Jeff and his team did a great work. He was quick and timely to reply, did the work to our front yard all within a day and it looks great! They even came out a few days later to adjust a few sprinklers for us no questions asked. We certainly will use them again for any landscaping needs!

I was disappointed in how the trees and shrubs were planted around the patio arbor. Oscar came and spent time replanting things so I had my Mountain View back and could screen neighbors shed and chicken coop. He was very patient and worked hard relocating things. Also, when the subcontractors came to build the hut pavillion, they mentioned that they see a lot of patios and Francisco s patios are always top notch.

Mott did a wonderful job transforming our front yard with xeriscaping. Very professional, pleasant to work with, the project came in under budget. Would highly recommend!

Mott s landscaping came through for me big time. I hired 2 prior landscapers, one in January, one in February. Both disappeared. It was vitally important to get our backyard done as quickly as possible to enjoy with my young family. The current condition was unsafe and unusable from the prior home owners. Mid way through the summer I had to start all over again. Mott came the next day after I contacted them to look at the designs and yard. They gave me a quote within 24 hours that was right on par with the landscapers that disappeared. I approved the quote and they got me on the schedule as soon as they could! Their team showed up at 8am and worked the entire day until 8pm! They worked so hard and so fast until the project was completed. Any issues I had were quickly resolved. A great company, and honest. The final bill was slightly smaller than the quote. The yard is beautiful and we have been enjoying ever since!! Thank you for saving the end of summer for my family.

Got cut off and almost ran off the road twice last Wednesday. These guys drive so aggressively and desperately its so weird. Says a lot about you guys and your company. What if someone had kids in their car? I will definitely be telling people not to go with this company if they need landscaping.

Jeffs team at Motts was fantastic to work with. Jeff was very knowledgeable and designed a landscape that fit our wishes and dimensions perfectly. Motts Landscaping was professional from the beginning of the process from the quote, installation and follow up. We had our old backyard sod removed and replaced, plus a few trees installed. A couple of minor tweaks were needed to the sprinkler system and they were handled promptly. No surprises on the final billing. 100% recommended.

While we had a rocky start, we have changed our review to a 5 star based on the response from the owners and seeing how hard their employee work, through wind and snow in order to get the job done. Our back yard went from overgrown weeds, broken patio to a beautiful oasis! Our favorite feature is the water fall, we can hear it from our upstairs deck, it is so peaceful! I almost got deliberately run off the road by a Mott s landscaping truck. Not impressed.

We hired Mott s to redesign our huge but neglected backyard and are beyond thrilled with the results. Everything from the design to the execution phase went smoothly, and they were very responsive to my questions and requests. I started talking to Motts Landscaping after being ghosted by another landscaping company that I had been planning with for months. Most of the planning phase was done with Jeff who was knowledgeable and responsive. He understood what I was trying to achieve, and drew up some lovely plans for our yard. We made a few adjustments to the plan to better fit our situation, and to ease the strain on our pocketbook. (Im NOT saying theyre overpriced--their quote was comparable to those that I received from two other companies--its just expensive to xeriscape your front yard!) The crew that performed the work was very professional. They were polite and friendly, they were more than willing to answer our questions, their work was top-notch, AND they cleaned EVERYTHING up afterwards. After the work was complete and the crew left I noticed something small I wanted fixed. I contacted Jeff and he had someone come out to fix it the next day. I really cant say enough good things about this company and team. Our yard was a mess and now we get compliments on it regularly. I would recommend this company without hesitation.

Great experience with Motts, would use them again. I cant comment much on price as Motts is the only of around 5 companies back in 2021 that came out and continued the work. We had a 2 year project, whole landscape design and and that was done bit by bit and the final project turned out wonderfully kudos to the Jordan, Jeff, Oscar, and the rest of the team. They were quite responsive and took our considerations into mind while letting us know when we were making questionable choices. They came back several times when requested to fix/modify certain aspects which really made us feel like they were invested in the whole project and our satisfaction.

We hired Motts Landscaping for a large backyard renovation in the Holladay area after getting a few bids. The work included substantial grading and fill, building retaining walls & a paver walkway, and installation of sprinklers, fence, sod, and all plants and trees among other things. Motts was one of the few landscapers who seemed excited about OUR ideas to improve and beautify the yard rather than just do what they wanted. Their team was able to accomplish a huge amount of work in a very short time and went above and beyond to make the entire yard look better. They were always friendly and professional. This company did a great job. The owner s were thorough, organized and responsive. The crew was the Best part. They were totally willing to do whatever I asked or redo things if needed. They worked SO hard For me. They are friendly and love their job and they are all from the same family- 3 generations! The project was expensive but they deserve to be paid well. Their prices were probably comparable to other companies it just costs a lot to have landscaping done.

I had Motts Landscaping and Maintenance do a spring cleanup. My yard was over grown and had many weeds. I finally got over the fact that I couldnt do it all myself and hired Motts. Juans crew came out and did a fantastic job. They were professional, on time and never stopped working until my entire yard was done. Over 5 hours of work. Everything looks great. Im so happy I will be calling them again.

We did a moderately sized landscaping project that included patio, a lot of steel work, a lot of electrical, a fair amount of demo of old overgrown and junky stuff and a water feature. I enjoy gardening and landscaping so I wanted to be involved in planning and design and most of all in the plant choice and planting. They accommodated me in this regard quite easily and helped with suggestions and ideas. Motts was not the least expensive nor were they most expensive. I felt the price was fair. Terms of payment were fair as well. I kept modifying things along the way and I am sure that annoyed them but again they accommodated that. It made dialing in costs a bit harder but there was never a huge surprise when invoices came. We were pleased with their work, especially given the insanity of COVID and supplies and materials issues (sod). Things moved along surprisingly well and we were enjoying the new space and stuff actually before the original estimate of when theyd be done-- a miracle in and of itself. The most impressive thing to us was that their crew and their subs (the concrete folks were the only folks I was sure were subs) were all pleasant and seemed happy working out there. Landscaping can be hard and rough work (wheel barrow after wheel barrow of topsoil or hauling off branches, junk etc.???) and I have in the past with other companies and crews noticed that they sometimes seem miserable and not happy which I could understand given the nature of a lot of the work. The happiness showed in their work. I honestly thought one day Id walk out back to chat with them and find them whistling or singing a song. We are loving our new patio and water feature. So glad we did it and that Motts helped us out.

Motts Landscaping was professional in their work. When we discussed my project they had great ideas and I felt like they understood what I had envisioned. They were honest in letting me know it would take a few months before they could get to my project. When I had questions they were willing to make sure I knew what they were doing and checked with the project manager to clarify any of my concerns. I would highly recommend them. We had to have a big beautiful tree removed in our backyard late last fall and during that time it took out several of our sprinkler heads. My husband had a knee replacement and could not repair them. I contacted Jeff at Mott Landscaping and actually had a returned phone in a timely manner. When I explained the situation to Jeff, he did indicate that they were in one of the busiest times, however, he said he would get his sprinkler expert in touch with us as quickly as possible. Within a week, I received a call from Curtis, who introduced himself and said he was in front of our home. He took a look at our sprinkler system and the damaged sprinkler heads and indicted that this was something he could do right now. Curtis was amazing, so knowledgeable and fun! With his talent and expertise he had everything resolved very quickly. As we know service is everything! A big shout out to Jeff and Curtis with Mott Landscaping for exceeding all expectations! I would with great confidence call Jeff and Curtis with Mott Landscaping for any landscaping or maintenance needs. High five!!! Thank you!

Jordan was just so rude to me when doing my yard. Wouldn t recommend to even my worst enemy

Update to prior review - I wanted to give Jeff another chance in 2020 with my spring cleaning. He did a great job so I upped my review from 1 to 3. If the fall cleaning goes just as well, I will continue to change my review upwards. Everyone deserves a second chance to prove themselves. Thanks Jeff. Jeff is a super nice guy and it pains me a bit to write this review. But the service levels have dropped off considerably over the last year. The grass cutting crew has left my big wooden gate open repetitively and I have two dogs. If you value your dogs life, DO NOT hire Motts. The did not even have the courtesy to respond to my email when I mentioned that my dog got out and was almost killed plus I had to spend hours looking for him They consistently show up to do clean ups when work was not requested. They go ahead and do the work and then expect you to pay them. Not a very ethical business practice. Lastly, the guys that do the clean ups do not know the difference between poppy flowers and weeds. I came home to work I didnt even request and they had removed 7 of my big established poppy plants. To make up for it, they replaced with 4 poppy plants literally 10% the size of what they took out for weeds. Oh, cant forget the time they cleaned up my neighbors yard instead of mine and wanted me to pay for it Everything in this review is 100% true. Jeff and the guys are super nice and pleasant but the service is severely lacking. Maybe their biz grew too fast. I have a business as well and you just cant treat clients like this. I felt it was my duty to leave a review.

Hi there We had Jeff and Jordan totally renovate our backyard this spring. We had an old cinder block retaining wall fall last winter so we knew we had to replace that. It started there. They suggested beautiful boulders to set as the wall. From there they leveled out some grassy area and built retaining walls and a beautiful stone stairway between levels. They also built a beautiful paver firepit area. Then last they planted beautiful trees and plants. Jordan has come several times since the completion of the project with little issues that have come up. They were very professional and really great to work with. I have recommended everyone who ask to them. I would highly recommend their business.

We had a great experience with this company! I dont know anything about trees, but they do--they were able to suggest the appropriate plants for our yard based on how tall we wanted them, how much space they had, etc. The results looks great! The folks at Mott were also very flexible when we asked them if we could add some additional services, like planting more bushes and hanging lights. We appreciate their professionalism, expertise, and flexibility.

Jeff and Jordan were great to work with! They worked with our existing landscaping to create an oasis. We love the plant recommendations.They are knowledgeable about local plants, responsive, and provided great service.

Motts came out to my place said they needed a few days and they would email me a bid. Bid never showed up, I called twice and left messages to see where the bid was, not one person returned my call, If you want business and have good references this is not the way to do it. After this review was posted, Jeff Mott reached out to me and apologized and had my email wrong. Jeff sent me the quote (to the correct email) and it was the lowest of the three I had received. I will be going with Motts for my landscape business. I will give Motts a five star.

I paid to have Motts Landscaping and Maintenance winterize the sprinkler system. It wasnt blown out, and the water in the back flow preventer (aka, vacuum breaker) froze and expanded. When I turned on the sprinklers in the spring, it was broken and the water went everywhere. Im in the process of paying another company to have it repaired now, because I need the sprinkling system on next week. Lets see if Motts steps up. Motts is here repairing it now and offered a credit for the cost of winterization.

I had such a great experience working with Jeff Mott and his team! Jeff came by to look at my yard just a couple of days after I contacted him for a quote. Was really friendly and enthusiastic about the vision I had for my yard and was great about working within my budget. His guys finished up xeriscaping my front yard in ONE DAY. I was absolutely blown away at the transformation when I got home from work. They left everything cleaner than they found it, and I m pleased with the quality of the materials he used. There was a slight misunderstanding about the scope of the project. When I contacted Jeff about it, he was really quick to get back to me and work to make it right. We hired Motts to re-landscape the front yard after having to dig up and replace the water main. It was a disaster before they started and a park after. They did a great job sticking with the brief and keeping costs reasonable. The did the hard-scape, watering system, soil amendments and planting in just 4 days. They guarantee their work and follow up as needed. Hard-working, accommodating, agreeable, and professional team!

I had a sprinkler head added by Steve T. The work that was done was perfect and Steve was a great tech to have come out and do work. The next time I need some work done I will for sure have Steve come out.

Called a few weeks ago & Jeff came out to our home and said that he needs 4 days and that he would have a bid for us. We never heard back, so i called and left voicemails, sent texts on different days not even a response or call back. Before posting this i gave them a call and same thing no answer.

Hired Motts after getting bids from 5 Contractors. Jeff and Jordan were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. The job was complex and involved complete xeriscaping of front and back yards. Communication was first rate and they let us know what was happening through all phases of the project. Motts crews did a marvelous job, and were very conscientious. Working from our designs the final results were better that we envisioned! The cascading waterfall alone made the whole project worth it. I would recommend Motts to anyone looking for a landscaper they can trust to do a great job!

We recently xeriscaped our front yard and Jeff and Jordan were a great help. They helped us design the landscape and they and their crew did a great job installing it. They were very easy to work with. The crew was also easy to work with and even accommodated us when we requested a few additions and changes. All in all it went smoothly, on time, and the results are terrific. I would absolutely recommend them.
