The designer incorporated our ideas into the blueprint with minor adjustments. We were very satisfied with the backyard design. We wished that we had a 3D rendering of the blueprint as we weren't good visualizing the final garden. Workers were courteous and clean. Alan was good at answering all our questions before, during and after the project. He modified and/or added details as a response to our concerns. The result is a beautiful, professional-looking, and earth friendly backyard. We just had our first maintenance visit before the rains, Aiden left the backyard looking great. PD We were happily surprised at the amount we got back from the landscape rebate program. Thank you, Alan and his team.
Bay Maples was able to take my modern mantle design and make it a stunning reality. Alan and his crew worked with me in their shop as well as on the job site. They took the time to insure all the details were going to work. My clients are very happy with the results. Bay Maples did a great job transforming our front and side yards to a low water-usage garden. Together, we selected plants that don't require much water but still flower, attracting bees, butterflies and other insects (I have even seen grasshoppers and praying mantises). We already had fruit trees, and they added a couple more that we wanted (figs & persimmons). They also come by periodically to help us keep the plants in good shape. We are very happy with the results, and after a stressful day or week, it's nice to look at the garden, soak in its tranquility, and feel those relaxing vibes.
Bay Maples designed and installed a beautiful new front yard for us full of native, drought-tolerant plants that are not only lovely but also bee- and bird-friendly, just as we wanted. They were incredibly patient through several plant selection iterations as we honed in on the exact assortment of plants to include The end result is magazine-worthy! It makes us happy to see it every day and we've received several compliments from our neighbors.
I had three beautiful floating redwood shelves made and installed. I was able to go to the yard and pick out the slabs myself. The grain and knots are simply beautiful, and I constantly get compliments for them. The team was very responsive and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend!
Bay Maples is a great company to work with. They took care of our frontyard landscape design with drought tolerant plants, as well as redesigning the backyard. They guided us through all phases of the project, from design to implementation and stayed available to lisyen to us and explain what they are doing now and what is coming next. They did a great job and work hard to build the best landscape with the given constraints and requirements!
Alan and his team installed last year a bird-and-pollinator friendly, drought resistant garden in our backyard, including a winding path and a raingarden, in place of our old lawn. I followed Bay Maples work for a while via their website, youtube videos and social media posts. I wanted to install water capture tanks at my home, hidden from the street. Alan and team installed 2700 gallons of tanks, with a pump, so I can water or irrigate as needed. It fills in dramatic fashion when it rains, fed from the roof gutters on the front of my house. He milled redwood and custom built a beautiful fence as well to hide the tanks from the street, using logs harvested from downed trees. Alan and team also installed a rain infiltration (swale) system, fed from drains around my house, storing the water in the ground for the trees and landscaping. Its an amazing addition, visually and more importantly, functionally. It keeps the rainwater from escaping to the street and bay. Finally, Alan and his team installed a new permeable driveway for me, which also keeps rain water on the lot vs. draining to the bay, as it used to do. Alan and his team have an amazing ethos, built around creating beautiful landscaping featuring native and edible plants, rainwater harvesting, and material re-use. I have visited several sites where he completed projects and they are beautiful. His teams focus on sustainability and upcycling of materials is fantastic.
Alan is a real pro. Knows his plants and has a very keen eye for esthetics. I highly recommend him for any landscaping work. Honest, on time and quality work. What more could you ask.

We had dreamed of having a native garden for a while and Bay Maples made that dream come true! They landscaped our entire front and back yards incorporating both native plants and fruit trees. All of the team members were friendly, hardworking and creative. I really appreciated the re-use of materials, the reduction of hardscape and the beauty of the final result. After 3 years, we are still thrilled with their work and loving our yard! I highly recommend them!
Courteous, friendly, responsive. Replaced front yard lawn with landscaping requiring less water and repaired back yard spigots. Very happy with the repairs, the irrigation system, and with some of the plants suggested and planted. A couple of the plants did not survive - - too much sun for one type and another rotted out due to heavy winter storms. Provided free consultation for some replacement plants and promptly responded to repair request for broken water line.
We had a great experience with the Bay Maples team and would highly recommend them! We love our front and back yards, now with beautiful native and drought tolerant plants, fantastic looking swales and a fenced veggie area.

In addition to the native plant landscaping, highlights include: a custom corten steel planter box and cocktail garden curved to our existing patio with attached natural live edge bench, storm water swale down the middle of the yard with log bridge, custom Little Free Library, automatic drip irrigation system, landscape lighting, custom pattern bricklaying, flagstone pathways, compacted decomposed granite pathways, boulders and stumps strategically placed for kids obstacle course, and much more.
