Weeds are really a problem where I live in my subdivision. Tru Green works diligently at controlling them. My yard is also greener and healthier and is doing better at building turf. As a personal note from my dog, they always remember to shut the back gate properly so she cant escape for a journey in the neighborhood. I appreciate the techs like Adam. Concerns are addressed in a timely manner by the office, like rescheduling.

We use TruGreen for weed control, fertilization and aeration. We do not have an irrigation system therefore our lawn is not picture perfect but TruGreen keeps it looking as good as possible.

Wry nice gentleman provided service explained what he was going to do and was prompt. My lawn looks so pretty and green!

We signed up for Pest treatment and have problems with scorpions. Well thats extra. And the treatment? Iits pellets they sprinkle around and then we have to go out and water it to activate it. Pass. I can buy bug killer and apply myself for less if Im gonna have to do half the work for you.

First, I ve never left a negative business review, but for TrueGreen I m making an exception. Poor communication, poor customer service. I went online picked a service, next day I get a request via text for a call. Someone calls me, leaves me on hold for 17 minutes, I had to hang up. Get another request for a call, when I talked with that person they explained they couldn t schedule me for service for 5 days, because I wasn t in the system yet. (Why did they request calls?). Friday. Following Wednesday I get a call from a scheduler. I explained I had hardscape in my front yard, I wanted it treated for weeds. TrueGreen did not offer that service in my area, he stated I could ask the service tech to spray and more than likely he would do it. I explained if they weren t able to treat the hardscape then I would cancel the service. Scheduler stated he would talk to his manager and call back. I did not hear back from him. Next morning, a tech shows up at my house, treats the backyard, then rings the doorbell. I called the service center, explained AGAIN, they had treated without my permission and the wrong area. I cancelled service, ask not to be billed. We settled on me paying for half of the invoice, which I was not satisfied with but just wanted out of this deal for good. Hence why I m leaving this negative review. Find another company with better communication that actually likes their customers. Buy local!!! Deanne NBTX

Used Trugreen for half a year for our front lawn during the summer and saw NO results. We followed their instructions on watering multiple times a week and bought into the plan for weed killer and fertilization so our grass can recover. We even utilized their free services to help kill the weeds, under their recommendation. At first I was hoping it was working because I really wanted it to lol so I was letting my eyes play tricks on me. I told them how the grass still looked bad and they said by the 3rd visit it would look better. They had a person come through once unannounced during the evening, to try and upsale us, we dismissed that fast because you cant upsale when what were asking for isnt working. Literally I hate to say this, but our yard looks WORSE from when we started. When we decided to leave them, they offered a discount to make us stay and finish out the plan but the grass is getting worse so our hands are tied. Too expensive to use if nothing is working out. Nice people but its not worth the cost. Were better off starting over or buying grass to rehabilitate and damage control the mess instead of wasting it on a service that doesnt work.

I ve been using TruGreen for several months. For my yard, trees, shrubs and mosquitos. For some reason these people are scared to death of dogs. I mean truly scared. Will not even enter the gated driveway. They send texts when they re on their way, but that could mean anywhere from 1-3 hours and I don t like to put my dogs in the HOT garage until they arrive. It takes about 45 seconds to get them in the garage. THREE times now, they have sent men (I use that pronoun loosely bc they are such big babies) who drive up to the gate, saw my dogs and left. Didn t bother to text me that they had arrived. One guy even saw me, drove in and turned around. I had run to put a bra on b4 going outside to put my scary, nearly dead 18 year old mid sized dogs in the garage. But by the time I got my bra on and headed to the back yard this fool was GONE. It was less than 1 minute and he left. Even though he knew I was home. He could have at the very least texted to see if I was going to put them in the hot garage but he didn t. He simply left. This has happened with Joe and Claude 3 times. Yes, I suppose I could have put them in the hot garage when I got the first text that they were coming, but from the time I got the first text to their arrival was anywhere from 1-3 hours. I m not putting my dogs in the hot garage for that long. They simply could have waited 1 minute. But they didn t. The guy today even lied and said the dogs were out. However, I was sitting in my living room watching the gate. This fool never even arrived. While they do a good job when they bother to show up, I will never used them again. They now owe me for the 2 days of work I missed waiting for them to show up. Maybe if they used women or would be better. Women are as scared as men apparently.

I love the professional attention they give in reference to my lawn needs and concerns. It s only been about 2-3 months so we shall see how this continues to go! I m prayerfully hoping well!

Bait and switch. Promised me in 10-11 months that they could produce green grass and after purchased, next week they said it would be at least 18-months. Have been trying to hear back from San Antonio branch manager (Aiden) for over a week now but still no call from him. Horrible! Will never use again.

Technician was courteous and answered my questions very directly in a calm and concise manner. It was a pleasure having a well rounded person perform my service call. I would be humble to have him perform any future calls.

Please do not use this service. My yard did not improve and when I cancelled, they tried to charge me three extra months. They have stated that I did not pay even though they had confirmations on their website and I had the charges on my credit card. Shady business. If you check them on BBB, you can see others had billing issues as well. Never trust this company and stay away. Six months after I cancelled with them and confirmed that the account was closed with no balance, they sent me a bill for service I did not receive. Again please do not use this company.

Their Mosquito Control Service does not work! I do not recommend it. I payed for their service from March of this year to July. I made sure I was doing my part by getting rid of any standing water, kept the grass short and kept the yard clean. They have sprayed my yard 5 times so far and their chemicals did nothing to the mosquito problem as you can see on the pictures. They also do not honor the scheduled appointmens even if you confirm them and they cancel as they please without a notice. It is a scam and is expensive.

We are pleased with the reliability of our True Green service providers. I would appreciate more detail in their notes but they are busy with customers everywhere. For example the technician noticed Black Spot but did not say if what was applied yesterday will remedy the issue. Also, I would like to know approximately to what degree will the spray control mosquitoes and how long should we expect it to last. We appreciate the service and plan to continue with True Green.

Just another company that tries to up sell you after you buy a certain package and then the next year they start charging my card and coming out without permission. Good thing is they gave the money back for 3 visits for this year. I asked the boy that came out and he said I have 5 more scheduled and I said no dont even do todays then. There are better companies out there than this place.

When I spoke with Stephen, he said his work orders did not include weed treatment, but specifically said no weed treatment. I asked him to treat the weeds. He was very agreeable. I m Concerned that Customer Service is not connecting with technicians.

My wife and I were with tru green for for over 8 years we had an issue where they damaged our lawn with their chemicals, they refuse to take ownership it took 5 calls to reach somebody to finally come out to our house, when they did they threw brown clumps of fertilizer and a small amount of mulch on the burnt spot, almost a month later my yard still has not grown back, we fired trugreen and we will never go back. Horrible customer service if you ever have an issue. Go local!

Enrique is always so polite and helpful when he is here. He answers all of my questions and is willing to walk around the yard with me to look at any areas I may have concerns about. He is one of my favorite technicians because he really acts like he cares about doing his best for his customers.

Avoid TruGreen - long story short, they will say they treated your yard, even send a report with names and times, but cameras say otherwise. Last month I got an alert that technician arrived and then finished 5 mins later - funny thing is I was standing in my front yard the whole time because I wanted to watch and verify, and no one showed. When I called and asked for the technician to come back after his service, 20 mins later he drove straight to me and had numerous excuses 1) GPS sent him to wrong house the first time even though he found me now, 2) couldn t explain when I showed him my house inside their app using GPS with satellite image, and 3) then he said he treated the wrong yard in our neighborhood but he couldn t tell me where that house was, and I m pretty sure I ve never seen posts about free lawn services from my neighbors. Today was a test run again and video showed (different) technician spraying my small front yard but then sitting in his truck and waiting about 10 minutes before sending a service report. When confronted that he didn t treat my back yard because I have the cameras, he just denied and wanted to leave. I do not recommend them at all - no integrity or accountability unless you stand over them and watch. Call center will simply read a script and try to get you to stay with 10% and 20% discounts. They will then offer senior technicians only, whatever that means. It s a frustrating time suck and costly waste of money from my experience. Hope this helps someone. I cancelled our house and my mother s house.

I use their mosquito service. Ive had it for a couple years and love it. They even come and do a free service in between their scheduled services if you have mosquitos or an you just want to make sure there will not be any. I highly recommend them.

The employee did fine. I have a few suggestions for the company. Since I am the only resident of this house, and have to go someplace almost everyday, I can t always water the yard soon after you come. Due to water restrictions, I can only use sprinklers on Friday. It would help if you could give a few days notice before you come or come on Thursdays if watering is required following treatment. I am also older and cannot tolerate standing in the heat to hand water for long periods of time. Thank you for your consideration.

UPDATE: today is March 25, 2024 & thankfully our lawn is looking very healthy at the start of the season. We are currently on our 3rd treatment for this season with TruGreen & im Happy with everything so far. Our TruGreen specialist, OMID Z is very knowledgeable & you can tell he s very passionate & dedicated to his craft. He s provided me with valuable information on how to properly manage our lawn to enhance the efforts they re putting forth. I enjoy when he shows up because I know he cares about helping our lawn flourish. Kudos to him & Trugreen.

Nicholas came to the door and was sensitive to my concerns about pets, birds, and other insects. His sincerity and determination to keep my entryway swallows nest safe reassured me. I wasnt happy about spraying chemicals on my lawn but Ive developed an allergic reaction to mosquitoes that left me no choice. These people are a true joke lol first time they came out the showed blatin disregard towards my yard by knocking over my boarders my flowers were walked on crushed and they missed a butt load of weeds they needed killed lol they left gate open so I called left a report right now the second time they came out lol they went and treated the neighbors yard instead of my they went to the wrong house in other words. my grass hasn t been cut because I need them too actually see the weeds because it s obvious they don t know what they re doing

Title: Disappointing Experience with TruGreen I had high hopes when I initially signed up for TruGreens lawn service, expecting a lush, weed-free lawn. Unfortunately, my experience has been anything but satisfactory. Despite the promise to cover the entire agreed-upon area, large sections of my yard were consistently overlooked, leaving me with persistent weed problems and scarce grass growth. After reporting the issue, TruGreen attempted to rectify the situation on three separate occasions, yet each attempt failed to improve the condition of my lawn. What further aggravated the situation was their chaotic calls and cancellation process. Navigating through their customer service to address or even cancel services was a nightmare. To make matters worse, after I had canceled their service, they proceeded to service my yard unrequested and unauthorized. They then had the audacity to charge me half the cost for this unsolicited service. Despite my repeated requests for them to cease contact, I continue to receive invasive calls and surveys, which feels borderline harassing. Overall, my experience with TruGreen has been deeply frustrating. They have not only failed to deliver the promised service but have also added stress through their poor customer service and billing practices. I cannot recommend TruGreen and suggest prospective customers look elsewhere for their lawn care needs.

Some of the major weeds are gone. However, there are still two types of weeds that seem to be getting worse - not better. Ive asked the tech before, and he just tells me I have to wait 30 days; well, Ive done that, and those two weeds are getting worse and spreading throughout my house and now my neighbors. Ive submitted an inquiry to TruGreen, and I hope theyll fix it. If so, Ill update this rating.

Canceled months ago and got a confirmation number regarding the cancelation only to get a notification about a new appt. I called them and found out that my service had never been canceled. This is my second time having to cancel and now I m waiting for an email and ANOTHER cancelation number. Just a note to future and current customers: if you cancel with Trugreen, make 100% sure they canceled your service.

BEWARE PREADTORY TACTICS!!! Called and wanted to lawn fertilized and they slipped a tree and brush package in my agreement with out my knowledge. When I canceled all services and wanted refund for services I didnt get, they told me it was in my agreement so too bad.

They do great work I like the text reminders and notifications. But I am knocking a star off because they dont invest in a quality website or phone service to process payments. The website is constantly down. Recently today I finally logged in and it would not let me add a new payment method. Calling isnt much easier since the phone tree glitches too. 20 minutes later after trying desperately again to pay this bill I finally got the phone method to work. Cs is great but not all of us can do our bills during business hours. Fix it guys! If your provider is saying the site is live or no issues they are wrong. Tried on multiple ips cell, computer. I completed a full year of service and do all of my bills once a month except truegreen since I need to try multiple times to pay.

Overall good experience! One of their worker was very passive aggressive. That s all!

I used TruGreen this year and for the first three services, I had excellent results. The remaining did absolutely nothing, and worse, the fertilization treatments caused a new explosion of grassy weeds that were more prolific than what I had before my first treatment. Ive tried to cancel service twice, the app is egregiously bad and obviously has no interface with their scheduling system because you can use the app until you are blue in the face and your service will still be performed (this is according to their own service techs), and you have zero access to speak with a service manager when you request one. The customer service people are nice, but very frank about the no manager contact rule. Ive also been auto-debited for a canceled service. If Adan Gutierrez, the general manager for the San Antonio area, becomes aware of this review, I would love a direct phone call. Also side note, a service corporation that does not allow customers to speak with managers when there is an issue, is a company that knows they dont have strong operational ethics. Forcing service on customers against their will to close out the branchs open service metric so managers can get their bonuses is a terrible practice. Especially when the frontline service techs have to defend it by saying its an app issue because theyve had so many customers complain about it to them. And lastly, its ridiculous to have to post this on a Google review because there is no other avenue to reach someone beyond the CSRs and service techs. Edited 1/2/24: After having a voicemail to call Katie back at a specific number, when I called back, I once again got a regular CSR, Laquanna I think her name was, after sitting on hold listening to hold music. So, I stand by my review that none of your managers will talk to customers to resolve complaints or issue. Terrible, terrible customer service on TruGreens managements part and grossly unfair to their own customer service employees.
