We are based in Scotch Plains, NJ and have been a fixture in the tri-county area since 1978. Caffrey Tree & Landscape offers a complete line of tree and plant healthcare services, including all phases of fertilization, pruning and removals. We also provide turn-key landscape design and construction. We work closely with our clients and landscape architects to create and implement both hard and softs landscapes to be enjoyed for many years to come. I cannot say enough about the wonderful experience with Caffrey tree for a recent job in Mountainside. I would give them 12 stars if I could! Bob and Lisa were incredibly responsive to my requests, scheduled our work quickly with outstanding communication. The tree pruning was done exactly as I wanted and that was due in a large part to Eduardo and Edwin! Eduardo is just an amazing professional and went way above and beyond expectation to make sure the job was done the way I wanted. I cannot possibly make a stronger recommendation than to use Caffrey Tree for all of your landscaping needs. I know I will!
Had a really great experience with Caffrey. Needed help removing a tree that grew sideways and was in danger of taking out our fence. Bobby came out and talked us through everything. We also opted to have them help remove the dead parts of our large oak and trim back everything that was touching the house. The price was fair and they came in a couple of weeks. The four guys who arrived to do the work were very respectful of the property and got it all done in about 7 hours. They cleaned up all the debris and really made everything look great. Our fence is saved! And in the heat wave we’re in it was even more impressive. Highly recommended. Would use them again whenever needed.
Horrible!! If you’re looking to get firewood at this place look elsewhere. Bought a cord 600 pieces. They don’t help you load. I called to find out why this is and have gotten no response. Next time I will go to Ponzios down the street.

I am extremely happy with the service and value I received from Caffrey Tree & Landscape. The owner Bobby was very professional, friendly & I felt comfortable working with him. I received my written quote & confirmation call when promised and the crew arrived at the appointed time. They removed 4 trees, ground the stumps, cleaned up beautifully and were careful not to harm existing shrubbery. I am so pleased that I am having them do landscape work next!!
A great local company run by great people who care about the quality of their work and customer satisfaction. We’ve hired Caffrey Tree & Landscape multiple times for a variety of services: cutting down trees, stump grinding small and large fallen trees, trimming trees and removing broken limbs, and most recently to plant several large evergreen trees. Every step of the way was a positive experience for us – responsive and polite front office calls and email exchanges with Lisa, an effortless estimation process with Bobby, and Bob who ensured nothing but our complete satisfaction. The workers arrive on time, do the work as planned, and clean up before they leave. My husband and I won’t hesitate to call on them for any of our future tree work.
Hard to find professionals these days. On time, quick work, reasonable about an add-on price-wise. Everything done as described and spotless cleanup. Its so unusual these days, got so excited almost jumped into the chipper myself.
Firewood is overpriced and the Karen that works there is rude. Go to Ponzios down the street for a better deal.

I echo all previous reviews. Crew knew what they were doing...fast, efficient. Cleaned up as if they were never there except for the giant hazard over my house that is now gone! Got 5 estimates and they were the best by far.

I had Caffrey Tree Service come out last week for a big job. They took down three very large, very tall oak trees, pruned about 5 other tall trees, chipped up a bunch of brush I had accumulated and ground down all the stumps left over plus a few that were there to begin with. I worked with Lou who gave me a very fair price and showed up at the project site both days. His team of workers were friendly and really worked their butts off. They used proper safety equipment and made sure that the falling limbs wouldnt damage any of my or my neighbors property. They even laid out sheets of plywood on the yard for the trucks to drive on so the tires wouldnt damage my lawn. Following the tree removal & grinding they used leaf blowers to clean up the area before they packed up and left. I can honestly say they were excellent and professional.
