About
Brothers Tom and Jeff Garton chose the name for their company inspired by the beauty of their natural surroundings in the local communities of San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano and Dana Point. They started their company in a Dana Point garage in 1990. One a USC educated architectural designer, the other a business savvy younger brother who had been rising up the corporate ladder. Their motivation centered around family life and building beautiful landscapes where their clients could make shared memories with their own families and friends. Since those humble beginnings, they have built a team of creative landscape designers, experienced supervisors, project coordinators, detail oriented crews and courteous customer service personnel.

Bryan and the Paradise team did an amazing job to transform my property from an eyesore into a true gem. Neighbors and passersby constantly pay compliments to my curb appeal and yet do not even know what beauty exists behind the front gate. Bryan started with a CAD design and managed all the trades: demo, pavers, concrete, wood fences, new deck, irrigation, planting. Bryan's experience shined with his ability to "connect the dots" between the various trades, prerequisites, dependencies, etc. Bryan's finishing touch is his plant selection and placement - just brilliant. Paradise Design were fantastic! Don K and his team did an amazing job and were very responsive during the process. From pedestal paving throughout patio and outdoor kitchen, to a 1-of-a-kind water feature and extensive California native landscaping with ‘night sky sensitive’ lighting, as well as a gorgeous concrete and integrated turf drive — the final result is simply amazing. The experience of doing business with Paradise Design for our landscaping needs was everything we had hoped for. Landscaping project would be the biggest transformation for our home and Paradise met our expectations! Don and his crew were top notch workers & the designing of our yard was tremendous.
We feel fortunate that we had Nick Flores as our landscape lead. He is a natural people-person, adept at supervising large teams of workers, and extremely proficient in his skills for outdoor design. He listened carefully to what we wanted, took us to personally select the stones and plants, and then used his unique creative vision to reimagine our yard. As if that wasn’t enough, he carefully and patiently helped guide us through the city process for getting a nice turf removal rebate. We are delighted over the results and recommend both Nick and Paradise Designs highly.
Paradise Designs did a full remodel of our front and backyard. The team was highly professional from design through execution. We had hardscaping and landscaping, to include concrete walls and planter beds, a custom built fire pit and a bocce ball court, plus a fully automated irrigation system for the new lawn, new plants and existing trees and hedges. Don provided an initial design and then adjusted the plans based on our preferences and budget. He suggested beautiful plants and other landscaping features. The team implemented the design skillfully. The job was done on time and on budget, and we couldn t be happier with the results. I highly recommend Paradise Designs!

Paradise Designs Inc. did a phenomenal job on completing our new home landscaping; from taking our conceptual ideas and turning our front and back yards into a magazine-like appearance. The crews expertise was evident as they did exceptional work in every aspect from the hardscaping, planting, lighting, and watering. They readily dealt with all of the HOA requirements, were always reliable with schedule, flexible in making as-you-go changes, and could always be reached for discussions. They are definitely a trusted and respected company that I recommend for any landscaping project.
Paradise design built a paved a patio area for us. The work was completed Feb 2020. Unfortunately the area is developing cracks. The company expects us to pay for repairs after only a few months of very light use. Hard to believe that a California based company cannot account for ground motion into a structure.
Jeff and his team designed and remodeled our entire backyard - hardscape (concrete and DG), massive cleanup, re-grading, new irrigation, new fence, new retaining wall, new lawn, etc... His team did it all, with the exception of the fence which was subcontracted. They were expensive but did excellent, detailed work. Great to have one person manage everything.
We called Paradise Designs to see about doing something for our blank space in our backyard. We knew the key elements we wanted but had no idea how to layout and implement. Jeff came out and sketched out a design we would never have dreamed of on our own. We loved it from the beginning.
