Greencare Landscape Management in Scarborough

Just got woken up because these people are removing 1" of snow at 9am on a Sunday with leaf blowers. While leaf blowers may be common practice running one through a property with 200+ people on a Sunday morning is incredible rude.

We had a great experience working with Greencare! I have already told our neighbors about what a good experience we had. Greencare is very responsive and they move quickly. We used to have a yard that was like riding a roller coaster when moving the lawn, and we had inherited a dumping zone behind our garage that had years worth of overgrowth and old junk sitting back there. We also had some water drainage issues near our home which Greencare also helped with. We worked with Derek who not only does the assessment/quote of the property but also is hands on as well during the project. He paid attention to all the details and was great to work with. Greencare flattened our yard, installed hydro seed, and removed all of the weeds surrounding our property. They also got rid of all of the junk behind our garage as well and graded the area. I've attached some before/after pictures but I don't have many photos of what it looked like before. Our neighbors have all been saying now that "the grass is greener on the other side." We had the work done mid-September and I found that watering the lawn 3 times a day for ~20 minutes was what worked best. We would definitely reach out to Greencare again and would recommend them as well!

This was our first year with their mowing services, and they exceeded our expectations. They understood about not mowing too often during slow growth periods, mulched the clippings back into the lawn, and rotated the mowing patterns. These are all good for maintaining a healthy lawn without chemical fertilizers. We also like the use of electric vs. gas mowers for reducing noise and pollution.

I contracted Greencare Landscape to spread, level, rake loam that I had purchased and apply a hydroseed solution. We are now three weeks after the hydroseed application. The grass seedlings are coming in nicely. I have mowed once already (three inch cut). The crew had been nothing but responsive, professional and focused on providing me with a beautiful lawn. Edit: I mowed and cleaned leaves as directed right up until the first good freeze. Still was green. I was all cleaned up and ready to mow on April 1st but those two storms put a stop to that! Most of the new grass already looked quite nice. But the last storm pulled over a pine tree with some sod. I was impressed that the roots from the hydroseeded grass were very long. I cleaned up the tree and replaced what sod I could. The unaffected areas look great. The area where I had pilled snow (CAREFULLY!) took longer to come out of hibernation and needed some watering. Seems like it will be good to go by Memorial Day. Continue to be very pleased with the job.

I have had an exceptionally positive experience with the Greencare team. They have recently completed a total lawn renovation for me and I can't be happier. The entire team was professional and courteous. I was able to get an appointment for an estimate just a few days after I contacted them. A couple days after that Zack emailed me a quote for the work. I had a few questions and Zack got right back to me. I was put on the schedule and the team showed up on time. This is where things got a little interesting and Greencare shined. I honestly didn't know the quality of the loam in my yard. I thought things could get smoothed out and seeded. After talking with Brian, who runs the crew, we decided a little topsoil with compost would be helpful. I had 20 yards delivered from Dubois. Brian spread it without complaining. 70 more yards later and the lawn was prepped and ready for seeding. The thing is, spreading all that topsoil wasn't part of the contract. Brian and Zack didn't complain or run off to the next job. They stayed and did great work. Of course the extra effort isn't free, but many companies won't take the time to do the job that's in front of them right, because they have to get to the next one. Greencare didn't abandon me. I did have a small concern I wanted addressed prior to hydroseeding. Again, Zack got right back to me and due to my proximity to the shop I was able to meet with both Brian and Zack to talk about it. Brian's team came back for a bit and they hydroseeded after. Dominic and Brandon where two of the guys doing the work with Brian. Both of them were professional, friendly and hardworking. Obviously the entire team is detail oriented. This lawn renovation has been a big deal for me. The contractor who built my house did a terrible job. For two years I've been ashamed of my front yard. I needed a great company to come and do a complete makeover. I'm lucky to have had such great people to work with on this. I'm very glad I hired Greencare and I'm incredibly thankful for their work.

What a professional hydro-seeding company we worked with! Zack was great and will answer all your questions. We were able to grow a lush green lawn in the heat of summer. Greencare will guarantee your lawn if you have a sprinkler system. Only a few places needed touch ups. We were very pleased with how it came out! See the photo below!

GreenCare recently completed a patio at Parsons Memorial Library in Alfred. From the first time Sara came to listen to our vision for the future, until the day the crew completed the job -- it's been great working with the GC team. The best recommendation we can give is the fact we're planning more landscape improvements with GC. PML will celebrate our 120th birthday next year. We want the grounds of the library to be beautiful, resilient and accessible into the next century and beyond -- this patio was the first step. Nice job, GC! See you soon!

Do not spend your money on Hydroseeding unless you have city water! Or you know your well can handle 3-4 heavy waterings a day!! Especially in the summer. We just had $40,000 worth of yard reconstruction done with about 500 yards worth of loam to give us a huge beautiful lawn....BUT We've had a very dry hot summer and our 26,000 sq ft of lawn was just too much for the well to handle. It went dry after 2 full cycles of the 6 pedestal sprinklers! By the time we did get a good rain, the seed mixture had dried out then washed into rows and now we have about 50% or our lawn with no seed at all!! The crad grass is completely overtaking our yard and we are only able to water one cycle a day. Which is not enough!! Zack was great the service was great but the amount of watering was not emphasized enough and it should be strongly considered before spending the money!! The pics were taken on Aug.6th. The seeding was done June 30th. We were hoping to have mowed the lawn after 3 weeks. Do your research on your well capacity and Gallons per minute.
