Worked quickly. Always on time. Cleaned up after. Yard looked wonderful.

Very unhappy with the work done no warranty on plants large trees planted with wire baskets not removed. Do your own research but this is not a proper nursery practice. Make sure to go over there bid extra hours for equipment not used.

I replaced most of Richards work last year and had to replace more this year. Totally incompetent! Notice how he always blames the customer.... Im sorry you feel this way BEWARE!!

They recently installed a new sprinkler system for me. I couldnt be happier with the price and the service. And the sprinklers work great.

Solid company, very polite and professional

Bytendorp Landscaping did some sprinkler work for us that was top notch. They also added some flower beds in. Both sprinkler manifolds were replaced, heads were moved, and the lawn has looked better than ever. They are responsive and detailed in what they are quoting.

Alan and his team were hardworking and knowledgeable! He was kind and answered all my questions and requests. Our yard looks great with new sod and a new sprinkler system! We can t wait for the summer.

I ve had many interactions with Bytendorp Enterprises Landscaping over the years, and I ve always been impressed with the quality of service they provide. No detail is overlooked with their jobs ranging from laying sod, installing sprinkler systems, providing snow removal services, and more. One thing I ve especially appreciated about this company is that they are proactive about solving potential problems and are quick to provide solutions that are reasonable and practical. I highly recommend!

I had them come help with my sprinkler system. They were quick to come out and completely upfront and honest about what they were going to do and what the cost would be. For sure will use them again!

Bytendorp Enterprises Landscaping provided a refresh to my back yard, planted a new tree, added top soil, sod, and edging, and performed sprinkler repairs and aeration. The services had to be done in stages, and at each stage, the crew or crew person showed up as promised, were hard working, thorough and polite. If you want a landscaper that is responsive, fairly priced, and hardworking, then you need to contact this company.

Take your money elsewhere. We gave these guys $18k and will be hiring more landscapers two years later to redo a lot of it. Our lawn has never come in like our other areas done by another company, the top soil must have been useless or nonexistent in some areas and our sprinkler coverage is awful where they installed. Ive reached out multiple times and the answer is always... Give it time, Im not going to send guys out cause theres nothing to be done. Maybe one of these days Ill see if a small claims judge agrees because $18k is not a small amount of money. As you can see from other poor reviews, their word doesnt mean much and they essentially blame the customer when they respond. If that doesnt tell you what you need to know I dont know what will. Its under Jessica Leavitt. I text several times providing my name and number also.

Richard was great to work it. I explained what we were thinking we wanted for landscaping, he offered some ideas to compliment what we were wanting and we love the finished product. Would highly recommend Bytendorp.

Bytendorp Landscaping redid our entire front lawn. They were great to work with, communicated well to let us know the timeline and what was happening, and had everything done when they said it would be done. I would highly recommend them.

We had a fairly large backyard project and Richard was incredibly helpful with our plans and patient with all of our questions. His crew is the best. They completed the project very fast and were communicative throughout the entire project. We LOVE our results. I highly recommend them.

Horrible communication and very rude to his customers. Poor quality work. Just look at the MULTIPLE reviews saying the same. Instead of accepting criticism or trying to work with his customers, he immediately becomes defensive and points blame to his customers. Extremely unprofessional. Trying to get information on your project is near impossible with no replies from the owner. Oh by the way, you hit our BLACK mailbox not white. And your son tried using a black sharpie to fix it. It was also bent good maybe listen to all your bad reviews.

Richard response was quick to come look and bid on my yard. He was one of the few landscapers who was willing to share ideas and thoughts on what we could do with our back yard. Because of this we hired him last summer. I was pleased with the vision and some of work that is why the 2.5 stars if I could. BEWARE...though. I was rescheduled multiple times as he had to do other jobs. He was honest in telling me they were personal jobs that he did for others for trade for him, but if I am a paying customer it s not a good look. There were also many corners cut and a few jobs left half done. I asked them to level an area before spreading gravel. They just spread the gravel. After asking to have it releveled it wasn t. They buried a roof rain pipe drain without moving it. I also asked for this to be fixed, it wasn t. Overall the vision and initial promptness was very good. The follow through and work average.

It took over a month from when we signed the contract to when they showed up to get the project done (one week of that was my fault as I was out of town) so I was even more disappointed to see that the final invoice was higher than the quoted price. Felt nickeled and dimed when we were billed for less than an hour of extra labor. PRICES ARE HOURLY NOT BY PROJECT. Mine was a small three hour project. And that was billed at an hour longer then what was anticipated. I can only imagine what would happen on a large project. I signed the contract knowing it was hourly, I had just hoped they had the ability to quote a small project like that accurately. That was my mistake. We needed to get the landscaping done because we needed to adjust the grade in our yard so our window wells would stop flooding (it saved us on the four or five really wet days in April). We had bought a pump to keep the water out (we had the pump before the project was started, had hoped to be able to return it when the project was done but no return policy is long enough for how long the project took). Not only did we pay them more than what was quoted, we incurred more costs on the project because it took them so long. Overall, wouldn t recommend unless desperate.

Richard was phenomenal. Showed up on time with a large crew, and they worked so hard. What I thought was going to take 8 hours, was done in half a day. I had a lot of grading and leveling to do, and it was done perfectly. Richard and crew paid a lot of attention to detail. Ill never use another landscape contractor.

Richard was very responsive and proactive with our planning. He was professional and creative with our vision and followed through promptly. We appreciated his professionalism and his talented planning/work!

Bytendorp Enterprises Landscaping helped me with consulting on my landscape needs, grading my yard, and installing sod, curbing, gravel, and mulch. They were willing to work around a couple of obstacles in my yard and made ordering and installing materials seamless for me. They completed the work in a couple of days and I am very satisfied with the end result. I would use them again.

I needed landscaping in my backyard. I recieved 2 bids for about $1000. but went with Richards bid of $1500. because he seemed very professional. I just received my bill for $3300. The contract I signed said it could be more or less and I understand that, but to underbid for $1800. is ridiculous. He is either incompetent or dishonest to underbid so much. Also he did not install the the edging correctly and I had to fix it myself. Do not use him unless you have unlimited money and can fix the problems yourself.

Installed a cinderblock retaining wall along the property line in the back yard and did a great job on that project. Im very disappointed in the services rendered in my cleanup project. I would recommend second guessing their hourly rate estimates as a simple weeding project went from roughly $400 on the bid to $900 on the invoice. For perspective, The wall cost just under $3,000 and took a week to complete, then was charged $900 for 2 kids to weed for half a day. I would have appreciated the advance notice that portion would be double the estimate.

Richard was extremely professional, communicative and great to work with. He transformed our entire front yard quickly, and at a reasonable price. Highly recommended!

Richard and his team were able to use a couple pictures and my vison to create a unique dry creek with waterfalls. They checked in with me to made sure that they were going in the right direction through out the process. They were on time and handled some hicupps like professionals.

Since we received Richards name from our neighbor, we wanted to be your virtual neighbor! We had Richard pour a back patio for us and plant a tree. His prices were very fair, and he went the extra mile to make sure we were well taken care of. He was very easy to get hold of and very responsive to meeting with us before and after our work day.

To preface this I generally do not leave reviews but our experience has been so frustrating I have decided not to wait until the job is complete to leave a review because at this point I dont feel confident that the job will be complete before winter. We signed the contract in May and the job was supposed to start around June 7th. Because of rainy-weather it was pushed to June 21st. Which we understood. Then, for no particular clear reason, the actual job didnt start until July 21st. Richards first crew was a joke. The guy didnt show up until 10am during 100 degree weather, and he only worked until 1pm. He had no idea what he was supposed to be doing so he literally just pushed dirt around for a week until thanks to my husband, had some clarification as what the job was. Richards communication has been horrible. I am confident that nothing would be done thus far had it not for my husband being on him daily to get things done. We were delayed even further when Richards rock crew was tied up with other jobs. Again, thanks to my husband he pushed Richard to find another rock crew to send over. The rock guy showed up a few days late, laid 3 feet of rock and then nothing for a few more days when finally someone else came and finished the wall (almost finished the wall because there are still unused rocks just sitting). Now our back yard lays quiet with no fence, ditches for sprinkler system dug up, pipe just laying everywhere and nothing has happened for 2 more days. Fence posts were supposed to go up yesterday and no one showed up or called. We are now basically to September and the fence, sprinkler system , sod, Landscaping has not been completed. Initially Richard told us the job shouldnt be more than a few weeks. We have been very patient only asking that he communicate what is happening and that has not happened. I finally thought we were getting somewhere last week when one of his crew knocked on the door saying he had to leave for another job. They have clearly bitten off more than they can chew and have treated our job like it is less than and not important. Richard is quick to push blame on to other people when he doesnt communicate. We put off any trips this summer, any backyard bbqs and other to do items on our list to get this done. There has been equipment here sitting at the house unused for weeks at a time. Our experience to this point has been a series of let downs and extreme frustration. All that we asked for in the beginning was for Richard to communicate with us so that we knew what was going on. That has yet to happen.

Extremely professional and did a great job. I am so pleased with how well my yard looked afterwards. I would highly recommend for anyone who wants a job well done at a fair price.

I cant speak to the quality of their work. However, when looking for a bid on a new flagstone patio I found the Bytendorp was more professional and persistent than any other landscaper I contacted.
