Took 2 weeks to fix a lawnmower but they did tell me upfront, affordable prices, they were busy for a reason.

I dropped off my snowblower last week. They never called. i called numerous times , different times and days, voicemail would hang up. went in with my receipt , they seemed confused, i complained that they hadn't called or answered phone. Guy comes back saying it's fixed $130. I never approved a repair. He claimed they didn't have my number, he also said i mustve called during their lunch break. I checked that the blower worked and i paid for it. my receipt had my name and number on it. sure, felt like some shady stuff going on.
After waiting about 4 days for an estimate for repair on a sub $200 push mower, I thought the price was too high, so I went to pick up my lawn mower. Upon getting back, I see the gas tank is almost empty. When I took it there it was almost full. I'm not sure if they took the gas out, or if the gas magically disappeared. I decided to clean the carburetor myself, and when I drained the gas, I noticed it was blue. I didn't put blue fluid in my gas tank. Did they? Or did my lawn mower get attacked by Smurfs?
I was in the process of cutting my grass for the first time this season when my old power lawnmower conked out. I brought it to C&N expecting to have to wait a week or more to get it fixed. Two days later they called to say it was ready. They repaired it, cleaned it, tuned it up, sharpened it, and changed the oil, all for what I consider a very reasonable price, and now it runs like new. Great work and great customer service- I highly recommend this place! i
I will make my long drives from Lake County to Cook County to these amazing guys. Everyone of them know how to work and show respect towards a customer. Tony, Carlos and the guys do amazing work. I have purchased equipment here and have brought in my old equipment to get repaired. Prices are reasonable. I wish them the best with their business in years to come. Than you guys for great service.
We were recommended this by Sears. But since we live in city we tried going back to an old repair place we knew first. Which he just glanced at it, said it was dead motor and would give us $80.00 for it. My ma being a senior didn't wanna give up on her oldd lawn mower. So we did end up at C&N and Tony was very helpful and gave us the pros, con's and possible charge. He did warn us it was busy. But we just had hopes to getting it fixed. After waiting 2 weeks, and me calling for updates. I still am a happy customer that it was able to get fixed. Thank you for having Tony and his patience with my ma and me. Awesome work and would definitely would recommend. 💯
Have no fear, but high volume. 3 yr non- used ( bad gas/ ethanol/ H²O ABSORBTION) cleaned- tunes- rebuilt and:::: starts at soon as you turn the key in a milisecond! Good idle and sharpened blade no charge? Had to wait 1/2 week for air cleaner element { BACK ORDERED} ( FOR A 15 YR OLD MOWER!!! But- THEY BLEWOUTMOST OF DUST- from the old cleaner~ BEFORE DELIVERY!!!) AIRED TIRES & LUBED EVERYTHING THAT THEY COULD LUBE : N/C again! Ive got two push mowers and a power washer going there as soon as they call ( they prefer to go to work on the units ASAP but not store~$~ as other nearby places Park em for a week/ month : usally after promised) FINISHED MINE BEFORE PROMISED-- I WAS THE DAY LATE! WOW- ! PARTS- ENGINES- MOWERS- BLADE & AIR FILTERS OR PLUGS FOR MOST-- MINE TOOK A LITTLE LONGER BUT: THE GOT PART BEFORE SEARS/ CRAFTSMAN- WOULDNT! *THEY SOLD THE RIGHTS/THEIR NAME & COPYWRITE- TO ??? Exceeded expectations! Brought my snowblower here on my boss s recommendation when it wouldn t start. Thought I would be out of luck until at least tomorrow if they were going to get it working at all, but got a call in just a couple hours that it was fixed and they did a full tuneup. They even cleaned it off! It was covered in brick dust from brickwork we had done over the summer. Quick and a heck of a lot cheaper and easier than finding and buying a new snowblower in the middle of a snowstorm.

It is definitely difficult to find and get good customer service nowadays. Sad fact but a true one. I was in town for a few days taking care of family matters when it began to snow. Went for the good old snowblower but it did not start. Figuring it needed to be serviced I began to call at round. Most shops were asking $160+ to service it. I called C&N and spoke to Tony. Tony explained the cost of servicing, it would be under $100. He also added that If we needed it picked up/drop off they could do so for an extra charge. The machine was taken on Friday afternoon and would have been ready late Saturday but I was not available. We got the snowblower on Monday!!! They definitely have a loyal customer, my father, for all his equipment.
Tony and his team did a great job repairing my Toro snowblower in a quick and timely fashion! Quick turn around and reasonable repair cost compared to other shops! Highly recommend and Thanks Again!

Changed my five star to one. Snowblower not repaired correctly, and silly two month warranty is useless.
Tony fixed lawnwower that was overfilled by an idiot at my house. I would have done it, but he insisted on doing it. I took to Tony, and, luckily nothing more than a spark plug, which I had figured. Tony and his men are the greatest and very reasonable. I thank God for googling him!
Garbage place dont go. All the good reviews is from their friends and family. They will use the Christian family excuse for their lies. And watch out for the stupid 2 month warranty. It should be two month warranty for commercial equipment not residential.

Very professional and fast service
Brought an old gas generator of mine that has not been started or used in many years and was serviced with minor repairs. Runs great! Was told it could not be repaired at another repair shop. Highly recommend C&N Lawn Mower Repair shop!
Do not bring your equipment to this place. They will cut every corner they can to keep their cost down. For example, rather than simply replacing the $3.00 gasket for the bow on the carburetor they tried to use a non fuel safe silicone to hold the old one in. Things like this are completely inexcusable. I wanted to post a picture of the carburetor but cannot do it in a review. Please do yourself a favor and take your equipment elsewhere to be repaired if you want it done properly.
Absolutely great place to have repairs done. They repaired my snowblower the same day and the cost was very reasonable. They do sell all kinds of snow blowers and lawn mowers to If youre looking. Definitely a place I will use and suggest to others when needed.
Fast & reliable service, friendly too
I have used C&N three times, once to repair my generator, and twice for my pressure washers. These guys have superb service, affordable prices, and are friendly. Would HIGHLY recommend C&N for repairs!
I stopped over here after a high estimate and poor customer service elsewhere in Skokie. The shop keep asked what was wrong, and I explained my mower didnt start this year at the beginning of the season as it would normally, and could they take a look and tune it up. He took a few pulls of the string and started it up. Let it stop, start again. Stop, start, stop, start, all is well. The other place told me it would take 10 days, then on the 12th day when I went back to check the status quoted me $115 before takes. C & N didnt mess around, I didnt have to spend any money, and I didnt need to go without a mower any longer.
Best shop in the state. Have bought multiple items from them, and taken tons of items for repair there. They have the best prices, with fantastic customer service! I do a ton of research before buying any item, and these guys carry great products at the best price. Also their repair pricing is reasonable, with great customer service. I have personally recommended this place to many people, who have raved great thing about them after going there. If your looking to buy any type of new landscape equipment or looking to repair that machine that just won t start I highly recommend this place!
Better than expected - price and service !!!
Dropped off my mower, because it wouldnt hold a charge. A week later, no calls back. I call them, and they tell me they cant fix it because its a Black and Decker. Wasted a week of my time, as well as drop off and pickup time.
Nice people. They gave an estimate of fixing an edger for me. The estimate did take a couple extra days than I was told, which is why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars. But I would still bring business to them if needed for mower repairs.
Went in this morning to have my lawn mower blade sharpened, was told the guy was running late, no worries. I called at 10am to see if my blade was done! The nice guy said yes it was. I was a dollar short as the credit card is $10.00 or more for purchases, he said Ill take the $7.00 now that is what I call awesome customer service! Will be going back to purchase out equipment!
