Gibbs did a clean out and refresh of our property. They were on time and completed the job just as discussed. The communication was excellent and the results are exactly what we were hoping for.

The entire experience was a major project for us. We had been planning for years to really change the landscape of the backyard. Greg, Jose and their team are such a pleasure to work with. Very considerate, skilled and extremely professional. The work was started and finished exactly as proposed. They evened worked on rainy days(but not in the rain) to stay on schedule. I came to Gibbs with a desire to re-work my yard and hardscape. The grass in the back yard did not have adequate light and was mostly dead. I also had drainage problems resulting in soft, muddy ground. I also wasnt happy with the landscaping I inherited when I bought my home. I met Greg Whitfield, landscape architect, who listened to my hopes and dreams for my yard. He was professional, knowledgeable, and realistic. He came up with a plan to solve the challenges of my yard. The presentation included a drawing with all the plants and trees identified. He also provided pictures so I could see what they looked like in real life. He listened to what I liked and took note of what I was unsure about. When I asked for changes, he was agreeable. He was also firm in his opinions and free with explanations when he felt his choice was in the best interest of the project. I appreciated and trusted him. Greg was in contact with me about the start date and kept me informed when weather delayed the project. Jose Bustos was the installation field manager. He and his crew were the best. They showed up, worked hard and kept things neat. Jose was great to communicate with and made sure things were done right. He knew what was going on and when it was going to be done. My project turned out better than I imagined. It is beautiful, it is well planned and practical and it is healthy and growing. It brings me joy each day. It was a pleasure to work with Greg, Jose and his crew, and the subcontractors they suggested. I highly recommend them all.

Nathan Kloos, our front and backyard designer, was professional, knowledgeable and responsive. Our project was staged in two parts. The front yard and drainage for the back yard was done in the fall. We finished the backyard in the spring, which included lifting and leveling our backyard by 30 inches with a retaining wall, along with a fire pit area install. Nathan answered all calls almost immediately and actively listened to any of my concerns. Most importantly, he acted on those questions too! His knowlegde truy made this process very easy. The crew that Nathan used for my yard was also incredible. They were polite, skilled, and quite honestly, they were artists too! I brought Gibbs in for the 2nd phase of a landscaping job in my back yard. I did not call them the first time because I had heard that they were expensive. However after a mediocre experience with the first landscape company I was anxious to find a better experience. What I found was not only was their price competitive but the service and quality was top shelf. For example, the first company presented their estimate on a hand written piece of paper and then pressured me for a signature. Gibbs presented a full color CAD drawing that showed the exact name and location of each plant, shrub and flower. Additionally after the install I realized that I may need additional privacy shrubs Gibbs sent out a design guy that readily agreed and also suggested that we relocate and adjust the spacing of the shrubs they already planted. I was surprised when I got the bill because they only charged me for the additional shrubs and relocated the other ones for free. I was extremely satisfied with the experience and would not waste my time with other landscape companies when my next project comes up.

Gibbs crew were fantastic! Jose and Rey worked and cleaned up my garden for 3 days. My garden now looks amazing. Thank you Peter for helping me every step of the way.

Nathan is very diligent with vision. We converted a nothing backyard into a large beautiful property. Crew is very professional and patient.

Gibbs did work on our yard but a few items did not bloom. We were told to give it a season or now two. Several emails and calls with none returned. Thought we hired one of the best, but follow up/follow through after the sale has been horrible. Two dead bushes and the no wall of ivy wall . These are but a few examples of what did not work. Think Ill add more soon. Update: Gibbs has reached out and is looking to help here. Will update review post that engagement. Update 2: Peter came out from Gibbs today and reviews and addressed our concerns. Gibbs really leaned in and was very apologetic that this ask fell through the cracks. I cannot say enough good things on how much better we feel served now. Great job Peter at making things right.

A considerable time after I posted the below review, Gibbs responded online providing a contact and number. Two weeks ago I called that individual and left a message. I never got a call back. Ive given up. ______________________________________________________________ In general, Gibbs does great work. However, in my situation, I am extremely disappointed in the poor customer service I received. My HOA requires that homeowners use Gibbs for any new plantings or landscape changes. In 2022, I therefore used them for a second time on a very small job that involved removing some small shrubs and planting a number of new ones. Winter was harsh on vegetation so all of them looked dead this Spring. Some show signs of coming back. But I contacted Gibbs to see if they would replace any that were dead or close to it. Despite calling numerous times and leaving messages, no one from Gibbs ever returned my calls. Even if they did not feel like they should replace the plants or thought in a couple of years they would grow back, basic respect and minimal customer service would have been to at least return my calls instead of ignoring me.

We are so pleased with our backyard makeover! Jesse Allen, our landscape architect, listened to our dream and created a design that brought it to life. We had a small backyard, but youd never believe it now! Jesse created a way for us to have everything we wanted--a deck, a fire table, a generous pavilion with an outdoor kitchen, and a beautiful in-ground pool. Jesse acted as our project manager throughout the process. When some of our wants exceeded Gibbs expertise, Jesse found excellent professionals for us to fill in the gaps. Jesse was so friendly and easy to work with, but above all, he made our dream happen. We couldnt be happier with the final result.

We have been new clients since late Spring. My husband and I are very pleased with the Gibbs maintenance crew and their upkeep of our large property. Our account manager has been most responsive and crew leader has done a great job attending to our needs. We had a large gathering outside over the Labor Day weekend and the grounds looked fantastic. Many guests commented on the outside areas. We had another gathering this weekend and everything looked great.

My wife and I are beyond pleased with our remodeled backyard. Michael Gregorys, our landscape architect, design exceeded our expectations and we couldnt be happier with the result. Our backyard is quite small, but Michaels design freed up so much space so it now feels much larger and more open. The crew that Gibbs utilized was beyond quick, efficient, and respectful. Very professional! Requested a quote and within 3 days a VP walked our property and We shared our needs. Within the next week, we met with Landscape Account Mgr for more detailed discussions and the next week we had a 3-member maintenance team on site who did an incredible job. We also had a professional pruning team which did a beautifully professional job! And, we had lawn professionals apply fungicide. All of this work within 3 weeks of hiring Gibbs. We have used multiple services and Gibbs is by far the most talented and responsive. Well worth the monthly maintenance fee. We will be hiring Gibbs to complete several landscaping projects in the fall. We are very pleased!!!

Gibbs landscaping has done two major hardscape and landscape projects for me at two different properties. i have been thrilled with the outcomes. They really improved the appearance of my houses and actually contributed to the sale of my first one. The designs were elegant, the plants of very high quality, and the installation very professional. Neighbors who saw the work in progress were blown away!

Ive used Gibbs for landscape design and maintenance since 2017. They did design work for my house in Brookhaven and again in Milton when we moved. They are able to work wonders and we are considered to have the nicest yard in the neighborhood.

Our project involved both hardscaping and new sod and landscaping. Jesse Allen was our designer and project manager and really did a great job incorporating what we wanted and needed with the end result having all the neighbors saying wow ! He was able to work in drainage solutions that addressed the erosion issues and was even able to incorporate existing plantings into the plan. Jesse kept us informed of everything during the install and was able to answer our questions regarding the plants, maintenance, etc. I highly recommend Jesse and the team at Gibbs!

A neighbor used Gibbs for a landscape renovation and was thrilled with the results. After viewing her installation, I scheduled a meeting with the Gibbs landscape architect that created her design, Nathan Kloos. We wanted to renovate our back yard pool area, and the space limitations in some areas are challenging. I had asked countless landscapers for suggestions and Nathan came up with new and very creative ideas for these problem areas. Nathan found places in the new design for many existing plants, which definitely helped with the budget. Weve now completed the renovation of most of our property in four phases, and we are extremely pleased with the results. We have something in bloom somewhere in the yard year-round, which we love. Even some utilitarian areas are now attractive and neat. Our HOA also hired Nathan/Gibbs to design and install two common areas for our subdivision. Nathan kept the designs simple and low-maintenance, yet interesting and pretty. Ive highly recommended Gibbs and Nathan to friends that are just as pleased with their results as I am with mine. We love our new yard!

Gibbs did a fantastic job on our yard and driveway. We had a long list of needs and wants that we knew was going to have to be done in phases. Our designer, Jesse, was fantastic at helping us look at what was most important to do first and how much we could accomplish with our initial budget. He not only really listened to what we wanted...he cared! He came up with a design that solved some big issues with water run-off and erosion, extending our driveway, and screening off an unsightly rental property next door. The contract we signed outlined all of the work being done so we knew exactly what we were paying for. Gibbs worked with us all through COVID and supply chain issues. We ended much needed extra parking space, a beautiful (huge!) retaining wall with extra level outdoor living space and beautiful plants, including a living screen to block the view of the neighbors. With the variety of mini-projects that made up the whole, we needed several different crews, but Gibbs (and Jesse) handled all of the scheduling. He was always prompt and very reponsive to my calls and emails throughout the project. He was very patient when we threw in a few extra requests along the way. And we have the next stage of our project all laid out in the plan Jesse developed so well be able to continue our yard transformation in a year or two. I would definitely recommend Gibbs for the quality job they do and the wonderful customer service.

We worked directly with Jay, and he answered all of our questions! He was an expert in types of plants for every area (shade, sun, textures, colors, soil, etc...) and he helped us design a variety of areas by incorporating some of our favorite things as well as some new concepts that we never might have immagined. He has been fantastic to work with: VERY professional, ALWAYS follows through on what he says he is going to do in a timely manner, very easy to communicate with diligent about his work. William who is head of our maintenance has been incredibly responsive, courteous, and professional as well. From first contact, everyone I interacted with at Gibbs was responsive and professional. I hired them to perform many different tasks that required coordination with me as well as within their organization. They communicated their plans clearly and followed through with those plans on the scheduled dates. The design phase was detailed and working with their landscape designer was very easy. The landscape designer at Gibbs was always responsive, and the team of workers was professional. They transformed our backyard from a mud pit to a beautiful area with synthetic turf and different trees and flowering bushes. They accommodated several changes and additions in the middle of the project. They even finished a couple days ahead of schedule.

We had the privilege of working with Jesse Allen at Gibbs on a residential project. Our primary purpose was addressing a hefty drainage issue which had ruined part of our property over several years. Jesse and his team designed a drainage solution which works well (where others had failed) and is visually attractive. We further asked Jesse for a design which brought some life / color / attention to a dead-space backyard. Gibbs absolutely delivered; we have excellent outcomes in landscape design and plant / tree selection, attention to present and future irrigation, gorgeous stonework on a new patio space and a subtle but effective lighting plan. All of this with a a focus on important details, an attentive ear for listening to what we needed / wanted, useful (and cost-saving) insights on stuff we had not thought about, and remarkably little stress throughout project execution. The Gibbs crew was consistently on time, on schedule and considerate of any possible disruption to our neighbors. Gibbs was not our lowest-price alternative, but their reputation for on-time, on-budget delivery was confirmed. We would readily hire them again for comparable projects, and have comfortably recommended them to others.

After removing forty trees from our backyard, I began looking for a company that could tackle a huge landscape project. Once I met with Greg Whitfield and heard his vision, I knew I had found the person and the company I wanted. The Gibbs team planted a zoysia sod that is so stunningly beautiful that it looks like a putting green on a golf course. Yet, it is tough enough to survive a day of slip and slide with our grandchildren. I was amazed with the meticulous prep work that the crew did prior to planting the sod and the various plants and trees that Greg suggested. This was the most seamless, stress-free project I have ever experienced. Every person that worked for Gibbs was professional, courteous and hard working. After such a positive experience, I asked Greg to tackle our backyard patio that we rarely used because the brick flooring was mossy and slippery. Again, Greg had an amazing vision for this project. We now have an outdoor fireplace made from the bricks that came from the patio floor. The new floor is made of concrete pavers that complement the old brick retaining wall. He added a pathway with plants on either side as a lovely finishing touch. The crew was very talented and took so much pride in their work. Once our patio furniture arrive, I know where I will be spending most of my leisure time. Needless to say, I am one happy customer! Thank you, Greg Whitfield and Gibbs!

We used Gibbs and Greg Whitfield for a backyard update in November. This is our second time using them and they are outstanding! Gregs design addressed all of our needs (stone steps/paths, screening, drainage, etc.) and was beautiful! The crew was great - courteous, cleaned up each day, and extremely knowledgeable. The project was completed on time and on budget and we couldnt be happier with Greg and Gibbs work!

Called and left two voicemails and filled out an online inquiry for request of a quote for services. A neighbor recommended them but with no response I will be looking for a different company.

We redid the landscaping in our entire front yard. Nathan, the landscape designer, listened to my likes and dislikes and created a beautiful plan which we were able to agree on and start within weeks of the initial phone call. I appreciated Nathans knowledge of plants, attention to detail and quick response every time he was needed. Once started, the crew, led by Luis, was incredibly capable, knowledgeable and caring, prepping and grading perfectly, planting the way I would plant if I were doing it myself. I have very high standards and the crew met those standards every day. Every tree and shrub was planted exactly as Nathan said it would be (which has not been the case with other landscape companies I have dealt with.) Nathan came one or more times each working day to check on progress and to give guidance and he was never in a rush. He always answered any of my or Luis questions. At the end of each day, the crew cleaned up spotlessly, leaving the yard and driveway in great condition even though it was a work in progress. We had to remove 20 year old trees with tough, deep roots and they dug them all out, many by hand because they were so close to the foundation. We also added quite a bit of new sod. Again, I was very impressed with the care with which everything was graded, soil added and sod rolled and rolled to perfection. And this was all during the rainiest winter Ive ever seen in Atlanta. If there were questionable plants or any plants were not exactly what Nathan had tagged, they went back. We had to wait quite a while for boxwoods that were just right and we were unable to get the larger size of one of the foundation shrubs so that took an extra few weeks of waiting for plants but what ended up being planted is beautiful. The job took extra time because of the weather and waiting for shrubs, but it looks great. My home now looks fresh and new. I would definitely recommend Gibbs......you get what you pay for.....they did a fabulous job.

Over 10 years Gibbs performed at my home turnkey all landscape to perfection

We hired Gibbs to maintain our neighborhood since we have an HOA. They have not done a good job. They have been very inconsistent, and not held up their end of the contract. We are currently looking for a new company

OK service, but VERY expensive for what you get. Have to call occasionally to get them to take care of things being missed in the normal service.

Gibbs provides far above average landscape maintenance. It takes trained people with experience to properly prune landscape shrubbery and there is none better than Gibbs. I look forward to working with them again.

Not only will they not replace plants that die (ridiculous as most nurseries will do this for you for free) they also are not proactive and have many mini charges. Their choice of plants are uninspired and they don t live up to the terms of their contracts. Do NOT use them.

Gibbs Landscape highly over estimates their costs. All reviews regarding poor value are spot on. Quoting $12,000-$15,000 for a system that should cost $7,500-$10,000 is ridiculous. Luckily, formerly working for a landscape company has provided me the necessary insight to know their prices are outrageous. I feel bad for the irrational consumer.

I appreciate the owner Peter reaching your to me to help solve an issue I had with one of the Gibbs reps. In this case I have edited my review from a 1 stay to a 4. Thank you for doing the right thing Peter and for reaching out.

BUYER BEWARE! We use Gibbs for our condo landscaping. We pay $845/ month for irrigation maintenance, cutting grass ( small property in atlanta, smaller than most residential lawns) and flower installation ( which we pay an additional $1,000+ for twice a year). We are constantly having to follow up on delivery of services. Most recently, we had a sprinkler pooling ( which was not maintained by them even though it s part of our contracted services.) After back and forth regarding how to fix this problem, all over email, in person was not offered, We paid an additional $450 for the replacement. Three times I ve contacted them that it s not resolved and still pooling. Every time I was assured that it was fixed. The 4th time it was discovered that they installed the replacement valve on the wrong side ( left valve right as was authorized and discussed). Their response to correct their mistake? Since they did some work, we should turn off the irrigation for the remainder of the year until we can budget for it to be fixed next year. Poor communication, poor follow through on services and now not following work orders THEY CREATE. We are beyond disappointed and do not recommend Gibbs.

Heard the commercial on WSB radio and called them. Immediately advised via a recording they could not take the call and leave a message. We did. Two days later a representative called back and said, we require $8,000 a year in spend billed at $666 a month! The rep did not ask the size of our property- just the guarantee they needed. When my wife explained that was much more than we expected, the rep was very snide and chuckled, oh well...bye. I am sure the owners do not support this type of treatment of potential customers, but save me the typical comment of sorry you did not have a good experience, please call us We had a TERRIBLE experience. Very poor customer service.

They didnt get back to me with a quote for over 2 weeks and the salesman said 3 days. I told them I didnt want brown ugly river rock and thats what they quoted me. The salesman acted like he hated his job and was not interested in what I had to say, or show him, at all. Ill never do business with them. Fyi, chose another company, Ryan Meadows Landscaping, in Acworth. 10 stars. And I spent $17,000 on my project.

My experience with Gibbs has been great. I have beautiful grass and a good looking yard. Peter Copses and Simon Buckley are top notch. Very high quality personnel and work product. I highly recommend.

How about you stick to what you first said, and pay your fired employee. If youll screw your employees what will you do to your customers? I contacted Gibbs for help with my backyard. Tyler York called me, listened to my ideas, then looked at the plan I had drawn when we met. He and I were able to walk the yard and talk about possibilities. I felt like he listened to my ideas and incorporated them into the final plan along with his own great ideas and solutions to the problems I was facing. I really enjoyed working with Tyler. He was very responsive to my texts, emails, and phone calls. The Gibbs working crews were very professional and prompt, showing up to the job when they said they would. We did encounter a problem with drainage after an exceptional deluge of rain. Tyler and the work crew quickly came up with solutions and were prompt about the fix. I loved working with Gibbs and would definitely use them again.

I highly recommend Gibbs Landscape Company with whom we have worked on two huge landscape projects, the second of which was the complete overhaul of our backyard this May (2019). Gibbs excavated an unwieldy space which had a 4-foot tall, tricky-to-mow hump extending half the length of the property, flattening the lower side of the hump into pristine, grassy play space and building a beautiful, 2.5 ft sittable, serpentine wall the length of the property, behind which sits a gorgeous layout of varied plantings. Gibbs highly creative landscape architect Nathan Kloos designed the project, tying it into his original plan for the front yard which was executed 2 years prior. Careful attention was given to elevation, drainage, soil and plant types, sun and shade, etc. in order to produce a functional as well as beautiful backyard. Nathan is a delight to work with; he is a good listener, grasping well our desires and dislikes. He shared his ideas upfront, spurring our imagination and broadening our thought process. The crews who worked on installation were equally as delightful. These extremely hard-working and highly skilled men clearly took pride in their work as they did everything with meticulous precision. Excavating the yard and setting grades, digging a ditch with pick axes for an underground drainage system, checking the wall with a level from block to block as it was built, having 5 men surround a large tree, each tweaking its position from his perspective until it was set just right are all examples of Gibbs personnel at work. These gracious men cleaned up thoroughly each day, even rinsing my dust laden home with our hose at the project s completion, negating the need for separate house washing. In addition, the plants that Gibbs provides are stunning far larger than ever dreamed of and in pristine health. Gibbs is not inexpensive; however, the quality of its designs, materials and workmanship is simply stellar. From beginning to end, Gibbs Landscape Company is a class act.

Had similar experience as previous reviewer. After first waiting a week to get a call-back, and then getting a mailbox full when returning the call, I eventually connected and was told that their minimum yard maintenance program would be $9000. In other words, they only maintain large properties.

I contacted Gibbs at the beginning of June because we were not happy with our current landscaper and Peter came over to give us a quote to take over the monthly maintenance and get the yard to looking beautiful again . He was very knowledgeable about the various horticultural plantings we shared some ideas on how to improve the overall look of the yard. We hired Gibbs Landscape Group immediately! Its been 1 months now and the crews are pleasant, respectful, hard working and come every week to maintain the yard. Our yard is finally back to the beautiful garden it used to be.

Terrible driving. Cutting people off on 85, crossing double solids in and out of an HOV lane without a single passenger. Very improper accident-prone behavior on companys behalf.

I tried to get a quote to fix my yard, move landscaping, and to build a retaining wall. They refused to even talking to me stating that they don t leave the house for less than $15K. Joke s on them. It s $50,000 worth of work I will be taking elsewhere. TERRIBLE customer service. Rude. Unprofessional. A ridiculous way to treat paying customers.

We have used Gibbs for about 5 years for weekly maintenance of our yard and are very pleased. The quality of their services is good, the price is fair and communication is excellent. They almost always see issues before I do and are very proactive.

My wife and I have been trying to find a good landscaping company in Smyrna to do some extensive work on our property since we moved here last year. Gibbs has a good reputation in town so we tried calling them. Every time we called, the operator says shell transfer our call to a sales rep. The transferred call always goes to a busy tone or to a voicemail that is full and cant take anymore messages. We were able to get through to leave a message once, but never heard back from a single person. I just got off the phone with the Gibbs operator again. She first transfers me to a busy tone. I call back. She puts me on hold for 5 minutes and then comes back with an uppity attitude to say that the sales rep is waiting for my call to transfer over. It transfers straight into his voicemail. This is horrific customer service. If Gibbs is only wanting corporate, city, or county contracts, then that is what they should advertise. There are too many landscapers in town for us to be wasting our time trying to get a hold of Gibbs. Were 100% taking our business and money else where. If youre a corporate, city, or county official needing work done, then good luck with Gibbs. Gibbs made it clear to us that residential isnt important enough for them.

I put in an online request to have my backyard done, and was finally contacted 5 days later .... only to be informed they have a $10,000 minimum job requirement. What? Who are they- 90 s supermodels ( we don t get out of bed for less than $10,000 !!) Why wasn t THAT listed on their website? Thanks for wasting my time!

Gibbs Landscaping is the best! They are large enough and professional enough to get any job done, and done well. I had grown tired and frustrated with my previous landscape company. I was micromanaging my yard service with poor results. I interviewed 3 companies and chose Gibbs. Peter Copses met with me and gave his personal guarantee I would be happy with their service. I am delighted! I dont worry about anything anymore. My yard looks great! They take care of everything and are great at communicating. I feel like a valued customer. You wont find a better landscape company to work with!

The Gibbs employees are very concerned about the customer experience. They are knowledgeable, uniformly polite, and responsive to customer requests. We are very happy with the large project they completed for us.

Very good gardening services company

I AM HIRING MY OWN GARDENER. When we met late summer, their representative was very impressive. My property was behind in maintenance, so we discussed what needed to be done for cleanup. They did an ok job(left trails of mess I had to remind them to clean up), and charged me over $2,000.00. The mow and blow did just that, no regular weeding or plant care(unless I instructed them to do so- not good when I was not there to tell them what to do) as promised in the contract. Then, when it came to having plants removed and replaced, I pleaded for over a month with my assigned property manager to make sure it would get done. No one from the contacted me. the assigned property manager explained it was the job of another department, and not his job. The person in that department, claimed they emailed me a planting proposal several weeks earlier, which NEVER showed up in my email until weeks later. It had gotten to the point I had told them I would be forced to terminate their services if not done. Meanwhile, plants in prominent places and in pots overgrew, turned brown, and some even died. It was a disgrace. I had to let Gibbs go. I gave them plenty of notice, waited, and did not receive the service or timely responses to my needs.

Ive been trying to reach them for a quote, but they never respond.

Their service was excellent and the workers are professional. They made my lawn look better than I could imagine, I highly recommend.

Gibbs Landscape is the best landscape company in Atlanta - I highly recommend you hire them for any significant landscape design project or regular maintenance for larger properties. Before I found Gibbs, I wasted several years and thousands of dollars on a project trying to create a natural barrier between my home and my neighbors to create privacy in our yard. Two other companies planted bushes that eventually died and were the wrong plants for what I needed and the area they were planted. Gibbs came out and surveyed the situation and made several recommendations that would solve my problem with fast growing bushes and also plants that would survive in the high sun location at the bottom of a hill that drained a lot of water into the area. The Holly bushes they selected were perfect and at a reasonable price for the size of the project. The crew that installed them ran into a number of issues with a fence, some old drainage pipes, a new french drain, a narrow entrance into the yard and some old tree roots and they did a fantastic job - they communicated with me as each issue happened and shared their solution and then executed it. I couldnt believe these were landscapers - they were so professional and communicated at a high level - I was very impressed. As promised they followed up with fertilizer injections the following year and the bushes are doing very well, growing fast and creating the privacy I wanted. I felt like Gibbs wasnt a bunch of guys with shovels but a highly trained, truly professional organization with people that treated my yard like it was their yard. They are worth the slightly higher fees I paid and I will use them again for any other landscape design project and if you really care about your yard and really want something special you should hire Gibbs Landscape as well.
