having with invasive weeds in our yard. He went out of his way to explain what they were and how the weed treatment from Tuxedo would get them under control. Got a new place and the yard has some work to do. Alton came out to treat the lawn, I asked him a few questions and he had great recommendations and was very helpful. Next week Dylan came out to take a look at the sprinkler system, huge help! Made some repairs and will be coming back out to repair some heads. 10 out of 10, glad I called and would recommend.

Damien and Dylan have been mowing and weed eating my yard this summer and are doing a great job. My yard is very difficult to maintain as its on a large hill with several rock walls. They have been more than willing to go the extra mile to help contain the weeds that grow on the rocks and it is greatly appreciated. I would recommend them to anyone needing yard care.

This is my second review for this company. Zach and his crew that mow my lawn weekly go above and beyond to make sure my yard is looking great every time they leave. They always make sure to close and lock the gate behind them which is a big deal for me, because I have pets and two small children that I really would rather not chase around the neighborhood. Alton has been doing the chemical treatments on my yard and he has been very knowledgeable and professional, and my lawn has honestly never looked better. When we bought our house our new yard was seriously overrun by dandelions and other weeds. It was a mess. A friend told me about Tuxedo Yard Care and it has honestly been one of the greatest investments we have made for our home. We havent had a single dandelion in years not to mention that the yard is easily one of the nicest looking yards on the block. The price is very reasonable and worth every cent!

Billy and Alejandro did a great job clearing out a lot of very large weeds that had taken over my flower beds. They protected good plants so all of them are fine. They cleaned up all the waste. Also, they were quick so the bill was less than I expected. I would definitely recommend Tuxedo.

My first time I ever used a lawn service. I got a citation from the city and TYC was able to get me in before my deadline was up. Alton Moore has been fertilizing and treating for weeds on my property this season. He does an outstanding job and always sprays evenly and thoroughly the entire area. He asks if I have any questions and locks the backyard gates when hes finished. Hes a nice guy and knows what hes doing!

I hired them for a fall cleanup (trim bushes, pick weeds out of raised beds, etc.). The quality of service wasn t initially up to the standard I expected based on their claims of expertise and the insinuation of Tuxedo to mean 1st class, however, they came back out and corrected the poor work. The manager also made it seem like they were doing me a favor for not charging me to come a second time for free to fix the things they missed and pick up a dozen or so rocks they had left in my yard. In the end it looked great, and I m very satisfied. Thanks to the crew, William, Genaro, a third guy who s name I didn t catch, and Billy, the enhancement manager, for being professional and ultimately getting it right.

Jose and Michael came out this time to remove the weeds from all my non grass areas (about half my landscaped property). They did a great job and I will have them and the tuxedo team come out again next season.

It was difficult not working off a scheduled time. I like to know when I can expect the service. Although that was annoying, Jerry was awesome! He is at peak performance and will no doubt be a living legend in the lawn care industry soon enough. He gave me a heads up when he was coming, he was quick thorough and on the ball! Give this man a raise!

I typically winterize my sprinklers myself, but this year havent had the time and decided to pay for the service. I researched several companies and Tuxedo seemed to be one of the best. I submitted the quote request online over the weekend and on Monday received a call to provide me with the quote. I was given the pricing and rate and an explanation of how the service would be handled as well as an idea of the expected time. We setup an appointment for Wednesday afternoon. When Wednesday afternoon came the weather had turned bad and I received an email from Tuxedo indicating that weather had caused their schedule to backup and that theyd be out Friday afternoon to perform the service. That was fair and I appreciated the communication. On Friday the Tuxedo truck pulled up at 1:25 PM. Jerry knocked on the door, introduced himself, asked me to help him familiarize himself with my system and make sure he had access to my controller and went to work. At 1:40 he knocked on the door, told me hed serviced all 8 zones and 3 hose bibs, gave me a business card with his name and a Google review QR code and went on his way. 15 minutes and the job was done. I saw the zones in the front yard blowing out as I looked out my home office window but of course didnt follow Jerry around to each one. I trust that the job was done well and my perception is very much that that was the case. To my knowledge this service was performed well and efficiently. All signs are that Tuxedo did an excellent job and I anticipate Ill have them back again next fall to winterize my system again.

Dylan from Tuxedo Yard Care visited the house earlier today and winterized the sprinkler system with an air compressor. Overall, the service visit was excellent. Dylan was extremely friendly, respectful and knowledgeable about the service he performed. He answered all questions in a courteous manner and was flat out awesome! Tuxedo Yard Care is fortunate to have him as an employee!

This year we hired them to do many things. Weeding, cleaning up, planting, mulching, and lawn care. They were pleasant to work with and do their best. This past week, Railey and Devon (sorry, I might heard their names wrong ) came to clean up our front yard, mainly raking. I still saw leaves in lawn, but without mowing, and avoiding taking too much the new mulch, they did a good job. The leaves are still on trees and shrubs, so I m sure we ll call them again to come back when the leaves are all fallen to clean up.

These 2 guys went to town on my back yard and pulled every weed back there and literally filled their truck full of weeds. They did one heck of a job and I would recommend them to anyone that has an over grown weed patch they call a back yard like I did. Now I am set up on weed control and lawn mowing with Tuxedo to keep the weeds from coming back. Next year is going to be a great year for my lawn!

The mowers are very thorough and conscientious. they cut a different pattern each time; they do a great job trimming; they clean up afterwards very well. They also trim out the roof drains in the lawn to keep them flowing well. I really like their quality service.

We had a couple issues that came up but the owner, James, came himself to resolve them and to make sure we were satisfied with the work that was done. Rude and unwilling to even take me as a customer

We have this company coming out thru the oil refinery we rent thru, they destroy flowers and anything left in the yard. We have to get toys for our dogs that arent cheap and long leads for them to be on our front. We have had a bunch of toys shredded about 5 leads destroyed. We would have it all cleaned up if they would pick a day they are coming out. We have been serviced every day of the week so far. They dont care about your flowers, today I had to go stop the kid from hitting my window and the iris plant. The plants has been shredded by them not caring! A couple weeks ago all the flower buds were chopped off so we wont have flowers this year! We have asked what day they are planning on coming out and all they can say is whenever we can. We ask them to be careful of the plants and they smile at you and continue to shred the plants. Tuxedo was really good and careful last year. I have my own company and if we cared as much as these people do about what they do we wouldnt have clients.

We have been in contact with the supervisor many times and feel we get no where. They have ruined our fence in many places, when they ruined a bunch of our flowers they were supposed to add to them they ripped them all out and planted a couple new tiny ones. Today they had to come back to remow the yard and as the guy was mowing he stepped all over the flowers in the garden and ruined them. Ruined a baby tree we planted. As they were driving away they made it very clear to laugh at my mom. Its as if they enjoy ruining our gardens and yard because they get away with it. We are about to get our own stuff to take care of our lawn! The last company was bad but at least they some what listened. Its so bad we ended up having to contact our rental company and they werent surprised we had complaints. If that says anything. Dont even know what the point of posting this is, its not like they care!

Wow.... dont believe the reviews. These guys are the WORST at communication. I had several sprinklers valves replaced with automated ones, a timer installed, and 3 heads move and replaced. I was quoted a price, they came out and took care of it (about two weeks later than I was originally told) and didnt even tell me when they were done. I had to call to make sure they were finished and still didnt get confirmation until days later after requesting an update that night. Well, after another guy come out to fix what the original guy did wrong (one valve was leaking BAD) I asked for a breakdown of the labor costs because I dont like seeing an arbitrary number when maybe the rush job they did was not anywhere near the number of hours they anticipated. I talked to the operations manager and was told I would be sent a breakdown of the price and then they would get the second half of the payment from me. Well, I they just charged my card the next day without contacting me and I still havent seen a breakdown of cost. Its been weeks... I gave two stars only because I now have working sprinklers, hallelujah!

This company went out of their way to make sure my job was perfection. I appreciated the kind staff and the owner was very easy to work with. They answer the phone and emails promptly so it is not hard to get a hold of anyone. I would recommend them to anyone.

I had just moved into a new home and I felt like I didn t know where to start with the yard. The home was a foreclosure and the yard needed a lot of work. I called Tuxedo Yard Care and told the nice receptionist my issue. She suggested that they come out and meet with me to discuss options and give advice. The owner came out two days later and spent time with me making a plan for my yard. The owner seemed like he cared and wanted to help. I felt better about what I was going to do with my yard after that. Anyway they did an amazing job and asked a lot of questions throughout the job to make sure it was exactly how I wanted it. I m a very happy customer.

It looked so great I was just so happy I had to give them a great review. My bushes are cute balls and squares. I had a jungle that was growing for 12 years. They came in, cleaned everything up. The house and yard look so much better, open and manicured. If I were you I would call them.

Hired them for clean up. Prices were not the cheapest but you get what you pay for in my opinion and these guys were WORTH every penny. They started when they said they would and worked until the job was done (3 days worth of work). They cleaned up everything when they were done. Cord came out and made sure it looked good and we were satisfied when it was done. Their cost to themselves was higher than they thought but they stuck to their bid. I voluntarily paid them a bit extra to cover the overage because I was so happy with their product. Jorge worked non stop and should be given a raise.

Called these guys and they came by like ninjas 2 days later to aerate my front and back yards. They were very professional and left no mess. I will definitely be using them again.

Avoid. First time I set up an appt for him to come out and give us an estimate on the work we needed to do, he was a no show. When I called HIM to find out what happened, he said one of his teams hit a sprinkler or something and the site was a mess. He had to go and fix it himself. We rescheduled, he was 30 mins late. After looking at what we needed done, he quoted us $900. He was backed up on work, so it would be 3 or 4 weeks before he could get to us. At this point, I should have just said no and tried to find another person, but I didnt. Fool me. 4 weeks later, Ive left a few messages on his phone. They are not returned. Avoid this business at all costs. HUGE waste of time and energry!
