Fuerbringer Landscaping & Design in South Bend

Our builder contracted this company to install our yard. We were given exactly zero direction has how to care for and grow our new yard. Whether that is the fault of the builder relaying information or a lack of Information from the lndscape company, I don’t know. But what I do know is the following… After repeated attempts to get information from our builder I was told they would speak to Dan and get back to me. After some time passed I asked our builder again if they heard back from Dan and I was told Dan would be giving me a call. During my call with Dan he never once explained to me what I should be doing to care for a newly seeded yard. In the meantime I contacted a lawn care service to care for my lawn needs. Dan asked me to give him feedback on what they said. Once I gave Dan feedback he immediately called me. Upon answering the phone he was belligerent and yelling at me telling me that every issue was lack of care. I think the real problem was lack of communication between Dan and the builder or Dan and myself to provide the knowledge and insight required to get a new yard started and growing healthily from seed. Dan wants to blame me, the lawn care services we use or someone else for “overwatering” and “lack of care” as he put it, but I think this whole situation would have been resolved if we had been given some sort of direction by dan directly or through the builder. The real issue is lack communication and professionalism. I have never dealt with a company where the owner called me directly and s soon as I said “hello” on the phone I was getting yelled at and belittled. This is a poor way to do business and gain future business.

A great job and very professional. Dan Fuerbinger’s crew were efficient and hard working. They removed overgrown shrubs and replaced with beautifuly updated landscaping. They also removed an old deck and built a great looking flagstone paver patio. Highly recommended and I look forward to hiring them again in the future.

Fair pricing, very prompt. Called in morning to get a quote for clean fill dirt and delivery charge price was very reasonable so ordered 5 yards was told they would have at our house by 3 pm they were right on time. Very happy with service. Highly recommend them.

I have contacted 6 landscaping companies to replace some bushes and rock in the front of my house. This is the only company that was polite and professional and the only one that has responded with a quote. I am pleased with the proposed work and the quoted amount. The office manager was also honest about the wait time for the work to be done. I will update my review when the work is completed, but so far I am very pleased with Fuerbringer Landscaping.

I had an appointment scheduled almost a week in advance. After waiting 20 minutes after the appointment time, calling the company several times with no answer, I get a phone call saying the designer can’t make our appointment. After rescheduling, I received an extremely unprofessional voicemail stating they had to cancel my second scheduled appointment. Seems reasonable as a business to cancel appointments when something comes up, but to cancel not once, but twice before meeting with me? I have made my decision to go with another company. I will make sure to send any future referrals elsewhere. ***There was initially no mention of anyone getting in an accident or what had caused the delay (not that they needed to) all that was said was “Jamie (the designer) got behind”. PLEASE NOTE: A 1 star review was given due to the cancelled appointments ( yes, that’s 2 appointments cancelled) and the rude unprofessional secretary. What’s appalling is that this company continues to call my cellphone, several times, and harass me. I’m not interested in doing business with you. Please stop calling and leaving verbally abusive and threatening voicemails. Thank you.

Absolutely the best landscaping company I’ve worked with ever! Dan and his entire Team did magnificent work on our new home’s retaining wall as well as all the landscaping (trees, shrubs, bushes, etc.) they planted for us. A late in season last minute decision to have Dan put in sod vs hydroseeding was a great move for us. Excellent quality sod. Dan is certainly an expert and every person working for his company was professional and courteous. I can’t say enough good things about Dan his employees and the high quality work done for us. Thank you Dan!

I’ve had Dan’s team complete two large projects for me. The design team was very helpful. The beautiful workmanship and robust structural outcomes have been superb. The workers on site were courteous and kept our residency clean during the project completion. I recommend Fuerbringer without reservation.

Jamie, landscape designer, and Fuerbringer's landscape team did a good job in adding pine trees and focus plants for a backyard screen. The bed needed quite a bit of work to get the grade correct and prepared for the new plants and the crew did a good job. The design process was fast and communication was good while we worked through the options. Any questions asked of the crew while working were handled well. The quote was fair and the quality of the pines Jamie selected was excellent.
