Joseph was amazing to work with. He was able to design and bring to life our backyard. Communication, timelines and all phases of the project were done to a high professional level and the end result speaks for itself.
Amazing quality, communication and value! He designed what would look and work best for our new construction home. He went over and above on everything. No shortcuts, just does it right! We are so happy with how well everything went, from first contact with him coming out and reviewing the project, to communicating when procuring the trees (sending photos showing what he was buying for us), to letting us know the approximate time frame for start (and actually getting to us earlier than originally planned), to working EVERY DAY, ALL DAY on our project. In addition we had added some other parts to our project (adding additional rock wall, putting in a French drain, and changing out the side of the driveway for weed infested rocks to mulch and bushes) he was super fair with the pricing. This has been the absolute best part of our new construction home. I wish we could give 10 stars! You will not be disappointed if you select them on your project!

Joseph was phenomenal to work with. Our project was taken care of on schedule, with a very realistic timetable and communication throughout. Joseph was clear on any changes to our original mock-up and the yard gets praises from all who see it. Joseph is a very hard worker and takes pride in his work. He worked with us to get the project within our budget and was very flexible and willing to make changes as the project was underway. He was also very knowledgeable regarding the vegetation.
The only reason I gave Joseph Busman 5 stars is because I couldn’t give him more. He’s the best contractor I’ve ever worked with. First, his work is excellent and he has an eye for aesthetics to make it better than you imagined. No shortcuts with Joseph. His prices are fair, he is utterly dependable, honest, hardworking, and super nice person. First-class experience working with him.
Joseph is amazing! He’s a really hard worker and his work is high quality. He is honest and straight forward which we appreciated. He helped design our yard and provided a design sketch of the yard beforehand which gave us a good idea of what everything would look like. There were a few roadblocks he ran into after he started and he was vey good at communicating and getting our approval before making any changes. We paid him to help us build our gazebo and he was very easy to work worth and helpful. After the yard was complete he continued to come check on the plants and make sure our grass seed was growing okay. He’s attentive, dedicated, and persistent and we love our backyard! It’s beautiful.

Joseph came and walked our yard listening to what we wanted, his vision was so much more than we had imagined. His design added a paver patio with walkways. shrubbery, sprinklers and sod to our Backyard. We are extremely pleased with the final design and execution. All this for a fair price! Joseph came to our rescue Fall 2023. With skill and patience he created a walkway and patio with beautifully placed pavers. He prepared beds for trees and bushes which he then planted in the spring of 2024. We are so pleased with his work. Joseph is a quiet man who goes about his work with diligence. He has been very helpful in making certain the water system is working well throughout the planting beds. We highly recommend his services.
I am so happy with our landscape project! I had gotten multiple bids on my project and I felt like Joseph s was fair and matched the closest to my own estimates. He listened carefully to my ideas and concerns and asked very good questions. Although the weather played a role in delaying the project, Joseph put in a lot of solid work hours and still finished in a timeframe I felt was very reasonable. You can tell he s knowledgable, skillful, and creative about what he s doing. I m very impressed with his thoroughness and follow through. He made sure everything was working multiple times before leaving the project and took the time to go over everything with me. Love the new yard, went above and beyond with checking in on how the yard progressed throughout the season. Came by after work was done to adjust the water. Answered all questions and was very knowledgeable about the plants and maintenance of them.

Joseph was awesome!! He had a great price, was very professional, communicated when he would be here and he was always on time. He answered all our questions and finished the job faster than he told us. He even gave us a check when he was finished because some of the plants he got for us were smaller so they costed less. He is very honest. He is very knowledgeable and had great ideas to make our yard as affordable as possible. Our back yard looks beautiful and is exactly what we wanted. We will definitely recommend him to all our friends and neighbors, we were very happy with the way everything turned out. There aren t many people like him anymore.
Excellent work. friendly. He did our landscaping and sprinklers then took the time to show us all about them, how to winterize and so on. He answered questions that we had and took the time to make sure that we understood our new system. We adjusted our plans while he was working and he didn t get irritated or upset. It may be both rare and cliché to say that my review wont do Bushman Landscaping justice, but its true. Joseph did everything right from the time we asked him to come out for a bid, to setting expectations, to meeting those expectations, to finishing and turning in the work. Based on the work Joseph did single-handedly on our 0.4 acre back yard I can honestly say that he is hard working, punctual, detail oriented, efficient, and an effective communicator. No up-selling or excuses. If theres a supply limitation youll know about it promptly. If you have feedback, hell listen and work with you. Dont wait to get on his schedule. He books quickly, and for good reason!
I was very excited to get a quote for a large xeriscape project I am trying to get done. He came out on July 10th and took care of measuring and appeared extremely professional. Afterward he got my email and promised to send a quote by email very soon. I began texted him on the 16th wondering about my quote, no response. I waited until the 21st to call and text again, still no answer or response. On the 22nd I called and texted yet again, he finally responded with I havent had time yet. Sorry Im too busy to get you a bid. So after waiting over 2 weeks he has decided to not do anything at all for me as I patiently awaited his bid. This is terrible service and value of customers.
Joseph came and added bark, shrubbery, curbing, sprinklers and sod to our backyard, as well as a circle of pavers for a fire pit area. We are super pleased with the result and happy with the total price.

The Avant Garde guy was pretty skeptical about the quality we would receive at our price. Its only been a few days since the lawn was put in, but we got really solid value. Im picky, so I have been dissatisfied on some minor fronts, but I have to remember the great price I got it at. If I was rating for quality alone, I might give it 4 stars instead of 5. If youre a perfectionist with lots of cash, maybe look somewhere else. Bushman worked great for us.
Love the work he did for us. The fire pit he recommended turned about even better than we had imagined. We ll use him again next year for phase 2 of our landscaping plan.
