Eric toured my yard pointing out the positive aspects of my trees, how they were responding to wounds they had suffered and listened to my expectations. His crew did a great job of trimming and removing unwanted limbs. They cleaned up afterwards and even removed tree trimmings I had gathered from my previous yard work. Once again Sound Tree Care did an excellent job! This is the third time I ve used them to cut back blackberry bushes from a slope in my backyard and trim hedges. The arborist gave us a good and fair estimate for thinning and taking deadwood out of 6 street trees-cherries. Great service from Dana in the office. The workers were prompt, thinned and limbed up trees, did a thorough clean up. I was unhappy with a few details such as a few sloppy heading cuts, and aesthetics of shaping trees but that wasn t part of our estimate. Yet I would recommend them for street tree pruning as they are on SDOT recommended list.

These guys are great. Showed up on time, and did all they said they were going to do. Pruned 2 large and 2 medium trees, 3 small bushes and cut down 3 diseased or damaged trees. I was watching them, (about a 4 or 5 man crew) from across the alley from my house on 8/05/24. They were taking down a large Cherry tree and were very well orchestrated and professional. I had been picking away at a small pine tree on my property and due to a bad back and knee it was going pretty slow. I ask them if they could lay the tree down for me and I could do the rest on the ground. They agreed, and I said Id give them a positive review. So here it is. I had all the lower limbs off and it was about 27 ft tall. 3 guys came over and put it right between 2 cars, not a scratch. Saved me risking climbing up on my camper, thank you very much. When I need some work done, Ill call Sound Tree they also did a meticulous job of clean up in the alley and property.

We got several quotes for our tree removal and not only was sound tree care the best they were also the most considerate and professional. They came out to evaluate the tree and did not rush to throw out a number. Zach took the time to talk through all of our options. They are experienced in working with the city of Seattle and the tree code and doing things right. I really appreciated the care that the whole crew took, and how they listened to our requests to save a log to be milled. I would highly recommend Sound Tree care of you are in need of any tree work or a proper arborist evaluation.

Great work on a very difficult (30 foot high) English Laurel Hedge, at a fair price. Having an ISA Certified Arborist was an added advantage on trimming various trees that others just hacked at in the past. Sound Tree Care professional assessment and subsequent trimming, not only looks good, but will aid to the health and well-being of my trees.

AJ and the crew did an awesome job trimming back our monster Laurel, as well as removed a few medium sized dead trees, pruned our maple, rhodedendron, and took care of a few other trees/shrubs for free while they were here. Showed up on time, made quick work out of the whole project and cleaned up beautifully. Everyone was friendly and professional. Would recommend 10/10 and plan to have them back in the future.

Absolutely atrocious customer service. I called in over a month ago to schedule a bid and specifically stated that this was a bid for several trees on a neighbors property that the rest of us neighbors would be paying for. It was finally scheduled at 1:30pm on Monday July 1st. Well 1:30pm came and went and no one showed so I reached out to ask if someone was still coming and was told he had already been to my home and left. I said he needs to see the trees to do a bid and was told he saw them and the bid was in progress. I was also told that he knocked over the course of 15 minutes, well too bad for them that I have cameras covering my entire property including my road and the man arrived at 1:15 pm, then left at 1:18pm with no phone call and no knock at the door. Finally this was just rescheduled for today July 22nd at 10:00am. Once again 10:00am comes and goes with no phone call and no knock so I reach out again with no response. A man named Zach arrived at 10:15pm, the only reason I knew was because my dogs barked, I went to the front door to check and told him so sorry I hadn t heard a knock or received a call, he said he had been there for quite some time, which was a bold lie, checked my cameras and he arrived at exactly 10:14:31AM and I opened the door at 10:15:03AM, so he had been there for exactly 32 seconds. No need to lie, just say you were late, simple as that. A phone call or text would have sufficed. So I let him know that we have to head on over to the neighbors since the last guy who came out never saw the trees. He got an attitude and told me I should have said that when I booked the appointment. I told him that was exactly what I had done, I had specifically called and said this was a bid for my neighbors trees. At this point I d had enough and told him I wouldn t be doing business with them. He laughed and mumbled something snarky under his breathe. A simple phone call, text and/or apology accepting responsibility for your mistakes goes a long way with potential customers. I would never use this company due to their poor business ethics and lack of morals. I m sure I ll receive a nasty note back from this company just like the other negative reviewers received.

BUYER BEWARE. First, waited weeks for a response to initial request for an estimate. Second, we accepted the price quote they rescinded estimate and declined to do work. Perhaps because we asked for a certificate of insurance? A standard request for any service for performed on ones property. If they declined for this reason, then this is not a legitimate company, with proper licensing and liability protection for the consumer.

Sound Tree Care recently completed work on the trees in our yard and we couldn t be happier with the results! This is the 2nd time Sound Tree Care has done work on our trees, in particular 3 large Leland Cypresses in our small backyard. When it comes to work on our home or yard, we are pretty picky customers and this company is the absolute best one that has ever done work for us! Very easy to work with from scheduling a quote to the finished job, very timely with communication, punctual with arrival & Jon start, and VERY professional arborist and crew! They were very careful of our neighbor s trees and plants as well as other plants in our yard. Cleaned everything up! Trees look amazing! Highly recommend this company. It is really hard these days to get truly quality work done and Sound Tree Care does it!

Requested a quote using their online contact form for two projects. Its been over a week and no one ever contacted me back. Guess their online form requesting quotes is a waste of time.

The crew arrived on time. They did an excellent job on our cherry tree and checked in with us a few times to be sure the tree looked the way we had hoped. The end result is spectacular. I recently contracted Sound Tree Care to remove one tree and trim another. Unfortunately, it was not a great experience. First they rescheduled at the last minute due to a mechanical issue with their chipper. That part was understandable. However, when they actually showed up, they didnt finish the job. They also left my back gate open (and my dog got loose) and also left their some gear behind in my backyard (ropes/harness). I contacted them via to let them know I wasnt happy. Crickets.... They then showed up unannounced on another day to finish the job. Summary: the job eventually got done: B. Communication was non-existent. F. = 2 stars.

I don t understand why Eric visited and gave an estimate if no one care to answer or return the phone call. UPDATE after their reply on the original review No, we did not request contract modification at all. The estimate was fair so we wanted let them to cut our trees that was why we had tried contact them many times. Also the estimate was not clear to us and it was written differently than what Eric told us. It supposed to be given individual trees so that we could check or uncheck boxes to see the prices depend on the numbers of trees. Therefore, we needed to ask about it but no response no communication from them. They might misunderstand but they still should have responded no matter what as a business. We left messages on the phone and sent email that were both on the business card but no answer or reply so called multiple numbers we found on their website assuming they were business numbers. No one gave us personal number if it s not business related. Finally, got a phone call right after the original review posted that was too late for us. They might have done a good job if they communicate. I m sure it s not violating to write the google review even though we could not be their customer because they did not let us to be. Very disappointed.

I contacted Sound Tree Care the other day, and received the best customer service Ive experienced in a long while. They didnt push any unnecessary services on me, and truly seem to know what theyre doing--and even admit they dont know it all (a sign of trustworthiness). Will definitely come to them again with future tree needs.

Eric responded quickly, and after assessing the situation, he and his crew worked tirelessly to remove the tree from our house and yard. Nothing could stop these guys! They worked in the wind, hail, and sideways rain. They were able to safely remove the tree, tarp our roof, and prevent further damage to our home. Were so happy that we found Sound Tree Care because they brought us tremendous peace of mind after a very frightening experience. Absolute best you could ask for in the Seattle area. We searched high and low for professionals who knew how to properly cut and trim trees. It seemed like either they charged double what felt reasonable or they were just wanting to come in and cut everything down. Eric and the team came in with a full crew and meticulously planned what to cut and did an amazing job. We have some huge trees (10+) that had been neglected for many years and we were worried about their safety, they are looking amazing now and we know they won t fall over in some wind. So glad we found them! Their price is extremely competitive and yet clearly know their stuff. We will be using them for all trees in the future.

We contacted a few companies for a quote to remove a large tree in the backyard. Eric s bid was in the middle of the pack, but their communication was by far the best. Eric took the time to understand what we wanted to do with the branches and wood chips and during the job made sure to put them aside for us to use for landscaping. We live up quite an incline and they were able to get all the tree rounds and scraps out without damaging anything which is very impressive. They even helped move aside some carved pumpkins that we forgot to. One of the most important aspects is Dana never submitted an invoice to me until everything was hauled away. The crew that came out was also super respectful, and it was very interesting to see them work through the tree. i ll definitely contact them again for any future work.

Sound Tree Care removed a ton of overgrown blackberry and ivy from the back of our property. It looked awful before and now its tidy and well-maintained. From start to finish Sound Tree Care has been fantastic to work with and we are beyond thrilled with them. They were timely, responsive, and detailed in their communications, the walk through of the project, and the actual work provided. Their pricing is transparent and reasonable and their system for quote review and acceptance, as well as scheduling and payment were incredibly easy to use and helped streamline the process. I d been trying to get someone to remove several large Quince and Forsythia but couldn t get anyone to respond. I got these guys on the phone first try. I sent them pictures of what I needed and got an estimate a short time later. They were even able to take care of it same day. They came, they sawed, they chipped, they swept up and answered some other questions we had. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Eric was very professional and talked me through what the tree needed and how he would go about having it pruned. He gave me a realistic timeline of when that might happen, as well. The pruning was done efficiently and the team cleaned up the yard well at the end. I was very happy with the service!

These guys are an awesome team, did great work, arrived on team as scheduled, arranged with PSE to have our power lines taken down and come back the same day, so the trees could be removed, they came back for clean up, very personable and easy to work with. They took down two HUGE trees right next to my house in my front yard, my yard is super small, postage stamp size small, they dropped each chunk if tree perfectly in the lawn. I have given them several referrals to people just walking by our house who asked what company took our trees down, I would hire them without question for any tree removal in the future

Cant say enough about Eric Ledford. He responded right away on one of the hottest Sundays weve experienced in a long time. He had intended to take the day off, but called anyway since he lived in the neighborhood. He came and gave an opinion on my ancient cherry tree when a large branch had crashed down. The branch was about a third of the tree! He was able to remove the branch and cleaned up both my and mine neighbors yards. Reasonable price and dependable. Will definitely call again.

We have used them to service all the trees on our office property. I have also used them to remove the canopy of a large unruly tree at my house. They did a really good job on the office trees. They trimmed them to maintain health and shape. On the tree at my house they let me tell them what I needed done and did exactly what I requested. They are pretty busy but they will fit you in and they do good work.
