Eco Lawn has done 2 large projects for us at our home in Montecito. Both times they were extremely professional, great communicators, on time and on budget, and we ended up with a perfect lawn! They are the best!

Overall, we were happy with the service from EcoLawn, and we are truly enjoying our new outdoor space. But there are some caveats that others may want to heed. 1) the designer (Nick) was excellent at seeking to understand our objectives and incorporate them into the plans. He is also very knowledgeable and willing to share ideas. We had some high level concepts, and he went through multiple on-site meetings to discuss options and guide us through decisions. 2) I appreciate the professionalism of the management. They have good project management systems and processes to ensure fairness and transparency, with some exceptions. And they are focused on making sure we as their customer are satisfied. 3) the field crews needed some oversight, but they were receptive to my input. On multiple occasions, they left loose trash (bottles, cans, construction debris) in our yard and our neighbors yard over night. And they left some sharp tools (utility knives & razor blades) laying around after end of shift within easy reach of my small kids. As I would bring these matters to managements attention, they were addressed. But they should not have happened in the first place. 4) I had to do some of my own quality control, such as ensuring grades were achieved for proper subgrade preparation & drainage and that materials were installed correctly. As I would identify items to the crew leader, they were generally addressed without much resistance. 5) some substitutions/additions on plant varieties were implemented without informing us in advance. These were generally minor in nature, but this may be more important to other customers. In summary, we are satisfied with the work performed and the finished product. But it took some extra attention and work on our part to ensure we got what we expected.

The designer ..Jerry Galanti.. was most creative and accomodating. He listened to our vision and helped with wonderful ideas.. He was never pushy.. always mindful of cost and accessibility. He ALWAYS was in constant communication by email for every detail throughout the process.. even after the job was completed .. he helped with additional thoughts we had. The actual construction was done exactly on time and as neatly and perfectly as possible The workers were very thorough and everything was spotlessly done.. protecting all existing areas.. and were accomodating with last minute thoughts.. Again.. the communication between us and the designer and the construction people was instantaneous and friendly.. Everyone was professional, friendly and hard workers!

Excellent customer service & installation all around. The team was prompt in responding to my requests and advising on the right turf to meet our needs. We have several dogs and they were able to provide a solution that looked like genuine grass and could survive dogs wrestling around in it.

The crew cleaned up the job site down to the very last spec of dirt (I honestly think our whole property was cleaner when they left), then Patrick closed the loop and made sure we were 100% satisfied. About 6 years ago EcoLawn installed about 3500 sf of artificial lawn. More recently EcoLawn installed another 500sf in another area. Both times they did an excellent job. Everyone one we have dealt with are friendly, conscientious, and talented. We have been very pleased working with EcoLawn.

Our backyard was pretty unusable for us and our young kids. We reached out to a couple different places in town to help us install some artificial turf. Ecolawn contacted us back and had someone come by to plan with us before the other places even got back to us. From initial contact to turfed backyard was only 2weeks! They had a lot of different turf types to choose from and helped us stay at our budget. Well definitely use them again for future landscaping needs!

As a Realtor and home improvement junkie, Ive seen and heard many stories. Eco Lawn is an incredibly professional, efficient team with fantastic turf products that look phenomenal. The crew worked diligently and fast, they were communicative and friendly too! The property was left very clean, which I appreciated. Julien and Nick were helpful in sourcing and designing the landscaping. A detail was overlooked and Eco Lawn offered to fix it right away, no questions asked. After years of battling gophers and weeds we decided to get some help. EcoLawn came up with a great designed and installed turf, decomposed granite, and wet set some flagstone for our porch. It turned out amazing and they were professional, timely, and clearly cared about the quality of the work the did!

We contracted with Ecolawn SB for our backyard renovation, and after they completed their work we wished we had used them for the front yard (did about a year before the backyard renovations, with work that has required regular repair and adjustment). We worked with them after seeing the work that they had done on a friends backyard. He had complimented their high standard of work as well as being on budget with what they had proposed. This was after they had had substandard work done with a prior company, that then required Ecolawn SB to repair and finish. What we appreciated about working with them (Patrick was our primary contact) was that they were honest, transparent, and accurate in their proposal budget. They did not attempt to upsell us on any work. They listened to what we wanted, and helped us to complete the not-so-great designs we had had done by Yardzen. I appreciated their before-construction preparation with us to make sure we and they were clear on what the end product would look and feel like. They estimated 2-3 months of work, and they completed the work in about 6 weeks. Issues arose about needing to remove pre-existing plants to bring back the heavy equipment for the work, and they completed the project by replanting what was removed. If any damage occurred to pre-existing property, they made right by it. When the side of the house stucco was damaged by the heavy equipment, it was repaired without additional cost. Their actions were consistent with integrity of the highest degree. The on-site manager, Jaime, was meticulous. The hardscape natural stone ended up not being cut precisely by the material company, leaving the grooves variable after the stone was laid. The team proceeded to manually chip away at each stone in the 1500 square foot stone hardscape to ensure the envisioned look was accurate in the end product. The long blade synthetic turf they installed (6200 square feet of it) looks amazingly similar to real grass, feels amazing under the feet, and is super popular among the neighborhood kids for soccer, kick ball, and gymnastics practice. Ecolawn s work on our backyard resulted in an amazing product. Before their work, we had a mostly dirt backyard, with numerous weeds with spherical stickers that would end up all over our dog. We were not drawn to spend time in that yard. Now we spend the majority of our time out enjoying our backyard due to their work. We plan to use them in the future for any future backyard additions.

EcoLawn did an extensive remodel in our backyard. It included plants and beds, running gas lines, concrete work, stucco work, lighting, and custom carpentry for our new redwood fence. They were not the cheapest bid, but we chose them because they had clear vision and the means to complete it all. You get what you pay for. The team is very professional and courteous, clean up after themselves, and are just really skilled. EcoLawn can do so much more than just artificial turf, and they can do it well. We had a couple challenges with the project that popped up as we went along and they handled everything in a timely matter with minimal extra cost and change orders. Big projects always have issues, and they way they handled those issues stood out. Highly recommend.

EcoLawn replaced our front yard with artificial turf. This was a big decision and a costly one, so we wanted to get it right! We interviewed four local turf companies before choosing EcoLawn and feel we made the right decision. From start to finish the EcoLawn team was amazing! They did a pretty good job but they laborers who installed it didn t speak English and needed more supervision. The manager said it could go over a few feet. I thought that would be great and when they cut the grass it wasn t where he said it would be. I called several times and finally got ahold of him and he said they changed back to the original plan without telling me. I wasn t very happy about that. The laborers scooped the gravel out of our driveway. I guess it s now under the artificial grass. I hope that s not a problem. They did replace the gravel. I didn t realize I needed to supervise the job myself. They need someone on the job who can communicate with the customer.

The continuing drought and the potential of lawn watering restrictions convinced me that I should replace my front and back lawns with artificial turf. I decided to go with EcoLawn SB after seeing some examples of their work on a few of the homes in my area. I just want to say how happy I am with the work that the team at EcoLawn SB did at my home. The crew from EcoLawn SB worked extremely hard removing the old lawn and excavating down several inches to prepare the base for the artificial turf. I am just so impressed with the entire crew who did the installation. The workers were very professional and respectful of the areas around the lawn areas being replaced, being very careful not to damage the landscaping or any personal property. The base was installed, graded, and tamped down expertly. The artificial turf was then installed, infilled, and groomed to perfection. The final results are just amazing! My yards look fantastic, so much like real grass. The best part is no more watering, mowing, feeding, or weeding! Artificial turf has advanced so far from what we used to call AstroTurf, being much more realistic and durable now. I have had my new artificial turf for about a week now, and I am totally thrilled with it. I highly recommend EcoLawn SB to anyone thinking about replacing their lawns with artificial turf. They have a large selection of different turf styles to choose from, their work crews are hard working and professional, and the results are just beautiful.

EcoLawn did such an amazing job on my new lawn. It looks amazing and is pet proof, even with goats close by! They are super fast, finishing the job in about a day and a half, leaving the work area cleaner than they found it. We are very happy with our new landscaping. Its a wonderful combination of drought resistant plants and succulents and attractive ground cover. Really liking the ability to control irrigation and site lighting from app-based systems. When there was a small hiccup on the project the owner, Beau, took a personal, hands-on interest in the project and leading his team. They take a lot of pride in their work.

These guys do consistently good work at fair prices. We had them install an eco lawn at the rear of our property where we were having gopher problems. It turned out beautiful and no more gophers. We then had them transform a corner of our yard that used to house an old abandoned well. They created a magical sitting area with flagstone patio and French lavender accented with Agaves. We love it!!!

We recently asked the professionals at EcoLawn to return to our house to refresh our turf grass, since we now have a puppy and its getting more use, shall we say :). We also had them add a bit more turf under the swing area instead of the bark chips that had been there which added a much softer landing area for the kiddos. In addition, we asked them if they could build us an outdoor shower and showed them photos of what we had in mind. They knocked it out of the park and the shower looks great. We use it all the time for the sandy puppy and kids and it has completed our backyard, which we are spending A LOT of time in, especially these days! EcoLawn re-installed the turf at Dioji K-9 Resort and Athletic Club in Goleta California where I am part owner. This is the 4th time we have installed turf amongst our soon to be 4 locations and I have personally installed synthetic turf at my own home. EcoLawn was the best experience we have had. They were fast, on budget, professional, responsive and followed up to the very last exacting detail. I am sure that the turf use at Dioji needs more attention to detail than almost any business or homeowner will ever need. Dioji has many happy dogs doing what they do 365 days a year. We know the turf installation, seams and edges needed to withstand that kind of use while still being aesthetically pleasing and comfy on the pups paws -- EcoLawn delivered on all our demands.

We recommend EcoLawn in the strongest possible terms, and without reservation. You may think the following is too good to be true that we re somehow related to them. But truthfully, we cold-called them based on seeing a single friend s house. EcoLawn provided a rare experience in home renovation: the outcome was better than we could imagine, despite having dreamt of the project for quite some time. They did everything on a large project spanning our entire yard (back, front, and side): new patio, new lawn (artificial turf), stone walkways, new stone walls, raised garden beds, new trees, irrigation, and wash lighting on large potted plants and sidewalks. I m assuming they ll post pictures somewhere that will speak for themselves, but in summary, we think it is absolutely beautiful and of the highest quality. The process was an unbelievable contrast to our previous experience with contractors: quotes came immediately, with fully complete details. Phone calls and emails were returned immediately. The project started, and finished, exactly according to schedule despite a few significant changes and surprises along the way. When there were questions, pictures were texted with options. One can imagine the thousands of details that needed sorted out and they did it all. The most amazing part was that they took the time, care, and attention needed to *understand* our vision not simply following orders, but making numerous suggestions to determine what we wanted, even if we didn t do a good job articulating it. Naturally, there were strong project benefits enabled by their vertical integration, but we were amazed that each individual piece was given the same detailed attention and held to the same high standard of excellence. EcoLawns employees were respectful and cooperative, but even more genuinely seemed to love what they were doing. They clearly enjoyed their craft making something really right . (One of our favorite workers sang frequently in a big booming voice and the kids loved it! All of them were friendly, polite, and responsive.) Our neighbors commented how impressed they were by the crew and their professionalism, how they cleaned up the site each evening and were never a nuisance, despite how large our project was. On the last day, even though they were crunched and facing uncertainty from the impending COVID-19 lockdown, they stuck around to wash the outdoor lights *by hand* to get the dust off from the blowing! Regarding cost, EcoLawn seemed consistent with other quotes we received, perhaps a touch higher. But, the coupled cost-benefit analysis makes them a no-brainer to us. Any money would could have been saved by going with other contractors was more than made up for by the service and responsiveness, top notch quality, and excellent overall project management.

I had the lawn put in the front, first they measured it wrong and had to redo it in accordance with the contract. Then, it was laid so poorly that weeds constantly grow through causing me to have my gardener take the time to pull the weeds out.

We recently hired EcoLawn SB to install a back patio which was actually mostly a hardscaping job. They came in with a great quote and were quickly able to do a fantastic job. They did a good job walking us through the different options and giving us a sketch up of how it would look. Overall we were very happy with EcoLawn and would high recommend them.

I am not one to write reviews usually, however our landscape project was such a positive experience with an amazing work of art upon completion that I thought others might benefit from hearing about EcoLawn and Patrick Hagan. When I first called the office, a lovely young lady answered asking about my project that she might match me with the right contractor. Soon after, I received a call from Patrick. He was professional but warm, interested even though it is a rather small project compared to some of their usual work, and he made an appointment to meet at the site. He took measurements and gave his professional ideas as well as shared pictures of his work and what might work well in this outdoor condo patio. (He even shared less expensive options for this smaller space that could have been done without the need of a contractor or even as a diy project...me trying a landscaping diy ...there goes the neighborhood!) Admittedly, I had several needs and requirements that would be difficult to meet. Patrick never wavered but continued with ideas to make it work. I wanted a flagstone patio with a rather unique design that would make a statement in my smaller outdoor living space and yet still fit patio furniture, a grill, an outdoor heater, and extra seating that looked 100% natural (as it is one of the only all-natural materials you can use for a patio). When I had difficulty deciding on the exact look or olor, he took me to the stone yard so that I could see all of the options in the sunlight to see how it would really look once installed. He produced a one of a kind color combinations and shaped buckskin patio that fits the space perfectly. He added special touches like bronze drainage fixtures and a stand-out grouting that magnifies the beauty of the natural stone. He also added a protective sealant coating to ensure that a product that will likely last a lifetime will look beautiful every day to come. The contract was easy via DocuSign. Patrick followed up with the progress with me often many times sending pictures. I may be a bit partial, but I believe anyone who walks the neighborhood of condos will say wow that one looks like someone really put their talent and heart into making a beautiful and functional outdoor space. Thank you Patrick and EcoLawn! I would absolutely recommend them for your landscaping project.

Check Yelp too, the ratings are just as high. I have never seen anyone without at least a few negative reviews. The reason EcoLawn SB rates so high? Everyone one from the office people to the workers who do the installation work are just plain good people. When we decided to go the route of artificial grass and pavers, our initial intention had been to get at least 3 bids. After interacting with EcoLawn SB we never spoke with anyone else. EcoLawn SB was that impressive. 10 am appointment for a consultation? Patrick, the EcoLawn SB representative was there at exactly 10 am. We were quite impressed too when Patrick insisted on removing his shoes when entering our home so as to not track in the rain that the area had recently been experiencing. Patrick also helped us in applying for a local Goleta Water District rebate that we probably would have overlooked. During the time we were evaluating our options, we actually received an E-mail from System Pavers advertising a heavily discounted sale. My mother, who had used System Pavers, was entitled to a $500 referral bonus that she was willing to donate to our project. Despite these tempting offers, we elected to go with EcoLawn SB. EcoLawn SBs customer service and professional attitude was so impressive that we felt no competitor could compare. The work crews were just as equally impressive. All though they were all great, Pedro really stood out. He is a perfectionist and his works shows how much he loves and is dedicated to his work. We had a sewer cover that Pedro had to painstakingly hand cut paver stones to fit around. The finished product was amazing. As a final touch too, Pedro cut and provided us with a door mat made from leftover scraps of our selected artificial turf. Go ahead a check out other vendors, see their reviews. I challenge you to find another provider that has nothing but 5 stars!

We recently had EcoLawn SB remove our old lawn and replace it with artificial turf. They did a fantastic job. I was contacted within 24 hours after asking for a consult to set up a meeting. We were given a quote very quickly and the job scheduled faster than expected. EcoLawn SB also referred us to the correct contact to get our rebate. The lawn was very well done and we enjoy every second of it. They also removed weeds from a gravel area we had and cleaned up the area with weed barrier and new gravel.

We previously had Ecolawn do a putting green and the surrounds of a trampoline. Recently they added turn under our play set and it looks amazing. Job was done faster than expected and have referred to friends and family. They are great!

To say that I am totally pleased with my lawn would be a HUGE under statement! The transformation that took place not only with my lawn, but also surrounding areas, was nothing short of monumental! I was a victim of the Montecito mudslides and our property was, to say the least, quite devastated. When I initially met with Patrick Hagen, the EcoLawn representative, I was not sure which direction we should take. He is without a doubt a landscape genius and exhibited a remarkable insight of the project. His vision of my property was beyond my wildest dreams, and to actually see it come to fruition has been nothing short of extraordinary! The team working on the lawn included John, the hardest working, most capable man I have ever witnessed, and Marco, an amazing plant expert! There were numerous other wonderful men working very hard to accomplish a true masterpiece! I wish I could give them ten stars!!!

We recently had EcoLawn SB put in artificial turf and a retaining wall near our new pool build. They were incredibly professional, flexible with our somewhat complicated timeline due to ongoing construction, and we absolutley LOVE our new lawn!

We had a wonderful experience with EcoLawn this month. Patrick was extremely responsive with his emails and upfront about their quote and plans for our little backyard. EcoLawnSB s quote was far below other companies and their work was incredible. As soon as we pulled the trigger, their guys were out at our house completing the project a few days later. They protected our interior space (we had no gate access) and produced a beautifully manicured turf and pavers combo backyard for our townhome. It took 3 days and every day then guys left the house looking clean like no one had been there all day. Josiah was awesome and super friendly and informative throughout the project. Always a smile on his face despite such tough manual labor! The yard looks great and the plants they picked out were beautiful. I would definitely recommend this company!

We love love love love our backyard. We have 5 grown children and 2 grandsons so this transformation from an unusable backyard to 3500 sq ft of extra outdoor living space has changed our lives. We had EcoLawn remove our old gopher hole filled sorry excuse for a lawn, which we never played on or enjoyed looking at for an absolutely gorgeous artificial Bantam 70 artificial lawn that makes our yard look awesome, and is now usable to play soccer, tball, have a picnic, or anything, without getting muddy, or wishing the gophers would die. Everytime I look out the front window, I smile at how great it looks, how long its going to last, and that I wont have to water it, mow it, edge it, or be frustrated by gophers ruining it!

Ok. So I was skeptical of the artificial lawn idea. But I am now a Huge fan. Nick Hart and his team absolutely killed it doing my lawn. One day... In and out. Lawn looks stunning. My dogs love it. Wife is super happy. Kids, meh... (But theyre teenagers so who cares what they think.) And I never have to mow or water or anything. Nick pointed out that I can get money back from the city and Im like Hell Yeah! Super nice guys, fast, walked me through everything and cleaned up better than they found it. I cant say enough great things. Dont wait. Call them. Can I give 6 stars?

ECOLAWN was great ! ! !... They installed my synthetic lawn a month a go and I couldnt be happier. It was exactly what I needed. The old grass lawn was costing a fortune to maintain and looked awful with potholes / gophers / weeds and sloped so badly it was not usable. Within two days EcoLawn removed the old lawn / leveled the yard with railroad ties as a border and laid a synthetic lawn that is hard to distinguish from real. Now I can use the lawn for lounge chairs and play without having to water / weed / fertilize and mow. The initial cost will pay for itself in a few years, plus Santa Barbara Water Wise rebate program gave me $1000. I highly recommend EcoLawn should you be considering the switch from real to synthetic. Good Luck !

Patrick and his team at eco lawn were a pleasure to work with. They did an excellent job. They were flexible, reasonable and did an excellent job. Patrick gave us enough flexibility while working within our budget. The ecolawn workers were very efficient as well. Our back yard was very unruly with lot of dead weeds and some old furniture. In just a day and a half they cleared out everything, raised by base level by 6 inches, laid out the stones and planted an orange tree. I would highly recommend ecolawn!

I was having a problem with my in-ground irrigation system. So I called and someone come out the very same day for a free estimate. As it turns out, the problem was solved on the spot. Very prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Trinity Preschool has worked with EcoLawn twice in the last couple of years. They have installed lawn in our toddler center as well as our main playground. They also filled our sandbox and constructed two fences for us. We are always so, so impressed with the quality of their product, their work, and their knowledge. As a school, we are so thankful for how courteous all of their staff has been. They anticipated noise level and worked around our schedule. What a great experience from start to finish. Very informative web site with all kinds of great information - even how they structure their costs and pricing. Just as good in person with a free consultation with Nick and a second visit to discuss other options. Scheduling was easy and the team that showed up, iincluding Alex as the foreman were on time, very professional and excellent at what they do. They even improved upon the original design as they were doing the installation. The end result is a beautiful, lush looking yard! According to SB City they are going to increase the water rates again in 2016 so I decided to put an end to it and called Eco Lawn to install AstroTurf in my back yard. I knew I would save money not watering my lawn anymore but I didnt realize it would save this much $. To make a long story short I am saving over $400 a month not watering lawn anymore. So 5 star to Eco Lawn for saving me money and installing a beautiful product. Thanks DW

I am so incredibly happy with our (mostly) new front and back yards. All our neighbors think its great looking, too. Some even thought the artificial grass was real. :) Jessica was super easy to work with and she came up with most of the design along with Beaus input. The crew was wonderful and always cleaned up after they were done for the day. We used artificial turf, large pavers for a walkway, plants with mulch, flagstone, and CA Gold rocks for our project. Jessica also was instrumental in our quest for and receipt of the drought-tolerant plants rebates. I would highly recommend them!

Prompt Response. Accurate estimate. Once a date was set for installation EcoLawn was on time .The ground preparation, curbing and lawn installation was professionally done. It was economical and we are very pleased.

Jessica was available for an estimate very soon after I made the initial inquiry. Her partner, Beau, came out and gave a firm estimate shortly thereafter. I liked the fact that they are local and ALL they do is install artificial turf. On the day of the install, a team of 6 showed up and worked all day, even during the rain that fell lightly, to get the job done. They cleaned up afterwards, with brooms, and using very little water, a good thing, during our drought.

I prefer to use local businesses when I can. From the beginning to the end, the experience with EcoLawn was perfect. Crew was efficient and considerate. Our new lawn went in with no hassles. Our dogs love it. I highly recommend EcoLawn to anyone considering this water saving alternative to grass.
