1840 Lawn Care in South Croydon

When he started working on my lawn at the end of 2022 it was in such bad condition I thought I would have to take it up and lay new turf. Mike advised this was not necessary and through a series of his treatments my lawn now looks better than it has ever done. I had a new lawn laid last year, determined for once in my life to have the quintessential English lawn (after the passing of our grass-wrecking dogs). Mine is a difficult site for grass, with overhanging trees at its north-facing end, and grass has always been patchy. Now I have a splendid, lush green lawn with barely a weed (and certainly no moss or clover). This is down to Mike knowledge, potions and tools. You might also be surprised what good value all-year maintenance actually is. Worth every penny when I can mow stripes into it!

So please I found Mike (1840 Lawn Care). A total pro! He completely rejuvenated our lawn, scarified, treated, levelled and reseeded our lawn. Gave us great advice on watering and looking after the lawn and within 4-6 weeks we our lawn was back to its best. Mike is always on hand to answer questions and is very clear on what, when and how he will treat the lawn. Great value and easy payment options....Five stars!!!!

Our lawn had lots of moss and patches with weeds, so after researching on-line decided on 1840 as its an independent lawn care company. Mike Taylor visited the property in Feb 2022, measured up and gave me a program and cost for the full year, which was very competitive. One year after the change is striking. Mike did the aerating, seeding, treatment for moss, fertiliser twice and autumn scarifying. Mike is passionate about what he does and a real pro.

So impressed with the service from Mike at 1840 Lawn Care. I had tried to salvage my front lawn myself but after digging for the best part of a wet Saturday I realised it was far too much work. Called in Mike and he quickly reassured me how he would tackle it. He spent time going over the area with the correct machinery (paying attention to underground cables that couldn't be damaged) and laid our new turf. His advice was perfect and after following his watering routine, I was able to carry out my first cut in 2 weeks. The lawn has turned out way better than I had hoped and has received so many compliments from passers by. Mike really does know his stuff and his superb work ethic shows and the results speak for themselves in the pictures.
