I love this place, Lyngsø! I am very late to the game in discovering it. Better late, than never. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. I just read the one star reviews; I’d like to categorize those as Karens. Seriously you’re giving a business a one star bc of their hold music? Well, good for you, your life is incredibly fantastic, if this is the kind of thing that bothers you, not to mention you have the time to write about it. I hope to be a longtime customer of this amazing company.
An essential stop when planting summer veggies. I appreciate being able to look up detailed information about each product on the website and then stop by and fill up a sack of compost/amendment/mulch. It's a quick trip, pay by the window as you exit. Excellent product too!
Very happy with my small fir bark mulch delivery. Professional, easy and high quality. worth every penny of the delivery fee, especially not having to sack it or unload!
I’ve been following Lyngso for years and buying materials from them. They have outstanding compost soils and landscaping materials. Also, very informative classes and zoom recordings.
My father in law and I are in town to do some projects for an aunt. We were looking for a place that had materials for building a stream bed. The workers were all very professional and helpful. It came across as though they enjoyed their jobs which makes the experience very easy.
I came here for a DMV vehicle weight. From the woman who answered the phone, to the guy at the scales, to the guy who took my payment, everyone was pleasant and helpful. Cost $40. I could've paid less by going to Oakland, but this was better.
This place is great. So many stones and other garden materials to choose from. Their customer service is great as well and Victor in the yard is extremely helpful. He was loading in bags to peoples car and also personally told me that even though they were sold out of the pami pebbles, he let me go towards the back to fill up one bag. Just feels good to have the staff care about their customers and try and accommodate everyone. Thanks again I am a customer for life.
Helpful employees who were more than capable of helping a newbie like myself. They helped me pick the right dirt and they rented me a truck to haul the dirt home. Lots of selection, good prices.

Lyngso is great for all things landscaping. Particularly as a do-it-yourselfer, its incredibly easy to walk up and bag your own mulch, sand and compost. Lots of varieties, and you can rent one of their dumptrucks for cheap if youre doing a big job.

Their demonstration garden area is sure to inspire! Open to the public, set aside time to browse though their stone and rock areas in their large yard.
This review is solely based on my phone experience. **Attention owners of this business** The music you have playing while your customers are on hold is absolutely horrible, it s enough to make someone want to drive off a cliff! Is that your intent? I hope not. For the love of the music Gods, deliver your customers from hell and at least play classical music, and something that actually ends, and doesn t keep looping like an endless nightmare. After ten minutes of waiting for someone to get back on the phone regarding a stock check, I gave up, I couldn t take it anymore.
Ive had very mixed experiences here. They dont always seem willing to cater to home owners looking to do diy projects. I wanted to order 4 pallets of pavers and they decided that was too few pavers and wouldnt order it, but on other occasions Ive purchased small quantities. Seems like it just depends who you talk to.
Called to check stock availability - sales dude hung up on me without responding and follow-up calls went to voicemail. Awesome service.
Great place for dirt
I came here get a weight certificate to register an out of state vehicle. The staff here were extremely friendly, weighing only took a minute, and cost $20.
This is one of the Bay Area stoneyards with the best selection. Prices arent the lowest but you can find stuff here, in particular natural stone, that you wont find in other places. I do not even believe they care about concrete pavers, they just have a huge selection of rock, stone, slabs, flagstone. They also have fountains made out of stone, a mix of natural surfaces and polished. Very professional and clean office, helpful staff.
I love the variety and have learned the process of getting materials loade and checking out. It took a few visits to understand the flow, but it works. The guys driving bulldozers are usually pretty cool and friendly. Recently however Ive had a few bad experiences with the front of house staff. Ive been getting consistent bad attitude and some cluelessness about inventory. Its too bad, this place is great otherwise.

I had a lot of backyard garden work that needed landscaping. I went over to lingso and in 15 minutes had scheduled delivery of a truckload of mulch, weedblock and stakes to my house the following morning. Well organized, friendly staff, just a good and easy experience.
The personnel at Lyngso was very accommodating and professional. Pricing was a tad high for the product but still somewhat competitive. The only thing I m disappointed in was the quality of the product. We bought a bunch of stacked stone ledger panels and corners. They were 24 x 6 inches. The length was ok, but the height was occasionally inconsistent. Some stone raised or dropped by as much as 1/4 inch. That leaves glaring gaps in an otherwise tight stacked pattern. Also, some panels had globs of glue oozing through to the fronts of the stone. My lesson learned; look CLOSELY at every panel with a tape measure when selecting your stones. Another beef is we bought pavers to top the stacks. 24 x 12 inches - with a solid 1/2 plus/minus size. So beware depending on how you re using them. Again, Lyngso the company is solid. The product they push is a little off.
Unhelpful yard men were scoffing at me just because I didnt know the procedure for loading my truck. I bought several yards of a premium arbor mulch that was dark brown and once I installed in the landscape looked ugly like old mulch.
Great selection of garden material - we buy our mulch and planting mix there all the time.. better material than the bags of soil you get at a big chain store
You can get bulk mulch, garden soil, and compost at really good prices. If you dont have a truck, you can bag your own materials to put in a smaller car. Its much cheaper than buying pre-bagged materials from garden stores.
